Midi data doesn't appear in region after recording on a track

I'm using an Alesis SR-16 to trigger Logic drum samples. All seems well as I record on a software track, as I hear the part I'm playing and actually see midi data being transcribed onto the region in the track. However, after hitting stop, there's no data visible at all in the region. It's just a blank box. If I hit play, I hear the track fine, and if I open the piano roll, the data is all there. This is not a problem with the CAPS keyboard. Any thoughts? Can't figure out why it all works fine except for this strange glitch. I'm on Snow Leopard, ps.

At the bottom lower right of the arrange page are the two zoom sliders... move the horizontal one to the right and the vertical one down until the SR-16 track fills the screen..... nothing?
I have/had (haven't looked lately) an SR16 and ages ago recorded every pattern into Logic. I just remember the notes being very short. That's the only thing I think it could be. As I recall you can open the Piano Roll use Apple/A to select all notes... add length to the notes and then they can be seen in the arrange.
Caps Lock key recording is different than a MIDI input recording from third party hardware... apples and oranges.

My iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes after setting up iCloud syncing

I have an iPhone4 and have updated to ios 5 and have a macbook pro running Lion and have updated that and iTunes. Everything was goig OK but after setting up iCloud syncing I find if I want to sync by usb my iPhone doesn't appear in the devices. Maybe I have done something wrong, but I did usb sync once after all the setting up?

No Audio Appearing In Region When Recording

This is the second project in as many days that this has happened to me. I'm attempting to record a new track in a project (after i've already recorded several others)...and when i press "record", Logic tells me it's recording, but nothing appears in the region. all settings are correct, the track is record-enabled and i just can't figure it out. can you please help me? do i have an incorrect setting? i haven't changed anything about my project since yesterday when i last worked on it.

I've done the same. I have an 8 input Presonus firewire and had a guitar going into input 6. I went to record and nothing ... it was because I set the track to input 1 and had the guitar plugged into input 6! (brain ****!)

Brand new 13" rMBP (mid-2014) doesn't wake from sleep after a few hours

Hi,
I have brand new, mostly untouched, 13" rMBP running Mavericks (10.9.4) that crashes during sleep. If I close the lid and leave it for more than a few hours, I have to do a force shut down by holding the power button for a few seconds and turn it back on again.
I've already followed the advice of this article: OS X: When your Mac doesn't sleep or wake and have called Apple Support, who did nothing but read the article to me.
I have:
- reset the System Management Controller
- restored all defaults in Energy Saver preferences
- booted into Safe Mode to verify disk (unsure of whether or not this was effective at all)
In my Console, I am getting a line that says "com.apple.message.signature: Platform Failure"
According to this other thread - MB can't wake up from sleep anymore - it seems like it might be a hardware failure. Can anyone confirm this and/or advise on possible next steps?

This morning, second day of my blog being up, I wrote a second blog entry and notice that whereas the TITLE shows up, the DATE does not. I see no reason why it should not.
Last night's date and time showed up.

Yes, I edited in the day of the week because in general I like to give total information; it makes it easier on myself.

Bubu, I did as you said and there was indeed a menu pop-up, but there was no such option as "Insert Date and time."
However, that phrase, "Insert Date and Time" rang a 3-note chord, and it made me look at the top horizontal bar. There is an INSERT button. I clicked onto it, and with my date/time text highlighted, I clicked "Insert Date and Time." But before you do that happy chicken dance, let me tell you: Sit down, young man. Because whereas that action did indeed set in the date and time in the format that Mr. Antoine Blog requires, IT STILL DID NOT PUBLISH IN SAFARI. <she shrieked>
I did all of the usual suspect things. Emptied Cache. Left the site and returned. Emptied Cache again about five times. Still, no date and time.

My midi keyboard doesn't appear on my mac

My Midi Keyboard turns on when i connect it to my Macbook but my Macbook doesn't detect the keyboard when am on Garageband, What am i suppose to do?

GarageBand only see a MIDI Device when you OSX system recognizes it.
Open the Audio MIDI Setup utility (found in the /Application/Utilities/ folder). Open the MIDI Window (in the View Menu). If you don't see your MIDI Keyboard there, then you might need to install a proper Driver. Check with the manufacturer of your MIDI keyboard.
I assume that you plugin your Keyboard to the USB port of your MacBook. That's where it gets its power, but that still doesn't mean that it can communicate via MIDI.
I explain all those setup steps and the necessary information to understand all that in my manual "GarageBand X - How it Works"

Fetched data doesn't appear in MCL

Hi all...i've been strugle for this in a few days. i try to fetch data from a database and store it to MCL, it has two column and my problem is only one column is appear in MCL, the concat query won't appear. i try the query in phpmyadmin and it gives me a correct result also in labview when i activate highlight execution i can see the query give #6x2 result thats mean the output is correct. i can't figure out what is the problem???

i've seen this problem, and solved it by using "Database Data To Varian" for each column returned.
In fact, when you cast your 2D data directly to 2D string, some data is lost.
You have to cast each column separatly, regarding to the data they contains.

I am reading with interest the post about quick time.
I have been having terrible crash trouble due to shock wave plug in..
i posted to another forum about this...
however.. in my frustration, i moved a QT plug in, there were two in the drop down menu in safari, i did a search and found the plug and deleted it... and and now get an error message when i click on a web page..
The page.... "Apple-Quick time attempted to load an Internet plug in named Quick time plugin 7.1.1, but the plug-in failed to load successfully".
I tried to put it back from the trash, howver,, I think i put in in the wrong place. Does any one know the file sequence that the plug in should go into?
Also, I checked the unistaller for QT.

My QT version is 7.1.1.. meaning that I cannot do this uninstall and reinstall?

Map data doesn't appear in maps

When I open the maps app, all I get is a blank yellow background..
Everything else seems to be working (ie. Traffic data, directions). All of which aren't very useful without the actual roads!
If I zoom out far enough, I see faint outlines of countries...
This problem extends to other apps that use map data too. In this example, Nike+ running
I've tried killing and restarting the app, rebooting my phone and resetting all my settings but nothing has helped.
Anyone had a similar problem or got any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks

No issues with the current location (blue dot) and pins. No roads, no maps.
I had the problem as described by iammrwong. Unfortunately, my problem persist even after I restore from backup.

MIDI keyboard doesn't appear as input option

I'm a complete newbie with GB and MIDI, so apologies if this is an obvious one...
I have a Panasonic Technics SX-PX552 digital keyboard which I am connecting to my MacBook Pro using Soundtech's Lightsnake MIDI-USB cable (STUSBMIDI10). When connected, GB's preferences will display "1 MIDI input(s) detected". But, when I try to add a new Real Instrument Track, the only option that shows up for input source is the built-in microphone.
Am I missing something obvious? I've searched online for hours and everything I've found indicates I don't need to install any special drivers or anything... Help?

BI Statistics - History Statistics data doesn`t appear

Hi All,
We have upgraded to BI7.0 recently and have installed new Technical content one week back.
Iam able to see all the statisctis information of those Reports that were executed since last week,
But iam unable to view the statistics performance of last month (meaning the history statisctis prior to Upgarde)
1) Able to see the history data in RSDDSTAT table -(which is obsolete in BI7.0)
2) Have activated Virual cube access and performed all installation and process chain load for Technical content

Column link -data doesn't appear in CSV

In a report, I have a few columns and a column link. When I download to a CSV, I get the right data for all the columns, but it shows blank for the column link.
Is there a way to show the values in the column link in CSV?

Thank you for your answer.
But the link text of my column link is based on "#Employee#", which is a combination of emp_lname and emp_fname columns, and has URL Target to another page.
When I click on the employee in the report, it takes me another page, with details of that employee, but when I click on the spreadsheet, it downloads all data shown in the first screen for all the columns except for that column link, which shows blank for all rows.
Would you know where the problem is?

Can I do a keyswitch change after recording on a track?

I am using Peter Siedlackzek's Complete Classical Collection in Logic and are trying out different key switches to get the different sounds from the loaded instruments. At the moment I am looking for a good fast string sound. For this, I record a phrase under 1 key Switch setting in the string sample and then another etc. But is it possible to change from 1 Key switch to another in Logic without recording over and over again that same phrase?

That should do it.
Also, you can just record it with no keyswitch then hit the keyswitches while playing it back to hear which ones you want. You can either edit them in or hit record and play them in (and tweak them once they are in if you need to).
