Midi not reading A SAMSON 61 CARBON MIDI CONTROLLER HEEN HELP

NEED HELP MIDI WILL READ 61 SAMSON MIDI KEYBOARD BUT IT WILL READ THE 49 KEY VERSION

This forum is for Mac hardware made before 1998 and get very little traffic. If you tell us what kind of Mac your midi device is connected to and its Mac OSX version, we can get you moved to a forum where you stand a chance of getting some help in a reasonable time frame.
One bit of advice: people will complain about your typing in ALL CAPS. Turns out it is actually harder to read, and there is an old forum convention that says all caps is the on-line substitute for shouting.
And, as your keyboards are not Apple products, you should be checking with their manufacturer's support resources, here I think:

If the page that you posted from doesn't help then you will need to try contacting iTunes Support (you will probably need to give them images of the front and back of the card, and possibly its receipt) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then iTunes Cards And Codes

when i place any type of CD in my optical drive, after a few seconds the drive ejects. When i place any type of DVD media in the optical drive it reads perfect. any one have a solutions please help..
    G5   Mac OS X (10.4.5)   Dual 2.3 GHz PowerPC G5

Well, I bought a CD/DVD cleaner kit, and nothing happened--it didn't even recognize that the cleaner disc was in there and it didn't do anything.
I checked for an optical drive update, but the only one I found was for older Macs for 4X DVDs, which had nothing to do with CDs. Since even music discs won't mount, nor will discs that mount on every other Mac in the house, Macs both older and newer than my G5 and discs both older and newer, I suspect my drive is toast. Dang.

    Shuffle 1'st generation, 2nd owner
I have the reset utility (which was successful- supposedly) but I still can not put music on the the shuffle. Then I restored but an error message came up - can not be restored (1418) Is the shuffle only aloud to be on one computer?? What do I need to do to fix it... help!

WINAMP 5.32 is the answer. I had the same
problem as you. Yesterday I got a message about the
latetest version of Winamp and it mentioned support
for iPods. I tried it and it works GREAT!! It's MUCH
    FASTER than iTunes as well.
Good luck with that... WinAmp 5.32 has been out for a while and it has its share of problems. A quick search of THEIR support forums for "shuffle" got these results:

  • Midi notes in Flash?

Is it possible to read midi notes in flash from a
    midi-keyboard?
    If so, how?
    // Hexster

Can you guys change the character codes your MIDI keyboards
export? Your midi keyboard has to generate the same binary code
(interrupts) generated by the normal keyboard then and only then
flash can detect them as keystrokes

  • Default MIDI Note Velocity

When I enter MIDI notes in GB the default MIDI velocity is always 63, and there doesn't seem to be any way to set a different default. Although I realize I can change the velocity later, this is kind of annoying given that most of the generators seem to require a velocity of at least 100 to produce a reasonable sound level. Is there any way to specify a different default velocity?

I don't believe there is, 63 seems to be it, no modifier keys or preference setting changes that.
The only suggestion I can offer is that if you're changing the velocity on each note you can save some effort by selecting them all. I found the slider a little wonky, but functional. (it jumped all the way to the top after selecting them all, and labeled that 63, but when I dragged it a little it snapped to 127)

  • Firefox on 2 independant laptops, not reading website source code correctly, when all correct on Chrome and IE.

Rebuilt my website in Serif WebPlus X6.<br />
Using Google Chrome or Internet Explorer the site is displayed correctly as is the source code.<br />
In Firefox 18.0.1 Code is being read wrongly. Cleared Cache and fault still there. Checked in Wifes laptop – still the same fault on her Firefox and okay on Chrome and IE.<br />
Code should read - span class="Body-C-C9">“Why won’t the doctors listen”?<pre><nowiki></span></p>
But firefox is showing - span class="Body-C-C9">“Why won’t the doctors listen”?</span></p></nowiki></pre>
There are further similar faults throughout the website.<br />
Why is Firefox not reading the code correctly?<br />
    Please help.

That is an encoding issue.<br />
It looks that the page is in UTF-8 Unicode and the server sends this page as a Western or Windows encoding.<br />
So you see the Unicode characters as the individual bytes that they consist of.
You can inspect this in Tools > Page Info > General and you can also use the Web Console (Web Developer > Web Console;Ctrl+Shift+K) to check the response header.<br />
If the server sends a content type via the HTTP response headers then Firefox doesn't honor a meta tag in the file or otherwise switch the encoding.

My Equium U400 is not reading or burning discs.
    Can anyoe help please ?

    Hey,
Ok, your notebook isnt able to read or burn disks but what does this mean exactly?
Is your drive listed in device manager?
=> You could try to remove it and restart your notebook.
Do you see yellow exclamation marks in device manager on ODD?
=> Check the Microsoft Knowledge Base. Its known issue.
Do you get an error message if you try bruning a disk?
=> Try another burning program like CD Burner XP
Have you checked the Toshiba website for a firmware update?
    Which OS you are using?
As you can see, a lot of not answered question they would be important to help you.

  • Logic Not Reading/Writing Midi Information Correctly

I am new to Logic and to the world of midi in general -- so please go easy on me. Here is the problem I am having:
I am using an M-Audio Keystation 88 Pro with a Roland EV-5 Expression pedal plugged into the volume control. When I play software based instruments with this set up (such as Garritan's Solo Cello) everything sounds fine. But, when I record the performance in Logic 8 and play it back, it appears that Logic 8 is playing back incorrect Midi info. For instance, if I do a crescendo from 0 to 127 using the expression pedal and record it, Logic plays it back in a way that sounds like it starts out at around 127 and then drops to a lower number and kind of "flutters" back up into the crescendo.
I am not sure what is causing this and any help would be appreciated.

Open the Midi event editor and check the recorded controller events. Probably the EV-5 is transmitting wrong data to the physical Input of Logic.

  • MIDI note input appears 1 octave lower when controller pads are hit

I can't figure this out and I've wasted 5 hours today trying to correct it....
I have recently noticed that midi input from my padKontrol is being transposed down 1 octave (ie I hit an A2, it appears and sounds in my midi applications as A1). This does not occur with midi data that comes direct from my Axiom 61 keyboard; however, it does happen with another device (MV8000) I have that uses the Axiom's Midi IN interface. I hit a pad on the Mv that is assigned to A2, it shows up as A1 in the Logic transport. In Battery it will trigger the cell assigned to A1 instead of A2.
I'm perplexed because it is happening with two different devices on two different interfaces, yet the Axiom doesn't do it on its own ouput, but it does occur on the data received at the midi in on its interface. Doesn't make sense and it occurs both in Logic and Battery. I'm thinking its an AMS/Core Midi issue since hte padKontrol is truly plugnd play (did not have to install drivers), but I dont have clue on how to get AMS to act right. I couldn't find another applicable forum to post this so I am asking here since Logic is the closest subject to my issue.
    Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks for the response. I know the two pieces of hardware that are impacted pretty well and they have no setting to transpose outbound midi notes in realtime. I bellieve I found the problem to actually be software related, In Logic, somehow I had the middle C setting set to C3. When I switched it to Roland C4, which I think is the default, the notes I hit on my controller and the MV appeared in the transport as they were programmed. As far as Battery goes, I think it may default to midlle C at C3 (I'll have to check), but I set it to transpose midi input up 1 octave.

  • MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) will not read an SD card in the SDXC card reader. Does anyone know whats going on?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) will not read an SD card in the SDXC card reader. Does anyone know whats going on?

Hi David.  I don't have as modern a Macbook Pro as you, mine is a 2012 model, but perhaps I can help.  I often find that my SD card will not load when I first insert it.  I have to remove it and then put it into the slot again firmly.
You also haven't posted any information about the SD card.  What size is it, do you know how it is formatted, has it worked in that same mac previously, where did it come from, does it currently work in another device (such as your camera)?  This sort of information will help to narrow down the problem.
If you post some more information I'm sure people will try to help you.  In the meantime, if you look at your post again you should see "More Like This" at the bottom of the page and you may find an answer in some of those related posts.
    Hope that helps.

  • Locking midi controller expression data to midi note data.  How to do it?

I am recording some sax and trumpet lines into Logic using Samplemodeling software (The Trumpet, The Sax Brothers). The data goes into Logic on a midi channel.
At the same time as playing the notes, I am using an expression pedal to control different aspects of the sound (cc64, but it could be set to anything midi controller number, as long as I also set it in the Samplemodeling software and make sure that Logic receives and Samplemodeling sends on the same midi channel).
The midi note data and midi data record properly. However, I am having a problem with editing. If I move the note in time (i.e. shift it left or right in piano roll), the cc64 data does not move with it. I can see the data, and of course, could cut and paste it or hyper draw it, but that would be very time consuming. Is there a way to lock the expression data to the note data so that when you move the note the midi controller data moves as well. I assume the same question would apply to pitch/volume/pan or any other controller, but I have not tried that.
Alternately, is there another way to record the data, so it is locked to the midi notes?
    Many thanks
    Steven
If it is relevant, I am using:
    Logic 9 Studio
    Mac 2.93 Dual Quad
    Novation Keyboard

Well, I routed around in the manual and finally found the answer. There is a pull down menu which allows you to choose to tie together the non-note midi data to the note data.
"Turn on the Functions > Include Non-Note MIDI Events setting to tie other data (such as pitch-bend, modulation, aftertouch, or poly pressure) in a region to the region’s notes."
    Problem solved.
