Midi files made in Finale not working

I have 3 files that aren't exporting to Garageband. I drag and drop them as I always do and then it starts the midi window downloading window from Garage Band and then stops.
I am not putting it in the track.
I shortened all the names.
I made the end midi instead of mid.
Again nothing seems to make a difference. It won't take it.
I have never had this trouble but today I can't make it work. I even made the names really short.

I don't have Quick Time Pro. I only have Quick Time player and I can get the player to play the files but I can't export anything. Any other ideas?

I'm having the same issue. After opening Audio Midi Setup in Utilities I noticed that the master volume slider of the Built-In Output is very low. I am not able to slide to get any more level out of the system.

On the MBP, in iTunes, switch to Song view and enable the iCloud Status column by pulling down View > View options and selecting the option for "iCloud Status." Close the small window. Look for any tracks that have a status of "waiting." If you see several of them disable iTunes Match while holding down the Option key. Quit iTunes, wait a few seconds, then open it again and turn iTM back on. Let it compelete the scan. Wait until all tracks that are "waiting" have a status of either "matched" or "uploaded."
On the iPad, turn off iTunes Match then launch the Music app and let the contents clear out. Power cycle the iPad for good measure, then re-enable the service once all the tracks in iTunes have been processed.

File type associations is not working in the App-V 4.6 SP3

Hello,
I found issue, that file type associations is not working in App-V 4.6 SP3. When I try to open associated file with double click I receive next window:
Translate: This action is only valid for products that are currently installed.
I have checked associations in App-V Console and in OSD file, everything looks like OK.
Maybe someone has some ideas?
Could you please share them with me?

Is this only happening on one client machine? If so can you completely clear the application and re-stream\cache it again?
If that fails, you could try to create the FTA locally on the client

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process (Finder) in the Filter text field. Post the messages from the time of the last crash, if any — the text, please, not a screenshot.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into a message.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.

Still in the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports for crash reports related to the process. The report name starts with the name of the crashed process, and ends with ".crash". Are you using the Adjust Date and Time option or the Batch Change option? If it's the former try the latter. If you get the same results launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import the same video file and check to see if the same problem persists.

I added preset motions to my interactive pdf file. It's not working when I export my file as an interactive pdf. It's working when I play it on the Preview panel. I must not be doing something right. Does anybody have any clue what I need to do to have my presets motions work when played on Acrobat

So do you mean export the whole document in a swf file format and then bring the whole swf file in and save it as a pdf file. Is there way to export these motion presets seperately and bring them back into Indesign. I wish it was less difficult but I guess there is no way around it for the time being.

Windows XP file/folder handling does not work? (RSP Rules!)

Sorry if this has been asked many times before, but a forum search on "folder" does not return anything ??? (amazing)
I am trying to make sense out of where and when to use folders and collections and I wish there would be more info in the help/manual.
Lesson learned so far: you can spend an awful lot of time flagging images as rejected and then delete them from a quick collection, only to find out that they are only removed from the (logical) quick collection, not from the (physical) folder on the file system. @!x$
Now, it seams that any folder action does either not work at all or only works partially:
- I cannot import an empty folder, to put images in later
- I cannot drag and drop more than one file at a time to a folder
- When I create a new folder, I never get to see it or name it in Lightroom. It gets created on the file system however, as "new folder (x)".
Why are there no settings under "preference" where to put libraries, back-ups of libraries, which library to use at startup, where and how to create/store previews and their lifetime and so on?
Also, there should be a much more convenient way in the handling of multiple computers and creating/restoring backups!
Reading some of the endless complaints about file corruptions and file losses, I think I will return to RawShooter Premium untill I finally get the feeling that my images and the work on them are safe within Lightroom. RSP is also WAY more snappy and responsive (except for the slide show)!

Jeff: You truly offered some amazing insight here! I really thought that Adobe bought Pixmantec for their technology and for the wizzards that drove that technology. Now you made it clear that all that is limited to "inspiration". Wow! So, why DID Adobe buy Pixmantec? Market share? Take the most brilliant and cheap competitor off the market? Some other reason???
Apart from that: I DO know that writing software is not easy. It must be really unpleasant for the hard working "scary brilliant" experts with a serious track history to hear people complain about issues like file handling on a particular operating system instead of admiring their brilliant ideas and concepts.
Alas, this is life: if you would buy a car you would bring it back to the garage to complain about the lock in the trunk that opens at awkward times leading you to loose your groceries instead of talking to those people about how magnificent that particular car takes you trough corners at 100 mph.
And I still believe that the RSP folks did a better job with their version 1 than Adobe did with LR, knowing that Lightroom is more complicated than RSP and taking into consideration that the Adobe people have a much longer history and experience with Photoshop/Album/Bridge. So I would say Adobe can learn a lot from the RSP boys. Just do it!
Tim: as I'm planning to move from RSP to LR (maybe wait until 1.1), the most important starting information I'm looking for right now is how to set up my filesystem and the LR database for the most efficient way of working and for the "most" data security. Neither the LuLa tutorial nor the help file/manual seem to offer much information on this -I believe extremely important- topic.
All this aside from what seems like Windows file handling bugs to me, hopefully adressed in version 1.1

Help with util.zip up files... does not work

I am writing a program so my mum can zip up new photos she takes and then send them to me. The program creates a html file for the webpage plus a smaller version of her original photo and places them all in a 1 folder with a new name. Al this part works... I want to afterwards place my files in a zipped up folder that she can e-mail me with her normal client. How... I picked up this code on the net and have changed it to incoporate my parameters. The files which are created ..paths are (String in an String[]) I then send to my zipping method.
The zip file is created but does not work when I try to extract from it ??? I also know that the String [] works becuse I have made a loop to check its properties at each index.
what am I doing wrong?

File copy in KM not working from a par file.

Hi Experts,
                  We created a par file which will copy a file from a folder and copy this onto a seperate folder under the same parent folder. This applications works well on testing system, but is not working when deployed to the portal server where it supposed to work.
Please give your thoughts and your valuable suggestions on this issue.

PrevFrame() buttons in a swf file inserted in html not working in Firefox

Hi!
I have a very weird problem.
I have created a photo gallery using AS3 in Flash CS5. I have used prevFrame() and nextFrame() actions for "previous photo" and "next photo" buttons as well as for "previous thumbnails" and "next thumbnails" buttons.
All the buttons work fine when i run the swf files as well as when i run the swf files in Firefox 8.0 and IE9. However, once I insert this swf file into my html file using Dreamweaver CS5->Insert->Media->swf, the "previous" buttons dont work in Firefox 8.0! the previous image button works sometimes whereas the previous thumbnails button does not work at all! They work fine in IE9. The next buttons also work fine in every browser. Heres my code:

Thankyou Ned. The html file published by flash worked perfectly however the problem persisted even if i used this html file's code. But strangely, the problem disappeared after a few days! Now the original dreamweaver code is also working fine.

File upload custom renaming not working with {KT_ext}

Hi,
I used many times custom renaming with file upload, and used {KT_ext} for file's extension, but in first ADDT project is not working. I use this:
$uploadObj->setRenameRule("{GET.id_cd}_{track}.{KT_ext}");
Does anybody know if {KT_ext} is broken in ADDT?

Hi Günter,
{track} and {id_track} are both table fields, and setRenameRule worked right with both, but it didn't with {KT_ext}.
I've changed {track} with {id_track} in first page, and it stills fail to put extension.
But maybe is this, in first page the column for Update Transaction is like this
$upd_cds_peces->addColumn("mp3", "FILE_TYPE", "POST", "mp3");
and in the second page (where it works right) is
$upd_cds_peces->addColumn("mp3", "FILE_TYPE", "FILES", "mp3");
Althought in both cases the file is uploaded and DDBB field is filled, maybe in first case the TNG doesn't expect a file and cannot find its extension.

Google documents - 'select files to upload' does not work with v 3.6.8 Firefox - several users have noticed this.

Until Friday, I could upload documents using google's facility within Firefox . Suddenly, the 'select files to upload' stopped working. Internet Explorer does this ok.
I noticed on the Google forum that several users have reported this and someone suggested it should be reported to Firefox as it works with other browsers. I am using Windows XP on a laptop.
