  • Open items migration for document splitting

    Hi,
    We have done document splitting in 2011, Now all open items before 2011 to be migrated into the new fiscal year (2011).
    Please suggest us how to migrate all the open items into new GL with document splitting activated?
    Eagerly waiting for the reply.
    Thanking you in Adavnce,
    Raghuvir

    Hi Raghuvir,
    There were critical reasons why the split of the open line items of prior years has not provided within the standard migration scenarios.
    The structure and the account assignment information of the already posted documents from the prior years is probably does not satisfy the new document splitting. Therefore it is not possible to split the documents form phase 0 (migration cockpit) based on the new the splitting rules set in the customizing.
    It is also too critical to allow a customer based split in the BAdI since it cannot be garanteed if the sum of split amounts in all the
    currencies still equal the old amount. Furthermore it cannot be traced any more where the split amounts are coming from which would lead to a problems regarding the auditability of the new g/l migration.
    The only possiblity that SAP can offer to the customers is to take over the split amounts from the already existing SL ledgers which have been used before the migration to new g/l.
    I believe that this answer your inquiry. I am sorry that I cannot give you a more positive answer regarding your issue.
    Kind Regards,
    Vanessa.

  • Document.form.element.value

    Hi All,
    I'm very new to javascript and had a quick question!  Her is a sample of my code.
    <script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
                      function fnShowText(txt)
                        var x = document.getElementById(txt);
                        var e = document.getElementById(txt).name;
                        var sText = x.options.value;
                        var f = e.concat("b");
                        for (i=0; i<mainform.elements.length; i++)
                           if (mainform.elements<i>.name == f)
                         document.forms[0].elements<i>.value = sText;
                    </script>
    I know what the value of elements is, but I want this script to be dynamic.  Instead of looping through all the elements to find the value 'i' like I am currently doing it.  This is bad response time.  Is there a way to skip the looping and make this call dynamically if I already have the name of the element?
    Thanks in advance!
    Eric
    By the way there is a 'i' after elements but for some reason it isn't showing up on this board.

    if you have a input tag in your html page you can go about it the following ways.
    <input type=text name="t1" id="t1"></input>
    <script>
    document.getElementById("t1").value = "here";
    document.getELementsByName("t1")[0].value = "there";
    </script>
    getElementsByName brings back an array.
    getElementByID gets back one object.
    You should test your taget browsers with both of these.  I know that IE works fine with getID, but others do not.

  • How to get a pdf document out of a Document form

    Hi all,
    I have a question of how to get the actual PDF out of a Document Form, when I take the @document value I only get some xml representation of the form, but I need to get the actual PDF.
    Thanks in advance
    Sincerely
    Kim

    The @document is the way to get the PDF out from the DocumentForm varibale. If you get just the data, it's because the DocumentForm was populated with just the data in the first place.
    Make sure you submit PDF from your form and not just the data.

  • Forms 4.5 Migration to Oracle Forms 10g

    Hi All,
    I want to know abt migration steps i.e. i 'm doing migration of Oracle Forms 4.5 to Oracle Forms 10g. Then existing forms is on Windows NT based environment and the database is Oracle 8.
    What is the better way to approach this issue? Whether, directly open the existing Forms into Oracle Forms 10g or first open the form into Forms 6i and then after 10g?
    Tell me the System Specification.... Database version.... Which Application Server is suitable.... And whether the Oracle 9i database possible for Forms 10g or not.
    Pls Give me solution.

    4.5 to 10g (strictly speaking is not supported) but should work ok - Generally speaking you just open your Forms in the 10g builder and compile. You should check out otn.oracle.com/formsupgrade which gives you some good pointers including the Forms built-in procedures that have be desupported and removed from the product.
    4.5 -> 6i -> 10g was the supported route (but even 6i is desupported now).

  • MIGO - MB02 - MB90 Print material document forms

    Hi,
    I want to print out a material document form associated to material transfer within the same plant. Movement 311/411 & 415.
    As for today the procedure is to create the material doc (MIGO) -> declare the message associated (MB02) -> print (MB90). Is there a way to suppress the MB02 transaction by adding a button to MIGO? (or any other better way).
    Thanks in advance... points awaiting.
    Garcia

    Hi,
    II. Pls check the below settings for GR Print out:
    1. Maintain the Printer Name in SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Print Control->Gen Settings->Printer Setting
    2. Ensure that in SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Print Control->Gen Settings->Item Print Indicator, 1 stands for Matl Doc print out
    3. In SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Print Control->Gen Settings->Print Version, maintain Print Version 2
    4. In SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Print Control->Maintain Print Indicator for GI/Transfer Posting Documents
    5. In SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Output Determination->Maintain Output Types, for the Output types WE01, WE02 and WE03, ensure the foll:
    a. Default Values: Dispatch Time is 3 or 4 as per reqmt. and Tr medium is 1
    b. Print Parameter is 7
    6. In SPRO->Matl Mgmt->Inv Mgmt and Phy Inv->Output Determination->Printer Det->Pr Det by Pl/StoLoc, maintain the Output device for all your Plants
    7. Go to MN21, for Tr Type WE, Print Version 3, maintain Print Item as 1.
    Now the settings are ready for Printing Material  doc
    8. While doing MIGO, ensure that in General Tab, you get "3 Collective Slip" beside the Print Indicator and you tick mark the field.
    9. Now depending on the setting in 5a, the Matl doc is printed. If it is 3, you have to print it using MB90. If it is 4, it is printed immediately.

  • How to do Oracle Forms 4.5 migration to Oracle Forms 10g

    Hi All !
    I will start a process in order to migrate our currently Forms/Reports 4.5 application to Oracle 10g (Forms/Reports 10g). I need to know in order to begin this process.
    For example: What Oracle Application Server my customers needs to buy ? and about licenses that they need to have ? What are the Basic Steps to follow? And Related Information.
    HELP me.
    Thank you

    It is a Migration to 6i, then to 10g or 11g. This will take you about 1-1.5 days per form Manually (Migration Assistant is used to help on the 6i to 10g/11g portion). There is a lot of changes that need to be considered, and this is a very daunting task, especially from 4.5. You need to change all of the Forms from Character Mode to Real for one. There are are over 160 statements that have either changed or have been de-supported (This means won't work now, not like the 3.0 commands that worked through 9i).
    There is a tool that my company offers that can do the 4.5 -> 10g/11g Upgrade is as little as 5 days (No matter how many forms/reports you have). I don't mean to advertise, but it is the only thing on the market that does this. www.pitssamerica.com is the site and PITSS.con is the tool. Look at this.

  • Sign in document forms??

    Where are the sign in document forms?

    I have no idea how Citibank sends out its PDF files. If you're in a Mail, you'll see a PDF appear in the body of the mail. Click on it and it will open in Mail. Then click the Share button and choose Open In and select Adobe Reader.
    If you're in Safari, the web browser, click on the link to the PDF file. It will open up in Safari. Click the Open In button and select Adobe Reader.
    Adobe has absolutely nothing to it at all. It's between you and Citibank.
    If you're having problems, I'd suggest calling Citibank support (good luck with that!)

    Hi Richard Pagé,
    Currently it is not possible to copy Form Settings from one user to
    another user within the same database, please kindly refer to attached

  • Opener.document.forms.wwv_flow.supplier has no properties

    I'm trying to pass a value from a Popup page to a multi-row report (tabular form).
    and I'm getting the error, which you can read in my subject line of this posting.
    I don't know what the error is telling me when it reads: SUPPLIER has no properties.
    the javascript is as follows:
    opener.document.forms["wwv_flow"].supplier['f01_0008'].value = passVal1; close()...
    where SUPPLIER is the item in the Tabular Form to receive the value I'm passing back from the popup page.
    and
    f01_0008 is the identifier for the row in the tabular form to passback to.
    Can anyone help me here?

    Hi Carl. Thanks for your reply. I'm really floundering around here with this.
    I don't really know how to write javascript, but am using what I find available and trying to adapt it to my application.
    I found an example in the forum that seemed to be an exact match to what I was trying to do, but it was incomplete.
    This is the code that I've got in the HTML header of my Popup page:
    <script language="JavaScript">
    function passBack(passItem1, passVal1)
    opener.document.forms["wwv_flow"].supplier['&P143_ITEM.'].value = passVal1; close();
    </script>
    P143_ITEM is a hidden item on the popup page that contains the rownumber from the tabular form on the calling page.
    SUPPLIER is a column in the row of the calling page.
    And is where I want to pass the value To from the popup page.
    When I drag my cursor over the hyperlink text on the Popup page,
    Then the information I see at the bottom of the page is this:
    javascript:passBack('f01_0006','Graybar Electric Co.');
    It appears to be correct.
    Where F01_0006 is the row where I want to pass the value GRAYBAR ELECTRIC CO.
    The problem seems to be that I cannot specify the Column where I want to pass
    'Graybar Electric Co.' to. (ie: the column SUPPLIER)
    If you have any ideas, it would be greatly! appreciated.
    Thanks- Gary

    Which will be the better option to migrate 10g/11i???
    which will be easier to migrate 10g/11i ??
    Is there any complication in migrating from 6i to 10g/11i??
    Will there be any dataloss if i migrate ??
    can i install oracle forms and reports 6i ,10g and 11i in single system ??
    thanks in Advance,
    Regards,
    santosh.Minupurey

    Are you currently deployed on the web or as c/s. Generally speaking for upgrading Forms its a case of open in the builder, regenerate and run. For c/s to web there may be some extra steps to do but generally speaking most Forms will run out of the box.
    CHeck out otn.oracle.com/formsupgrade
    There is also a batch option to help you and there are of course Oracle partners who can help as well.

  • Next record on Business Document Forms

    Hi all,
    I would like to make some settings on Business Document Forms regarding the current showing record. How will I know another record is presented to the user in the form? (E.g. user clicks Next/Previous etc.)
    Version: 2004 C, PL 49
    Thank you for your suggestion
    Best regards,
    Daniel Martinec

    Hi Daniel,
    I'm not aware how the 2004 C version behaves. I'd never tried to use the datasource load (there must be datasources to load in order to let this work).
    I'd rather suggest to capture the menuclicks.
    <b>Code (C#):
    public void HandleMenuEvents(ref MenuEvent pVal, out bool BubblesEvent)
      /* Previous or next records */
      if(((pVal.MenuUID == "1288") || (pVal.MenuUID == "1289") || (pVal.MenuUID == "1290") || (pVal.MenuUID == "1291")) && !pVal.BeforeAction && (SBO_Application.Forms.ActiveForm.Type == YOUR_FORM_TYPE))
        /* ADD YOUR LOGIC HERE */
    Hope it helps...
