Microsoft Outlook - Remosync vs. Mobile Email
I have the Samsung Reality. The phone allows me to download both Remosync and Mobile Email. I initially downloaded Remosync to access my corporate email (Outlook 2007). If it froze up several times while attempting to sync, I contacted tech support at verizon. I was told that I could instead use mobile email to access my corporate Outlook account. However, after 30 minutes on the phone, we were unable to gather all of the necessary information to set up the account. I'm not the most tech competent person out there, and verizon was unable to provide me any further info than to just repeat what was being asked for. In the end, I got no where and still cannot access my email on my phone.
I have several questions, the first of which is what is the difference between mobile email and remosync for corporate outlook email? Is one better than the other?
Second, is there anyone that can give me step by step instructions on how to set this up and how to find the info that I need? We do not have an IT person in my office, so I do not have anyone to go to who has this info. Any help is appreciated.
I don't know what the difference is between the two but this site will help to set you up for the mobile e mail.

Hi!
I can´t send any email directly from Contacts in My Microsoft Outlook 2010 Swedish 32 bit version (Computer has Windows 7 professional 64 bit Swedish system).
When I type the email address directly in the field all functions well.
When I take the mailaddress from Contact its looks like:
Firstname surename ([email protected])
I Think it has the wrong format
Earlier the adress from Contacts was
Firstname Surename <[email protected]>
How can I make the Contacts addressbok back to the earlier format?
I hope someone has an answer to my problem!
Greetings
SixtenHi,
Any symptoms when you can't send emails from Contacts? Any error message?
Based on my research, Firstname Surname <[email protected]> is specific to the contacts in Global Address List (GAL), while for other contacts in Outlook Address Book, it displays as Firstname surname ([email protected]).
If a contact is stored in both GAL and Outlook Address Book, it follows the rule in GAL which means it displays as Firstname Surname <[email protected]>.
You may learn other information about Display the Contacts from this article below:

Feel free to post back if you have further questions and kindly answer my questions above.

Microsoft Outlook crashes when receiving email
I've been using MS Office 2011 since it came out, and all has been well for a long time until a couple weeks ago when Outlook started crashing every time it would download email from a certain account. It had been downloading email from that account since 2011 without a problem, but suddenly it would shut down as it started downloading messages and the Microsoft Error Report would pop up. I watch the progress window, and it logs into the server without a problem, but it gets to the downloading new email part and the cursor turns to the spinning beach ball and Outlook shuts down.
I hadn't made any changes to the computer that could cause the problem, and I updated to Mavericks a while back. It turned out I was behind on Office updates, but installing the latest version did no good. I tried deleting and recreating that account, but no luck.
It's a work account, but the company is tiny and has no internal tech support, so someone I work with tried to help me. Since I work remote, he screen-shared with me and made a change to the incoming server, but that did no good. He was stumped.
I have a 2nd email account through the same domain, and that continues to work fine, with the same server settings. I can access the faulty account through web mail, and I tried deleting messages on the server, thinking that one of them was causing the problem, but no dice.
In the meantime, I set up that account in Apple Mail, and it works fine there. The only problem is, I'd prefer to keep all my email in Outlook, since I have work accounts there for other things too (I'm a freelancer who works for multiple companies), plus I have all my email history, my calendar, etc.
I just tried that account in Outlook again, and again it crashed. I grabbed the error log this time, if that will do any good.
I'm completely stumped by this. Any thoughts? Thanks! The error report:

Microsoft Outlook can't send email
Hp Envy desktop Windows 8
I set up a new email under my microsoft account and a new alias. My outlook will recieve messages, but never send them. It keeps saying" There is a problem sending messages from [email protected] right now. Please check with your provider for more info." I dont understand what i did wrong, or why it will receve but not send. Its not just that alias that won't send them either. None of my emails send.Hi court12495,
I understand you are unable to send messages in Outlook. Based on the fact you have Windows 8, I am guessing you have Outlook 2013? If you do, take a look at the following: Get help when messages won't send. Hopefully one of the solutions provided will be of help to you. Best of luck. Have a wonderful day.

BlackBerry Internet Service with Microsoft Outlook Web Access account
I need to switch my 8820 to a new work account. They use Outlook Exchange 2003, but do not support BES. I have access via both regular desktop Outlook and also Outlook Web Access (from a different server). I read the procedure to use BIS in KnowledgeBase KB03133. After entering my email address and password, I get a message that it was successfully set up. But, I get no e-mail messages delivered. When I check the settings, it looks like it is not using the correct server for Web Access. However, I can find no way to manually enter it - I don't get the error message described in Step 5 where I can pick "I will provide the settings." I try to set up via computer but I get a message that my BIS cannot be accessed via HTML and need to set up on my BB.
Any suggestions? Would it work with a newer phone running a newer OS? Do I need to check with AT&T if it supports Outlook Web Access? Thanks in advance.Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
Lot's of possible variables...here a several other KBs to try:
KB03133How to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access email address with a BlackBerry Internet Service account
KB18567BlackBerry Internet Service cannot connect to a Microsoft Outlook Web Access account using Microsoft Exchange 2007 or Microsoft Exchange 2010
KB15173Locate the mailbox name for a Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2007 email account
KB04804Error message appears when attempting to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access 2010 account
KB02858Unable to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access email address with a BlackBerry Internet Service account
The trick to getting to the manual settings screen is to provide your valid email address, but an incorrect password...then, it will allow you to manually enter the settings.
Good luck!

Microsoft Outlook Mobile Service Address
Hope I can explain something I don't understand.I've read Microsoft Outlook has a feature called Outlook Mobile Service that allows me to send SMS to my cell. To accomplish this I apparently need a web service address supplied by my carrier. How do I find my web service address?
Hi
You can always send an email to a cell phone as SMS or MMS by using these email formats:
[email protected]
[email protected]
For example, if I want to send SMS to number 123-456-7890, I will type [email protected] in the "To" email field.
Is that what you're looking for? Looks like there are some paid third party sms server options that can be used with Outlook, but I'm not familiar with that and don't believe AT&T offers anything like that.
Thanks,
Dmitriy -
Email set up from Microsoft Outlook to Blackberry
I've just got a blackberry curve 9300 and have an email account on Microsoft Outlook on a PC at home and am trying to get it to sync so that I can check emails while I am away from home - one of my primary reasons for getting a blackberry.
It seems as though I need to use an Enterprise Account but I can't seem to get anywhere - every time I try to 'set up' an email address it's asking me for an email address & password which won't work and it's not giving me an option to go for an Enterprise Account.
I'm really struggling - any ideas?Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Bear with me, please...based on your post, some clarifications are needed...
BES = Enterprise...unless you are part of a corporate or other BES environment, you do not need this setting at all. If you are part of BES, then you need to see your BES admins about activating your BB on BES...it's a completely different process than personal/internet email services.
If, in the email setup wizard, you don't have Personal or Internet offered (e.g., it only offers Enterprise), then you don't have the proper data account from your mobile service provider. To use the proprietary RIM Push email capability, you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), you will then have Personal/Internet Email added to the email setup wizard.

I can get into my Microsoft Outlook email on my Ipad2. It will not allow me to copy parts of the email to paste into a program called Papermate that I use for my blog. Can this be done?
I've copied and pasted between programs. You hold your finger down in the text window or over the text until a little balloon pops up to copy or select all. You will also see two little blue dots, those are 'handles' that you can use to expand the selection box. Select what you want then choose copy
I've then gone into another program, held down my finger in the text box to bring up the 'paste' option and the text transfers -
Using MacBook Pro running 10.5.8. Downloaded Firefox 8 on 11/9/11 and now Microsoft Outlook Web App 2010 downloads all email attachments as "attachment.ashx" instead of jpg, pdf, etc. This was not a problem with previous Firefox releases which I've been using for the past couple of years. Can open files if I edit the extension to the proper variety (ashx to jpg for example), but no longer initially automatically opens. Instead I first get a "can't open this file" message. Attempted to fix in Firefox > Preferences > Applications by indicating the proper "Actions" for various "Content Types" but this had no effect. Chrome and Safari browsers still work properly. How can I fix this?
Hi,
I'm sorry you are having this problem, here is another post about the same problem, where the cause of the problem is described:

I have Windows 7, Microsoft Outlook and PSE 13. I have used the "Share photos as embedded images" feature frequently, but today when I went to use it, it wasn't there, only the option to send email with files attached. How do I get back the ability to send emails with photos embedded. I like adding the frames and backgrounds and I think it's easier for recipients to look at the photos. Thanks for any suggestions of things to try.
GailI had a similar problem in that my wife's iphone 5 could not send pics with imessage. Had to set the settings to default to SMS or whatever. After laboring many hours on the web I coincidentally was on the phone with the internet people to question my internet speed. They changed the router channel, which is something that I am capable of doing myself. After that, the pics go over imessage. My own Iphone didn't have the problem. We are both latest IOS 7.0.6.

I have updated to ios 7 and Microsoft outlook web access for work emails no longer works nor my remote access can you help
This happened to me as well. I read somewhere else that resetting the network settings (General, Reset, Reset Network Settings) would help and it partially did. I get half (the folders) of the Web Access screen rather than a blank screen. I tried tihs a few more times and got the right half (the messages) on occasion but never the whole web page.

Email problem - Microsoft Outlook exchange
Hi,
I was trying to sync my email, which is provided by Microsoft Outlook Exchange on the website icex.ic.ac.uk with my BB. However, I was having issues.
Interestingly, when I first set up my BB this email worked, at that stage I entered my email details but I did not setup an account in email setup. Then when I chose to setup an account one day, and then within the account setup all my emails it stopped working! Now I cannot find a way of accessing my emails without having an account, so is there a way of going back to the old setup...?
Thank youHi and Welcome to the Forums!
It sounds as if you created BIS account credentials -- your BIS account already existed (hosted and controlled by your carrier) and, when only accessing from the BB, credentials are not needed as authentication occurs via PIN. But, to access your BIS account from a PC/browser, credentials are needed as there's no other way to authenticate you to the account. Once you create those BIS credentials, you must use them both from a PC/browser as well as from the device -- but the device should have a tickbox to check that will let it remember your credentials.
If you don't have it, to get to your BIS account via PC/Browser (using those credentials you created), look here:
http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/Where_can_I_log_into_my_BIS_account%3F
Managing your BIS account from the PC/browser or from the BB is the same thing...it's just two interfaces to the same account. Once you create credentials, you must then forever use them. And credentials are required to access from a PC/browser. Personally, I hardly ever use the device interface to BIS...I much prefer the larger screen, keyboard, etc. of my PC to manage my BIS conduits.
If you want to remove the credentials, you'll need to contact your carrier to completely reset your BIS account back to an initial state.
Cheers!
