Middleware configurations between CRM-ISU

We are in  process of connecting ISU with CRM . Could any one tell the step by step middleware configurations required to integrate CRM-ISU .
Regards,
SAP CRM

Connecting CRM to any R3 (Type) system is similar. You can refer config guide C71 (connectivity)

  • Diff between crm middleware & netweaver xi

    hi
what is the difference between crm middleware and netweaver xi.
why i am asking is both of these are used for communication between two different applications right?
    thanks
    akhil.

    Hi,Akhil,
With the SAP NetWeaver platform, you can align IT with business requirements. SAP combines composition technologies and application functionality to reduce IT complexity and increase business flexibility.
With SAP NetWeaver, you can compose applications using enterprise services, business processes and events, manage enterprise information, and deliver applications and content to users more quickly and cost-effectively.
    http://www.sap.com/platform/netweaver/pdf/BWP_OV_SAP_NetWeaver.pdf
Middleware is connectivity software that consists of a set of enabling services that allow multiple processes running on one or more machines to interact across a network.
By middleware Data from R/3 can be transferred to CRM & also reverse way.

  • Doubt in Middleware configuration setting in transaction code - smoeac

    Hi,
For your information this is a new SRM 7.0 installation and I am connecting to a existing ECC system.
I have performed all the step metioned in SAP Note: 720819 for middleware configuration in SRM system. Bit confused about the setting in Transaction code - SMOEAC. I have done following step in transaction code - SMOEAC.
    1. Created a new site type R/3
    2. I have mentioned RFC connection name (RFC connection from SRM to ECC) in 'Site Attributes'.
    3. System showed correct Logical system name When I clicked on 'Get value' option.
For your kind information, a site type CRM exist in the system without any data in 'Site Attributes'.  We have not define the CRM site. It come while install the new SRM server.
My question, apart from the above setting. do I need to define enter any data for the site type CRM in SMOEAC?
    Thanks in advance,
    Regds,
    Jennifer

  • Need to transfer field KLABC (ABC Classification) between CRM and R/3

    Hello Group,
We plan to make the R/3 field KLABC (ABC Classification) of a customer (R/3 Table KNVV, Attribute KLABC) available in SAP CRM under Customer's sales area data. It should also be maintainable in SAP CRM.
After some analysis we found out, that this field also exists in SAP CRM (Table SMOKNVV, Attribute KLABC) but it is not replicated between CRM and R/3 (and vice versa). Also this field is not displayed in SAP GUI as well as not in the PCUI.
Now we are analyzing the two options:
    1) Make KLABC from table SMOKNVV available in SAP CRM (and PCUI) for maintenance and extend the Middleware to enable the replication of KLABC between CRM and R/3
    2) Extend the customers sales area data in CRM (PCUI) by a new attribute „ZKLABC“ and extend the Middleware to enable replication between R/3 KLABC and the newly created ABC attribute in CRM
    We have the following questions:
    - What would be the better & easier approach ? Any recommendation or comment is highly appreciated.
    - If we choose option 2, to what extend would the SAP CRM Easy Enhancement Workbench (EEWB) support this development (Is it possible to extend the business partners sales area data with EEWB ? Does the EEWB also extend BDocs if you add new fields to Business Partner tables ?)
    Background Information:
We have SAP CRM 4.0 SP8, R/3 4.7 and SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0
    Thanks a lot for help,
    Erik

    Hello Frédéric,
no, I do not have the middleware enhancement guide. Do you have it electronically and could send it to me erikmueller (at) gmx.de ?
In CRM would make the field KLABC from table SMOKNVV available in PCUI? Or would you use the Easy Enhancement Workbench to introduce a new field?
Either way I the middleware would need to be enhanced, but I would like to understand what is easier in CRM to have the field available in PCUI.
    Thanks for the info.
    Regards,
    Erik

  • How does the integration between CRM and SD occur

How does the integration between CRM and SD occur?  Is only via ALE and are there config steps in CRM to ensure the correct data mapping between CRM and SD?
So, if I create an order or quote in CRM how is it then created in SD?  Or do they share the same data store.
    thanks

    Hi John,
Here is good documentation regarding Data Exchange for Sales Transactions: the CRM Enterprise and the ERP System are two different repositories, If you create the Sales Order in CRM then they will be replicated into SD (using CRM Middleware, BDoc's)

  • Configurations for CRM 5.0 mobile

    Hi All
I am trying to install & configure the CRM 5.0 mobile sales.
I have already installed the necessary components like Mob Repository Server, Comm Station and Mobile Client(on a laptop).
I have done necessary configurations in MRS & Comm. Station.
However I am not able to get any document which talks about the configuration activities required on mobile client. Typically I am unaware of any middleware settings required for initial load, sites, replication objects etc.
Is there any comprehensive guide / note which talks about it for CRM 5.0 mobile?

    Hi All,
The major thing is we should not use ISU as stativ and CRM dynalic system. As we all aware When SAP is launching any module or technology its beleives in re-usabilty.
Now the issue data replecation between CRM and ISU-
    1. In a utility market if the customer, retailer and the network operator initiate any business flow they should start with CRM as CRM is handling FOP part.It means CRM has not only build only for ISU.
    2. In ISU before billing so many things is getting triggered - like new connecion,transfer,move-in,move-out etc....these process cant be done with the CRM business module as I mentioned earlier CRM is not only designed for IS-U
So for a smoother process and with proper business SAP introduced CRM IS-U.
Without replacting the data between CRM and IS-U we cant process the steps which will at last billed a customer.

  • Why replicate Master Data between CRM and IS-U?????

    Hello colleagues,
I am at a customer who is already replicating Business Partner and Contract Accounts between CRM 5.0 and IS-U (ECC 6.0).
He is using CRM IC WinClient where most of the processes are implemented as transaction calls in IS-U.
There is a possibility to replicate all objects (Accounts, Connection Objects and Installations) but what is the purpose of doing it.
Could anybody tell me what is the advantage of replicating all objects and having them redundant?
    Why to replicate?
I just found information on how to replicate but not why.
Thank you very much for your help in advance,

  • Fundamental difference between CRM & SD

    Hi,
I am basically a technical guy in SAP. I would like to know the fundamental difference between CRM & SD or SCM & MM or for that matter PLM & PM/QM. Can anybody explain.
    Thanks.

    Hi Harikrishna
Sales & Distribution (SD) basically covers Sales (Enquiry  Quotation  Order) & Post Sales ( Delivery  Picking  Packing  Transportation  Invoicing.) processes
Where as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) covers pre-sales processes. e.g.
How / which are the different ways client is getting in touch with the customers. There may be scenarios where customers on their own contact company ( Field Sales) and company sales representatives contact customers (Customer Interaction Centers & Internet sales). You need to map such processes in system for generating u201Cleadsu201D
Next is what happens after the leads are generated. How these leads are filtered and further converted to opportunities. Whether any sales methodology is followed for tracking the opportunity.
Once the opportunity is matured, if order is created directly or first  enquiry and quotation is required before creating the order.
Similarly what processes are followed for marketing products. How and when marketing plan are created. If there are any marketing campaigns. How are the responses to the campaigns tracked. What types of offers they make to the customers. How do they create target group/segmentation for running these campaigns.
    Similarly for service.
Once you understand this, the process is mapped in CRM .i.e. you will configure the system which will track following
    Planning Campaigns  leads  opportunities  Activities  enquiries  quotations  order  order replicated to R/3  or SD etc.
Please let me know if this explanation answered your questions.
    Regards
    Dinesh

    Hi
Can you please more specific on following points. That will help to give you more input from all SDN users perspective.
    1. What are the scenarios currently been used in CRM?
    2. What are all TRANSACTION TYPES are used in CRM system?
    3. Any development is done in CRM system which is important from BUSINESS PROCESS perspective?
    4. Is there any MASTER DATA used in CRM, which will then replicate to ECC and then used in ECC also?
    5. Are the middleware settings are done in CRM?

    Hi,
for the majority of manufacturing customers doing make-to-order a re-use of their VC models defined in ERP is the better option. The AP Configurator (new name for the SCE part of the IPC) supports 95% of all of the product model as defined in VC. This re-use allows to conitnue to use the same product master data for high-volume make-to-order orders via CRM and at the same time for engineer-to-orders that are changed solely in ERP.
The typical process looks like this:
    - Adjust VC product model to fit AP configurator if necessary (delta-list is described at help.sap.com > ERP > SAP ERP Central Component > Logistics > Variant Configuration > Product Configuration with the Configuration Engine > ERP Master Data and Configuration Engine)
    - Adjust VC product model to fit the needs of the extended user base in CRM if necessary (very often the product model in VC is technical and requires specification of many technical characteristics. To overcome this additional sales- or application-oriented characteristics might need to be added that pre-fill in values for the technical characteristics using constraints or other rules)
    - Create a Knowledgebase and extract the product model into it
    - Set-up CRM Scenario including Middleware replication of product and knowledgebase
    - Set-up JSP UI of the AP Configurator within CRM
    - Create equivalents of user defined functions in Java and make them available to AP Configurator in CRM
For a subset of customers that does not do manufacturing in ERP setting up a product model in CRM is the other possible option available since CRM 4.0. In CRM 2007 this was improved to allow for multi-level configurable products and also provides a maintenance enviroment for product models that integrates well with the rest of master data maintenance in CRM (pricing, catalog, cross-/upsells, bundles). This maintenance environment (some still call it PME) is available in the overview page of a configurable product within the assignement block called "Product Models".

  • Steps involved in setting up communication between CRM and R3 / ECC

    Hi all,
Can you please tell what are the steps involved in setting up communication between CRM and R3 or ECC.
I know that initially logical systems, RFC connections and other technical settings need to be done by Basis consultants.
From a functional consultants viewpoint, what all config settings need to be done so that data transfer between the systems can take place?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
There are a series of steps that are to be done...
These include creating sites and subscription in CRM, setting up filters, and number ranges....
All these are in the connectivity guide C71 and replication guide B09.
Refer C71 first and then B09. These would suffice.
You can get these both in the follwoing reference:
    http://help.sap.com/bp_crmv340/CRM_DE/index.htm
If you dont get, then gimme your email id, i shall forward these docs to you.
Kindly reward with points in case helpful
