Microsoft Outlook Doesn't Like Me Anymore

"When I try to log on to Microsoft Outlook, my msn account, I get this message, "The connection to microsoft exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."
I am connected to the internet. I don't know how to fix this. Can anyone help?

According to your description, the issue is related to your MSN account in Outlook. Please check if you can access your account in Webmail. I suggest you create a new Outlook profile to have a try. About how to create a new profile in Outlook, please refer

Hello.. so yeah ever since I updated to Mavericks, Outlook from Microsoft Office 2011 doesn's work properly. It won't pop up with a window to either reply, forward or write a new e-mail and it gets annoying because I need it for work. So it's totally useless. I don't want to be deleting and installing MO again because my friend did it for me and I don't know all the registration details to prove it's legit or something and I don't want stuff deleted. Sooo.... can anyone help? I don't know how to get it to work, so frustrating!

What Apple wants from his customers?
1) I've paid my iPhone 4S 900 euros;
2) I'm used to buy music and apps from iTunes store;
3) my iCloud space costs 32 euros per year
and, like me, millions of customers around the world!
and Apple does not allow me (and many others) to use the internet traffic for which I (we) pay my (our) provider, that's not among those that directly sell iPhone??? Is this your idea of a really unblocked device as you falsely declsre from the pages of Apple online store ?!? Shame on you!
If I had know that the 7.1 led to this I'd never updated my iPhone. No one (Apple and the sites that live because of her) told about this issue in their enthusiastic comments on the new, updated version, of iOS. Shame on you!
This would claim a class action against such a behaviour!

Microsoft outlook doesn't open after update--any suggestions?

Just performed a critical update for MS Office, and now Outlook will not open. Have reinstalled a fresh version, so now have 2 sets of Office on the mac, and neither opens. Any help?

I am having the same problem with Outlook 2003 on Windows XP PRO with all updates and patches installed. It seems the only solution is to disable the plugin and wait for a fix from apple.

KDE 4 suddenly doesn't like theming anymore :S [solved, mods plz read]

So I installed KDE a while ago, slowly. First all I needed was Kolourpaint, then after KDE 4 came out, the whole of KDE. And I've slowly been warming to the desktop as time has gone on, and will likely extract bits of it out, eg the desktop manager, and stuff them into my own highly customized desktop when I get my new box.
At first, everything worked just fine - happy user here (I use Openbox, but having KDE there was just... nice. I think KDE is very high quality, etc, blah blah KDE vs. GNOME etc etc ).
Then one day KDE randomly decided to, like, go all icky. Well, maybe not entirely randomly - while updating KDE (for whatever reason, I can't exactly remember why I upgraded, except that I noticed I was installing KDE 4.1.2 or something when I did start the upgrade), I did a quick df -h to make sure I'd have enough space and discovered that my home folder had about 250MB or something like that left in it. (I'm really low on diskspace in my home folder, but I have a spare 18GB partition on my box at /storage with 12GB free, I plan to move a fair chunk of data across sometime) so I decided to ^C the upgrade to move a few hundred MBs of stuff over onto /storage, enough for me to get KDE installed. Then I continued the upgrade, and it got me here. Note that I CTRL+C'd the upgrade while pacman was downloading, not installing, and that's why the following makes no sense.
Some other things I've done:
- Tried to 'startkde' in an Xnest window too many times to count, with it failing 88% of the time (I was aiming for the other 22% success rate to continue what I was doing )
- Tried to figure out how to make KDE 3 apps look nice / use my KDE 4 theme (I discovered qtconfig in this period)
It used to have the awesome KDE 4 theme, the first time it happened it started up with the icky, horrible CDE theme.
I was like "AGH MAJOR EW" and ran to systemsettings to try and change my theme back... only to discover that approximately 100.1% of the themes available had disappeared, leaving only 5 very icky ones in their place, CDE, Cleanlooks, Win9x, Motif and Plastique. That last one suggests that KDE 3 has somehow taken over my system.
I've reinstalled the kde group.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled KDE. Twice.
I'm thinking it's something in my home folder.
What do I do next?

have you tried
rm -r ~/.kde4?
I know I've had some upgrade trouble at some points with kde4 and removing all kde4 settings and starting over is a usually a good place to start.
FWIW, I have all the themes you mentioned for qt4 as well, so not necessarily any indicator of kde3 at work.

OS X doesn't like Photoshop anymore

Been running Photoshop CS on my machine for a while now 1 1/2 years with no problems. Recently it's become sluggish. No other applications have been affected. I've repaired permissions and a host of other things but no luck.
OS X is also not propagating file opening inofrmation to Photoshop when a file is "double-clicked" outside of Photoshop. ie. when a file is double-clicked in 'finder' or another application that would call up photoshop and then open the file in Photoshop. When I double click on a photoshop file (ie. a .PSD file, it will launch photoshop but won't open the file.
Any help before I go bug the photoshop forums?

That's usually caused by a missing Photoshop file. If you've recently done an Archive and Install of OS X, then that's the problem. There's an important file that never makes it to the new Library folder. Open the /Library/ScriptingAdditions/ folder within the "Previous System" folder and move the file "Adobe Unit Types" to the same location in the active Library folder. If you've already deleted the Previous System folder from your hard drive, then the only way to get that file back is to either reinstall Photoshop, or retrieve it from a backup of your hard drive.
If you haven't done an Archive and Install, then you need to reset the LaunchServices database. OnyX is one way to do that. Make sure to download the version for Panther. Once in OnyX, click on the Maintenance button. You'll see two choices for the LaunchServices database. Choose the Reset option and click the Execute button. Note that if you've changed any other types manually, you'll have to reset those. Such as PDF files, which will now open in Preview again rather than the Acrobat Reader if you had it set that way.

Itunes doesn't recognize the microsoft outlook on my computer

Hi there, I'd like to use the calendar on my ipod, but it doesn't recognize my microsoft outlook, although it is installed on my computer. ITunes says that microsoft outlook must be installed in order to synchronize with the calendar. Any kind of help appreciated.

What version of Outlook are you using? You need Outlook 2003 or later to be able to sync Contacts and Calendars to your iPod.

Synchronisation between Microsoft Outlook 2007 and iTunes 9.1 doesn't work

Since I've upgraded iTunes from 9.0 to 9.1, the synchronisation between my iPhone 3GS 3.1.3 and Microsoft Outlook 2007 (running on Windows 7) doesn't work anymore for Contacts, Calendars and Notes.
I've tried several procedures (uninstall completely iTunes and Outlook, an iPhone restore, ...) but without success.

Autofill previously worked on Firefox 3.16 and Microsoft Outlook.

The back button doesn't work for microsoft outlook

the back button for microsoft outlook web access doesn't work. other web pages are fine

To respond to your comments first of all, the Bookmarks toolbar has been removed in Firefox 4.0
The back button should work as it normally does, but you can also right click it and select it from the list.
To revert to a previous version of Firefox, download v3.6.16 from here: [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html Download Firefox v3.6.16]
Then uninstall Mozilla Firefox 4.0 choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc.
Finally run the Firefox installation file you downloaded earlier.

I want to re-use my old airport express base station but airport utility doesn't recognise it anymore (it dates from 2005) i would like to use it to connect to my speakers only

I have an old airport express base station from 2005
I would like to have a network on it so i can put it upstairs in a room and connect my speakers to it so i can send my music (from itunes) over the airport to my speakers.
I reset it and now i want to configure but the Airport utility doesn't recognise it anymore.
Can i update the firmware? has it become useless because too old or what can i do?

Please locate the model number on the side of the AirPort Express. Hard to see.....gray lettering on a white background....so you may likely need a magnifying glass and good lighting to see it.
The model number starts with a "A" followed by four numbers. If you see A1084 or A1088, unfortunately AirPort Utility 6.x in Mavericks OS X (10.9.4) does not support these older models. However, you can still administer these models if you have a Mac.....or can borrow one for a few minutes....using Leopard (10.5.x) or Snow Leopard (10.6.x), or a PC with AirPort Utility installed on the device.

Not true. Select "Kind" as a sort category by right clicking the headings

If your Import Settings are for Apple Lossless, AIFF, AAC or whatever the majority of your files are, convert MP3s to that file type.
I've presently got 17,000+ files in my library, and they're ALL MP3 or M4B(Audiobooks). If they weren't when I got them, I converted them. Saves a LOT of hassels with just this type of situation. Besides I have two non Apple MP3 players that WON'T work with other file types besides MP3 so, EVERYTHING I have has to be MP3.

Email attachments download as ashx for Microsoft Outlook, instead of jpg, pdf, doc, etc. Tried to fix in Preferences Applications but still doesn't work.

Using MacBook Pro running 10.5.8. Downloaded Firefox 8 on 11/9/11 and now Microsoft Outlook Web App 2010 downloads all email attachments as "attachment.ashx" instead of jpg, pdf, etc. This was not a problem with previous Firefox releases which I've been using for the past couple of years. Can open files if I edit the extension to the proper variety (ashx to jpg for example), but no longer initially automatically opens. Instead I first get a "can't open this file" message. Attempted to fix in Firefox > Preferences > Applications by indicating the proper "Actions" for various "Content Types" but this had no effect. Chrome and Safari browsers still work properly. How can I fix this?

How do i archive my emails & mailboxes like you can do in microsoft outlook

I need to archive my emails & email folders(mailboxes). In microsoft outlook you can do this without it being saved on your server. How can i do this for apple mail?

In Mail, you can create a mailbox and choose "on my Mac" as the location. This will allow you to store email messages on your computer instead of the mail server.
Here are the steps to create a mailbox:
You can create mailboxes to organize messages. For example, if you receive messages from friends in a book club, you could create a mailbox to store all the messages related to the book club. You could organize your messages further by creating another mailbox inside the book club mailbox for each author you read.
Choose Mailbox > New Mailbox.
Use the Location pop-up menu to choose whether to store the new mailbox on your Mac or on a mail server.
Type a name for the mailbox, and then click OK.
