Midi problems: I can't hit the same note rapidly, unlesss the sample has finished.

Hi, I'd appreciate any help on this.
I'm trying to record midi drums into Logic Pro via a Yamaha DD-55 and a USB to midi cable. However, I cannot hit any note more than once, I can, for example play a snare, hi-hat, kick, hi-hat no problem, but if I tried to hit a double kick I would have no joy. I have to wait a second or two for the first kick sample to run out.
I am using a Mac Book Pro 17", mid 2009 model running Lion 10.7.3.
Logic Pro 9
Yamaha DD-55 Digital percussion
USB to Midi in/out cable
I've updated the Yamaha midi drivers. Followed several on-line 'set-up midi' tutorials but with the same issue, the sound comes through but I cannot play more than one of the same note in quick succesion.
Your help and/or advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi there, yes I set local control to 'off', it seems I have to do this every time I turn on the DD-55, which is not a problem. I've set each pad to an individual channel on he unit, and matched here channels in the software synth in Logic, just got this issue with the pads not letting me play them more than once without hitting another pad first or waiting for the sample to end.
Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Don't know if this went through the first time. Cannon printer would not print black. bought a new Epson-800. Same problem. Can it be something in my Mac causing the problem. It's only the black that is not working.

That's exactly what I want. I have a personal user and a business user on my MacBook Pro. I want both users to have the same contacts so if I add a contact while I'm logged into my personal user, it will show up when I'm logged into my business user. I want both contacts books to be exactly the same; like you said. So, I used my business user AppleID when I enabled iCloud for my personal user and I enabled iCloud for my business user with that Apple ID as well. For my personal user, I selected Contacts and Calendars to sync with iCloud. For my business user, I selected everything to sync with iCloud. The problem is... it didn't change anything. I restarted my computer to see if that would do anything but nothing happened. I'm not super savvy with Apple products, so maybe I'm completely confused.

Hi there. I'm having the same problem: my iPad won't import some photos from a folder, saying that they can't be read. They are all JPEGS and some photos taken at the same time have synched fine, but out of a folder with 200 photos, it only lets me synch 37. I'm synching albums created via Photoshop Elements 6, which has worked fine until now.
I've tried deleting all photos and re-synching, and have also deleted the iPod Photo Cache, but it hasn't made a difference.
The iPad auto-updated to the latest version of iTunes, so maybe that's what's causing it?

Can you log on to the email account via webmail in a web browser, view the email and delete it from there if necessary.

HT3819 Home Share issue: I have a Mac and Apple TV. Both are log into the same Wifi network and the same iTunes account (I can view purchased movies on AppleTV). Home Sharing shows 'ON' for both devices. BUT...AppleTV shows no computers. Itunes sidebar-no

Has anyone else found solution to Apple devices not 'seeing' each other on Home Share? I have a Macbook Air (new Nov'12) and Apple TV (new Dec'12). Software updated on both. Both are logged into the same Wifi network and the same iTunes account (I can view movies purchased from iTunes on my AppleTV). Home Sharing shows 'ON' for both devices. BUT...AppleTV shows no computers... and ... Itunes sidebar does not have a 'Shared' area at all. Help please as without this functionality, my Apple TV only provides portal to purchased (i.e. Netflix,...) content which I can get from Wii or Xbox.
I have already tried the following without success:
1. Homeshare DID work the first day after I setup Apple TV... but the next day it has not worked since then.
2. Powered off 30 sec then re-started (Apple TV & Macbook & iTunes login)
3. Checked Firewall settings per Home Sharing troubleshooting guide (correct settings)
4. Turning on Photostream in iPhoto and selecting iPhoto within iTunes and then checking to see if Photostream shows anything on AppleTV (it shows 'on' for my iTunes account but 'Zero' pictures found ... despite the >3,000 pictures showing avail in iTunes).
I also have 'Remote" app on my iPhone 4, with Home Sharing turned on (same Wifi network)... it has a very similar message as the Apple TV and same result that despite all devices having HomeShare 'on' they cannot see each other: "Remote will automatically find the iTunes libraries and Apple TVs that have Home Sharing turned on using the account xxxx (it lists my correct itunes account name)."

I solved this by reset of the Wifi (unplug cable and power to both modem and wifi ... wait 60 sec ... plug in modem cable and power ... plug in wifi power and LAN to modem ... restart AppleTV and Mac ... Turn Home Share 'OFF' in iTunes then back "ON" ... it took ~60 sec for the AppleTV to pick up my Mac in computers.

On the iPhone tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Contacts off then back on then reset the device.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
