Microsoft powerpoint!!! help
Whenever I make a presentation on powerpoint I usually use pictures. However, when I try to open the powerpoint on to a PC the pictures don't show up! Why is this happening and how can I get it to work normally?????

Hi whoever is reading this, (hopefully someone who can help me)
I'm doing a presentation and I was wondering if it was possible to get Microsoft Powerpoint on iPad 2? If not, Keynote is like Powerpoint, right? If it is, can you put pictures and photos on to Keynote that are saved on your Mac? Like, insert photos saved on your Mac into a slide?

I downloaded updates for "Office for Mac" a few days ago and it won't finish. It keeps saying I have to close Safari, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Powerpoint and I don't have any of these open. Can anybody help me?

Did you do this through one of the Office app updates, or did you download it directly from the Microsoft website?
Whichever way you tried it, I would try it the opposite way this time, although simply repeating what you did before may also work. -

Hi there,
Captivatge 7 will not recognize the objects of imported Power point Slide to be used in Drag and Drop wizard.
If you want to insert drag and drop interaction as a part of quiz, then you will have to insert Captivate objects on that slide, like : Text Captions, Smart Shapes (not used as button), or images etc., then launch Drag and Drop interaction wizard, and also minimum two objects should be there on that slide, one as source and other as destination.
It does not matter if the Power Point presentation is linked or not, (if linked option would be checked then the later changes made in the presentation in MS Power Point can be updated in Captivate), so linked has no relation with it.

Keynote and Microsoft Powerpoint crash when opening a downloaded ppt.
Hello, I am having a problem that only is affecting my Macbook Pro. both Microsoft Powerpoint and Keynote crashes when I open a ppt. I download from a work site. Same thing happens when trying to open the same file with Microsoft powerpoint.These same files open with no problem on my iMac and my wifes Macbook pro and I can open the software and create my own ppt. Currently using MacBook Pro 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. Mac OS X Lion 10.7.K and Powerpoint 2003. Thanks.

Microsoft Powerpoint - when entering presentation mode on a tv (via vga to dongle) - you enter a mode where you can see (on your laptop screen) your slides order and manage this, whereas everyone (on the tv) only see's the highlighted slides in fullscreen - My powerpointy does this in reverse upon entering presentation mode and i cannot from there change this back, does anyone have any help they can provide, is so thankyou very muchAs i said above,

I have a mandarin project due like in a week, and I've been trying to find out how to do this on a mac. I've tried the international thing on preferences, but it doesn't work very well, and doesn't even work on powerpoint. Any help would be awesome!!!!

You should really have no problem with Office 2004. You might make sure you have the MS Chinese Fonts selected for your text field (SimSun.ttf and PMingLiU.ttf. They appear in the Font menu as 宋体 and 新細明體.)

Unable to import Microsoft powerpoint presentation
Hello.
I have Adobe captivate 8.
There is a problem about software simluation.
When I try to do software simulation, the error message orrurres.
[Unable to import Microsoft powerpoint presentation. The file may be damaged.]
But there is no errors on this file.
And this is working on another user's pc.
How can I solve it?

Keynote and Microsoft PowerPoint
I recently started using Keynote and I've come to like it a lot. However their are still many things that are different. When writing with Microsoft PowerPoint I usually used the right click synonymous word feature. I have not yet found that feature for Keynote. Does anyone know if it has it?
Thank you Kyn Drake. Hopefully, in the next Keynote they make it more flexible. As is, not having to do the drag and opening dictionary but have it right their were your writing.

How do I get microsoft powerpoint to play on my imac?
A friend of mine has sent me a microsoft powerpoint presentation that he created on his PC. I am trying to open it and play it on my iMac but rather than being able to click through each slide with the various lines that appear one at a time, instead when I click it simply moves to the next slide, without loading the several lines that should appear each time I click for that particular slide.

Microsoft Powerpoint appears abnormally on my iPad
When I open a powerpoint file during a lecture in class, a lot of the formatting is whacky and some symbols end up being squares. Some words will overlap and formatting is just all messed up. Because of this reason, when I convert the powerpoint to a PDF file or open the file to Dropbox to save it, these formatting problems carry over! Does this happen to any others and how do I solve it?? It seems like there is no way for me to open a microsoft powerpoint file without having problems! PDF works fine...
So when I look at powerpoint files in my dropbox using a computer, every looks fine. When I look at the same file on my ipad by opening dropbox, the formatting is all messed up again like I described. With this problem, I can't ever work with powerpoint files on my ipad...?? April NavarroThese are user forums. You are not speaking to Apple here. You cannot get MS products for free. You can purchase the student version of Office for OS X from MS. You can download a 30 day free trial that you can fully activate by purchasing a license key for $139.00.
You can download a free copy of Libre Office which is functionally similar to Office 2007 for Windows but runs on Macs. I don't know how compatible the presentation module is to Powerpoint. -

When I run multiple Microsoft powerpoint files at a time on my MacBook Air, it simply gets hotter and generates little noise (most probably fan noise). Will this make any effect on life span of MBAir??
Theoretically, yes.
Heat, and heat cycling certainly do take a toll on even solid state components. I have several "very old" Macintosh computers, and the logic boards exhibit the effects.
The fan too, running at higher speeds, does eventually cause wear. More than anything, the higher airflow leads to a higher propensity for dust accumulation on the fan, and the heat exchangers.
In practical terms though, maybe not so much. If you plan on having your computer exhibit a reasonable useful life before you retire it or upgrade, you may never experience any of the detrimental effects. I rarely use a computer longer than 3 years, before I sell, give it away, or just stop using it.
Personally, I wouldn't worry about it. Your computer is well designed to give you a long life, even in the manner in which you describe. Take care of it, but use it for what you bought it for. Nothing you mention is in any way, abuse. -
Can I open iPad keynote and iPad pages on a PC Microsoft word and a PC Microsoft PowerPoint? also the other way around?
Yes. You can export iPad Pages and Keynote files as Word and PowerPoint files and you can upload/transfer/email Word and PowerPoint files to the iPad and work on them in Pages and Keynote.
Be advised that there will be some degree of formatting issues and also that the iOS versions of Pges and Keynote do not the full functionality of Word and PowerPoint on a computer. -
Microsoft powerpoint themes that did not transfer
How can I get the Microsoft powerpoint themes that were available on my old MacBook but did not transfer when I transfered all my files to my new MacBook Pro?
It is in my itunes under tones, I was able to drag the ringtones fine but this is like a text tone that will not drag. and exclamation point comes up, the whole thing is pretty confusing to me, I am brand new.....thanks
