Midi Delay when Using Rewire?

I am experiencing really bad midi delay when using
LE7.1 & Reason 3.0 in Rewire mode.
Should this be happenening? I take it that I am setup properly for rewire or I would not hear anything at all. I can trigger Reason synths via LE in rewire mode but the delay is so bad that it is unplayable.I thought "latency" issues only occured when using audio. I have tried different buffer sizes to no avail.
Any ideas?

ok I'll answer my own post.
Issue was a toggle box in LE prefs to control "Rewire Behaviour". Set it to "Live mode" not "Playback" mode solves this issue.

  • Delay when using doubletap and hold with bootcamp 5

    Hi,
I just bought a 15" MBPro and discoverd a delay when I use doubletap and hold to scroll or to mark text or drag. Is this a know problem of the bootcamp trackpad driver?
    Hoping for answers
    Bye

I have the same problem, except that I'm using the Apple Trackpad in Windows 8 in Boot Camp on a 2012 iMac, so my guess is that the driver is to blame.

  • Delay when using BC partition in VMware Fusion

    Hi everyone,
I've been wondering about this for months now and finally decided to ask for your experiences.
When using my Windows (XP Pro 32bit) Boot Camp partition as a VM in Fusion I always get a delay when the desktop appears and the taskbar items are loading. I can see that the VM Tools seem to be loading (taskbar icon) while this is happening. This usually takes at least 10-15 seconds on my MBP (C2D with 4 GB RAM) and it has been the same for the last few versions of OS X and Fusion.
Is this delay normal when using the BC partition? It definitely isn't there when booting a regular VM. If so, how long does it take for you?
    Thanks!
    Björn

Nope, KBDMGR.EXE is located in "Program Files" and autostarted via the RUN registry-entry. It's seemingly not even a real driver, but merely a bridging process that administers the drivers.
If you run bootcamped Windows without KBDMGR you cannot use the special function keys (brightness, loudness etc) and at least in Vista you have to do some manual settings every time you start Windows in order make tap-to-click usable without KBDMGR (a better and easier way is to start KBDMGR once and then stop it again if you don't want/need it).
Manually enabling tap-to-click and chosing the Boot-OS is possible without KBDMGR being loaded even once, you can just call the settings application from Windows/System32. The Readme coming with my Script explains how to find that and possibly use a keyboard- or icon-shortcut for that.
Theoretically it can be stopped/killed via Process-Manager and started manually by just calling the exe file. Practically that only works as long as the RUN entry in the registry remains intact and points to an existing file.
Along other things my script explains how to replace KBDMGR.EXE with a dummy file which in turn allows to start Windows without it and later loading it manually if needed (preferably via a keyboard- or icon-shortcut as described in the Readme of my script).
Personally I use Right-ALT+, for opening the Settings and Right-ALT+. for switching KBDMGR on/off (along with switching the F-Keys from Standard to Special functions alongways). Works like a charm.

  • Significant delay when using the "tap to click" trackpad function

(I accidently post this in the wrong forum -- for the old MBP -- so this is a repost)
Hello everyone! I bought a 2.4 Ghz unibody MBP like 3 weeks ago. I had an issue and they replaced the computer with a new one at the store. Today is the first day of using the new laptop. They switched out the ram upgrade and the hard drive.
The issue seems to be that when using the tap to click function on the trackpad, there is a relatively significant delay (at least for a click). With the regular mouse button the delay isn't there. Such as if I'm clicking on the finder or the file tab, there's a bit of a delay before they pop up, compared to instantaniously with the mouse button. When using the trackpad for regular types of tasks, there is a bit of a delay sometimes too. Such as I'll be moving the mouse across the screen and it will stop.
Please help me out. If I could solve it without going back to the Apple store that would be great. Thanks everyone in advance.

Update: I think the 1/2 second delay is too long of an estimate, but the delay is significant enough to make me notice something has to be wrong. My previous MBP had no delay.
When moving the mouse around, I'm not sure if it's a MBP issue, but occasionally the mouse seems to "get stuck" on the screen and I have to begin moving my finger again on the trackpad. This happened on the first MBP too.

  • Delay when using Airport Express

a friend hooked up an airport express yesterday in a place with a few macs - there seems to be about a 2 second delay when clicking on any mp3 song in itunes. Is this normal?
Any way to reduce the delay?

    Thanks snives,
    You're talking about Airtunes right
    Yes, Airtunes.
Try to not let it bother you.
Just can't use it for professional timing needs - so useless for us...
Alternative wireless methods would be to transmit raw audio using another device
    * interesting - what other device are you thinkng of?
or use an audio cable if that's possible in your situation.
already tried that - works fine - but don't want the cable

  • Synaptics touchpad blocked & delay when using the keyboard in Windows 8.1

Sometimes (possibly when I use the keyboard and then quickly attempt to move the mouse arrow on the screen with the Synaptics touchpad), I am unable to move the cursor for a half of second-or-so.
Sometimes I cannot tap to click, maybe, few seconds (it is very annoying).
There are some Mouse and touchpad settings in Windows 8.1 ("To prevent the cursor from accidentally moving while you type, change the delay before clicks work") which I set to "No Delay (always on)" but it does not work, either.
I also checked the following registry key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PrecisionTouchPad
but "AAPThreshold" is set correctly to 0 (No delay).
But I still experiences problems and touchpad does not work while typing and sometimes also few moments after.
Using HP Zbook 14, Win 8.1 x64, Synaptics driver 17.0.18.23.

    Hi,
If you trying connect two Universal apps through Bluetooth, can you check if the
Windows 8.1 Bluetooth RFComm sample runs fine on both the devices? I successfully tested the Windows 8.1 Bluetooth RFComm sample on Laptop (Windows 8.1) and Windows Phone 8.1 (paired).
Make sure the service which you are trying to advertise/listen is supported by both the devices.

  • Loop delay when using two VI's with picture controls simultaneously

    Hey all,
I have observed an odd behavior and I'm not quite sure why it happens. I have two VI's that are mapping GPS coordinates onto XY graphs that are displayed on top of picture controls. When the maps from both of the VI's are visible on screen the loops get delayed by as much as a second, but if you just cover the map portion with another window they go back to looping at twice a second as they should. It took me a little while to figure this part out, let me tell you. There are no computing limitations that should be affecting it since my CPU is only at 10-12% and have 4GB of RAM available. I checked the GPU too just in case and it was sitting at 3% usage, so no hold up there. Anyone have any experience with something like this happening to them? It has me stumped.
I though it might have to do with how LabVIEW handled them, so I went ahead and made them into EXE's and tried it out with the same results.
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions,
    dnorman

Is it possible to run the redraw of the picture tiles in parallel, on multiple cores, if they are going into the same control?
I doubt it. Even if the picture control wasn't pretty old (and it is), I don't know of any mechanism which will give you this level of control.
Here are potential options. I have no idea if they will help:
Instead of building separate commands, process the data in such a way that you have a single raster image (i.e. a 2D array) to place into the control. I believe this should be faster.
Use another type of display (such as a .NET indicator).
Instead of using the XY graph, overlay the data directly onto the image (there should be some graph VIs in the picture palette which might help).
Try defering panel updates before updating all the controls and undefering after. I don't think this will help, but it's probably the easiest change to make.
Try to take over the world!

  • 5 second delay  when using server name instead of ip in JNLP codebase??

    Hello,
can anyone think of why, in my jnlp file when I have codebase="http://www.mysite/..." my rmi app has an additional delay of 5 seconds when making RMI calls? If I replace www.mysite with 64.29.187.xxx (i.e the ip used to access the server form the internet) my app runs flawlessly, no 5 second delay.
    I am using java 6.0.
    Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
    SC

Thanks for the tip Khumar... A few more questions:
    1) Why is it still using the DNS after it's loaded the jnlp. To access my RMI server I'm already using an IP address. In other words, this should resolve during the jnlp loading time. Why is it interfering with normal operations after the app is up?
    2) All the jars have already been loaded. There should be no further need to access a DNS, as there's nothing further to resolve
    3) Is there a way to cache the IP addy that the server name translates to?
    Thanks in advance,
    Sal C

  • When useing Adobe Flash in for example youtube. The player will get more and more delays when using the player tools untill firefox freezes for about 10 sec.

After freezing the player's delay will be reset to 0. I can replicate this "crash" by just moving my mouse on the youtube progress bar and see the delay building up. This only happens when firefox is my main window.

hello, there are some reports by users that comodo products might not work well with the protected mode for firefox that adobe has introduced in its flash plugin since version 11.3.

please make sure that firefox.exe, plugin-container.exe and FlashPlayerPlugin_*.exe aren't blocked or sandboxed in any way by your security software or in case this doesn't work either try switching your AV provider (I'd recommend microsoft's security essentials, it is quite reliable and lightweight) or [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/flash-113-doesnt-load-video-firefox#w_solution-2-downgrade-flash downgrade to flash version 10.3].

  • Startup delay when using production license

    Tangosol,
I have two copies of tangosol.jar. One copy contains our development license file, the other contains our production license file. Otherwise, the two are identical. I have a little test app that simply calls CacheFactory.getReplicatedCache("foo"). When I run against the jar file containing the development license, it takes 3-4 seconds for this call to complete. When I run against the jar containing the production license however, it takes ~32 seconds to complete. In both cases the configuration is identical.
This only happens on the first call-- subsequent calls on the factory method return very quickly.
This is not a show-stopper for us, but I know that it will be noticed. We're running 3.2.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks.
    Pete L.

    Hi Pete,
This is expected behavior - in development mode join timeout is 2 seconds (see http://wiki.tangosol.com/display/COH33UG/multicast-listener join-timeout-milliseconds element) and in production mode it is 30 seconds. This is controlled by tangosol-coherence-override-dev.xml and tangosol-coherence-override-prod.xml inside coherence.jar

  • Commit delay when using alerts

I know that using Headstart it is possible to have the standard FRM messages displaying either in an alert box or in the status bar at the bottom of the screen. I have been involved with two applications that are 100% generated using Headstart and we have chosen to display the messages in an alert box. I have recently discovered that in certain circumstances there is a potentially serious problem with this.
If the user commits a record, an alert box is displayed with the message FRM-40400: Transaction complete. x records applied and
saved. I had always believed that at this stage, the records were safely written to the database but this is not the case. If the user leaves the alert box displayed on screen the records have not been saved. If the database goes down at this point the changes are rolled back and not saved to the database.
I still want to display the majority of the FRM messages in alert boxes. What I want to know is, can I display FRM-40400 in the status bar but every other FRM message in an alert box?

This is news to me too!!!
You can make a small customization to your qmslib50 library to always put FRM-40400 on the message line.
    In package qms$forms_errors, procedure ErrorMessageAlert:
    /* customization */
    if p_errorrec.msg_code = 'FRM-40400'
    then
    p_errorrec.severity := 'M';
    end if;
    /* end customization */
Put this code just before the lines...
    /* Show message */
    IF p_errorrec.severity <> 'M'
    THEN
    Regards,

    Hi,
As far as I know, the Database for the Outlook profile can get corrupted over time and you may try to rebuild it on Outlook 2011 to see the result. See:
