Middle Button in the Mouse, App selector

Hi, I have a Mac Book Pro with one month running in Yosemite (I was in the beta program so I m running the last update, which I do not know if it is the same as the commercial release).
I am used to have the application selector (which you can activate with Cmd + Tab) in the middle button of my mouse but in the preferences window of Yosemite I do not find the way to configure it like this.
Am I missing something? Is there any way to do it??

Try going into the control panel, iCloud settings, Toggle iCloud syncing on and then off and then see if you can add events.
It's an old glitch that sometimes pops up

Disable middle button paste in terminal app

Does anyone know how to disable middle-button paste in the terminal app? I use the middle-button scroll wheel all the time, but it often generates a middle-button click which now seems (in 10.8) to paste and run whatever's in the clipboard, and this has been causing me all kinds of havoc. Does anyone know of a way to disable it?

Actually the middle button on a mouse has a specific function in OS X and you have overwritten that. If you hadn't it would work as it should in Win XP for ACad. You need to remove that change of assignments and go back to Default.
There also may be an isolation feature in Parallels where once you are in Parallels the mouse and keyboard commands are only relayed to the OS in parallels. Not sure as I use VMware Fusion.

Where did the AirPlay button in the video app go in iOS 8?

I Used the quick AirPlay button in the video app quite often. I just upgraded to iOS 8. I noticed that it is gone. Am I missing it anywhere? Why would this be removed?

No don't bother restarting anything, like me I know my hardware is working fine but it was something to to with the iOS 8 update.
I fixed my iPhone 5 by going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. I will warn you now that as far as I know it will wipe every stored WiFi network you've ever connected to so you will have to enter them in all again but that doesn't bother me.
I'm sure the good people at Apple are already working on a fix so you could always wait.

For the reminders app - just tap on an open space on the ruled paper window under the heading in order to create a new reminder. Or tap on the + sign in the upper right corner of the app. You do not have the + sign on the app?
For the calendars app to go Settings>iCloud>Calendars>On. Toggle the setting on and off and the + sign should appear in the lower right corner of the calendars app. Tap the + sign to create a new event.

My mouse and trackpad arent responding the click on finder, i can use multitouch but not 1 touch. Aswell when i go to the findertab at the bottum with the mouse, app icons Does Not expand.

Not using any mouse pad, I have a very smooth desktop. But I just tried to use a sheet of A4 printing paper, but no result, the problem persisted.
Someone on this forum suggested, that USB3 may interfere with the magic mouse.
I have 2 LaCie HDD's about 70 cm away from the mouse, I use them on Thunderbolt. But in operation or not - the result is the same, the mouse plays up! Just now I was clicking the desktop and the mouse created a new folder!!

NEED Middle button for Magic Mouse in Bootcamp!

Hey guys!
I recently purchased a Magic Mouse, and my oh my is it AWESOME! Problem is that it hadn't occured to me there was no middle button and I DESPERATELY need a middle button to use Solidworks under Bootcamp. Anyone know of any drivers/programs/hacks that'll enable middle button for me? Else I've effectively wasted $70, and being a student, that hurts.
PLEASE let me know ASAP! I'd hate to have to get one of those generic mouses.

I am pretty sure that this is not possible, try finding a version of the software you use that is compatible with Mac OS X?

The button on the mouse doesn't scroll down or sidewides...

This is a minor bother but it bugs me every single day. The little nub-button (Button 3 according to System Preferences) on my cordless not-magic mouse will only scroll up; not down or side wides. I've mucked about with the mouse preferences setting but it's still not working. There has got to be an easy fix for this; I'm just missing it.
The batteries are still at 66% so I don't think that's the problem. Any ideas?

Usually when that happens, you need to clean it.

You will find many other ways of cleaning an Apple Mighty Mouse (the only one with a scroll ball) - just search for variations of "mighty mouse scroll ball" in your favorite search engine.

After upgrading to IOS 7.0.2 I can't see the radio button in the music app on my iPad

The radio button does not show anymore in my music app on my iPad after I upgraded to IOS 7.0.2 - it did show briefly the first time I started the app after upgrading but immediately disappeared and is now gone for good. Don't have the issue with my iPhone at all. There it still shows - I tried to restore my iPad and again, opening the music app I was able to see the radio button for 5 seconds and than it disappeared. Any suggestion ?

Following ultimately helped me : Make sure that you are logged in at the App Store App or iTunes App with your apple ID and password with a US account. Turn your iPad off and on and than you should see the Radio button again. It won't work if you are logged on with a foreign account. If you are not logged in at all, it worked, too.

Customized buttons in the Music App

Good morning, all.
I use my iPod Touch 4G mainly to listen to podcasts and audiobooks. For previous versions of iOS I have customized the quick access buttons on the bottom of the UI. When I updated to iOS 6, the buttons changed to Playlists, Podcasts, Genres, Albums, More. I went to More > Edit which brought me to the configure page and I replaced Genres with Audiobooks, then clicked Done.
The problem occurs sometime later. I have not successful reproduced on demand the circumstances, but after a day or two, the quick access buttons revert to the default settings. Is there someway to make the change permanent (until I decide to change it)?

I am having the same issues though they only started recently. I use Music to listen to podcasts and replaced the Album button with the Podcasts button. Every so often it will go back to default, most times it seems it is after I sync my iPod with my computer to get new episodes. I change it back every time and it stays that way for a while but then reverts back. Not sure if it happens every time I do a sync or not, but seems to have just started this behavior in the last few weeks and again noticed it today after sync yesterday.
Is there any other place that this could be resetting itself? I know you can customize your home screen with iTunes, but thought the only way to change the menus in Music was within the app itself.

How can I enable the Places and Faces Button in the Photos App?

There is no button in my Photos App which shows Faces or Places. What do I have to do? Do I need to install iPhoto first, and then enable Faces and Places there, in order to have it on the Photos App? I am using an iPad3 WIFI only.

You sync those folders from iPhoto on a Mac computer. Those are "built in" folders in the iPhotos app on a Mac. I don't use iPhoto for iOS, so I cannot comment on whether they exist in the app itself.
Those folders will sync automatically from iPhoto if they have been selected to sync in iTunes. You don't set them up on the iPad.

I am missing my button on the notes app for my Ipad

After the update on Thrusday, the + and all control menu is gone from the notes app. How can I get it back?

Go to settings>icloud>storage and back up>back up
or back it up to a computer
after that preform a restore by going to
general>reset>erase all content and settings
this will delete everything except the enabled stuff on icloud.
You can view whats enabled by going to icloud in settings.

How to create Keyboard Shortcuts to Activate Buttons without the Mouse?

Is there a way to create keyboard shortcuts in HTMLDB like CTRL+N to activate the Create New button, CTRL+S to Save the record, etc?

If the control is a button you will need to make sure that it is an html button so that you can modify the attributes.

Why does Firefox 5 open links in a new tab or new window rather than within the same tab? Previous versions opened links in the same tab allowing use of the "back" button on the mouse. Having to close so many tabs and windows is really irritating.

I ask about the page because Firefox 23 seems to have introduced a problem with Firefox's "fast back-forward cache" on the Google search results page. It is related to the "instant prediction results" feature interacting with Firefox is some different way. FINDER RELANUCH every 3 clicks with the second button of the mouse.

I have a Power Book G4 and a MacBookPro, and in both of them i have the same problem. If i click 3 times on a folder holding control key, the finder just relaunches, and every window of the finder i am working with just close. It is really dificult to work like this. And another thing is that when i run Quark on my old machine it runs perfect but when i try it on my new Macbook pro it just closes for it self.
I really need to work! and it is very dificult for my like this. CAN YOU HELP PLEASE???
I was thinking of reinstalling the OS but i don't want to loose any of my stuff like mail, or the programs that came with the macbook like garage band etc,..

Hi nicolastarallo, it sounds like a Contextual Menu item.
Navigate to ~(yourHome)/Library/Contextual Menu Items and move whatever is there to the desktop. Then do the same with /Library/Contextual Menu Items.
Log out and back in or restart, if that sorts it start putting items back one at a time until you find the culprit.
As for Quark, you may need to call them to get the second license going.
