Has anyone tried to move or copy an instance or tenant of Project Server Online to another instance or tenant of Project Server Online?
We have been recommended FluentPro's FluentBooks for this. Has anyone had any experience with doing or using this?

Hello,
I have clients that have done this before and clients that are planning to do this (client currently in the implementation phase) using Fluent Pros tool. Fluent Pro's tools will save a lot of manual effort and the only other option currently to
date is to reconfigured the other online instance manually.
Fluent Pro's tool will easily copy over all of the Project Online instance config, if you have custom look at feel for PWA, custom pages, custom lists etc., these will need to be manually recreated on the target instance.
If you have anything specific you need to copy over, give the Fluent Pro guys a call to see if their tool will do it out of the box or see if they can customise the tool to meet your requirements...

Microsoft Project Server for SharePoint Standard

Hi,
We are using Microsoft SharePoint Standard version. Which product in Microsoft family should we add on to get the full capabilities of Microsoft Project into SharePoint Standard version? Is it Microsoft Project server? But Microsoft Project Server has a
prerequisite of SharePoint Server.
Any ideas?

From a licensing perspective to run Project Server you require SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise edition. A user (or device) that is using Project server would therefore require all the following CALs:

Hi after update Service pack 2 and December 2013 CU,Microsoft Project Server Event/Queue Services has been disable . I have manually change and start but after some time again same thing happen.
Kinldy let me know the process hwo to resolve this issue.

¿Can i run the Microsoft Project Server in Mac OS X Lion Server?

When i use the Mac OS X Lion Server, or even, the Mac OS X Leopard Server, can i run another program like Microsoft Project Server, because i need the features that this gives me.

Unfortunately, no one will be be able to answer your question re. a not-yet-released OS; they either do not know or are prevented from sharing their knowledge because of an NDA.

Microsoft Project Server Support for SQL Server 2014

Does anyone know the timeline for Microsoft Project Server to support deployment on SQL Server 2014? Also, has anyone tried this yet as an unsupported deployment, and if so, have they found any issues?

E-Mail rerouting is possible with an Exchange server. We use an adress [email protected] provided from the Exchangeserver. The mail is then forwarded to [email protected] to be retrieved by our CRM System for further processing. Please ask your Exchange admin again. I think he has to get wome more information about configuration possibilities.

How To Control the Langauge of BI Reports (Using Excel 2013, oData, and Project Server Online 2013)

Although I buried and posted the following question indirectly in a recent post, I would like to do so here to try and elevate it in the hope that I can get an answer.
It is in regards to creating reports using Excel 2103 to querry Project Server 2013 Online using oData. I would like to be able to control the langauge of my reports that I create for others to view.
Just creating and then saving the Report and Data Connections in a language directory does not seem to drive or determine the language of the report. A colleague of mine over here is using the same directories as I am, and his turn
out to be French like his environment. Mine, even though I save the files in same the French directories, display in English.
Any ideas on how I can create reports so that they display in another language, eg., French when using Excel to create reports? I know that we can set the language in an internet browser to control the language that the result is returned, for instance,
when querying https://.../pwa/_api/ProjectData/$metadata

Correction! Thanks to Doug Welsby of Microsoft and some our other MS friends who worked behind the scenes to correct/ assist me on this, I got the right answer after all... the difference between, example a French oData command/ statement,
and an English one is the inclusion of the square brackets with the language abbreviation/ code e.g., "[Fr..]" in the oData connection string/ statement. For further reference, see the connection files provided by Microsoft in the Reports and
compare the syntax for the same report/ different language. There is where you will see what and how Excel is able to differentiate/ control what language that the report result will return.

Microsoft.Project.Server.Library missing namespace name 'Office' -Error while building a PSI application using WCF sample code to read calendar exceptions.

Hi,
I have a WCF application to pull calendar exception detail from a Project Server instance 2013. As per msdn links shared below I have added two dlls Microsoft.Office.Project.Server.Library , Microsoft.Office.Project.Server.Events.Receivers as well as ProjectserverServices.dll
from the server.
On building the solution I am an error, The type or namespace name 'Office' does not exist in the namespace 'Microsoft' (are you missing an assembly reference?).

you can start with SharePoint 2013 project and then add the Project server dlls. Then add the tabs to get the project server workflow history and tast list.

Project Server 2013 requires SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise edition. Users that use Project Server functionality require a SharePoint Server Standard CAL, Enterprise CAL, and Project Server CAL.
I'm not sure I understand your last comment, SharePoint Server 2013 Standard Edition is SharePoint Server.

Timesheets in Microsoft Project Server 2010

Our team is starting this year using timesheets for collecting actual work from all of our vendors. I am having a problem seeing the actual work in project professional once the time has been entered into PWA, processed and approved. Would
someone with timesheet experience be able to help me with this issue? Resource has entered actual hours in PWA, saved and submitted. Timesheet manager approved. No actual hours show in the project professional schedule. Any ideas
or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Jan,
Actually you have to differenciate the timesheet manager with the status manager.
Status manager (who should be the project owner, ie the project manager) will approved submitted tasks updates. Once approved, it will be "pushed" to the project actual work.
Timesheet manager will approved the complete resource timesheet, including administrative work.
Note that if you activated SEM (single entry mode) in PS2010, both timesheet and task update are made from on single operation by the resource.
Thus in your case, since you're talking about timesheet manager approval, it is normal that the actual is not send to the project. The project manager (status manager) must approve the task updates in order for the actuals to be shown in the project plan.

I like Kiran's suggestion. Look and see if they show up in the Delete Enterprise Objects. If they appear their and you don't see them, it may indicated that the security permissions have changed and you do not have access to the resources.
Have you made any changes to your Security Model? Are you using SharePoint or Project Permission mode.

Microsoft Project Server 2010 - Need a query/report to show everyone who did not submit timesheet last week

I need to create a MSPS 2010 query/report to send out to my project managers that show them everyone who did not submit their timesheet for the previous week. I would like to be able to filter it by project/client but would settle for just a list
of all unsubmitted timesheets at this point. Every link I have found point to old reports for MSPS 2007 and the queries do not work because of schema changes between MSPS 2007 and 2010. Please help!
