Middel East language (e.g. arabic) support problem

hello,
any one know about arabic language support in director with any xtras or any other supported third party software or activex control.
basically my application have one index with english text and i want same index in arabic also but in director when i paste arabic(unicode) text which font is arial, it is not show properly.
if know help me pleas.

i am using director 11.5, and i want input and display both. input is in my aplication's search feture. and i am using arca database xtra for my record and using that i give my client to search facility in my english version and i want to try it in multi language support.
curruntly i am trying to make my index in flash cs4 and actionscript 3 and it is support properly, in swf i write one variable wich return me a number of line wich i clicked it is finely work in sef but when i import that swf in my director 11.5 project i anable to retrive flash variable by using getvariable() method it is always give me "" (blank string).

Middle-East Languages support - Will it ever be so...

Dear the Skype support team,
As an Israeli user who's using Skype a lot for work and private purposes, After so many years I really can't understand why there's no any Middle-East languages full support. Of course, you can to change the language to hebrew, but then everything is mixed up because it's built on the base of Left-to-Right languages, like English etc.
I am attaching a few images to show the difference between how it is right now using Hebrew with skype and how it is should be like.
Skype home:

As you can see the all interface should be RTL, starting with changing the places of the Skype home and the contacts and recent window tabs, as the status changing, the friends latest updates which should be RTL (the profile picture and the text in opposite sides), changing the place between the "recent" and "contacts" tabs, and also there to change the place between the contacts profile picture to theirs Skype nickname and status.

As you can see, it's not so bad as it is in Skype home, but still something writing in Hebrew, changing to English, and going back to Hebrew mix-up the order of the sentence and become impossible to read, also the usernames and the sending times are in opposite sides and makes it more complicated to know who the message were sent from.
If you'll need anymore help with understanding how to make it comfortable to use for Middle-East users, I'll be glad to help, but please fix this issue, which should be a minor one, and despite this not yet solved.

Hw can i get arabic support in oracleAS using jstl: showing '?????' symbols

Hello All,
I am using OracleAS for portal deployment and portlets UI constructed by using jstl.
i have used spring portlet jstl for the jsp pages.
when i am trying to change the language, it is showing '?????' symbols.
I have used correct unicode. i tested in pluto portal server. when i deployed in oracleAS,
for english not a problem. for arabic it is showing as '????'.
i have used this code to get arabic in pluto. same code i used. i am getting error.

i know it is not setting charector encoding.

Only Apple Account Security could help at this point. You can try calling Apple Support in Canada - you'll have to find one of the several ways, such as Skype, to call an 800 number from outside of the relevant country - and ask for Account Security and see if they can help. Or you can find a friend who speaks Chinese and ask them to help you talk to Apple Support in China. There are really no other options that I know of.
Note, by the way, that these are user-to-user support forums. You aren't speaking with Apple when you post here.

I am trying to reach the developer for long time but the email provided is a mailing list which no one else has the right to post to it except their team.
There is a big problem with Arabic words searching in an Arabic PDF file with adobe Reader for android. To search for a word, I have to write the words backward, like instead of "Adobe" I have to write "ebodA" but in Arabic language. I know that your app developers are Indians, but please let an Arabic person show you how he can't search for a word in an Arabic PDF file. Please fix it urgently. it is very important for the Arabic language readers. Thanks for your action.

You might find that this is a limitation in either the software or the file. Some Arabic files are written left-to-right internally, and look right but are backwards in each line.

INSO filter Arabic support

Anyone know if the INSO filter supports Arabic Microsoft Word documents? I'm using 9.2.0.5.0 on Windows, my index type is ctxsys.context and the lexer is the default lexer. I couldn't find any info on the language support in the release notes. Other language Word documents seem to work okay (e.g. Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Swedish, Icelandic).

1) You stated that you are using the 'default' lexer. What lexer(s) are you using? The fact that you have Chinese, Japanese, and more languages being indexed (with no problems) indicates to me that you are using the multi_lexer as well as language specific lexers (unless you are on a newer release using the world_lexer). Please clarify.
2) I doubt your issue is with the word doc and the inso filter, but rather the text contained therein, and the ability of whatever lexer you are using to create appropriate tokens. We'll know better with your answer to #1.
3) I'd recommend you look at the user_lexer for Arabic once you find out the answer to #1. If you are on 10g, look at the WORLD_LEXER which supports Arabic.

provide arabic support?Please go to "Regional and Language Options" from the Control Panel. In the "Standards and formats" group of the "Regional Opitons" tab, select "Arabic (Saudi Arabia)". In the "Language for non-Unicode programs" group of the "Advanced" tab, select "Arabic (Saudi Arabia)", then restart Windows. If "Arabic (Saudi Arabia)" is not listed, then please go to the "Langauges" tab and make sure the "Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages (including Thai)" in the "Supplemental language support" group is checked.

If you're planning to support other languages in the future, I would recommend you to create your database in UTF8 (Forms/Reports 6i doesn't work with AL32UTF8 database). Please note Arabic characters are represented in 2 bytes in UTF8 while they are 1 byte in AR8MSWIN1256.
2.How to install forms & Reports with arabic support?If you need Arabic translation, then please select Arabic when you're asked the language(s) to install. Otherwise, notmal Forms/Reports installation should work for you.
3.How to dispaly the data in both english and arabic in
forms and reports?Set your NLS_LANG to ARABIC_SAUDI ARABIA.AR8MSWIN1256.

How can I activate the Middle East Languages in My Indesign CS6?

I need to view and change the Middle East Language Text in the Indesign Documents.
I've the Adobe CS6 Master Suite. Do I need to buy a particular version of Indesign CS6? Or i't enough to download some package?

Peter and Steve have already given you somewhere between 90% and 100% of the answers you'd need to get this to work.
If I open a document with Arabian Text (for example) I see this text
That makes it look like you are missing a font. If you have InDesign documents that already have correctly-typeset Arabic (not "Arabian") text using contemporary fonts and RTL text direction, then all you have going on here is a dropped font. When you open the document up, do you get a missing-fonts warning? If so, that's what you need to fix! If not, then you need to be using the same version of the font that was used in the document originally. In fact, if I had to take a guess, I would guess that someone typeset an Arabic document in one of those fonts on a Windows machine in Arial, and your Mac has an old version of Arial that has no Arabic glyphs. Or something along those lines. But it's just a guess - without more information from you, all we can do here is guess and make general reccomendations.
Speaking of which:
I'd strongly recommend viewing Diane's videos on Lynda. com. It will answer all your questions. It's a pretty complex area if you haven't done it before:
Steve's recco here is a very good one. That is the best intro to this kind of work that I have ever seen.
. I would think that a file that was saved from an Arabic enabled version would already have the Composer, and Right -to-left options, activated, but it's outside my workflow.
Peter's observation here is correct, most of the time. Some Arabic files were produced by 20th-century means (mirror-reversed fonts, custom-encoding hacks, special fonts that only really work with ArabicXT on Quark, and so on) and require significant reconstruction if you want to use them in CS6.
So if their suggestions don't get you 100% of the way to a working document, try posting some more details (like names of fonts, histories of files, more-revealing screenshots of the whole ID window in View-> Screen Mode -> Normal with text tool active, and so on) and I'm sure we can figure it out.

Nokia phones do not have/support user-installable "language packs".
You could ask if a local Nokia repair center could install a phone software (firmware) with Arabic support: http://www.nokia.com/repair
Otherwise your alternatives may require the use of illegally distributed, hacked software and firmware files, and the discussion is best to leave right there (here).

Good day. As per our project requirment, we need to have 2 versions of Application. One in English & Arabic. Our Idea to implement Arabic is to have a properties file.(Resource bundle). But I cannot see the Arabic letters in property file created using Arabic. So we moved to Word pad & saved the document as Arabic. I am able to reach the properties. But when i use to get the string from there I m getting an exception No resource bundle found for locale.

MS Word for Mac does not yet support Arabic (or various other scripts). You should let MS know that you want that.
I have had reports, however, that PowerPoint and Entourage in MS Office 2008 will do correct Arabic. Could you confirm that for me?
For Arabic the best Mac word processor is Mellel. Others are TextEdit, Nisus Writer, iText Pro, NeoOffice, OpenOffice, StarOffice.

And then when he phones back as we agreed he's not actually on the phone, it's just a voice saying Apple Support is now closed! What on earth is going on at apple support I wonder.
Anyway, the original problem: an application called JotNot Pro fails to update. The error message says something like "you cannot update this cos either you bought it with a different Apple ID or somebody else bought it."
Neither applies. Can anybody help?
PS. This is my first approach to the support community so please bear with me!
