Might Mouse Wireless ??

Well for those of you that are always on the latest news, ive got a question.
When are they gonna stinking come out with a wireless mighty mouse? i love the mouse but just cant go from wireless to wired.
also you guys have any suggestions for multibutton wireless? i had a kensington "for mac" studio pro but just didnt live up to my apple blue tooth.

Second button on a wireless mightly mouse

I just got a wireless mighty mouse. Despite everything, I cannot get the right click to engage. It's done it like twice, but not come back. I've tried setting it to multiple functions and that doesn't matter. I think it is just the mechanics of the click. Anyone have advice. I'm frustrated since everything else I've ever bought from apple just works out of the box.

We have two BT MMs at home, one with the problem, one without. Returning the one that was having right-click problems to our local Apple Store and swapping it for a new one fixed the issues I was having (without needing any software uninstalls / reinstalls, which is what makes me think it's a hardware issue affecting some subset of the mice).

Bluetooth Might Mouse Weight?

I'm sorry if this has been discussed, but a quick search didn't come up with anything.
I'm considering selling me Might Mouse (Apple is sending me a brand new one to replace a broken one) and get the Bluetooth Mighty Mouse, but my concern is its weight.
I owned the Wireless Mouse and wasn't very happy how heavy it was. When the Might Mouse came out I was thrilled it was so light and the cord isn't that big of a deal. What I would like is a light Mighty Mouse with the laser tracking, wireless is a bonus to me.
How heavy is the Bluetooth Might Mouse compared to the MM or the original Wireless Mouse?

Since the Mighty Mouse ships with Lithium batteries, the weight is less then if you were to use the mouse with regular alkaline batteries. If you hold two alkalines in one hand, and two lithiums in the other, you can tell the difference.

Does IceMat work with Mighty Mouse Wireless?

I am looking for the perfect mousepad. I am tired of the tiny and flimsy mousepads that move all over the place.
After looking around I found the IceMat. It looks pretty nice and seems like it might be a very good mousepad (It better for $30+).
Has anyone used the IceMat with the Mighty Mouse (Wireless)? If so, how was it? Has anyone used the IceMat at all? What do you think?
Any other suggestions for the perfect mousepad?

I used IceMat before and I won't suggest it for any mouse from apple.
If you really want a nice mousepad, go for FUNC1030. I am using it
with apple mighty mouse and they work pretty well together.

The reason I don't suggest IceMat is that if you read the description from its website carefully, you should notice it's made of glass. It will kill your mouse very fast. That's why they also sell Icemat Padsurfers to protect your mouse. However, none of them work with mighty mouse. Also, for a mousepad which has a hard material surface, you need to clean it very often. At least once a week or might be more often.

Mighty Mouse Wireless disconnect

Hi, i've a Mac Mini Intel with a Mighty Mouse Wireless.
After the lastest OSX upgrade, 10.4.8, i notify that my mouse randomly disconnect for a while (2/3 sec), than reconnect.
I decided to try to reinstall Osx from my dvd, and i saw that using mouse without drivers and OSX 10.4.5 there are no disconnection problem.
I tried with bootcamp in windows too and there is no problem.
Then i upgraded my system to 10.4.8 and installed mouse drivers, after this the mouse started to disconnect randomly.

However when I disconnect the external display and start using the laptop like normal...
Do you shut down or at least put the Mac to sleep before unplugging the display? All of Apple's Knowledge Base articles include closing the MacBook (or PowerBook or MacBook Pro) to put it to sleep before plugging or un-plugging an external display.

Might mouse scroll ball issue

I got my Might Mouse just about a year ago. I'm having issues with the scroll ball. It works scrolling up with no problem, but scrolling down it does not work. To be clear, it can scroll but it doesn't make the page on Safari scroll down with it.
Anyone else have this issue? Any way to clean it?

Bluetooth Might Mouse Problems

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but:
My bluetooth might mouse stops working after about 5 minutes of use. The arrow moves, but it's impossible to click on anything. Sometimes the arrow grabs a window, and it's impossible to let go of it.
If I turn the mouse off, then back on, it works fine, but this is really annoying!

I am running into the same problem. I have yet to figure out a fix except turn the mouse on and off. Lately (as of yesterday) the mouse won't wake my machine up from sleep. When I press a key on the laptop's keyboard, it wakes up with a message that the connection to the mouse was lost.

Tecra A3 - Creative Mouse Wireless does not work

My Creative Mouse Wireless does not work while touchpad is installed.
Even if I disable the Touchpad, the mouse seal does not work.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

On this way it is not easy to say what the problem is. I assume that you got some installations software for your external device. Install it and it should works.
As far as I know functionality of external mouse doesn`t depend on touchpad settings.

Cleaning Dirty Might Mouse?

The vertical scroll isn't working on my might mouse, i suspect its dirty, but it usually acts up with not scrolling up but now its not scrolling down.
any tips on cleaning it?

I don't think the dark surface fixed the scrollball, but was perhaps a delayed result of your other attempts.
I don't particularly like the idea of blindly digging around inside an electronic device with a sewing needle! I'm sorry, but I wouldn't recommend that method to anyone.
The MM reacts differently to each different person. Some of us sweat more than others, some of us produce more body oils than others. This is what probably builds up and effects the scrollball. When I sense the scrollball not responding accurately I just turn it upside down and roll it a bit briskly on my jeans and that seems to do the trick.

My Might Mouse is spazzing out!

Hi! We got a Mighty Mouse with our iMac (flat screen) about a year and a half ago. Several months ago, the mouse started causing weird problems. For instance, when there is more than one window open, the windows just start voluntarily deciding to jump to the front. Or sometimes all of the windows will sort of fade to the background so that I can see them all, but none of them are front and center. It's so aggravating! I'll try to shut one of the windows, and just as I get the cursor to the little red dot, the windows decide to switch. Occasionally this has happened when I'm not even touching the mouse.
So, anyway, we pulled out an old mouse (not Mighty Mouse) and used that for several months. Well, we finally decided to replace it with a new Mighty Mouse, and as soon as we plugged it in, it started doing that spazzing out thing again! It never did it with the old, non-Mighty Mouse mouse. So, does anyone know what the problem is? Is it a problem with Mighty Mouses, or am I doing something wrong with the Might Mouse? Has anyone else run into this problem? I'd appreciate any and all suggestions. I still have the receipt and I can return it, but I don't want to buy another Mighty Mouse if there is a problem with all of them. TIA

Since I don't have a Mighty Mouse with my Macs,
the disadvantage in my reply is not being able to
try this out ahead of time to see if I can duplicate.
This original 'flat panel' forum, is about iMac G4s.
Yours must be a newer Intel iMac. But the control
panel should be similar enough to check this out.
With the Mighty Mouse, do you see any different
control panels to make settings in the Sys Pref
under either the Keyboard & Mouse, or another?
How are the settings under Universal Access
when the Mighty Mouse is attached? You may
have options there which are affecting this item
when it is attached; and not a regular mouse.
Mouse (and trackpad in portables) offer settings.
These in Universal Access can affect actions.
Also, an older Mighty Mouse may have other
issues after some time - a required cleaning.

Might Mouse Side Buttons stiff

As the topic suggests, I really have to SQUEEZE my might mouse to trigger the side buttons. Is this normal? I don't think a child would be capable of clicking them, that's how hard mine is?

Mine are the same....I'm hoping they'll loosen up over time!
