Microsoft outlook recurring appointment issue on iphone

In Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2010, when creating a new recurring calendar event on the 2nd weekday of every month, the dates come out wrong on the iphone (event is shifted on iphone to 1st weekday of the first full week of the month)
Is there any fix for this?
Thanks.

I started to see this problem a couple of weeks ago. Until then for a few months I had not have any issue.
I found a solution here. The problem in your case is likely the sync between Outlook and Exchange Server.

> In order to have the 'deleted item' actually deleted at the server, you have to got to the 'deleted item' folder and *sync* it.
> Usually once opening the folder it will just initiate a sync, if not, click on the sync button.
When I tried to sync Deleted Items folder, I found it was not synching, and found large deleted email (20MB) probably stuck. I manually deleted it, then started synchronizing.
Now, deleted mail on Outlook is automatically deleted on my iPhone!! :-)
Hope this will solve your problem as well.

  • Recurring Appointment Issue Part II

    I've read all the postings on issues with getting recurring appointments on the iPhone; I've just gotten my phone and have all the latest software updates so I haven't had any problems getting them on.
    I am however having problems with the iPhone syncing up changes to one occurance of a recurring meeting.
    Any recommendations? Help?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    You will have.
    a) <access> element
    here you can use user defined function with two inputs we can call this function ifExtended. It will have three inputs. A is condition, B is queue no 1, C is queue no 2.
    if(A.equals("true"){
    for(int i=0;i<B.length;i++)
    resultList.addValue(B<i>);
    else{
    for(int i=0;i<C.length;i++)
    resultList.addValue(C<i>);
    And now you are connecting your condition to condition input. And <type> to second input (without change of context) and <type1> to third.
    Please check this function because I wrote it ad hoc.
    b) <tval> element
    here also use this function

  • How to import a microsoft outlook contact file into an iphone 3gs?

    How does one import an existing contact list in microsoft outlook 2003 on my home computer into my iphone 3gs?

    Within iTunes you should have the option to select your iPhone, select the Info tab up the top, select Sync Contacts and then (if given the option) select Outlook as the area to sync from.
    Make sure you backup first to prevent any data loss.

    How do I set up Microsoft outlook email on my iPhone and iPad?

    The iPhone does not sync mail message with a desktop client. Only with the server. If bigpond doesn't have adequate server side mail filtering, maybe you should create a gmail account for yourself and set that up on the phone.
    You can configure gmail to fetch the mail from your bigpond account. The server side filtering on gmail is excellent. I see very little spam and there are very few false positives.

  • Outlook calendar sync issue with iphone

    A friend has a desktop running XP with Outlook 2003, iTunes 10, an iPhone 3G running iOS4.
    In Outlook, he has his personal contacts and calendar, both with lots of entries.
    iTunes is configured to sync his contacts and calendar to his iPhone.
    The contacts sync successfully - the calendar does not, meaning the calendar on his iPhone is completely blank, no entries.
    We tried resetting the sync history in iTunes, creating a test appointment on both the iPhone and Outlook - nothing.
    We then set up a temporary local user on the XP box, configured Outlook, launched iTunes and went to configure calendar syncing when we noticed something different.
    When logged in as the temp local user account, in iTunes > iPhone > Info > Sync calendars where you have the choice between All or Selected calendars, under Selected, there was a selectable line item called Calendar.
    However, when we switched back to the regular domain user account, that line item was not there.
    This leads me to believe that iTunes in that domain user profile for some reason does not detect Outlook calendar, yet it does as the local user.
    I thought maybe it has something to do with the user role (he was member of some custom group, not sure what the exact permissions are) and changed him to an administrator role, logged out/back in, tried again, but no difference.
    I am not sure how to further troubleshoot this. What can I try to make iTunes detect the calendar? It's really puzzling because it sees the contacts in Outlook and syncs them just fine.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    This sounds just like the problem I am having since downloading the latest version of i-Tunes. Initially i-tunes wasn't recognised so after reinstalling i-Tunes and it's 5 other associated programmes I found that there was a cmpatability isuue (Right click i-tunes icon and go to compatability tag) Once this was sorted my Outlook calendar would not sync with my i-phone. 2 weeks later I am told it is because I have Outlook 2002 and need to upgrade. Frustrating as it worked ok before the latest upgrade.

  • Outlook calendar synching issues with iPhone

    My work Outlook calendar does not seem to be synching up with the calendar on my iPhone. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

    In that case the sync is with Exchange, not with Outlook. Both Outlook and the iPhone sync with Exchange, which is the master copy.
    Which is more current, Outlook or the iPhone?

  • Outlook 2010 appointment issue

    Hi I'm wondering if someone can help.
    Upon setting up an appointment in Outlook 2010 I have found that any time a 3rd party changes the appointment, the organizer will receive an email with an update to the meeting. However no change is made to the appointment on the organizers calendar, only
    to all other attendees. The organizer will receive an email with an update to the meeting. However no change is made to the appointment on the organizers calendar, only to all other attendees.
    Why does the organizers calendar not change after it has been amended by someone else?
    We are using Outlook 2010 with Exchange 2007 SP2.

    Hi,
    Please disable any third-party programs and make changes for the appointment by meeting organizer instead of any other users.
    Generally, when the organizer sends a meeting to all attendees, if there is an attendee proposing a new time, the new time updates would only be send to the organizer instead of other attendees. Then the organizer can change the meeting and send updates
    to all attendees.
    Please also check whether there is any delegate settings in your meeting organizer or other attendees.

  • Unable to sync microsoft outlook contacts (2003 xp) with new Iphone

    I'm seeking (desperate) help with syncing my microsoft outlook contact with my new iphone. I love the phone, but it is going back to the store if I can't figure this out! NO problem at all on email or any other function, but calendar and contacts fail every time stating "Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and must close". I've tried removing and reloading the software. I've tried downloading ActiveSync 4.5 from Microsoft. Nothing works. I even read thru these notes and enabled itunes from the 'about microsoft menu'. I'm stranded!

    First of all, welcome to the club. Syncing contacts and calendars is at the top of the list of problems. What version of iTunes are you using? Have you upgraded the iPhone to firmware version 1.1.1? Unless you have a Windows Mobile device to sync with the computer, uninstall ActiveSync, as the iPhone syncs by using iTunes only. Disconnect the phone and close iTunes, and run Outlook by itself to be sure it is stable. Did you ever get the error message before you first tried to sync with your iPhone? Open the Windows task manager and make sure that you don't have multiple copies of Outlook running. Do you see Outlook as a sync option in the Outlook "Info" tab? Have you checked the "radio button" for Contacts and pulled down the menu to select Outlook? Is Outlook showing as the program with which to sync under the Calendar area? I've gotten Outlook to sync with my "unsupported" version of Outlook XP, so it will work with 2003, although it may required the same fix.

  • IOS Calendar not displaying recurring appointment on the correct date

    I have a recurring appointment set up in Microsoft Outlook, with the following settings:
    In Microsoft Outlook, this appointment is correctly displayed on 2 May 2013 at 8:30am.
    But, in iOS Calendar, this appointment appears on 8 May 2013 at 8:30am.
    In June 2013, Outlook correctly shows this on the 4 June, but iOS Calendar shows this on the 10 June.
    Pretty sure this is a bug in iOS Calendar, but maybe I'm doing something wrong.

    Maybe it wasn't receiving the correct info from your carrier. You're supposed to turn your phone off once in a while so the carrier can update stuff. I had originally heard that you should do it once a day but I never did that.

  • Why do some recurring appointments in my iphone/ipad re-schedule the appointment in outlook one hour earlier, even where the original meeting is set in outlook.  So if a meeting is at 4pm, the iphone/ipad says 4pm but knocks the outlook back to 3pm

    Please help me.  This seems to be an on-going problem but it seems Apple are yet to have fixed it.
    I use my outlook calendar and my iphone and ipad but a problem keeps occurring when I sync.
    If I have a recurring appointment, say 4pm on a Monday and enter it into outlook.  When I later sync and re-sync either the iphone or ipad, it shows as 4pm in these devices but when you look back at outlook, the appointment has been re-sceduled to 3pm.  It only happens with recurring appointment but it seems not all.  It happens even when the initial calendar entry is put into outlook first.  I have switched off i-cloud.  Have tried changing the time-zone settings etc. but it is still happening.  I have literally wasted hours on this and it is now driving me mad! Especially as the problem has been recorded preveiously from others and the glitch has still not been sorted.  How can you expect the iphone/ipad to be taken seriously as a business tool when it has such a glitch?
    There is also a similar problem with the iphone/ipad where the clocks go back and forward.
    If someone techy from Apple happens to read my note, please please pease can you reply to let me know if a) there is a way round it, b) if not, when will it be fixed and c) if there is a way round it, please can you tell me exactly what settings I should have on my phone in terms of time-zones....
    Thank you

    I have this same problem as well. Updates to recurring meetings reflect correctly on my desktop Outlook and through OWA, but my iPhone shows the original meeting time/date and the updated time/date.
    My colleague has a Moto Q (Windows Mobile 6) and has the same problem....so, I'm guessing this is an Exchange Server problem.
    I also found this thread with the problem on Windows Mobile:

    I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only person struggling with exact issue.  I've rebooted, upgraded, re-installed, pulled all my hair out as nothing works.
    The biggest dissapointment with this thread is that nobody seems to have responded with a solution.
    And yes I've managed to pull together enough intellegence to tick the box "sync to outlook" in iTunes - still nothing man.
    Definately does not sync from phone to PC and is very hit and miss on PC to Phone.  In other words now running 2 seperate calendars - Not helpful Jan.

  • Syncing Microsoft outlook on PC to iphone issues since icloud

    I have always been able to sync my microsoft outlook calendar from my work computer to my my iphone. Now that I have icloud, I can't do it. What am I doing wrong?

    I too am having the same issue only I am in Regina, Canada.  iCloud appears to think Regina, Canada is in the Central time zone which it is, but it does not use Daylight Savings time.  My PC is Windows 7 and I am using Outlook 2010.  I have iCloud on iPhone 5 and iPad 2.   Terribly frustrating!

  • When receiving an appointment from Microsoft outlook And since upgrading to ios7 I cannot open the appointment and Add it into the iphone calendar?

    Since upgrading to ios7 I can no longer accept email appointments from outlook, open them and then add the appointment into my iphone calendar!

    Try a reset. Press & hold the Power and Home buttons simultaneously, ignoring the red power off slider, until the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. This should not affect any content on the iPad, it is similar to rebooting your computer.
