hi its normal nokia plus microsoft and nokia belle still didn´t get support for video call and the ios and android yes what can i thing about this?it is the big problem make that for nokia8 or where is the problem ? please can someone tell me more about this tanx

Video call is not available on Skype for Nokia Belle (I really don’t know why and also would like to know why it is not working).
You can download Skype either by launching Nokia Store (Search for Skype) OR from http://www.skype.com/m.

As the iPhone 3Gs does not have a front facing camera, the person you are calling will only be able to see the view from the rear camera.

I have nokia c5-00-2 with 5MP camera. I'm looking for a skype version with video call option.. As one of my friend had it when he was in Suadi Arabia and used to call me video chat from his c5. Skype for Symbian has been discontinued and stopped working. Since the Nokia C5 works with Symbian S60 you won't be able to use Skype any longer. Please read this:

When will Nokia make Tango or any other video calls application available on Nokia Belle mobiles, such appliocation are very imoprtant to have, and Nokia should invite the developers to make such applications compatible with our Nokia latest mobiles.

Yes, after Belle, fring dont work and Skype never had video. Tango would be perfect.

Skype video call for Macbook

I am using 2013 Macbook air and download the lasted version of Skype. However, I can't do video call because of the camera. It can't be connected to either Yahoo messenger or Skype. I went to Skype > Preferences > Audio/Video to set up the camera but it didn't let me do. Could anyone help me with this problem? Thank you so much.

FIX:
1. You need Time Machine
2. Go to folder /Library/CoreMediaIO/Plug-Ins/DAL/
3. Copy AppleCamera.plugin to good place (usb memory stick is the best place).
4. Go to Time machine in date that skype work fine.
5. Change AppleCamera.plugin with file from Time Machine
6. Restart system, Now skype need to work with camera.

Enable Video Call for Skype

I have just tried to do a video call to a Skype account, but the video doesn't show. I can't see my contact and they can't see me.
All i get is a square with an avatar in it. How do I enable video calls for Skype so that we can both see each other?
I do have the new firmware update too.

here you go.
be sure you are set up first:
open your contact that you want to call. be sure that it has a skype address already saved. it will look like this:
it will start to initiate the call. once picked up, then it will look like this. tap on the menu on top:
a drop down menu will show. inititiate the video ability:
then it will show horizontally split with the options on the right and thier picture or camera image on the left. tap on camera...after a few seconds, you will kick in. this will work n900-any pc, and n900-n900.....over wifi, and over the tmobile network.

Poor quality Skype Video Calls with good connectio...

suffering with Poor quality Skype Video Calls and also voice.
My connection is 8 mb Download and .6mp upload, my wife in another country has Fiber so is alot faster again.
I am using Windows 8.1 and also a Ipad Air, same issues on both.
The Windows Pc has a nice microsoft Hd webcam (not one of the cheapones) using a i7 pc with 16g of Ram and a Gaming Graphics Card.
There is very little software on the pc, a couple of games, no itunes, Downloading software and very little running in the background. I use Window Defender and Anti virus and have recently done a re instal of windows and everything is updated driver and software wise, including skype.
The Ipad is the Apple air.
When connecting to my Wife in the Uk the reception isnt great picture wise and after a little while gets bad and also disconects alot and then comes back with a worse picture and call quality. I have even had the bad connection pop up. I have ran speed tests at these points and all are showing fine.
I also have a issue when calling my Dads land line in the uk where he has trouble hearing what im saying, muffled and echos
I am a premium paying customer and started to get a bit frustrated.

@Furgan, in which country are you located? Some countries and ISP-s are shaping Skype traffic. One known country is Saudi Arabia for example.
If would help us if you could please reproduce the issue and provide logs as described in this link https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA12321/how-do-i-create-log-files under Skype for Windows Desktop and attach it to your post?

It will be in a Browser on a Mac and involve a Video Plugin (most likely Flash).
GoogleTalk in browser also involves a Plugin.
It used to be Flash in the very beginning but then Google produced their Own - which at times has been known to clash with the Flash one
However Mac to Mac with Facebook will allow you to both use Messages.
Facebook's Chat ID is a Jabber ID and added as such (Other in Mavericks).
Google Talk is also a Jabber Server and Messages has a separate account option for that.
Messages can Video chat, Mac to Mac over either the AIM service (AIM and Apple Issued IDs) or over Jabber (those listed above or other Jabber server IDs)
What Messages cannot do is Video (or Audio) Chat to someone logged in via a Bowser to Google of Facebook or using a specific app (there was an GoogleTalk for PC app at one stage).

Hello Everyone,
I have been happily using N900 for Skype video calling.
When I first received my phone I was told by my phone company that N900 supports video calling without using Skype(using mobile numbers to other compatible phones via the 3G network)
My partner also has a N900 and is not able to make Video Calling either, where when we both had an E72 we had no problems at all.
I called Nokia 2 months ago and they said that in Australia, they will have video calling to mobile numbers very soon for the N900. Can anyone at Nokia tell me when this is happening? This was one of the main reasons I bought the N900 as it is promoted to have video calling on 3G as well as Internet (Skype or other).
I am keen to use video calling as I work with clients who don't necessarily have Skype, but use video calling nonetheless.
Awaiting Nokia's response.

iPhone 4 doesn't have video calling like you think. It lets you video call other people with an iPhone 4, and only on wifi.
I imagine it isn't included because not many people use it, it's expensive and quite tedious. With Skype, it's free.

New iPad 4G internet access lost during Skype video calls, also to all apps...

i have the New (3rd generation) iPad 4G 32 Gb and i noticed that i totally lost internet connection during Skype video calls. The wifi signal is full but loosing the internet connection. Trying other apps like safari after the failure i don't have also internet access. After turninmg off & on afain wifi from iPad's settings everything returns to normal state.
No other wifi problems when not using Skype for iPad, no problems with Facetime or any other application, no problem with any other device, i also have an iPhone 4 and an iPhone 3GS without any connection or internet problems.
Any idea? Is it a Skype problem, or iPad's know wifi problem?

I also noticed the same problem not only using Skype, but with other application also.
Wifi signal is full, but loosing internet connection.
Any idea please ? Have to return it back for repair ? It's only 2 weeks old....

I have Desktop dx6100 mt pentium 4 3.0hz.. please i need a help i cant use my skype video call. When u start to use the call my pc is hanging then i need to restart my pc to get it back to normal.. itry to uninstalled and install agian but it gave same problem any body have an idea to help..

Some people say that, the rear camera can be used for video call.
Is it true ? should I take a mirror with me always

if you choose a contact and you're offered the option to video call it will work (most Nokia phones from the last few years can make video calls over 3G) but using a mirror may not be the best of experiences ? You would at least see the person at the other end , it's not a feature I use personally but have tried it and it works fine as long as you have a decent 3G signal

Skype Video Calling

I installed the latest version of Skype to test out video calling between our iPhone 4's and 3GS 8GB, but there is no link for "video" on the contact page - only "call" and "SMS." The other phones also have skype installed. A regular phone call does go through, but no link to video calls.
Any idea what's going on?

You can only make skype calls from within your skype app. You don't have any link to skype video calls from within your contacts page. You have to go into your skype app select one of your skype contacts that are online at that time and tap the video call button.
You can't make skype calls to any of your contacts from your phones contacts list; you have to go through skype
