Mighty Mouse wont work after last update

I have just updated the last mac update (Quicktime and Frontrow and iTunes).
After rebooting, it couldn't find my mighty mouse (wireless). So I switched the mouse off and on again and then it found it but the connection lost again from the mourse at that exact moment.
This has happened 3 times now, every time i reboot to see if I can catch the problem.
So I cant use teh mouse to get into the Operating System.
The bluetooth has completely wiped it out I think.
What can I do?
How can I uninstall last update or reinstall last update?
How can I access the mouse and Bluetooth functions?
Appreciate the help,
JH

I've had problems since the last update as well. Namely, seemingly not connected to any specific program, the finder toolbar options simply disappear. Or, the keyboard (bluetooth) and mouse (wacom USB) stop working. When I try to force quit programs, the FQ window pops up but lists no programs even though there are several open. I have to manually shutdown my computer by holding the power button. This happens at least once a day. Very frustrating. My machine operated flawlessly prior to this update.
I don't expect an answer from this forum (PRAM PRAM PRAM - that never, ever works, and it's the first thing any seasoned Mac user tries). But hopefully Apple reads this?? We need a new update to fix this obnoxious problem...

my satellite pro c850 cd wont work after bios update from toshiba.
    what do i do?

Saying: dont work you mean it does not power up or what do you mean exactly?
Did you flash the BIOS properly?
Possibly something went wrong during the update and this means that ROM module isnt flashed properly
In most cases a special BIOS crisis disk would be needed to get it working
Not quite sure if you can get it fixed by your own

  • Ipad apps wont work after downloading update 5.1.1

My I pad apps wont work after I downloaded OS update 5.1.1
I have tried restoring, but it doesn't solve the problem.

    Hi
I had the same problem since I updated, the iPad shows "No Sim" I have taken it out, put it back in after cleaning it! All the usual possible solutions that everyone else has tried? So I have not been able to connect for over a week now and I intended to pop into the Apple geek guys to let them have a look, but was scared that they might suggest it would have to be sent away!!! What would I do?. So last night I was fiddling around with the IPad and thought I would try something, AND GUESS WHAT! It works!!!!
This is what I had done
    1. Take the SIM out of the IPad
    2. Leaving the SIM out, turn the Ipad off using the Home and power button at the same time, do this 4 times
    3. Now insert the SIM back in it then found my SIM
I cannot confirm the is the ultimate cure, but it worked for me and I have tried all the other possible solutions, it's worth a try?

  • HTML animation effects doesn't work after last update

After last update my html animation that have different effects with different time: fade, translate, rotation, scale, ecc... plays but some effects doesn't play.
Various animated png in html project appears immediatly without shows transitions or deformations.
I have made html animation with Motion Composer that have time curve for each effect.. and all work fine with previous dps desktop tools...
I don't use Hedge because folios with hedge animation is mooooooooore large than folios with motion composer animation.
A single complex animation (10 .png(1024x768) with multipe effects fo each) made with composer produce a 1MB folio...
The same animation made with Hedge produce more the 100MB folio.
why new version of dps don't show my html anim correctly ? I hope adobe correct this proble.

We just released an update to the DPS tools that addresses the issues around HTML/iFrame and buttons in release 25. You can download the updated components by following the links at http://www.adobe.com/go/learn_dps_install_en.

  • Bluetooth Mouse stops working after software updates

    Hello,
I've been using a Bluetooth mouse with my X220 Tablet for several months now. After fiddling with device manager to ensure that the Thinkpad Bluetooth device does not have the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" setting set, things were working perfectly.
However, after running through some windows & Lenovo updates, the mouse now seems to work for a while, but after any idle time, the mouse stops working. Turning the mouse off & back on seems to cause it to reconnect, and it works until the next time it goes idle for 2 minutes.
I've gone through device manager, and made sure both the Bluetooth & USB Root devices are set not to power down (per http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/X-Series-ThinkPad-Laptops/Bluetooth-mouse-stops-working-from-time-to-tim... ), but still no luck.
The software updates applied from the Lenovo System Update tool were:
    ThinkPad Power Management Driver: 1.67.04.05
    ThinkPad Power Manager: 6.64.4
    Lenovo Solution Center: 2.4.002
    Intel G1/G2 Display Driver: 9.17.10.3347
Also, some windows updates  which don't seem related (mostly security), but I can lookup the list of KB numbers if helpful.
Are there any known issues with the power manager updates that might affect this? If so, what's the best way to revert to the last working version?
    Thanks!

Try doing a PRAM reset and see if that helps, also put in new batteries as that may make a difference.

  • Adobe Application Manager CC not working after last update

Last night I avrived home and sat down to work on my website and other side projects after a long day at work.  I opened my application manager and it notified me that it had an update.  So naturally I agreed and was excited to see the new upgrade.  Sadly after a couple hours of trying to figure things out on to why I wasn't able to access my Adobe Muse and Adobe Application manager after the update I had to give up.   I was online with tech support about the issue and was given a link to download the application manager yet again (this would have been my 3rd attempt to do so, and the link that was given to me was outdated).  After finding out that this was going to take longer than I had hoped asked if the teck support could help me resolve the Muse issue.  I was told that I'd be transfered to the Muse support and never was after an hour or so.
I'm now still stuck not being able to use muse (after a couple re-installs) and not able to use my application manager.
Currently when I lunch my application manager my backgound decktop goes black and the application manager pops up and is white with no options to choose and shows nothing.  When I try to use Muse  it askes me to log in, and then gives me an error message asking me to please try again later....
Can anyone help, has anyone had this issue before??

Could you please follow this step and let me know if it helps.

  • HT204291 AirPlay Mirroring doesn't work after last update

I have a late 2011 Macbook Pro (running mountain lion), an iPhone 4s, and an Apple TV (3d gen). My iPhone and Apple TV work fine together. I can stream video and music without difficulty. My Macbook can stream audio, but since the last update to 5.1.1 I can't mirror my desktop or run video from my Macbook to the Apple TV. The option is there, but the TV screen only changes colors and garbles some text. It mostly looks like a pink and green abstract painting.
Short of restoring the Apple TV, is there anything else I can do?

Thanks Brian. I tried using the ethernet cord and it still only works for one account on my macbook - the account that's not signed into the Apple TV.
Wifi versus ethernet doesn't explain why it worked well before the update, but not afterward. Or why it works when I turn off photostream.

I hope someone out here can help me as I'm having a similar problem upgrading to 13.1.2.  I posted this under the wrong section about a week ago, so I'm reposting my issues here for convenience.  I'm a Creative Cloud user.  I have been using the 64-bit version of Photoshop 13.0.x on my system successfully for several months now.  I have Windows 7, 3rd gen (Ivy Bridge) core i7 processor, 32GB of RAM, a 1TB Hard Drive, and am using an NVIDIA GeForce 670 video card.... so my system has plenty of processing power.  Several nights ago, my Adobe application manager pops up on start up (as normal whenever there's app updates to be done) and says there's an update available for Photoshop (version 13.1.2, I think.. or something close to it, anyway) and Bridge.  So, as normal, I apply the updates... Everything completely successfully according to the Applicatino Manager.  However, when I try to start photoshop after the update, I get this window that pops up immediately upon double-clicking the Photoshop 64-bit icon on my desktop: "Adobe Photoshop cannot run on this computer because this version of Photoshop requires Windows 7 or later."  All I can do is "X" out the box to make it go away, so I did.  Weird because obviously I have Windows 7 and all of my other software works great on my system, and I have Lightroom 4.3, other Adobe stuff, Serif software, ACDSee, etc... and I get no problems out of ANY of them running on my officially licensed version of Windows 7.  So just for the heck of it, I uninstalled Photoshop completely and then reinstalled it using the Adobe Application Manager.  It installs version 13.0, which then allows me to open and use Photoshop as normal.  I proceed to "check for updates" from within the program, and it takes me to 13.0.2 I believe.  I can use Photoshop as normal after that.   Here's what I think is funny... I can check for updates to my heart's content after updating to 13.0.x.  The program thinks there's no updates available after 13.0.x.  The only way my system knows there's a later version out there is if I power down my system and restart it.  Then and only then will Adobe Application Manager come up and tell me there's an update available (13.1.2) which, if I chooose to install (and I did), takes me back to the error that I mentioned earlier: "Adobe Photoshop cannot run on this computer becuse this version of Photoshop requires Windows 7 or later".  Soooo with all of this said... DOES ANYONE know how the updated version of Photoshop (13.1.2) for Creative Cloud Subscribers checks to see if it's running on a Windows 7 system?  For whatever reason, it doesn't think I have Windows 7 after updating to it, and I'm stuck!  I know if I contact Adobe Support, they're going to want to uninstall ALL of my Adobe software of which I have alot, and then reinstall everything... and quite frankly, I think all that is a bunch of crap!  It's plain and simple... Photoshop works BEFORE the update, and will not open due to this error AFTER the update, so there's some issue with the updating procedure that causes Photoshop to not recognize my Windows 7 system, and I just pray that SOMEBODY out there might be able to help me change some setting on my system that will cause Photoshop 13.1.2 to actually work!
UPDATE: I decided to check the 32-bit version of 13.1.2, and it works!  So it looks like this error is limited to the 64-bit version.  That just makes no sense at all to me.
    UPDATE # 2:
I followed Jeff Wright's advice about checking the installation error log.  I had no errors... An error log doesn't even exist in my case.  The funny thing is that the 32-bit version works beautifully!  After reading this thread,  I thought that the problem might be related to my video card driver.  Although I don't see any logic to that, I decided to go out to the NVIDIA website and update my driver.  The driver I had was only 3 months old.  Anyway, I did it.  I then uninstalled Photoshop using the Windows 7 uninstall program utility and reinstalled Photoshop.  I get the same error message when I try to run the 64-bit version of 13.1.2.. something to the effect of "this computer must be running Windows 7 to run this program."  However, the 32-bit version loads and works perfectly.  Since I'm now at my wit's end, I decided to uninstall Photoshop again, but this time using the REVO uninstaller utility hoping that somehow that the Windows uninstaller wasn't working correctly.  I completely uninstalled it, reinstalled it using Adobe Application Manager and get the same results.  As long as I stay at 13.0.x, Photoshop works fine in both the 32-bit AND 64-bit editions, but as soon as I using Adobe Application Manager to update to 13.1.2, the 64-bit program won't run.  I just don't understand how the 32-bit version will run perfectly, but the 64-bit version won't.  THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY !!!

  • Why won't air print wont work after ios6 update on iphone?

It was working before I updated....my printer is KodakEPS2170

I had the same issue.  BTW, that troubleshooting assistant is worthless.  I did 2 things to get it working.  I'm not sure if one or the other fixed it or it was combination of both.  I had the "No Air Printers Found" and did the usual rebooting everything, firmware updates, etc.  I could print and scan from the epson app fine.  I downloaded the epson airprint app from the app store (It's called Epson Printer Finder) and verified my settings under the Airprint section and choose to save the settings.  I didn't change anything, just looked at the settings.  I also setup the epson connect feature on the printer.  After I did both of those I went into mail and tried to print an email message and all of a sudden I could see my printer.  It's worked perfect since then.  I hope this helps someone.

  • Mighty Mouse stops working after a few hours on iMac G5

    Hello
I got a mighty mouse and it worked perfectly for a while (so I know that I am clicking and using it properly)
...then it just started acting crazy..
    examples:
-I'd have my hand over it(not touching it) and it would register a click
    -randomly registering clicking side-buttons
    -right-click just doesn't work
So I took it back to apple store and got a replacement...no problem.
I plugged in new one...worked fine for a while, then the same problem reappears.
So I unhook the mighty mouse, plugin my MSFT optical mouse...then a few hours later, perhaps a reboot or two... I'll plugin my Mighty Mouse and again it will work fine. Then the whole problem repeats itself.
I don't think the problem is with the mouse..but perhaps how it works on the iMac G5.
Anyone seen anything like this? Its strange it happenned on TWO diff. Mighty Mouses.

    Rob
I haven't gotten any help on it. I mean to call apple but haven't gotten to it. I will try turning off the side buttons when I get to the machine again, but as far as I'm concerned, for approx $50, this thing should work perfectly. I bought it because it has more buttons and turning them off isn't an option. APPLE, ARE YOU LISTENING.
    Please help us!
    Marc

  • CD Spanning no longer working after last update

I was able to burn an audible audiobook that spanned several CD's before the last update, now the burn stops with the first CD and completes. No error, it just burns the first 59 minutes of the playlist.. This is very annoying...

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

  • Middle-mouse paste function stopped working after last update

I think FireFox was updated last night. Ever since then my middle mouse paste function doesn't work any more.
I haven't installed any addons or changed settings either.
    I'm talking about: about:config > middlemouse.paste = true
I've tried toggling it etc. but nothing I can do changes it. Any ideas?

X reads first configuration in /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d then /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d
When you copy 10-evdev.conf file into /etc/X11 you completly override previous system configuration. It's the reason copying synaptics configuration file into /etc/X11 fixes the issue
Defining default system configuration in /etc/X11 with previous xorg was a mistake, now it's fixed.
Wiki should be fixed. It's not a packaging bug, but a configuration bug.
    @lordheavy
I agree with you that the new xf86-input-synaptics package is using the right configuration scheme, however it is breaking the functionality on every installed system. It was a packaging bug, which is now fixed, but it has to be handled manually by most users of previous versions. That's why I won't re-open the bug report FS#41589. Instead, I am asking here: shouldn't this change be notified to the users just like it has been done for most breaking changes on archlinux frontpage news?
By the way, thanks for your great work.
