Migrate CUCM v7 to V10.5

Dear all
I have a CUCM version 7, I want to migrate version 10.5 but i failed. I make a PCD for migrate but CUCM version 7 have error Invalid path specified for floppy destination when export configuration CUCM.
I do same document and file boot in fresh_install is: UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_10.5.2.10000-5.sgn.iso
Please help me?

Interesting, I only found reference to a similar issue and the bootable image was corrupted, did you verify the MD5 checksum for it???

    I am facing an issue when trying to upgrade from CUCM 7.1.5.30000-1 to 9.1(2) over UCS following the jump upgrade procedure.
    I have installed 7.1.5 CUCM software on the UCS using the 9.1(2) ova. (two nodes cluster), and after that restored the CUCM backup.
    I have loaded "ciscocm.refresh_upgrade_v1.3.cop" file before the upgrade on both nodes.
    The connectivity with NTP server is good.
    The upgrade file I am using is "UCSInstall_UCOS_9.1.2.11900-12.sgn".
    The installation begins on Publisher but after three hours and when it is ending it fails. I have checked the installation logs and this is what it shows:

    Just for the record. I found the solution to my problem. Checking more logs I read this:
    The installation has encountered a unrecoverable internal error. For further assistance report the following information to your support provider.
    "/usr/local/cm/script/cm-dbl-ontape_backup-install RU PostInstall 9.1.2.11900-12 7.1.5.30000-1 /usr/local/cm/ /common/component/database /common/log/install/capture.txt " terminated. Exceeded max time (240)
    The system will now halt.
    So I accessed the Dissaster Recovery Section on CUCM and deleted the tape backup device that was configured there. After deleting it the upgrade went well.

  • Migration CUCM - BE 5K to BE6K

    I think I allready post on that and I got different answer somewhere else..
    Anyone did a CUCM migration from 5K to 6K 
    We know for the unity we can user the Cobra but for the CUCM I think we cannot do a CUCM backup and Restore from DRS because the platform is totally different.
    Anyone got experience with that and would like to share ?

    For the 5k to 6k they created a document for bulk / cobra.  It's nothing reeally different, it's a regular export ..but it may be usefull

  • I need to migrate CUCM 8.6.2 from 6.0.1 but don't have any DVD of old 6.0.1

    Dear Experts,
    I have new project which has been abandon for long and assigned to me recently.
    I know what is the steps we need to work.
    1. DRS from current CUCM version
    2. Install same version of 6.0.1 to new Server
    3. Backup from step1.
    4. Upgrade to 8.6.2(it is not direct support, so I have to upgrade to middle version first)
    But customer doesn't have current CUCM(6.0.1) version of DVD and I cannot find the version from Cisco site as well.
    1. Can I export BAT from old version and import BAT to new version ? will it work ?
    2. I don't have any bootable version either of old or new, so I need to make bootable after download from Cisco site.
    I googled and some site said I can copy bootsector from bootable DVD and copy to new DVD, in this case even though  it is not same version, for example, if I copy from 10.5 version and copy to 8.6.2, does it make bootable DVD ?
    3. How can I remove all configuration on CUCM ? is it CLI command if I can ?

    There is a way, however if you got into any bad situation or needed any help during the process TAC WILL NOT be able help.

    Try this method, and you should be able to create bootable DVDs from non-Bootable ones.
    Secondly, you may raise a TAC SR and request them to release the Bootable media for 6.0.1

  • Application Migration (v3.2.3 v10.1.3)

    Hello,
    I'm currently trying to migrate an application from JDev 3.2.3 to JDev 10.1.3.
    JDeveloper marks the migration as successfull, but the application doesn't contain all the projects and I can't add them one by one.
    When the application is opened and migrated in JDev 9.0.3, the application does contain all the projects.

    I would recommend going from 3.2.3 to 9.0.3.4, then from 9.0.3.4 to 10.1.2, then from 10.1.2 to 10.1.3.
    It should be enough to just open the workspace in each later release, then do Save All.
    For some apps using ADFBC data tags, I've found it useful to pass "through" 10.1.2 on the way to 10.1.3 in my experience.

    Hi,
    you can login PCD through putty for seeing the logs
    file list activelog tomcat/logs/ucmap/log4j/ detail date
    further, run 
    file tail activelog tomcat/logs/ucmap/logs4j/ucmap00001.log[for example]

    I am currently running cucm 8.5.1 and cue 8.6.1 in phone system and now I am looking to migrate cucm to 9.1 verison.
    Becuase cucm 9.1 does not support CUE 8.6.1 so I need upgrade cue to 8.6.7 verion.
    My planning is upgrade cue first and after that upgrade for cucm but I don't know is whether cucm 8.5.1 provides supports for cue 8.6.7 or not?

    and they said that my case is an "ordering issue".
    Do I need to order some SKUs from CCW before I can upgrade my CUCM?

    I am planning to migrate CUCM 8.6 to CUCM 9.1 and changing the platform MCS to VMware ESXi 5.0.
    This is my individual project doing overseas first time, My client location is Sudan Khartoum, When I gone through some pages got the below quries
    1. Restricted / Unrestricted version of CUCM (Which is preferred for Sudan country)
    2. Export and Contract Compliance ( Is this mandatory)
    3. Any other Cisco recommended guidance to follow behalf of this location. (Sudan)

    You will need to use the Unrestricted version of the product if installing it in Sudan. Using the Restricted build would violate US Export regulations.

  • Call logs are missing after migrating to VM

    We recently migrated CUCM 8.6.2 from physical server to VM. Phones are all fine, but some no longer update their Call Logs (i.e. Missing, Recieved, Placed). Doing a Factory reset does a fix for a single phone, but normal reset or reboot doesn't. Can someone think of the possible reason for this?

    Can you please try this for one phone check whether its work or not?
    ** Delete ITL file on the phone
    - Go to Settings
    - Security Configuration
    - Trust List
    - Unlock (*##)
    - Click on "more"
    - Erase ITL file (the phone will be reset by its own)

  • Crystal Reports upgrade

    I'm currently looking at the options for migrating off Crystal Reports V10. Two options have been put forward by my IT supplier - Crystal Reports XI and Business Objects XI.
    Can anyone offer advice on the Business Objects XI option? Is it easy to 'convert' reports we have already developed/published using Crystal Reports V10? What level of training will the developers need? And do you require a 'business objects universe' (we do not currently use a universe).
    Also - what is the correct product name of the latest version of Business Objects for report development?

    As you have mentioned that you are using Crystal Reports V10 and also that you are not using the Universe, then you can go ahead with Crystal Reports XI.
    THe Business Objects XI comes with the Universe Designer and the other reporting tools such as Desktop Intelligence (DeskI) and Web intelligence (WebI), Import Wizard, Publishing Wizard and Report Conversion Tool etc.
    The latest version of Business Objects is Business Objects XI 3.1 and for Crystal Reports is CR 2008.

  • Upgrade Order 9.x to 10.5

    We're currently running the below UC applications and I'm trying to determine the best order for migration:
    CUCM 9.1.2
    CUC 9.1.2
    CUAC Enterprise 9.1.1 
    Does the Attendant Console have to be migrated first? Is anyone running the CUAC 9.x in a 10.x environment? If possible we would like to hold off on upgrading that component until later, but not sure if it's possible.

  • Upgrade 10.5.8 to 10.6.4 server

    I´ve upgrade a server from 10.5.8 to 10.6.4 (have done this a few times before, went smoothly before) and I have an issue remaining with the caldav server (I had other issues but got those sorted).
    the caldav data on the server gets upgrade to the new directory schema when I start ical. I can login but I dont see any calendars nor events. I can only create a new calendar...
    this drives me crazy because I got some users relying on that service and wanting their calendars back! already checked a lot of things (permissions are fine, already tried to reimport the calendar data, deleted .db.sqlite,..) but nothing worked out so far. so if anyone can point me in the right direction I´d be happy!

    third step u should do after all the servers are upgraded successfully to CUCM10.5.
    Licenses u can have after successful migration since u need to share the PLM file to licnesing team.
