Middle of download

i am trying to download yahoo messenger beta. in the middle of the downloading process the screen suddenly appears gray with a note that i needed to restart my powerbookG4. so i did press the start button since that gray screen freezes everything. then during the restart i get a note that mac osx quit unexpectedly. i dont know what is causing it and how to deal with it since it does'nt only happen when downloading the yahoo messenger but when opening some webarchive as well.it also occurs when saving a webarchive. what will i do to solve this problem?
help me please...

The obvious way to resolve this on a computer would be to uninstall the app, then reinstall it, however on an iOS device that would cause all the data assoicated with the app to be thrown away.
Make sure your iTunes library has the latest updates for all your apps, then backup and restore the device. This should pull back a fresh copy of the app from your iTunes library and then give it the data from your device backup.

Reinstall OS X without erasing the drive
1. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
2. Reinstall Snow Leopard
If the drive is OK then quit DU and return to the installer. Proceed with reinstalling OS X. Note that the Snow Leopard installer will not erase your drive or disturb your files. After installing a fresh copy of OS X the installer will move your Home folder, third-party applications, support items, and network preferences into the newly installed system.
Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

Dear Terence, Thank you for responding to my problem. In no way did I mean to discredit the dedication and work of the volunteers assisting Apple customers and if I did, I apologize. I am just so tired of having to purchase a new computer every other year as so it seems. I know they are not perfected, but it is very frustrating when they just go kaput. I am always the first person to appreciate a kind deed and do appreciate your support and help regarding this unfortunate issue. PC Crash in Middle of Download

In the middle of downloading an album in iTunes, my computer crashed (not iTunes related). Unfortunately, I lost two songs off one of the albums I purchased. I see one of them in the download tab but it cannot continue the download saying something about a network connection problem. The other song I found in my iTunes folder but in some temp directory.
How can I recover these two songs properly?

If you have anti virus software installed, disable that.
Try turning off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security

The installer needn't be on your system. Clikc the file ONCE to highlight it, and press Shift+Delete to permanently delete the file.

Photoshop CS5 Middle Eastern download?

I just upgraded my hardware, and need to reinstall Phtoshop CS5 Middle Eastern version. I have my license number (it's under "my products" on Adobe.com), but I need to download an installer.
Winsoft don't seem to have Adobe products for download anymore.
So any ideas where I can download PS CS5 ME?

I didn't acquire a boxed product, no. It was just a download. I thought
I had backed it up, but although I had backed up the downloads of
Illustrator, DW, and ID, now when it's time to reinstall it looks like I
didn't backup the Photoshop download by mistake.
So there's nowhere official I can download this? You know Photoshop CS5
was only released 2.5 years ago or so. It's not asking much for it to be
supported for 2.5 years!!

ITunes crashed in the middle of downloading newly purchased songs

I confirmed the buying of an album, and it automatically started downloading from my shopping cart. It downloads one song then I get an error saying iTunes has to close sorry for the inconvenience, so it closes. I get back into iTunes and my shopping cart is empty and I only have one song out off my recently purchased album downloaded. Any help?

CS6 Design & Web Premium trial stops in the middle of downloading.

I've tried to download CS6 Design & Web Premium on several occasion over the last four days, and everytime it stops at just over 10% of the download.
I've made sure I have enough disk-space. I run at about 20M download speed. I've tried both wireless and physical connections and get the same result everytime. I seem to have run out of options. Oh - I've also varied the time I start the downloads from morning, afternoon and night. I've tried Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. My laptop (which I've had for over 8 months) runs Windows 7 and until now, I had not come across a download problem.
I'm growing quite frustrated and need to know why I've encountered this problem and how to resolve it.
