MIGO authorization

Hai Experts.
IN MIGO ,
for my user ID , its showing all the line items . after receiving goods also . Actually i given tolerance 3 % in my user id , I do the MIGO for only PO order qty , and save . Again . i open the MIGO , same PO , its showing all the line items . qty is showing 0 qty edit mdode.
For my client user id , its not showing the all the line items .what are the open PO qty is there ,that's line item only its showing .
Clients wants that , after receiving po order qty ,i want to show all line items in MIGO .
give me solution for this one . Tell me any object authorization allowing

Hi, Just compare MIGO screen for your User ID & your Client user ID,
For MIGO to suggest quantities of zero upon GR with reference to PO even all ordered quantity was received,
Run transaction MIGO -> Settings -> Default Values & see the check-on "Propose All Items" is there for your client also, it is only effective for the user who adopt this MIGO settings.

MIGO authorization available despite removing

Dear All
A user id was accidentally given authorization for MIGO transaction.
Issue is to remove the same.
We removed the user from all roles containing MIGO and assigned the remaining t codes with a new role
But still MIGO is available.
I checked through SUIM and MIGO is available and even the user executed it. MIGO is working.
But through su01 we checked each role . MIGO is not found anywhere. Please help as it is getting misused.
P.S : The user id is active so cant delete and create new user in place of that(we are considering it as a last option )

Check authorization object for t.code MIGO in SU24 as 'YES' ? and revoke authorization for respective objects and
create new user role with reqd. authorization for user.

MIGO Authorization Requirement

Dear Friends,
There is a situation, where one user enters data in MIGO for GI with Others option with movement type 231 for issuing material to the vendor. this is done by many users. we want to have a confirmation process on this, when user clicks on Save button, we will throw a msg as "you are normal user, you can't save data and you need to click on Hold button only". and on clicking Hold, system will give one reference number. we want to mail this number to the approval authority of the user. so that approval authority will login to the tcode MIGO, opens that doc from Held data section and Saves the data to generate material and accounting docs.
Is there any standard solution in SAP to maintain approval authrities against the users for MIGO and movement types.Is there any authorization object to resolve this issue,

You can do the following to get to the solution part of the problem.
For a user who gets error message" you are normal user, you can't save data and you need to click on Hold button only", after getting that error message ask him/her to run /NSU53 in command prompt. It will give the details of his authorization objects in his/her profile for that transaction. Save it in txt format and send it to Security team.
Now for a user who can complete MIGO without any problem, after executing MIGO transaction ask him/her to run /NSU53 report without coming out of MIGO screen. I mean after executing MIGO with out coming out he/she should type /NSU53 in command prompt.It holds good even in the above case.
This will list out what are all the authorization objects he/she has. Save it in txt format and send it to Security team.
Then security team will analyze the both the reports and give you exactly what is mising in the first case. You can then proceed accordingly.

Goods issue against STO (plant authorization)

Dear All
I have an authorization issue when doing goods issue from Plant 1, against an STO raised for Plant 2.
User has MIGO authorization for 351mvt with authorization object M_MSEG_BWA;
Also he has authorization for all storage locations of Plant 1 and 351mvt with object M_MSEG_LGO; And plant authorization of migo is given for Plant 1 with authorization object M_MSEG_WWA
To issue goods from plant 1 to Plant 2 against the STO raised at Plant 2, what authorization does he require? At the same time he should not able to do GR for POs of plant 2 etc.

I was also in same impression but the SU53 screenshot is showing authorization problem with object M_MSEG_WWA for Plant 2.
User has been given the same for plant 1 (own plant)

Material Type Authorization

Hi All,
I want to restrict a material type in purchasing documents (ME21N & ME31K, ME51N) & goods movement (MIGO)using authorization which is being used by different set of people.
How can this be done.

you can use Use Auth object M_MATE_MAR Material Master: Material Types and in roles assignment for T-codes and MIGO authorization with movement types.
i think basis can help you better in this case they can make the role according to the requirement.

Authorization Control for MIGO

Dear All,
We are in process of controlling authorization of some users, so that they will be able to access transaction MIGO, only for posting material documents of Goods Receipt, Cancelling GRN & Posting RRD. The users should not be able to post material issue, material transfer through the transaction MIGO.
When we changed the role assigned to the user by giving authority only for the specific trancaction code MIGO, it also allowed the users to post Goods Issue, Transfer posting through transaction MIGO, along with transaction of Goods Receipt, which is unwanted.
We also can not control the authorization of users based on Movement Type, because, if we do it, the user will not be able to view the material documents other that Goods Issue & it will also restrict the report viewing for other movement types.
Can anyone provide any valuable suggestions on this?

But, still, as I mentioned, I do not want to control authorization based on Movement Type. This would prohibit the user from displaying reports.

Authorization for cost center in migo transaction

Dear Experts,
I need to restrict the user by the cost center assigned to him in the migo transaction,
i tried with these objects A_S_KOSTL, K_CSKS and K_CCA. As per forum threads I also maintained the check in su24 , but still authorization is not happening.
please let me know how to do it, is there any user exits to achieve .

You can do teh followign , apart from others :
1. Ask the business owner the values for teh objects...ofcourse explain to them what the objects are in plain lainguage.
2. Then populate the values "accordingly"
OR
1.As an earlier post...trace teh user --on ST01 - here again - you can give eiither wide access and trace teh path and then restrict ..or restriced acces and then each time a road block is hit ..analysi s and assign.
BUT DONOT maintian SU24 to restrict acces !!

Authorization restriction for Goods issue . others radio button in migo tcode

We have a situation wherein the user is able to issue goods using tcode MIGO by choosing Goods issue --> Others and the movement type 201
the above mentioning details i need to block the others tab only for specific user ids i have checked the MIGO objects But its not worked
please give me solution for block the others button on the drop down box

Dear Anandan,
Please use trace t.code ST01 to fix the issue.
You can restrict the movement type using the authorization object M_MSEG_BWA.
If you can provide the step by step screens where you want to exactly restrict we can fix it.

In Display material Document (by MIGO), there are field GOITEM-DMBTR (Amt.in loc.cur.)
How to active the authorize for this field
For Example User A can display this field and user B can't display

this can be done by basis consultant...
if u r missing authorization then...run SU53..and note down the object which is giving the authorization issue..
and then ask ur basis consultant that..assign that object to particular user role...

No Authorization for Planning plant in MIGO

Hi Gurus,
I have an issue for the Goods Receipt for multiple line items of account assigned( F) PO.
When user try to receive goods thru MIGO, system throws an error (dump) saying "NO AUTHORIZATION FOR PLANNING PLANT XXX" even though roles are assigned to the user.
I went thru the OSS note 385830 but it hardly helped me.
Pls throw some light on the issue...

Hi,
Check for the Authorization Object that system is referring for the error in SU53 transaction. You may process the transaction and once the error comes, go to transaction SU53 check for the Authorization object there.
You can check the roles available for a given authorization object in SUIM transaction.

Authorization object creation for transaction MIGO

Hi,
We have created the auth object for acct asignment category with values as activity & acct assignment category.
But when assigned to respective users, its still allowing to perform the transactions.
Basically I am using this object for doing Goods Reciept tcode MIGO.
As in if auth object carries value 'K' in this object i.e. for cost center then other user with value 'P' i.e. project wont be allowed to perform the MIGO for POs with 'K'.
Kindly tell me the specifications for the auth object, so that it will restrict users from performing the MIGO.

hi!
1) identify the infoobject which must have restricted access. I think it is Profit Center in your case or may be PSP element
2) in infoobject maintainance screen check Whether it is marked as Authorization relevant(RSD1)
3) goto RSSM and create a new authorization object and add your infoobject to it.
4) in PFCG role maintainance screen add create a new role Project Management and addt eh users to it. under the authorizations tab go to maintaina authorizatioons and add your authorization object that you create in RSSM. and maintain the correct values with in it.

Hi,
Create a custom profile via tcode PFCG.
Add the required tcode 'MIGO' to the 'Menu' tab.
Then goto 'Authorizations' and open expert mode for authorization. Here you can control the field values for authorization object. Once done, generate the profile and assign user to role along with user master comparison run.

I allready checked the Tr. code SU24 but it needs to checked Autho Object M_BEST_EKO & M_BEST_EKG. but still it is not restricting on basis of Pur. Group & Pur. Organisation.
I want to know how people restricting user for T code MIGO for Pur. goup & Pur organ.

Report to check authorization object used in customized programs

Hi Guys,
An auditor came and he raised a question to us, he asked whether all of our customized transactions and programs are maintained with authorization checks? The question is how can we check what authorization objects are used for our customized programs and transaction codes? The developer did not maintain the objects used for that program in SU24 table. Is there a program or a report to show us all the authorization object used for a customised program or transaction? Example : T-code MIGO we can check in SU24 table for all the authorization object used. How do we check for customized tcodes? Please advise. Thanks!

Note that some programs are built in such a way that no (visible) auth check is necessary, or even desired at all.
To determine the necessity of an auth check, you should check that starting it has an entry point (tcode, rfc, service) which is appropriately restricted. The rest (whether and where and how a further check is evaluated) is entirely dependent to what the program actually does.
Well designed applications generally have centralized functions and methods, and the checks are in there or a "base check" they use.
Others again use the same in UI programming to determine the visibility of functions, to make the application more intuitive for the user. This on it's own is however not a sufficient auth check to rely on.
Code review is an art form!
