Microsoft Word Templates and ActiveX Control Problems

Hi,
I am experiencing a strange problem in Microsoft Word. I am writing a VBA application which displays a cwgraph in a form. If I add the graph to a form in the Normal.dot template the control is fine. If I add the graph to a form in a new template (where all my code is) the graph displays evaluation copy. The graph in the Normal.dot template is fine and displays without the licensing information and in the properties it displays the correct licence code etc.
Has anyone experienced this before and got any suggestions.

Thanks for the reply. I have already run the license fixer utility and it does not locate any broken licenses. I have also uninstalled everything and deleted cwui.ocx in System32, then reinstalled and tried again. The strange thing is that it works in Visual Basic standalone, in the normal.dot template in Word. It just doesn't work in a different template file.

Hello Ryan,
Two easy options come to mind.
1. You may want to consider using an �ink annotation� instead of regular text for your explanation.
2. You can programmatically do a find and replace on the explanatory text. Have LabVIEW find the whole paragraph, and replace it with nothing.

Missing footer from my Microsoft Word Template in RoboHelp 9

I'm using RoboHelp 9.0.2.271. I have to show two different footers: one for WebHelp and one for printed docs (with different content). I do not use footers per topic. I use a master page for the WebHelp that includes a footer. I tried using a Microsoft Word template for the printed docs by adding a footer to the template. However, when it generate the Word doc from RoboHelp 9, the footer is missing. I've seen posts for previous versions that RoboHelp ignores the headers and footers in the template. Is that still true in RoboHelp 9? If so, I'll just add the footer after the fact to the Word doc, but it would be nice if the footer would persist.

When I save a document in Microsoft Word 2010 and then open it, I am unable to read it because it is gibberish with all kinds of symbols and numbers. I understand it has something to do with Adobe Reader. Has anyone else had this problem and how do I correct it?

Put your cursor on the icon of one of your scanned documents. Click on the right button of your mouse. In the list that will appear, put your cursor on Properties and click on the left button of your mouse. In the window that you'll get, read and make a note of what you see next to "File type" and "Opens with". Then post here what you saw.

IE 11 Restricting Running Scripts and ActiveX Controls on Local Files

I have been coding for my MediaWiki pages and needed to test these pages with IE 11. However, whenever I open a file in IE 11, an annoying message saying "IE 11 Restricted this website from running scripts and ActiveX controls." How do I do a

Note I would recommend a minimum of 4GB RAM.
You need to check all you software and hardware including any peripherlas you use, printers etc that they are compatible with Mavericks.
Any software that is PPC and uses Rossetta will not work with any OS X verson later than 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.
If you decide to upgrade have a tested backup of your current system in case of problems and you could return the computer to its previous configuration.

Workarounds:
1. Restore the OS X that you formerly used to run Word 2004;
2. Partition your hard drive or attach an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard (and Rosetta) so that you can "dual-boot" into Microsoft Word 2004;
3. Upgrade to Word 2011 or use an alternative program; or
4. The solution I use: Install Snow Leopard (and Rosetta) into Parallels 7 or 8:

[BUG] deploytk.dll file and activex control is NOT uninstalled

deploytk.dll file and activex control is NOT uninstalled, when you uninstall the latest JRE.
I have uninstalled the latest JRE, but the file deploytk.dll is still present in c:\windows\system32\ and the related activex control deploytk.dll 6.0.190.4 is loaded in IE8. Please fix this bug.

Unfortunately, it was *all* of my ActiveX controls that wouldn't load. That said, A user of the Info-LabVIEW list came up with the answer: reinstall the RunTime engine - wierd....

you are responsible for reinstalling any apps. It is not Apples responsibility as outline the the service agreement. Do you have the product key?

OCX and ActiveX controls

Hi there,
Can anybody please answer to my following questions?
1. What are OCX controls and ActiveX controls in D2K.
2. Whats the difference between using OCX and ActiveX control and when to use them
in our application.
3. A small procedure exlpaining how to use them in D2K.
4. Send me a sample form (.fmb) using OCX and ActiveX control (if don't mind).
Note: One can give answer to one question and other can give to other questions.

Buy version 2011 of MS Office.
Or you can download OpenOffice, LibreOffice or NeoOffice, which all come very close to working with MS files just like MS Office does.
Or iWord, I have heard, you can purchase.

Each application will need to be updated to work with Versions, Full Screen, and other Lion-specific features.

Versions of Word on Windows make a backup file with the extension .abk, if that has been enabled in their options, I do not know whether the Mac versions do, or whether you enabled it but try using Spotlight to search for .abk or just abk.
Where were you trying to save? a network server drive?

How can I fix a document having a microsoft Word logo and a "PDF" file extention?

I am a subscriber to Adobe Create PDF. When I scan in documents from my HP 8600 all in one, it shows up in my computer with a pdf file extention, but with a microsoft WORD logo. I cannot simply open it with a double click and see a PDF adobe display. Instead I get a window generated from WORD that has garbage symbols and unreadable cybertext which I cannot convert. How can the be fixed?
