Have you tried changing Midori's useragent? If you open Preferences, I think its under Network.

  • [SOLVED] USB mount weird problem.

    So, I have this weird problem - udev automounting does not allow normal user to write to usb device.
    /etc/fstab:
    /dev/sdc1 /media/usbhd-sdc1 vfat users,exec,dev,suid 0 1
    /etc/rules.d/10-my-udev.rules:
    KERNEL!="sd[a-z][0-9]", GOTO="mnt_auto_mount_end"
    ACTION=="add", RUN+="/bin/mkdir /media/usbhd-%k", RUN+="/bin/mount /dev/%k"
    ACTION=="remove", RUN+="/bin/umount -l /media/usbhd-%k", RUN+="/bin/rmdir /media/usbhd-%k"
    LABEL="mnt_auto_mount_end"
    When I manually do:
    $ mount /dev/sdxy
    it works nicely, but when i do it with 'sudo' it's the same as udev. So I guess that's something with udev. Can any1 help me?

    What filesystem is on your flash drive?  If it's FAT, there's no concept of ownership, so linux will just make the user running mount own everything, hence permissions problems when root mounts it.  I believe RUN+="/bin/mount -o uid=<your uid>,gid=<your gid> /dev/%k" or RUN+="/bin/mount -o umask=000 /dev/%k" will make it writeable by you and the world, respectively.  If the second solution is too insecure but you need multiple users to be able to access mounted flash drives, check out HAL.

  • Weird problem P965 Platinum (Solved)

    This is my first post, so helo to everybody.
    I bought a P965 Platinum board a week ago. Yesterday I decided to update to v1.1 bios which I downloaded from the Global Site (latest version). Since then I have a very weird problem. My keyboard does not work unless it goes into Windows. I tried 2 different PS2 and another 2 USB keyboards but the problem is the same. Before then everything was OK (e.g. I entered numerous times into the bios in order to manage to install the XP SP2 onto a raid0 configuration!). Any suggestions (except from just wait for a new bios release)?
    P.S. I searched for similar topics before I post but found nothing similar. Thanks in advance
    My config:
    C2D E6600
    MSI P965 Platinum
    ATI X1900XT
    2*512MB Corsair 800
    2*Raptors 36GB Raid0
    2*320GB WD-KS
    1*DVD, 1*DVDRW...

    I had the exact same problem with my keyboards / P965 Platinum, although mine started when I used partition magic to resize my windows partition.
    No keyboards (usb or ps/2, didn't matter) would activate until halfway through the windows load screen, making it impossible to change boot order, get into bios, etc.
    Was seriously a very scary problem.
    Did exactly as BOSSKILLER suggested.  Updated bios to latest version 1.4 within windows using live update.  Turned off machine.  Unplugged power cord.  Cleared CMOS.  Booted, (keyboard worked! :D) got into bios, loaded defaults.  Rebooted into bios, reset all of my settings and presto!  Perfect again.
    Thank you guys so much.  This helped immensely.  I was not looking forward to taking apart my new machine to send in the motherboard for service at all.

    dunno where did you saw that, but i never suggest using LiveUpdate to update BIOS.

  • Weird problem when executing an update statement

    Please help me out with this issue. This a very weird problem i'm facing while executing the following update statement.
    update tblo.S_TABLE c
    SET (ACCNT_NAME, ACCNT_LOC)
    =
    (select NAME, LOC from S_TABLE1 p
    where p.ROW_ID = c.ACCNT_ID)
    where ROW_ID = 'XXXXX'
    The statement executes perfectly fine in "SQL Plus" but when i try from my application or any SQL Tool that uses ODBC, it fails with the following error
    <eb1>ORA-00923: FROM keyword not found where expected
    State:S1000,Native:923,Origin:[Oracle][ODBC][Ora]</eb1>
    ODBC Driver Used: 9.2.0.2.0

    Yes this could most probably be resolved by upgrading the driver. I'hv tried MS Oracle ODBC driver but that is even more problematic!
    The applications works fine in another environment which uses a Merant ODBC driver. Thanks for your time and advice.

  • Weird problems with CSS being applied to JSF pages

    I have this really weird problem with my CSS rules being applied to my JSF pages. My CSS rules don't get applied unless one of the following two things happen:
    - A page is reloaded (by redirecting to itself, or if there were validation errors)
    - The previous page in the history had the same relative reference to the same CSS file.
    If a page is newly loaded, and the previous page did not have that same CSS reference, the CSS styles will not show up. Also, if the above is true, and the page is reloaded by JSF, the CSS styles show up.
    Now, my problem could be solved if I put all JSP files in the same level, but the display of the first page would still be without the CSS style applied.
    Is this known behaviour? And if it is, does it have anything to do do with the way JSF handles URLs (always one level back)? Help and input is kindly appreciated!

    I tried the same
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="<h:outputText value="#{facesContext.externalContext.requestContextPath}"/pages/css/default.css" />

  • Weird problems with 2007 15" MBP after installing new HD, any solution?

    Folks-
    For a couple of months my machine has been really weird.
    (1) Safari will not work. Firefox does, other internet apps do, but no Safari.
    (2) everything is ever slower. Spinning beachballs constantly.
    (3) won't remember home wifi network. It remembers the pw, but must select the network
    (4) won't sleep when scheduled, only when closed or immediately commanded to sleep.
    I would say that these weird problems surfaced after I installed a new optical drive, after I upgraded to 10.7, etc, except that the main problems are absent when I start up from the old HD externally mounted (the refusal to sleep when scheduled is also present statring from the old HD).
    This could indicate some wierd driver thing with the new drive, or a system software event I didn't notice or one of these "malware" things, right? Maybe?
    Any ideas for how to troubleshoot this would just rock.
    Thanks!

    Since you have your old hard drive here's a suggestion:
    Step One: Boot from the external drive.  Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager appears.  Select the icon for the external drive then click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Step Two: New Hard Drive Preparation
    1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
    2. After DU loads select your new internal hard drive (entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID  then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
    Step Three: Clone the old drive to the new drive
    1. Open Disk Utility from the Utilities folder.
    2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
    3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
    4. Check the box labeled Erase destination.
    5. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.
    6. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to the Source entry field.
    7. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
    Destination means the new internal drive. Source means the old external drive.
    Step Four: Open the Startup Disk preferences and select the new internal volume.  Click on the Restart button.  You should boot from the new drive.  Eject the external drive and disconnect it from the computer.

    Ok. Thanks for your help, but removing that package was not the solution because I hadn't installed it. The only reference I had about that package was
    5:13# locate linux-uvc-svn                                                                                                               ~koven

    /var/lib/pacman/local/linux-uvc-svn-238-1/files

    So I decided to remove this folder and my problem was solved. Anyway I did some searches and nothing was found.

  • StarForce GF FX 5700: weird problem

    Since I bought this  geforce I used the 52.14 drivers from MSI. After having troubla with a game, I had to update my drivers. After installing the 56.72 ForceWare-drivres from nVidia, I had a  quite weird problem.
    After booting my PC, I started Battlefield Vietnam, and got this: The menu
    in-game (normally it's even worse)
    I tried a few other games, but they all had the same problem.
    I rebooted, restarted BF:V and everything was normal again.
    But, with those newer drivers, I had the same thing every day. If I worked in Windows too long, I had to reboot before I could play my games (descent).
    A few weeks later someone told me that the weird colors where caused by overheats.
    Down-clocking (starting from the standards, I never over-clocked the card) didn't solve my problem. Then I realized that everything worked perfect with the 52.14-drivers. I re-installed the drivers from the disc (52.14), and yes, my problem didn't exist any longer.
    The problem is gone (by using the 52.14), but I can't update my drivers, which is necessary to play certain games, without having to reboot to play.

    i put a post up about my problem with my fx5700 and bf1942 earlier, but no one has responded as of yet.  the 1st screen that was posted (all red) thats EXACTLY how my screen looks.  i've tried the drivers that came with the card (dont remember the version off the top of my head) and the latest drivers both showing the red screen.  did anyone come up with a resolution for this situation?

  • Simple compare condition fails [Solved: Bug 4619731]

    Edit: I have found the root of the problem, and Simple compare condition fails [Solved: Bug 4619731]. I have opened a Service Request 7045745.993 on the problem.
    Original text:
    I have encountered the most bizarre bug today. An associate is trying to debug a 1900 line package that was NOT terminating a loop properly.
    The package has the code:
        Exit when x <> y;where x and y are VARCHAR2(8) variables.
    The problem is that even though the values were UNequal, the loop never ended. We added dbms_output debugging code to display x and y, and we could easily see that their values were NOT equal.
    For instance, one was 19824E1A and the other was 19824E2A. Or one was 19824E1A while the other was 99999999.
    I even added a block of code re-testing the condition like this:
      If x <> y then
        dbms_output.put_line(x||'<>'||y);
      Else
        dbms_output.put_line(x||'='||y);
      End if;But no matter what the values of x and y, it always reported them equal.
    I found two workarounds:
    1. concatenate a character (I used a period) to the end of each variable in the condition.
        Exit when x||'.' <> y||'.'2. Or, add an anonymous block before or after the Exit when..., such as:
    Declare
      v varchar2(2);
    Begin
      v := 'AB';
    End;Curiously, when I replaced the v := 'AB'; with NULL;, the bug came back.
    This bug occurs on Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.3.0
    I am not sure where to start to try to solve or report this problem. It pretty much destabilizes the entire PL/SQL programming foundation for all our packages. It leaves me wondering where else the code may be failing.
    Has anyone seen something like this reported before?
    Edited by: Steve Cosner on Aug 27, 2008 10:05 PM

    No offense taken, SY. I was just trying to express how aware I am of the issue of comparing null values in condition statements.
    All I can do here is underscore that it is not an issue with null values. The problem is with the statement in the first line. To prove that it was not null values, I coded the second line following the first:
        exit when x <> y;
        dbms_output.put_line('x='||x ||' and y='||y);The output from the run showed in the first pass through the loop, x and y were equal and were not null. So the process ran correctly that time. But in subsequent passes through the loop, they were NOT equal and were not null, but the debugging code was executed.
    There is no way the values were null.
    I certainly wondered about the null issue when I concatenated a character to the variables in the conditional test. But my debugging lines first confirmed that they were not null. I suspect more that the bug has something to do with the size of the package and the variables being exactly eight characters, which is 64 bits, which has special significance in many computer languages.
    Regarding your concern of the variable names and scope issues, the actual variable names in the actual code can be seen below (I just used x and y for simplicity within this thread):
        LOOP
          EXIT WHEN V_LAST_PERIOD <>
              SIPK0003.COURSE_ADJUST_REC.ACAD_REC_PERIODwhile the silly anonymous block that caused the process to work, using the variable named v, was the actual code. There is no way we use simple one-character variable names in a 1900 line package. There is no way the scope of variable V extended outside the embedded anonymous block. My point was that somehow, changing the size of the compiled package object, or at least the size of the code generated for the loop process caused the package to run correctly. In fact, thinking about the
    Declare V... Begin Null; End; sequence, I'll bet the PL/SQL compiler is sharp enough to notice that it was a do-nothing block, so never included it in the compiled object. As soon as I assigned V a value, the code WAS included, so the size of the generated code for the loop changed, and somehow, that caused it to run correctly.
    Regarding the use of the package.record.column value above, we even copied the value to a local variable, and then used the local variable in the Exit When statement. Doing that made no difference.

  • Weird problem in terminal (xfce)

    Like the title says I have a weird problem with Terminal (terminal 0.4.6-1 (xfce4)). The problem is that after scrolling, after maybe between 0.5 to 1 seconds the text scrolls a bit more as if I turned the scroll wheel one more notch, which I haven't.
    I have only noticed this today after updating to the latest kernel and Xorg and from pacman's logs terminal was updated yesterday (I did update not long before turning my computer off so I might have missed the problem then). Downgrading to terminal 0.4.5-2 seems to solve the problem for now.
    The same problem does not happen in xterm or urxvt or any other programs that I've tried but I'd like to have some confirmation that at least someone else can replicate this before filling a bug report.
    I can add that starting xev from terminal will show that in fact there is some key even being received, however if xev is started from xterm I do not see any problems.

    It's very likely that this is ATI related indeed.
    I've had console-lag issues with ATI cards before and I still have them now and then, especially with a rotated monitor, but never this one. Radeon driver for me as well with KMS enabled. RS880 (HD 4250)
    ~/.Xdefaults appears to be irrelevant.

  • Weird Problem in QM stock posting from Quality Stock to Unrestricted

    Hi all,
    Today I hit a weird problem in SAP and struck there for the past 5 hours. The problem is,
    I have a batch managed material, for which QM view is available. 01 inspection type is activated along with the "Post to Inspection Stock indicator" for that material in material master.
    Now I am creating a Purchase order and doing a goods receipt in MIGO. Then it creates a inspection lot of type 01
    for this material and puts the stock in to Quality stock (I checked in MMBE).
    Now as per standard SAP behaviour, if I want to move the stock from Quality to Unrestricted, I can only do it in QA11 trasaction through Inspection stock tab. If I try to do 321 (Quality to Unrestricted) movement in MIGO, the system will send an error message "Change the inspection stock of material XXXXXXX in QM only"
    But in my case, I am not getting this error message, the system is still allowing me to move the stock from Quality to Unrestricted thorugh MIGO using 321 movement. This is not standard and I don't want this.
    This behavior is seen in 04 and 08 inspection lots also (with post to insp stock indicator).
    The aftermath of this problem, if I do a MIGO transfer posting of say 100 PC through 321. The system is correspondingly updating the MMBE transaction by moving this 100 PC from Quality stock to Unrestricted. But if I go to QA11 and check, the QM still shows that 100 PC to be in Quality stock itself, thus creating a mis-match between actual stock situation and the stock situation in QM.
    I already checked and most of the SPRO nodes and I am left clueless. One more thing, Usage Decision is not yet done for the inspection lot and it is just REL status. Also thee are no developments or enhancements in QM module in my project. Only 1 enhancement relating to custom sample label and rest of all the functionality is standard.
    Sorry for the long post. How to correct this? Please help me!
    Thanks in advance,
    Vinodh

    I don't know why this happenned.  Look at the QM view of the material master and see if the "inspection setup" flag on the QM view is clicked on.  That is usually greyed out and is set by having an inspection type activated.  You can't manually set that once an inspection type is added.  But that is the indicator I believe is used to determine if regular stock movements are allowed for QM stocks.
    I would try to first clear all your inspection lots first.
    Then delete all the inspection types from the material.  And I mean actually go in and delete them.
    Then use QA08 to reactivate the ones you need.
    Then see if this solves the problem.

  • Weird Problem in LiveCycle

    Hello All ,
    I am facing a weird problem in LiveCycle.In a form I did some script changes , saved it , and tested the form,it was ok. But After closing the form if I again reopens the form to do some script changes I am not able to find the script in any of the events. But then I tested the form , it worked perfectly. But if it's working then where are the scripts ?Has anybody faced this problem before ?
    Thanks,
    Bibhu.

    That's odd. We've identified a bug in 9.0, which causes LC Designer to arbitrarily wipe scripts. It usually happens after a few hours of intensive form constructing. A restart of LC Designer solves the problem temporarily. Other than that the bug is really hard to reproduce. We've discovered that if you launch Acrobat Pro before LC Designer (so that PDF Previews are viewed in Pro instead of Reader), the bug goes away.
    A guess would be that it is related to the way Designer rewrites the xdp (xml) tree, mixing nodes together. At least it's a viable conclusion considering Designer deletes the wrong node when deleting meta data (Form Properties->Variables->Minus symbol). There are also occasions on which, if you change the script of default buttons (the ones having tags like <?templateDesigner isPrintObject true?>), Designer wipes the entire script.

  • Connecting through firewall (weird problem)

    Hello,
    I'm having a very weird problem with JMX on a Linux server. I'm aware of the fact that the out-of-the-box JMX agent doesn't work with firewalls and I'm using a custom agent or rather I'm trying to. The problem is that JConsole/Custom Client fails to connect to the agent with a NoSuchObjectException.
    The Server side code looks as follows
    public class TestServer {
    public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
    System.setProperty("java.rmi.server.randomIDs", "true");
    LocateRegistry.createRegistry(15003);
    MBeanServer mbs = ManagementFactory.getPlatformMBeanServer();
    JMXServiceURL serviceUrl = new JMXServiceURL(
    "service:jmx:rmi://localhost:15002/jndi/rmi://localhost:15003/jmxrmi");
    JMXConnectorServer connectorServer = JMXConnectorServerFactory
    .newJMXConnectorServer(serviceUrl, null, mbs);
    connectorServer.start();
    Thread.sleep(Integer.MAX_VALUE);
    The Client side code looks as following
    public class TestClient {
    public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
    JMXServiceURL u = new JMXServiceURL(
    "service:jmx:rmi:///jndi/rmi://ec2-67-202-2-113.z-2.compute-1.amazonaws.com:15002/jmxrmi");
    JMXConnector c = JMXConnectorFactory.connect(u);
    The Exception I'm getting is
    Exception in thread "main" java.io.IOException: Failed to retrieve RMIServer stub: javax.naming.CommunicationException [Root exception is java.rmi.NoSuchObjectException: no such object in table]
         at javax.management.remote.rmi.RMIConnector.connect(Unknown Source)
         at javax.management.remote.JMXConnectorFactory.connect(Unknown Source)
         at javax.management.remote.JMXConnectorFactory.connect(Unknown Source)
         at foo.bar.TestClient.main(TestClient.java:12)
    The Java version on the Server is
    java version "1.6.0_02"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_02-b05)
    Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0_02-b05, mixed mode, sharing)

    You were right. There was one more thing though which I figured out with Wireshark/Ethereal. The machines in Amazon's EC2 Network are running behind a NAT or something and I had to specify the external address with -Djava.rmi.server.hostname=BlaBlub.
