Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011 is Crashing w/ OSX 10.9.3

Hello - I have been using Outlook for MAC 2011 on my MacBook Air (OSX 10.9.3).
Suddenly today it started crashing the minute I log-in to the application.  Here is the detail of the info I received from the error report:
Microsoft Error Reporting log version: 2.0
Error Signature:
Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS
Date/Time: 2014-06-03 00:23:42 +0000

Blame Module Offset: 0x00008be7
Application LCID: 1033
Extra app info: Reg=en Loc=0x0409
Crashed thread: 12
Earlier versions of the above crash report said "Crashed Thread: 9" (instead of 12)....not sure if/how that makes a difference.
Can you tell from the above what this might be related to, and tell me please how I can get past this?  At this point, everything in my Outlook is completely hidden from my sight (including all of
my tasks) until I can get back in again.  It's pretty debilitating. :(
Thank you so much!

  • Create a "Do Not Send" List for Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011

    Hello,
I've been having a problem creating a "do not send" list for Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011.  Essentially, I am sending out bulk emails and when people want to unsubscribe I have no means to create a list so that no email is ever sent to them again.  Because of the number of emails going out, it would simply take to long to search each excel sheet of emails I have and purge the unsubscribers.
Is there any way to create a list of emails that outlook will not send to, even if the names or in the excel sheet?
If it helps, I am using a Microsoft Word document as the basis for my form letter emails, which then pulls the email contacts (hundreds of them) from an excel sheet, which then sends them to my outbox in Outlook.
    Thank you,
    Frank

  • Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011 (14.2.3) keeps producing the spinning wheel after implementation of Mountain Lion.

Since I started using Mountain Lion MS Outlook for Mac 2011 has become very slow, it continues to show the spinning wheel at almost everything I do. It is almost unworkable this way. Does anyone know how to solve this?

You can try rebuilding your database via the Database Utility. Make sure Outlook isn't holding onto any other databases other than yours. Also, if you're using an Exchange account with Outlook, try and keep your inbox as clean as possible. Microsoft claims that your main boxes (Inbox, Sent, Deleted, Drafts) should be kept as small as possible, and you should use a folder structure outside of these folders if you intend on saving and organizing old emails.
Is this just an Outlook issue, or are you seeing the speed problem anywhere else?

  • How do I connect my online outlook account to Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011

I have been trying to connect them, but it is telling me that my "command is not valid in this state" or my "security settings are not valid"
I am using POP and I am putting in the following:
    username
    password
    pop.outlook.com
    smtp.outlook.com

If you are using Outlook that comes with Office 2011 for Mac you should be using  MS Exchange settings not trying to connect using POP
In Outlook add a new account and just input your [email protected] and the correct password for that account and let Outlook take care of all the other settings. It is a good idea to make sure all of the Office programs are updated to the newest update.

  • Sharing photos via Outlook for Mac 2011

I am using iPhoto 11 v 9.1.1 (527) and Microsoft Outlook for Mac 2011 v 14.0.2 (101115). I have Microsoft Entourage selected for "Email photos using" in the General Preferences dialog box (Outlook is not available as a choice).
When I attempt to share photos via Outlook email via:
    Share> Email >Compose Message
I get the following error message:
Microsoft Outlook got an error: Can't make {subject:"8 great iPhotos"} into type property of draft window.
Is there some way to make this work so that I can share photos via e-mail using Outlook?
I know I can use the media browser, but that doesn't allow you to add captions, or to control the size of the image.
    Thanks, Dave

    Yes - as noted
If you search the forums some people report to have found a solution Request Apple - iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback and Microsoft address this issue permanently
At this time Outlook is not supported but some people have reported to find a hack to solve this - have you searched for the post?

  • Can I synch my Outlook for Mac 2011 calendars and contacts with my iPhone calendars and contacts?

I have Outlook for Mac 2011 and also use OSx Mountain Lion on my iMac.  I want to synch my Calendar and Contacts from Outlook with my iOS devices (iPhone 5 and iPad).  How can I do this so I don't have two calendars and two contacts that don't sync with each other?

if you don't have a online account that outlook is syncing the calendar with you can't sync it with anything else.
Just because you enter a appointment, or something, in the outlook calendar that does not auto sync it with other devices unless you have it setup to sync the local, on computer, calendar with a online account of some type. That could be outlook.com or office365 or google or even apple icloud. Once you setup a online account of some type to sync the local calendar with then you can sync that account calendar with orher devices.
This is what the other poster was trying to say but did not fully explain with the mention of icloud.
    StephenJHall wrote:
I have Mountain Lion (10x) not Lion.  When I go to Sync Services in the Outlook preferences - there is no Calender there to link to.  Is this because MS no longer supports Mountain Lion?  Is there any other way to sync to iCal?

  • Outlook for Mac 2015 keeps crashing

I installed the latest version of outlook for mac about 4 months ago and everything was working very well until yesterday when outlook started crashing. I've tried several fixes that I found in other MS postings like clearing the cache and preferences, creating

I have also tried to remove the UBT8T346G9 files from the 'Group Containers' folder but still the same issue. At this point, I would like to either troubleshoot this issue or revert back to Outlook for Mac 2011. The only issue with going back to 2011 is
exporting my personal folders from 2015 since the .PST folders I exported 4 months ago are no longer up to date. Apparently, export is not an option in 2015.

After a recent Windows update, Outlook for Mac 2011 version 14.3.8 is buggy, slow and crashing on my iMac running OSX 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion).  I was hoping that someone else might have experienced this and might have a suggestion to fix it.

  • Imac is 4 months old.  Using installed Outlook for Mac 2011 but now want to use ical so that I can start to use iCloud to sync with my Ipad2 and iPhone.  How do I move my calendar from outlook to ical on the iMac?

This is my first attempt at using this forum so please be patient with me.  I am new to the apple world.  Bought an Imac desktop computer back in October and installed Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 because I was used to Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and outlook.  Now I am being told that I should be using ical for my calendar so that I will be better able to move to icloud for use between my Imac, Ipad2, and Iphone.
The question is:  how do I move my calendar which is in "Outlook for Mac 2011" into ical on my Mac?  Do I have to remove the Outlook entries from the computer and reinstall them back to the same machine or can I somehow move calendar entries within the machine?  I appreciate any help I can get.  Thanks.

I also already deleted my phone number from iMessage on my MBP.

  • How to view my family share calendar in outlook for mac 2011 (ical)

    Hey All
    Problem:
Want to view my family share calendar in outlook for mac 2011.
Want to have them sync on the fly (push)
Currently running 2 exchange mailboxes which have their own mailboxes and calendars which you can toggle between.
For the PC this is a relatively straight forward task.. You can add an additional calendar to outlook and you are away. Wife's PC can view her own personal exchange calendar and on a separate tab she can view, edit, print etc the family share calendar.
For outlook for Mac, I've tried a few work arounds and none of them actually work, all the Apple documentation available doesn't really cover this.
Any help would be much appreciated
    Cheers

    Hi,
According to your description, I notice that Outlook for Mac for Office 365 cannot open shared calendar.
If I misunderstand your concern, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Which account are you used, Exchange account or Microsoft account?
Would you please login OWA and test to open this shared calendar?
Outlook for Mac cannot open the shared calendar which is a sub-calendar, you have to ask calendar owner share all calendars under the default "Calendar" folder.

  • Problem with Signature tab drop down in Outlook for Mac 2011

I am setting up Outlook 2011 on my mac and have run across a problem with the signatures that I have been unable to resolve.
I have set up 2 signatures for my two different pop accounts and thought that if I defaulted them to their appropriate account they would automatically be seen in email when I had chosen the corresponding email account. I then discovered that it was not
possible to do this in Outlook 2011 for Mac.
So I selected NONE as the defaults for my two signatures, and thought I would be able to manually add the appropriate signature to each email as I compose or reply.  BUT NO!!!! THE PROBLEM LIES BELOW:
The 2 signatures that I set up are visible in the drop down menu from the signature tab in an email, however they are greyed out and cannot be selected.  I have attempted selecting one of these signatures as the default, and whichever one
I select dutifully appears when I compose a new email, but when I click on the drop down to change the signature, both are still greyed out.
So effectively, I only have the option of one signature or none, despite being able to set up multiple signatures in my profile.
Does anyone know why this is occurring and what the solution is?
    Thanking you in advance.

    Hi,
Please remove the Signature and re-add it back to check whether the issue persists. We can follow the articles below to create signature in Outlook 2011 for Mac:
How to create signature or customize it (add picture) in Outlook for Mac 2011
    http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2455171/en-us
Add a signature automatically to every message
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/mac-outlook-help/add-a-signature-automatically-to-every-message-HA102928243.aspx
If the new created Signature is still greyed out in your Outlook, please restart the Outlook client in safe mode to confirm if the issue is caused by any third-party add-ins.
If the issue persists in Outlook safe mode, I suggest you ask a question in Outlook for Mac forum for further troubleshooting:

  • What is the best CRM to integrate with Outlook for Mac 2011?

    Hello,
I am rather new to Mac and need to employ a CRM for a new small business. After reading reviews we deciding on using Salesforce.com, since it is web-based and seemed to be the best option for mac users. However, now that we have subscribed to it we have discovered that it does not integrate with Outlook for Mac 2011.  Even after inquring on third party apps and plug-ins, it does not appear there is a solution.  MailDrop only works with Entourage and MacMail, which we don't use, or want to use.  iHance and Riva seemed liked possible choices, however they do not support Salesforce Group Edition, which is what we have.  Changing our subscription from Group to Professional edition is a huge jump in price per month.  Plus we would most likely need to pay for a monthly app/plug-in fee.
Bottom line, we want to keep using Outlook for Mac 2011 and use an effective CRM.  Any constructive advice is welcomed:
Any third party apps, plugins, work arounds that I may not have mentioned?
Any other suggestions for CRMs that integrate well with Outlook for Mac 2011?
At it's simpliest level, is there a way to export contacts from Outlook for Mac 2011 into our Salesforce account?  If so, I want to make sure to avoid loading duplicates in the future.
    Thank you.

Well, "feeling your pain" is almost cliche at this point.  I imagine every MAC deployed business out there is not completely happy with the SalesForce answer.  As a user, the perfect world is to keep using Outlook, have it be a powerful CRM - and not have to leave the MAC OS environment.....
I can tell you the direction I am going in, but I don't have any results as yet.  I found a link from a MAC developer that has figured a stable way to do this.  With the use of "Parallels" and "MS Dynamics CRM", there may be light at the end of the tunnel.  Essentially, you can now have a powerful CRM - without having to leave MS Outlook - and still use your MAC.  As I said, I will have to try it myself to comment further, but at least it is one realistic answer to keeping your MAC in the business world.
    Here it is:  http://www.powerobjects.com/blog/2012/07/02/mac-os-x-and-microsoft-dynamics-crm/
