Middle of loading conversion data

Users are not able to load forms in EBS environment.
After our investigation we identified that only CONVERSION user is able to login to the application and load forms.
No other user is able to load forms but they are able to login to HTML screens.
Since we are in the middle of loading conversion data into the system we need fast resolution.

Which Patch are you using for EPM add in.
It seems that js:%external%.replace("#","_") does not work with some patches
so in that case you have to use js:%external%.toString().replace("#","_") in your conversion file.

Error 194 while loading Master Data.

Hi,
I've a custom Info Object which has 0MATERIAL as an attribute. While trying to load master data to this custom info object using DBConnect , I'm getting the error:
RSDMD 194
0MATERIAL: Data record 1('0001003') : Version '1009841' is not valid.
I think it's a problem with conversion exit. But I'm not able to solve this problem. It would be of great help if you could guide me on how to overcome this.

I'm thinking for DB Connected datasources we have Propose Tab Page and Fileds Tab Page. In the Propose tab Page you can see data type and Format(internal or External or check). select external, put data type of your Material Infoobject Data type in the Propose Tab Page.

Issue while loading master data from BI to BPC

Dear All,
I am loading master data from BI to BPC using the process chain /CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER. I ran the package and package status was success. But few member ID's which are available in BI are not getting loaded in BPC. Nearly I have 1300 ID's in BI. Out of 1300,only 1270 ID's are loaded in BPC.
I haven't restrict any ID's using conversion file as well.
What could be the reason? How can I overcome this and load all member's ID in BPC?

Whats the write mode you have chosen for the CPMB/IMPORT_IOBJ_MASTER chain ?
Check if you have the Update mode ..

Hi Experts,
I'm having a problem with my data loading from BW, using the standard Load InfoProvider Selections data manager package.
If I run for a period without data it succeeds (with warning) but if there is data to be extracted I get the following error:

model: AIACONS. Package status: ERROR
As it runs ok when there isn't data it appears there is something preventing the movements of data out of the cube itself, rather then a validation issue.
Has anyone encountered similar or have any ideas as to the problem?

Hi Vadim,
It's not specific to the transformation file as I have tried with others for the same BW cube and get the same result.
We get a warning when we try and validate the transformation file:
"Error occurs when loading transaction data from other model".
This only appears in the validation pop up and doesn't throw up any warnings about the transformation file itself. The validation log says:

How to load transaction data

Hi,
Can anyone share how to load transaction data from BI Cube to BPC Cube. How do i map key figures in BI to BPC in NW version. Pls share any document that explains.

For example, I've a BI Actual Cube with two key figures quantity and amount. I would like to copy this data to a BPC cube. Since BPC cube has only signed date (one key figure), how do we transform the data from BI cube to BPC. Can we able to achive this using transformation and conversion file in NW. Is SAP providing standard packages that convert KF's in BI cube to BPC dimension members.
Whats the approach you are doing for the scenarios where you are converting multiple key figures into BPC dimensions. I did not find a good document that explains this process.

Hello Experts, I am trying to validate my transformation file and I can see peculiar behaviour of the transformation file. Even though the transformation file is not complete/ complete with all the mappings, i am getting the same error as above.
I can see options, mapping and conversion sections are validating successfully and throwing the above error.

Error 4 when loading external data

hi all,
I have unchecked uncheck currency conversion for external systems in my info package and then loaded the data from a flat file.
and then i am getting the below errors.
cost -> cannot be converted to currenecy (since cost contains currency item)
netval_inv -> cannot be converted to currenecy (since cost contains currency item)
/bic/zntwthpm -> cannot be converted to currenecy (since cost contains currency item).
if i check the option
currency conversion for external systems in my info package
then i am getting error 4 when loading external data.
Can anyone help me out!!!

Please check whether your file whcih you are loading is open , when you are starting the Infopackage.
Also please check this SAP Note 600246 - RSAR 234: Error 4 when you load external data.

I'm currently working on a Transformation File for loading Transactional Data from BW to BPC but a error message is displayed "Error occurs when loading transaction data from other cube". I have already checked permissions for my user, double checked my transformation file and the dimensions, made all conversion files needed and the message has not changed.
Can anybody help me to solve this problem?!

Hi Liana,
To use that formula, you should use CONVERTAMOUNTWDIM option.
This options default value is Account dimension but if you want to use different dimension, you should use that dimension name. I guess Building A_65432 is not an account member then you should use below option in the transformation file.
CONVERTAMOUNTWDIM = dimension name
This option specifies which dimension to look at for value calculations. You must specify a dimension conversion sheet using the Amount Conversion option. For more information about conversion files, see Data Conversion Maintenance. If there is no formula in the Formula column of the Amount conversion sheet, this parameter has no effect. For example, if the Formula column has the following formula: <value>1.10, all accounts are increased by 10% during the conversion.

1. We have one database (db1) in characterset US7ASCII and does store some special characters like microsoft word's curly quotes etc.(eg abc) and renders and displays them correctly from Web application in the browser.
2. We have another database(db2) in characterset WE8ISO8859P1 character set behaves the same as above.
But the issues faced are as follows -
1. When we try to export the data from db1 (US7ASCII) and imported in db2 (WE8ISO8859P1). It could not convert microsoft word's curly quotes etc.. could not convert correctly and replacing those with upside-down questionmarks.We tried different NLS_LANG options while export/import. But nothing seems to be working.
Question - Not able to understand why the problem for the data conversion when both characterset databases work fine with those special characters, stores them fine.Besides WE8ISO8859P1 is strict superset of US7ASCII.
2. We decided to alter database character set of db1 (US7ASCII) to WE8ISO8859P1 , as we need to store french characters in the future.
WE8ISO8859P1 is strict superset of US7ASCII and both are single bytes, storage 8 bits for 8859P1 and 7 bits for ASCII7.
We ran csscan and found weird report with exception,telling that some of the data would have 'lossy conversion'. To me it seems that data could be those special chars like 'microsoft word's curly quotes etc..'
Questions -
1. Why the 'lossy conversion' ? when target is the superset of current one ?
2. when it says 'lossy conversion' what does it mean ? will the data will be corrupted for those chars (like upside question marks)?
3. How to fix the 'lossy conversion' data before altering the database character set ?
I am very confused with all of the above...Really need help on how to proceed on this.

You appear to have invalid data in the database. Understanding how you can have invalid data in the database, and yet be able to have the applications appear to work, though, is a bit complicated.
When data is being exchanged between the database and the client, there are two character sets to be concerned with-- the database character set and the client character set. If these two character sets are different, Oracle will automatically convert between the two character sets. If the two character sets are identical, however, the data gets passed between client and server is not validated at all-- the server assumes that the client is passing valid data.
The problem comes, however, when the client passes in data which is not valid. If I set the NLS_LANG on my client to specify that I am sending ASCII data, and the database uses the US7ASCII character set, I can send and receive Chinese data without a problem, so long as every application knows the real character set, treats the data appropriately internally, and lies about the true character set of the data when communicating with the database. Obviously, though, you cannot validly store Chinese data-- you've basically turned the VARCHAR2 column into a binary field-- the problem is that the data will be corrupted if the application doesn't know how to decode it properly.
In your case, the US7ASCII character set only encodes the first 128 characters (0-127), which does not include any of the special Microsoft characters. If you were to try to transfer those characters to an ISO 8859-1 database, the character set conversion that would be necessary would fail, so the data would be corrupted.
Fixing the data corruption is relatively simple, provided you've understood the explanation above. You can, for example, write a simple OCI application that selects the columns with the Windows characters and writes them to a file. The client NLS settings would be US7ASCII but the file would, presumably, use the Windows-1252 encoding. Then, you would alter the database character set, corrupting the Windows characters. You could then load the file you created before altering the database character set, assuming you changed the client NLS settings to correctly identify the encoding of the data.
Obviously, you will want to test this extensively before starting on your production database. You'll also probably require downtime to reload the data.

Look up to load master data

I am trying to load master data for my infoobject 0CUSTOMER.This has a field 0DBTYPE whose data is stored in another master data ODS which contains DUNS data.The key 0DBNUM of this ODS is an attribute of 0CUSTOMER.I want to implement the routine in the transfer rules as it is a direct update.So can anyone send me a sample code on how to achieve this and help me out.

I think there is problem with "0MANU_MATNR" Data, check the records 1033 to 1036 and find the differnce between 1035 record and other records, some values is giving problem so by looking at other reocrds i.e 1033,1034,1036. Check in PSA in Monitor.
Note: If any problem with Upper/Lowe case then use TOUPPER in Transfer Rules
If need use Conversion exits in transfer rules.
