I downlaod Virtual pc 7 for mac's from dreamspark but after theprogram is installed i have a msg saying that is not suported. the probram crear stated that will support OS 10.4 and higer. what else i need to do to make this application work.

It's not compatible with Intel Macs. Use VirtualBox, Parallels Desktop, or VMware Fusion instead.

Microsoft Virtual Earth - available for Mac?

Having recently left the Evil Empire I don't want to install Microsoft products on my Mac but there is one thing I find incredibly useful. Virtual Earth 3D is, unfortunately, better than Google Earth as it supports a greater range of oblique aerial views that are useful for seeing sites and buildings taken at an angle. These are real photo's rather than 3D constructs - probably aerial images taken by Local Authority Planning Departments. Call me tedious if you like but I actually find this helpful.
Is there a way of using this programme just for Mac? MS being MS I doubt if they would produce a Mac version but if there's anyone out there who knows how to do this it would be hugely appreciated.

No. Office 2011 for Mac is coded to run with OS X. In order to work on the iPad the app must be coded for iOS instead.
If you look in the iTunes App Store, you will find that there are many apps that allow you to work with Office files on an iPad.

Is there a way to downgrade to a previous version of the microsoft remote desktop client for mac? We are experiencing issues with one of our published remote apps (regarding window focus i.e. which window of the open application is at the front of the
users screen) since upgrading to 8.0.9. This application was OK in 8.0.5. Can we revert to an older version?

We are also experiencing similar issues regarding window sizes and display settings with our remote resources, since upgrading. We are using remote desktop application for iPhone/iPad. Upon opening of our Remote App, although we have set the command-line
argument to open to full screen, we see the application resizing 3 times before it finally opens - and it does not open in full screen. Please assist.

Virtual pc 7 for mac

I just received vitual pc 7 for mac and tried to install it. I am not sure why it is not installing on my mac. The installation starts out fine - it seems to install what is necessary and asks me to restart. After restart it should continue with installation but instead it asks me to fix or disable or decide later on the settings for this application- when I opt to fix it it restarts again. After restart it does not go on to continue the installation. After startup it just says the application failed to open - then - reopen, retry or cancel. I hit reopen nothing happens, retry it goes rigt to report to apple. I need to run virtual pc because of the many programs I have that only run on windows. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it so much. I did notice in the system requirements it mentions that I must have A native G3, G4, or G5 Macintosh computer — processor upgrade and/or accelerator cards are not supported by Microsoft for use with Virtual PC

I tried Bootcamp, and it worked absolutely fine. I saw Parallels in action several times on different machines, and it looked fine, too. However, I did never work with Parallels myself.
There is no way running Windows software on Mac OS X, as the operating system interfaces are not compatible. However, there are several projects making Windows APIs available on Mac OS X, but none of them is really ready to use. Crossover is such a project, but not as reliable as a "real" Windows nor capable of running all software. However, just try it, there is a free of charge demo available, so you've nothing to loose.

There is no Microsoft Project for Mac. You could install Windows on your iMac then install and use Project in Windows.

How to retrieve Microsoft Office Product Key for Mac

Hi there, Hopefully someone might have a suggestion on how to retrieve the Microsoft Office Product Key for Office 2010 on Mac.
Scenario: Last month, Apple advised me my iMac hard drive may be faulty and would need replacing. That was done, I restored my iMac from Timeline backup and everything is dandy except I need the Product Key for Office to access any of my documents. I purchased the product online in my old job, that email address is now no longer valid and I have lost access to the email that the product key was emailed to me in. I am unable to retrieve the product key from Microsoft without buying a new copy.
I do have Office uploaded on my Macbook Air from the same download/product key, so I have access to the program on the laptop but not the iMac. Hopefully I can get the product key from the laptop somehow.
Any guidance or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks :-)

I recently moved from PC to Mac and overall have had very few integration issues when working with my colleagues who are still PC based. My office recently upgraded to Office 2010 with BCM and even when I have added Office for Mac 2011, I do not have visibility or access to BCM with my Mac. Does anyone know of a way that I can integrate with BCM through my Mac?

Virtual PC 6 for Mac - where does VP store my saved documents in Panther???

We have a 15" PowerBook running 10.3.9 with Virtual PC 6. We bought the software so we can run GoldMine for our client database. Can anyone tell me where Virtual PC stores my saved documents in Panther when VP is not running?
Like any application I am assuming there has to be a root folder in the system that it accesses while running? You can see the saved documents in VP but I am having a difficult time finding them in the system. Of course the Microsoft website is a joke when it comes to support.

That's because they're in your installation of Windows, and not on your Mac. Therefore you can't access them unless you've booted into virtual PC. Your only option would be to setup a shared folder from within VPC and save your documents there. That way you can access them from both Mac and Windows.

That group is dedicated to user questions about MS Office:Mac applications, including VPC. You'll find more answers in that forum rather than an Apple forum dealing the Mac/Windows compatibility.

MICROSOFT OFFICE 2004 PROGRAMS FOR MAC

Please take your time to educate me how to remove the Office 2004 Test Drive installed and disable virus protection software on my computer while I am in the middle of Setup Assistance before installing the Microsoft Office 2004 programs into my computer.

The Office 2004(test drive) folder is located inside of your Applications folder. Double click on Macintosh HD from the desktop then double click on Applications and look for the Office folder. The Trash icon will be located on the right side or bottom of your Dock depending on which orientation you have it. Once you have moved it to the trash then Empty the trash by right clicking on the trashcan and selecting "Empty Trash".
That is just a default warning that only applies if you have installed specific Anti-Virus software on your Mac. Apple currently does not ship Macs with any kind of Anti-Virus programs installed so you do not need to worry about it.

Yes it is an old Mac SE30 I have rebuilt from the empty case up. running OS 7.1P w 16MB ram
I am trying to build it up for the old style software I used to use. It has a 10MB external HD and 2 internal FD's.
I have looked on eBay and various other local lists but to no avail, the earliest I can find is Office 98 which is too big and requires a color monitor.
I have a copy of Word 5.1a and excell 3.0
I think Office 3 had Word 4.0/Exvell 3.0/Powerpiont 3.0
So I guess I could just concentrate on Powerpoint 3.0 or 4.0 to get the same effect.
But Office 3.0 would be the cat's meow if you know what I mean.
