Midi and Audio Conflict PLEASE HELP!!! : "Sample Rate 6301 recognized"

I cannot play back any song or project without getting this notification.. Even without using my audio interface (Ensemble) Does anybody know what to do? Thank you in advance!

Movies and Audio Problem - PLEASE HELP!!!!!

If I am working on the music for a movie file i sometimes open a new project with no global tracks, so as i can focus on the music, when i then choose to open the movie and see what the music sounds like with the movie all is fine..... until i stop the movie. If the movie is not playing or doesnt have the volume slider raised high (on the movie window), no sound is heard when i press a key on my midi keyboard. This means i can only come up with ideas when the movie is playing. If i close the movie and/or the global tracks, the problem remains the same. I have to close logic an reopen it in order for me to hear any sounds (audio tracks and midi). Any advice or help would be great as this is really frustrating me. Thanks, Ben

I use Logic Plug ins and Korg/Steinberg plug ins. I have a multi instrument set up in my environment for an external Korg Trinity Keyboard. It is no longer connected as it was too difficult to control program changes etc and recording in audio takes too long for me. This many be the problem??? Maybe i could remove the multi and see if this helps. I am thinking of re-connecting the Korg to my computer but am not sure if it will cause more problems. Any advice? Thanks... Ben

Video and audio problem, please help!

Every time I stream a video or play a DVD, the video and sound freezes for about ten to twelve seconds continously. It is very irritating and rather inconvenient.
Does anyone have any idea why? I just switched to a Mac and am loving it so far. I would hate to have to take my laptop in.

Error while trying to synchronize audio and MIDI. Sample rate 42804 recognized. Check conflict between Garageband and external device.

Sometimes, while playing back my software instrument songs, I get an intermittent pop-up error message, saying "Error while trying to synchronize audio and MIDI. Sample rate 42804 recognized. Check conflict between Garageband and external device."
(Sometimes the five digit number is different, but remains a five-digit number beginning with "4".)
Simultaneously, the song stops until I press the "Okay" button in the pop-up window.
When I continue to play the song, the sound is jerky and clipped, and the playhead doesn't keep up with the song, and then suddenly jumps to the part of the song currently being played.
There's also a sound of static.
The issue seems to occur whether or not I have my MIDI controller turned on and plugged into my desktop Imac.

DVD Audio and Subtitle script Please HELP

I need to write a script that does the following:
1st I have the end user choose if they want subtitles on or off and then both the buttons will default for the user to chose a language choice. So I need a script that will play just audio streams and a script that will play audio with the same language subtitle. Also if the user just pushes the language button I need the script it to default to play just that language...
Here is what I have scripted already please tell me where my mistake is:

Hi There
I think your error is in the first line of your script.
You're using GPRM 0 to set your subtitle condition and when you press enter on your english button your first line says
1. mov GPRM0,2
I'm assuming you want to use this first comand to set your languange condition so you should use GPRM 1 (or more) - at this stage all you're doing is removing the subtitle condition set by your earlier script.

MIDI and Audio problems

1. The MIDI problem............the only way to explain this is by an example. I recorded something from my M-audio axiom keyboard, just something simple like a c major scale. Then i saved it reopened it then i played it back it now is a b major scale. If i open the matrix editor its still C but plays back in B and i must transpose it to make it normal. Never have i had this happen before. Has anyone else had this happen? How can i fix it?
Another MIDI problem is sometimes when i play back a MIDI performance it slows down and sounds like slow motion until it stops and says "sample rate 86672 recognized" i am at a loss on this one.
The Audio problem is simply that i get distortion in my recordings but none of my preamps clip. i can even have the gain half of what i would normally set it at, and it sounds distorted.

Possibilities...
There's a (now common) bug that causes bogus data to appear in the Global Transpose track, all by itself, and if the data that got entered was "transpose -1", then your C-major scale will indeed play back in B. To investigate whether this is the cause, open your Global Track display and see if there's any transpose data written in there. If so, delete it and see if that changes the situation for the better.
Another common thing to happen, that's not a Logic bug, is that pitchbend data might get "stuck" at wheel=down. If Logic isn't set up to reset PB (check your MIDI prefs), then the PB data won't be corrected, and will stay "low" util you reset it manually, i.e., flinging the PB wheel/level to reset it to zero. This is probably the best explanation for why Logic will seem to "repair" itself when you reboot/relaunch, because usually upon reboot/relaunch Logic sends out reset messages for things like PB.
As to the sample rate thing, I take it that you're recording at 96K? Or maybe 88.2? If so, you have a clocking problem somewhere.

Can't recording Midi and Audio at the same time

I'm in GREAT need of help. I can't record midi and audio at the same time. I'm using an M AUDIO project mix I/O. I know this is VERY basic stuff but I can't seem to get it to work.I can record multiple audio at once. ANd I can record midi but not at the same time. PLEASE help . Is there a setting somewhere I need to change ? Thanks

Hi!
Enable all audio tracks (R) you wish to record. Then make sure you select the audio instrument you are using on the left of the arrange page (track list). If you here your input, hold shift, then highlight (gray) the mentioned audio tracks you wish to record on. When R is red, and the proper tracks are grey, you can record. Hope that made sense!

Strange MIDI error message. Please Help

I keep getting a strange message when I load logic: “Logic Pro has detected a possible conflict between one or more third party MIDI or audio drivers. Be sure to install the latest drivers for all audio and MIDI equipment connected to your computer, and remove any older or unused drivers”. After a few attempts to get the message to go away, Logic finally loaded. Does anyone have any idea what this is? I’ve searched the forums and can’t seem to find any info. Thanks.

Did you recently upgrade to Logic Pro 7.2?
If so, then the reason for the error message is that the latest MIDI and audio drivers of your plug-ins need to be updated before you upgrade Logic.
Try this... Under the file menu at the top left corner, go to Logic Pro, then down to preferences, and then Start Logic AU manager. You will then get a dialogue box that asks if it is OK to quit the current program and start the AU manager. Click the start AU manager. A screen then pops up showing all of the plug-ins of your system. Logic scans them to validate them. Those in which there is a problem (crashing, etc), indicates likely that the drivers for those AU units need to be updated.
Once all of them pass validation, then the error message should go away.
This information was gleaned from one of the tutorials that I watched on VTC.com, the Logic Pro section, and on Martin Sitter' tutorials on MacProvideo.com. I highly recommend the tutorials... they are excellent.

Experiencing Delay Between Midi and Audio MOTU 828 Mk1

Hi everyone
Wondering if somebody can point me in the right direction. I'm using an Intel iMac running Leopard 10.5.8 and Logic 8. I just got hold of a MOTU 828 MkI and am experiencing a severe delay between midi and audio.
Clock source is set to internal in the 828 settings and sample rate is set at 44100, so that's all as it should be.
I'm at a loss has anybody got any ideas?

I assume MIDI is earlier than audio.
Do You have plugins in busses and or master outputs?. Try to disable them and see if that still happens.
Here I had issues with 9.01 that aren`t plugin related and had to reboot to solve it. I upgraded to 9.02 and didn`t see them again (yet.)
If you HAVE to have your plugins in the busses and master and still want to have your MIDI properly aligned... Well you´re asking too much, my friend. Write a polite letter to Apple telling them if they´re joking calling Pro to this app that can´t keep two basic features in sync. BTW: same happens with video (at leat in L8. Didn`t check 9 with that yet)
After that, breath deeply and use the input objects to route your midi instruments inside Logic. Then they´ll be in sync, but at the price of loosing all their analog warm. Weird, isn´t it?

Replace mode midi and audio

I hope I'm missing something. when recording midi and audio at the same time, with merge and replace turned on, the midi is ok but the audio is NOT in replace. Is there a way around that. If not does logic have a play what's on top structure like nuendo? I need to emulate a tape machine as closely as possible in this application

i am not sure if this answers this. Your audio is not sounding like a tape machine?
Try inserting an au unit like: Tape delay, Stereo Delay, or Sample delay, which are all within logic.
If you want the full effect place it in the insert. If you want a partial effect send it as a bus.

You could use FND_FLEX_LOADER_APIS.UP_VALUE_SET_VALUE to upload them from staging table (I suppose you mean value set values...).
You can find a sample scripts if you google around.
What do you mean "how to map any API to our staging table" ?
You should do at least the following mapping (which column(s) in the staging table will provide these information):
- the 3 value sets name which you're going to update/upload (I suppose these are existing value sets or which have been already created)
- the value set values and description
Try to start with something and if there is any issues the community could then help... but for the time being with the description of the problem you have provided, that's the best I can do...

I hate to say this, but unless you are paying the 25 bucks you cannot back up your library to the cloud.
All you can do is back up the items you "purchased" from Apple.

How to record midi and audio at the same time?

I have a Roland sh-201 synth and Logic 9. When I use patches from the sh-201, it will record it via audio. What if I wanted to record the audio but also have the midi information as well? How would I be able to accomplish this? My synth is connected via USB which carries both midi and audio. Sorry for my poor english, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Logic will record both audio and MIDI at the same time, but you *MUST* have the Software Instrument/MIDI track selected in the Arrange Track List.
The audio track must be 'Record Ready':

Midi and audio regions are getting moved

Hallo... I am working on my arrangement on Logic Pro 9.1.8. I have many midi regions on a few tracks. I added a few audio tracks and started to slice them and reversed some parts. (I also played with new key commands) Now all the regions on each track (midi and audio) seem to be tied up. When I delete one region all the others (on this track) shift toward its position. Why does it happen?
(Locking SMPTE position partly helps but I would like to have access and be able to edit the regions). Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you've got your drag mode (upper right of arrange) set to one of the shuffle settings.
