Mifi 2200...Weak signal(not internet) for connecting my wireless devices.

Right now If i set this thing on top of my pc or ps3 it will detect the devices but if I move 5 feet away it looses signal. New to this wireless internet stuff and I'm not really digging the mifi 2200 at all. Is there a device I could buy that would give out a stronger signal then mifi 2200 or a device I could connect to the mifi 2200 that would do the job it's supposed to?

Okay, specify 5' away.  Is it actually that distance and if so, are there any other wireless radio signals bouncing around that may be concentrated in that particular area.  i.e. leapfrog, baby monitors, cordless phones, etc.
Have you fully charged the device?  What computer Operating system do you have? How many devices are connected to the WIFI signal?  Is your PC a laptop or desktop?
The reason I ask is that the MIFI normally has a wide range of broadcast for it's signal and if there are no other possible causes for the signal interruption, you may need to seek replacement.
Also, log into the web interface for the device while you have it in the optimal connection area then move it and check the status on the device for any type of changes in the administration software.  I also need to ask if you are disconnected from the USB cord.  Should be, but gotta ask.

  • P6 user name is not valid for connecting to the reporting database

No data is available because your P6 user name is not valid for connecting to the reporting database
I am getting above error in the following environment:
P6 running on wls instance 1.
BI Publisger running on wls instance 2
    MS SQL server 2005
Note that the error appears when I clink on the 'Reports' tab in P6. My admin user on P6 has access to report/analyser modules.
To connect P6 to BI Publisher I am using 'PxRptUser' in the P6 configuration for Bi Publisher. I know as well that the WSDL URL is correct and I can test this in SoapUI tool.
In BI publisher I have created the PMDB data source using PxRprUser, and the test of this connection works.
(Because the report samples come with Oracle flavoured SQL that SQL server does not like, I have configured BI Publisher so I have just a single report left that sources it data from an xml file. This works in BI Publisher. It also helps me in that I do not need to add 'WHERE' clauses and parameters required for SQL server?)
Furthermore, using a DB tool, I can connect to my SQL server using PxRPTUser.
So why do I get the error above?
I picked up somewhere that I should not be adding users to BI Publisher. Funny enough, testing the 'login' method the BI Publisher exposes through its WSDL (as above) I noticed I HAD to create the user PxRptUser in BI publisher application itself (on top of PxRptUser in database) for the login web service to work with PxRptUser
That did not solve the connection between P6 and BI Publisher though. What am I missing ...

Thought I found something but can't repliacte, som issue is still there:
Had a look at the wls instance logs where BI publisher is running, and the error I get is:
    111111_023646955][][ERROR] javax.naming.NamingException: Unresolved naming: cn=admin, dc=user, dc=users, dc=principals at [cn=admin]
That user, admin, is the one I have used to access P6. Why is this passed on to BI Publisher? I thought the idea was that the PxRptUser set in BI Publisher configurations in P6 would be used?

    Hello Bhagyeshree
Check out the articles below to troubleshoot issues with connecting to Wi-Fi. Start with creating a new Network Location and then search for a Wi-Fi network and if that does not work, then go through second article to troubleshoot the issue further.

my ipad is not charging while connected to any device via usb cable

If you mean that you've connected it to a computer's USB port then a lot of computers don't provide enough power to their USB ports to charge the iPad at a sufficient rate - it may still be charging slowly, and should be a bit quicker if the iPad's screen is off (if you leave it for a while and then disconnect it from your computer you may find that it's battery percentage has gone up). The wall charger is usually the most efficient way to charge the iPad.

  • T500 Weak signal showing in access connections.

Hello all; I have a T500 2081-CTO Win 7 Pro & I have online access with Verizon DSL through a Netgear wireless router. Recently, the 5-bar yellow/green icon for the Access Connections on the task bar (which normally shows 5 green bars anywhere when laptop is inside my home) has been showing a 2 or 3 yellow bar weak signal for my connection to my wireless router, even if I bring my laptops very close to the router. I have tried to correct this to no avail by updating several items including the BIOS and Access Connections software. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this issue.

Try inSSIDer; it provides quite detailed information.

  • Devices unable to connect to internet, although connected to wireless

I have a new iPad2 and a Kindle fire that I am trying to connect to my home's wi-fi.  They seem to connect to the wireless network, but they are not able to connect to the internet.  I have tried Apple and Kindle forums and they all suggest rebooting the router, changing various settings on the router, and I believe I tried them all.  I have 2 laptops connected to the wi-fi with no issues at all.  Any suggestions?  I find it odd that both devices are having issue so assume it has something to do with my router.  Thanks!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I got it to work!  Here is what I did, posting because I have seen so many others with the same issue..  Many of the suggestions were right on, I was just not sure how to completely change the router.  So, from my Wireless Broadband Router Manager go to Wireless settings.
Basic Security Settings - choose Advanced (WPA/WPA2, 802.1x)
Then go to Advanced Security Settings - choose WPA/WPA2
This will open another page where you create a new encryption key for your wireless.
I stopped at the ADVANCED security section because it messaged that changes should only be made here by an advanced  technical user.  I did not really fit that so was nervous to modify the settings.  That was where it was all hiding though.
Thanks again to all of you for your help.

  • Not able to connect to wireless network by Time Capsule

Since yesterday (also updated time capsule firmware) I have reset my time capsule several times and re-setup my wireless (through time capsule). Wireless is visable in Airport configuration, but can not connect (either time out or keeps asking password). Ethernet through capsule to internet works OK, but wireless not. Ipad keeps asking me to connect to my own network; after inputting password no connection possible).

Hello tfh12. Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
There is always a possibility that something may go awry when updating firmware. I would suggest at this point of reinstalling the earlier version to see if this resolves the problem.
If it does, you can always attempt to upgrade again.
To manually download and install previous (earlier) versions of firmware...
    o Open AirPort Utility.
o From AirPort Utility menu, hold the Option key and choose Check for Updates....
o Select (place a check mark beside) the version you require.
    o Click Download.
o Select your base station then choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu.
o From the Base Station menu choose Upload Firmware....
o Select a firmware version and click OK.

  • E3200 - USB port does NOT work for more than one device

We needed a new router that had the dual band connectivity as our previous router stopped working properly when we started using a baby monitor operating on the same 2.4 GHz. The choice was between E3200 and E2500. We chose the E3200 mainly because it also offered a USB port. We were hoping to use that to connect our printer and two external drives (thus bypassing our old desktop that's been working as a server). However, it turns out that the USB port on E3200 does NOT support USB hubs! So, you can ONLY use ONE device - either a printer or one external storage drive. That wasn't really clear at all from the description. I feel like we wasted the extra $50 hoping to get functionality that just isn't there. Can't believe that in this day and age, Cisco thinks we all have only ONE USB device we might want to connect to the network! The router itself is fast enough, but the extra $50 for a USB port that doesn't do much and some speedboost phantom ability is just not worth it.

Just to save time to you all, after numerous attempts to install a USB hub to my E3200,
I wrote to Cisco Customer Service (live chat) and I specifically requested how to set up the usb hub or the virtual USB port and they said that they do not have a software to install a USB hub.
    Hope this help

  • How do I setup my MacBook Pro (2009) as a wireless access point for all my wireless device to access the Internet using a USB wireless adapter?

I connect to the Internet with a USB Super Antenna from CCrane.
I want to establish a network on my Mac to allow my other wireless devices to use the USB connection at the USB.
    Any ideas?

Yes, that would work, however it would cost me $2000 for the monitors.

  • Our ISP changed the way we access the internet. Since then, wireless devices such as iPhone, iPad and iPod won't connect to the wireless and hold on to it. Devices get on, but then drop the network and can't get back on. Then it will appear, magically.

Our devices keep getting dropped off the wi-fi. The computer and lap top are fine, but the iPad, iPhone, and iPod all keep losing access to the network. We have tried:
Resetting the D-link, restoring Airport Extreme to its factory settings, resetting netowrk settings, powering down devices, turning wi-fi on and off. It has been pretty frustrating to say the least. This all started after our ISP changed our... I am not sure what it is called, but the thing stuck on the house outside to broadcast across the valley to the mountain where we get our internet.... Any other fixes?

I guess the issue is the Airport Extreme. We put back our old D-link and everyone is on. The Extreme did not live up to my hopes - (guest network, limit wi-fi for my children's devices to a certain time period...) And, it didn't last long - I think it is only a year old, if that. I have restored it to factory settings but to no avail.... perhaps it was a dud. Is anyone else actually able to limit access? I set it up but it quit working over and over and the kids were on whenever. Then we started losing all the devices in the last few weeks - laptop fine for wi-fi, iPad, iPod, iPhone all randomly kicked off and let back on.
This is a great idea - and it would be worth replacing if I knew my new on would work. Thanks for replying lllaass!

  • LMS 4.2 is not releasing SSH connections of the devices

    Hello!
We have LMS opens SSH sessions to Nexus 5000 devices as part of some jobs.
These SSH connections are not being released by LMS as soon as jobs are completed, which leads the N5K devices to hang without any way of managing them remotely.
We see these connections as idle on the nexus devices (which also should kill these sessions, but this is not the issue).
We have found a known bug:
    CSCty90928
LMS Pari jobs are not releasing SSH,telnet connections of the devices
    Symptom:
Telnet/SSH connections are not released by LMS
    Conditions:
Pari collections jobs are not releasing the connections after the Job completed
    Workaround:
    None
This bug is categorized as "2 – severe" and is in "Open (Postponed)" status.
I have a few questions, if anyone can assist:
1.) What is the ETA to fix this bug?
2.) Are there any other known bugs matching what we see (documented public bugs, with bug ID's, internal bugs or even undocumented bugs).
3.) Is there any released or unreleased (even yet to be tested by TAC) patch we can use that should fix the issue?
4.) Is there any way to adjust LMS idle timeout of SSH/Telnet sessions (I couldn't find it in the GUI, but maybe there is a way to change this parameter using a perl script or modifying one of LMS properties files)?
    Thanking in advance, Udi Dahan.

    Hello Ehud
From N5k side we have submitted bug CSCty00044
Currently there is no fix for it and our debelopment team is catively working on it and investigating the issue in the lab.
To get ETA for the release I would suggest you reach your account team and check with them how fast fixed release will be available.

    Hello SDN,
I am doing a R3XI Proxy (BW) scenario, i am following the how to gyide " push data into BW" The guide tells about an RFC-enabled function module which will be used to
perform the inbound processing of data like --Name: /BI0/QI6ASENDXMLDATATOBW_RFC
What i beleive is that i need to create a data source as per my data structure and reflect in RSA7, but i am not able to get this RFC, where can i get the RFC which is send to send data To BW.
Anyone who has send proxies to BW please throw some light on this.
    Regards,
