  • Loading Itunes on Windows so that I can get my Iphone synch etc. But I keep getting a run time error for the Microsoft  Visual C   Run time Library

In loading Itunes down on my PC using Vitsa I keep geeting an error message saying that a program is trying to load: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library and ITunes will not complete the down load. Any Suggestions

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

  • Microsoft Visual C++ run time error

    Hi,
I'm running a sequence in TestStand 4.0 which calls various dlls written in C++ using Visual Studio 6. I have an intermittent problem with Teststand hanging on the step which calls a function in this dll. This does not happen every time, and I'm sure its not an issue with the dll as this dll has been working fine with teststand 3.0 for years. When TestStand starts up I get the following error:
Title: "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"
    Body: "Runtime Error!
    Program: C:\Program Files\National In..
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate ti in an unusual way. Please concact the applications support team for mor information."
I think this is being thrown by version selector. I guess this is related to the crashes I've been having with the C++ dlls?
What is the cause of this and how can I fix it? The OS is Windows XP Service pack 3 (though this still occured when I uninstalled service pack 3, and after I re-installed TestStand 4). Also we have 2 machines set up the same and it occurs on both of them.
Interestingly I don't get the error or the crashes on my own machine (Same OS but service pack 2).
    Any help will be welcome.
    Regards

    Hi iLoveThisJob,
I feel the best step to take first would be to try a repair on your TestStand install. You can access this from the Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Add and Remove Programs -> National Instruments software. In the dialogue box that opens, you will see Teststand listed and you should be able to repair. If this does not work, I would suggest removing teststand and then re-installing it. this may solve the issue.
Are you definitely using TestStand 4.0? There is a bug for TestStand 4.2 which sounds exactly like your bug. The workaround is simply to wait a bit longer after selecting which version to activate. To quote the bug's workaround, "Be patient and don't close the version selector while it's in the middle of making active."
Please let me know how you get on.
    Many thanks,

  • System requirement for the LV and VISA run-time library

    Dear
My application built from LV8.2.1 didn't run on the old-fashioned notebook, which was under XP and 256 RAM.
(The application was tested successfully in several times in other computer.)
In the only first running, there was no problem.
But after that, the application executed "twice" and one of two couldn't be removed even in Windows Task Manager.
(I had to switch off the computer for restarting PC)
However,  I am not sure if this problem is a kind of the library's bug but suspect the out-of-fashioned notebook.
What's the minimum system requirement for the LV run-time library and VISA runtime library of version 8.2.1?
    Or any other check points?

    Thank you, falkpl and smercurio_fc.
Of course, my application and the libraries have no problem in other computers.
There were no error messages but it seemed not to run normally.
My application had to show a status message prior to a VISA routine, but only a blank in the status control.
When I click the application one time, the application was not launched.
Then  the two same applcations were appeared in the second click.
One of two applications could be removed by the Taskmanager. (malfunction of the program exit button.)
But the remained one can't be exited by the Taskmanager or Exit Windows.
Maybe, I had better remove the XP and then try again.
Anyway, I can't understand  the reason why any NI Labview developer remained in silence for this kind of postings.

  • Itunes failed loading C run time library

I downloaded and installed the latest Itunes update last night. The download failed because it daid that i was missing a driver. I located and installed the driver. Now I'm getting a Itunes attempted to load C++ run time library incorrectly? What can I do to fix this?

I haven't tried it yet but just saw this and I'm going to try it next time I'm on that computer:

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features(Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    and paste into:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

  • Please help! when i try to open itunes get this"an app has mad an atempt to load the c run time library incorectly please contact the app support team for more info"

Hi everyone I was wondering if someone can help with this issue please. When i tried to open itunes in my laptop that is running on windows xp i get this error message " program c:/program files/itunes/itunes.exe
                     RC034
an application has made an attempt to run the c runtime time library incorrectly
please contact the aplication support team for more information."

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • Microsoft visual runtime error c++ library

I recently downloaded elder scrolls morrowind on the gamestop app. The game will open but when i push play Microsoft visual C++ runtime library error appears telling me that the game will close in an abnormal way. How can i fix it so that
i can play it? I have a windows 8 hp envy touchsmart laptop.

I wouldn't try "fixing it" with any kind of C++ approach.  And so I firmly believe this is not the right forum to get help for that.
It sounds like an installation issue.  Uninstall, clean up and reinstall.
If the problem persists, you can contact technical support for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind at http://www.elderscrolls.com/support/ or http://bethsoft.com

  • Run time library

    Hi Folks,
I have a few desktops, but ONE is a problem.  On this one machine, and only on this one machine, Outlook does not save the current draft after spell check and before sending.  This has the unfortunate result that the message is delivered sans-spellcheck.
I have verified that this behavior is restricted to this one particular desktop.  All users can log in to that machine and will suffer the failed draft save, and not on any other desktop machine.  Nothing is logged, so this is a silent
    failure.
To clarify, if I spell-check and send, then the result is a correctly spelled message.  If I "send", which will invoke spell-check in the event of misspelled words and send immediately upon completion of the spell-check, the delivered message
is the pre-spell-checkeded message as though the resulting spell-checked version was not saved.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks for the help,
    Chris.

    Hi Chris,
I suspect your problem has the issue which a number of people had recently.
This workaround is from a tech
magazine, and it was highlighted by Mrko5 on Microsoft community, hope it helps you.
Outlook 2003 messages are cut off
Following recent Windows updates, Outlook 2003 users are complaining that replies are cut off, chopped, or truncated, with only the draft version being sent. Some users say only the initial draft copy is saved, not additional drafts after editing a message
    for a period of time.
Every so often, not all the time (which is what has
me baffled), an email will be composed and sent by the user, however, all but the first couple of lines are cropped off. In some cases, the email is just sent with the first line. This problem is random, and does not affect all emails.
This problem affects only people who are using the Outlook Editor, and only if you take longer to compose and send a message than the "AutoSave unsent every" setting is set for (default is 3 minutes).
Outlook is sending the message from the draft folder and it's often not the final copy. Messages that are composed and sent quickly will be complete, messages the user takes longer to write may be incomplete. Replies to plain text messages aren't affected,
but replies to HTML messages might be cut off, if the user sent it before the draft was created.
If using Word as the email editor is not an option, you can use Plain Text message format. Either of these changes are made in the Tools, Options, Mail Format dialog box. You don't need to use Word as the editor AND plain text, one or the other is enough to
    fix the problem.
If you want to use the Outlook Editor and HTML (or RTF) message format, press Ctrl+S or the Save button to re-save the draft before sending the message to update the draft copy and the complete message is usually sent. However, some users reported only
the first draft is ever sent.
You can also change the default time before autosave kicks in. The default is 3 minutes. If you complete most messages quickly increasing the time will help, or you can lower it to 1 minute, especially if you tend to pause before sending a message. Make this
change in Tools, Options, Email Options, Advanced Email Options.
If none of workarounds above are acceptable, you can uninstall Internet Explorer 11 to eliminate the problem. You'll need to configure Windows Update so that IE11 does not get reinstalled, otherwise, the problem will return with the next Windows Update. To
prevent IE11 from being reinstalled, you'll need to Hide it the next time Windows Updates offers it. Select it from the list of Updates waiting to be installed, right click and choose Hide update.
Administrators can run the blocker in the IE11 toolkit from Microsoft
at Toolkit to Disable Automatic Delivery of Internet Explorer 11, then restart Windows.

  • Error message Microsoft visual c++ runtime library

I have new computer with windows 8.1, 64 bit.  My computer recognizes the hp photosmart C6200 (I have c6280) but will not let me download the software for it.  I downloaded the print & scan doctor.  I get all the way to the point where it says it's extracting then that box disappears and a few minutes later the box opens with microsoft visual c++ run time library, program:c:\users\theresa\appdata\local\temp\7zs3cde\setup.exe, This application has requested run time to terminate in unusual way.
Please help - I know the printer is an older model but still works great and others who come to my home are able to use it on their new computers so I would like to to.
    Thank you

Hello. I understand you are experiencing a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime error when installing your printer. I will do my best to assist you with the issue. The first step I implore you to perform is to backup your computer. If a mistake is made when performing some of these troubleshooting steps, Windows might have to be reinstalled automatically. Additionally, a reinstall of Windows will likely be required if the troubleshooting steps, below, do not resolve the issue. Here is some information on backing up your computer on Windows 8: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=c03270359
Before any other troubleshooting is done, please reference this HP document: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c01609772
On this page, please click the "SP40669 File Download" under the "See also" section. Once you do this, a patch will download. When finished downloading, double-click it to install it on the computer. Afterward, a level 3 uninstall of the printer software is required. This will remove any spare HP software from the unsuccessful installation attempts. Here are some instructions on performing a level 3 uninstall:
    a) On your keyboard, press the Windows key and the letter "R" key to open the Run windows. In the search bar type %temp% and hit enter.
    b) Locate the correct folder starting with "7z" (the correct folder contains "Util" and "CCC" folders).
    c) Open folder "Util".
    d) Open folder "CCC".
    e) Please run the L3uninstall.bat.
    f) When the uninstall has completed, restart the computer.
The next step is to perform a full virus scan of the computer. Viruses and malware have been known to create situations where a runtime error will occur. Please use your Anti-Virus software to perform a full scan of the computer.
Next, I would like you to perform a Disk cleanup in "System Tools". I have provided information on how to do this: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows/delete-files-using-disk-cleanup#delete-files-using-disk-c...
Finally, before reinstalling the software, you should download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Now, I would like you to utilize the Printer Install Wizard to install the printer software. I have included an HP document on how to use it and where to download it: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c02691615
(Please note that unless specified otherwise, use the Printer Install Wizard to install the printer software when my instructions suggest installing the printer software.)
If this issue is not resolved by the patch, I would like you to perform a System Restore. I want you to bring the computer back to the earliest restore point possible, in an attempt to dodge the runtime error. Here is a document on how to perform a System Restore: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows7/products/features/system-restore
Once the System Restore is completed, try installing the printer software again. If the installation fails with the same error, please perform another level 3 uninstall, and proceed with further troubleshooting.
The next step is to download and install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2010, 2008 and 2005 Redistributable Packages. You will find the download links to these packages below:
    2005 - http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=26347
    2008 - http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=5582

This iPod cannot be used because the required software is not installed.
I searched specificaly for the error message, and one person (I wish I could go back and thank him),  suggested  first to download to hard drive the iTune exe  file,  then after turning off the computer,  to turn on the computer, don't open any Apps,  disconnect your nextwork,  Switch off the secutiry Software (I think this did it for me),  and then instal iTune.
Now, I have to add one more thing,  the time that it worked for me,  some how,  when I turned off the computer,  it did some 15 updates  (window updates), I have window 7.0,  now whether these updates corrected some issues  or whether turning off the security software helped,  I can't tell,  but it installed the iTune,  and it recognizes both my iphone and ipad.

    Upgraded to BIP v 10.1.3.3.2
Open a template with the template builder
    Load a source XML file
    Proceed to choose Insert-> Field....
    Microsoft message pops up:

This error, according to Microsoft and other technical sources SHOULD actually tell you what the file is that isn't found, however when run through the template builder, it never tells you any file name, just the above error message!
I saw one other post on this forum about this problem, and it was related to the Java Home, so I went to TOOLS-> OPTIONS and my java home there is:
    C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_12
So this should be high enough JRE version.
ANy suggestions? What file or *.DLL can it not find? We have many people at a client (and me!) that have this issue.

    Pradeep,
I am not trying to utilize the desktop template builder to log onto BIP enterprise.
I am using it in an E-business suite environment, not a standalone BIP enterprise reporting environment. I simply use it right now to develop templates when I have valid XML to work with.
Many other features are working, but any features that seem to be new such as repeating group, conditional region, conditional format, the insert field palet, among others.
ANY feature that requires a .net service to be kicked off works only 10% of the time.
