Middle Name field in IT0002 for MOLGA 40

Hello,
Is it possible to have the field ''Middle Name'' in IT0002 for MOLGA 40 India. I checked in table T588M screen modifications, there is no middle name field. We would want to maintain Middle Name in IT0002.

1. Make sure you have maintained MOL = 40 for your user ID in SU01 in Parameters tab page.
2. Check feature P0002 using PE03 tcode and find out the VARIABLE KEY(return value) for MOLGA = 40
3. Go to IT 0002 single screen and find out your program name and screen number from SYSTEMS - > STATUS
4. Go to SM30 and view V_T588M and find out the row containing the program name and screen number and VARIABLE KEY.
5. Double click on the row and in unhide the MIDNM field

Middle name field activation in infotype 0002

HI all,
My requirement is to activate middle name field in infotype 0002 screen. Currently in infotype 0002 middle name field is not dsiplayed. The screen number of this list screen is 2000. I checked the infotype screen control in config and found that screen number 2044 has the middle name field. It corresponds to variable key '44'. But currently for country grouping '99', varibale key is set as blank in P0002 feature.
Now my doubt is, should i need to copy the screen number 2044 to another screen number and this new screen number need to be assigned against variable key blank in the feature?
If i copy 2044 to the new screen number, then what abt the settings made in our current screen number 2000.
Can someone help me in how to bring the middle name witout affecting the current setting in infotype 0002?

Some of the fields which are available in screen 2000 are not available in screen 2044. So when i copy 2044 and use, then i will get middle name. But the fields available in 2000 will not be displayed i guess.
Pls tell me how to handle this case.

Persona Data & Family Member Data Country screen with Middle Name for ESS

Is the address field "middle name" not compatible with numbers?

When dragging or importing contact information from mac address book, the "middle name" field does not seem to be included in the mapping list. Any solutions for this? I have lots of contacts with important middle names/initials in my address book.
The Address Book Exporter utiliztiy does not provide for a middle name field either. Help!

Middle Name appearing twice in CRM

Hi everyone,
I created a custom CRM form containing just a "Middle Name" Field. I noticed though in the admin under CRM > Customers that there is a "Middle Name" appearing under "Contact Details" and then a second "Middle Name" that appears further down the page under the "Middle Name" heading which is the custom CRM field.
I understand why the second one is there but I'm wondering how the first one got there. I looked in the web form editor and there is no Middle Name under the default fields.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Nick Name field in IT 2

Hi Guys,
I have the below requirement : If Nick Name field is populated in IT 2 of the employee record the first name should be replaced with "Nick Name" on reports, employee record, etc.
I did not have the middle name field to begin with but i have used an alternative screen (2044) which allows for middle name now - but not sure how to get the Nick name over ride the first name in reports, employee record etc.

Please undesratnd the desciption I have given.
The issue is with FK01, when u create vendor in FK01, If you use a name of 40 char length in the NAME field.
After creating the vendor if you check the vendor in LFA1 table you'll find the name truncated to 35 char length in the NAME1 field.
How can we solve this problem. Is there any BADI/User exit available to fix it.

Adding 'Middle Name' extended attribute to an user

I am very new to SUN IdM. I have a seemingly simple thing to do:
1. Add a middle name attribute to user
2. Make it visible in 'Tabbed User Form' so that it can be set at the time of user creation.
3.Giving option to end-user so that he can change it himself later.
for that I :
1. Added <String>middlename</String> in the XMLs USER_sp_EXTENDED_sp_ATTRIBUTES and USERUICONFIG under configuration folder.
2. Added a middle name field in 'Tabbed User Form' through BPE and set its name property to 'global.middlename'.
Now the middle name field is getting displayed in the 'Tabbed User Form', but the value entered in this field is not getting saved. So when some one again opens the tabbed user form the middle name is showing blank.
Can anyone plz help?

Did you restart the appserver? Changes to UserUIConfig can require this to become effective.

View middle name in contact list, nokia asha 302

Hello everyone.
I have a problem. I have a big contact list and there are contacts with middle names. But I can't understand how can I see contact's middle name in my Nokia Asha 302 contact list.
I saw the same problem here: http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Eseries-and-Communicators/How-to-display-First-Name-Middle-Name-Last... But there's no help answers.
Does anybody know, is it possible to view middle names in contact list? I don't want to edit all middle names by concatinating first and middle name.

On certain devices (especially S40 such as the Nokia Asha 302) the 'Middle Name' Field may not be possible. It may not be available under 'Add Details' too ...

Dynamic Action on IT0002 for France-Molga 06

Hello,
I would like to set up a dynamic action on IT0002 for France (Molga 06) - field State - 'GBDEP'.
The field 'GBDEP' is a mandatory field for France, but the business is not maintaining the record of the Birth State of an employees.
So I would like to set up a dynamic action to create a default value for this field. The default value created is 999 and it will filled while creating IT0002 record for France during Hiring Action.
I am not quite well versed with dynamic action, so i would appreciate a help in how to set up this dynamic action.
I can share if more information is needed.

Preference for not using middle names from address book in emails

I have quite a few contacts that I have their middle names in my address book. When I type their name in a new email, their full name is displayed in the "To" field. I don't want the middle name to show up in my outgoing emails. I also don't want to delete everyones middle name from my address book. Are there any preferences or plugins that allow this behavior?
I also have some contacts that I have nicknames for...the most glaringly obvious being "Mom" and "Dad." I don't want to send an email to my parents with their name in the "To" field. Is there a plugin or a preference for this as well

Sorry, but there's no way to do what you want. The only way to avoid using a middle name in the To: field is for you to delete that from your contact, and from the Previous Recipients list in Mail. The same would be true for those contacts where you have a nickname.
But ultimately, the name use by Mail and Address Book would be determined by the recipient when they send you an email; if they use their full name, that's what Address Book will change it to.

Path and Name field in SPD 2010 Workflow for creating Doc Sets

Hi Guys,
Here's hoping you can help out and give a few pointers. I'm currently trying to implement what I thought was quite a simple workflow involving the creation of a Content Type (similar to Doc Set but with additional field) within an alternative library when
a new item is added to the current library.
Create Item in CaseFileLibrary (Output to Variable: CaseFile)
When running the workflow, I keep getting the following error:
"The workflow could not create the list item because the file name is either missing or invalid. "
It seems to be related to the 'File and Path' field within the 'Create New List Item' field mappings. For this I have tried the CurrentItem:Title as some other forums suggest and have also tried entering the URL path e.g. /subsite_name/library_name/CurrentItem:Title.
(as the name of the CaseFile (Doc Set) is going to be the same as the current item name)
If anyone has any suggestions, I would be truely greatful.

This error indicates there is an error in the workflow logic. Ensure that the file name entered in the Path and Name field is a valid file name. Common reasons for a file name to be invalid include a missing or incorrect file extension or a file/path string
that is too long and exceeds the allowable number of characters.

For the URL that you used in the ‘Create New List Item’, whether the CurrentItem:Title is a lookup, not typed by yourself. If not, please type /subsite_name/library_name/, then lookup CurrentItem:Title, like the below, then save and publish the workflow,
compare the result.
In addition, please use another name for the name, compare the result.

How to hide fields in Infotype 16 for Molga 28

Hi Guys,
I need to hide some fields for IT0016 for Molga 28. Earlier we have assigned different screen for this molga .But now we have assigned the standard screen to IT0016 i.e. View-3211. But when i go to node Change Screen Modifications, i m unable to find MP321100. I have checked through PA30 for chinese employee the Program is MP321100 and screen is 2000.
COuld you guide how to hide some of the fields for Chinese Molga 28 in IT0016.

I havent got the chance to check with BASIS yet....they are lil busy .....meanwhile i have created an entry in t588m with Module pool mp321100 and feature p0016. As u told i have created entry with Molga 28 and return key 28 in P0016 feature.
Could you confirm that i need to Create mP321100 or i could have done it via mp001600 as told by other guy.
And now if i go the fields are hidden except for two fields which strangely are coming "ER Notice Period" and
"EE Notice Period". I have hidden all fields still these two fields are cming any idea why?

How do I get a new value for the service name field and update it in Connection Properties?

I am running Windows Vista. I just upgraded to Firefox 4. When I try to log on to the internet, it tells me the proxy server is refusing connections. A diagnostic reported Error 815 and said the remote server is not responding because there is an invalid value for the "Service Name" field. It said to get a new value and update it in Connection Properties. How do I do this?

When you create a new film script, the first page you see is a title page.
The page after this title page is the one where you generally type in your scenes.
It looks like you are facing some issue and not able to delete any text.
Can you please send me this script so that I can have a better look at your issue?
You can save this script to disk by using option 'File -> Save to disk'. This will create a '.stdoc' file on your system.

File name field not generating dynamic file name for report printing

Hello Folks,
I have a report region on a page and have enabled report printing. I would like to have the file name generated dynamically. So, I add the substitution string, say "&P1_CUSTOMER_NAME." (no quotes). The output file I get is literally named "&P1_CUSTOMER_NAME..pdf" (no quotes).
I have seen several posts suggesting the file name field should accept this syntax but, I cannot get it to work.
We are running Application Express 3.2.0.00.27 and BI Publisher.
Any suggestions?

I was finally able to make it work using a page process and the APEX_UTIL.DOWNLOAD_PRINT_DOCUMENT with a submit button.
