MIDI to Mp3 converter?

I can not find an MIDI to MP3 converter that works for the Mac OS X! I have googled a million different things, and none of them work. I tried ilovemp3 and it keeps saying page not found every time I try to download it. Please tell me a FREE program I could use! Thanks!

I realize this post in a few months old, but for future reference you can convert a MIDI to Mp3 (or AAC) using the method below.
1. Add the midi files to iTunes.
2. Set the importing preferences to MP3 and configure bit rate etc.
3. Select all of the midi files and choose "Convert to MP3" from the Advanced menu. (or right client and the option is there).

You could be right and you can give it a try but it does say this on the Audacity site:

Sorry, Audacity cannot play, edit, or convert MIDI files. It can only display them visually (for comparison with recorded sounds). We might add MIDI editing to a future version of Audacity, but for now Audacity is focused on sampled audio (like WAV files).

I want to convert a midi-file into mp3.
I found the function "convert to mp3", iTunes, however, does not accept the midi-file.

Can't convert MIDI to mp3 after update to iTunes 6.0.2

Hi,
I had no troubles in the past converting Midi to mp3 in iTunes, but after updating to 6.0.2 I get an "unknown error" (-50) when trying to do so. This occurs on both machines, my iBook (OS 10.3.9) and my iMac (10.4.4). Can anyone help me?

I have exactly the same experience. Similar setup to yours. This is obviously a bug. All we can do is report it to Apple Bug Reporting:

There may be a way to convert the files that doesn't use iTunes, so if anybody knows about it please tell us!

Hi Illaass, Oh yes for days and I even called and email some asking this question and no one I could find did all three so I only have to buy one program. The one I was going to download because it did two of them I read the reviews and 2 people said that a hacker was attached to the download and they changed all his search features amoung other things. So I got out of there and that was the end of that. That's why I decided to try this in case someone knows the answer. Thanks for responding though. Sandi

I keep getting a "missing plugin" for midi and mp3 files I want to listen to online. These are Hymn files. And I get a message telling me I have a missing plugin. Any ideas?

My husband used to be able to convert ABC files to MIDI files . This allows sheet music to be played on the computer so as to learn a tune. We get the Missing Plug in message.
I downloaded the Quicktime 7. I open Quick time, Still get the message. What is the solution?

Need a midi-to-usb converter

So...I'm trying to figure out which midi-to-usb converter would work best to connect my Suzuki KM-88 keyboard to my MacBook so I can record with GarageBand. Any ideas on what would work the best? I would appreciate it!

Wma to mp3 converter

I downloaded a conversion program "wma to mp3 converter" to be able to listen to wma music files in my computer. However when I click on the file, just the programmers' codes appear, nothing else. How can I activate the converter program? That is, how can I see the converter's window so that I can drag my wma files into it for conversion into mp3 format? Thanks

There are so many WAV to MP3 converter software on the market. I tried some of them and was not very happy with them. Will anybody kindly recommend a high end wav to MP3 converter software that they have had a good experience with. I need this software to convert WAV speech recording into MP3 in batch processing. I should say that I am doing this on the iPhone4 and not a laptop.

I believe that there is an app called MxTube that lets you download high quality youtube videos to your iPhone

FMS2: FLV2 to MP3 converter

Word on the net is that Adobe Labs is releasing a FLV2 to MP3
converter. I have heard this for a month now. Anyone has an idea
when its being released? We have a burning project and really
convert those FLV's to MP3's so they can be downloaded by the user
(we record audio with FMS2). Do you have another solution for the
convertion? I have been looking all over the Net and this issue is
driving me mad, especially since our client is sitting on our back.

Just because there are sites that suppor the functionality
doesn't mean there's a publicly available solution.
I would guess (and I"m just guessing here) that if the sites
you mentioned are using FCS/FMS to handle the recording, they have
also made their own deals with Nellymoser for the codec and
developed their own server application to handle the conversion.
Perhaps you might try contacting them to see if they'll give you
some insight as to how it was achieved.
If you do get in touch with them, you might ask them what the
magic word is to get the Nellymoser people to answer an
email.

Ion Tape-to-MP3 Converter/Player
