Relink failed when migrating EBS from Solaris to Linux
Hi,
I am migrating EBS 12.1.1 instance from Solaris 10 to Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5.
Oracle version 11.1.0.7.0.
And binutils version is :
$ rpm -qa | grep binutils
binutils-2.17.50.0.6-14.el5
Using note when doing step 8 of 438086.1 note, Download and apply the customer-specific update with AutoPatch
There is plenty of space available in the partition and R+W access is given to os user.

Migrating EBS GL, AP, AR, asset
we are migrating EBS R12 GL, AP, AR, asset, CM to SAP , is there any standard interface or program can export data from Oracle to SAP? thanks
or should we need to use PL/SQL? any table in Oracle we need to extract transaction data like AP open item?Hi,
as far as i know there is no such tool to do data conversion from Oracle ERP to SAP.
To be honest, it would make more sense to search SAP forums for information regarding
this kind of migration, Why should Oracle be interested in providing Tools to migrate a eBS
Installation to some other - competitor's - software?
From the technical point of view you have several options to move data between two
systems and pl/sql is just one option,
If there is no direct migration path (i only know Oracle ERP but not SAP) you should have
either one person which is familiar with both data models or two (one Oracle consultant
and one SAP consultant) which can do some kind of data mapping between both systems
and this must be done for every module.

Using i-setup, how to migrate EBS configuration from one Business Group to the other within the instance?
Sandeep,
Yes, I think your command format is not correct.
Try the one that Rod posted.
About the note on metalink. It seems that it is under review.
Here is the basics of the note:
1. Determine the owner of the workbook. Say UserA.
2. Open an sqlplus session to the database.
3. Run the following sql:
SQL> set heading off
SQL> set feedback off
SQL> set echo off
4. Now spool the result of the following sql to a file.
SQL> spool c:\exp.bat
5. Run the sql statement
NOTE: CHANGE DISCOE_HOME
SQL>select '<Disco_Home>\discvr4\dis4adm /connect
EUL_owner_name/passwd@connect_string /export c:\'||rownum||'.eex /workbook "'||
doc_created_by||'.'||doc_name||'"' from
SELECT EUL4_DOCUMENTS.DOC_NAME, doc_created_by, NVL(EUL4_EUL_USERS.EU_USERNAME,
'Document Not Shared') shared_with
FROM EUL4_ACCESS_PRIVS EUL4_ACCESS_PRIVS, EUL4_DOCUMENTS EUL4_DOCUMENTS,
EUL4_EUL_USERS EUL4_EUL_USERS
WHERE ( EUL4_DOCUMENTS.DOC_ID = EUL4_ACCESS_PRIVS.GD_DOC_ID(+) ) AND (
EUL4_EUL_USERS.EU_ID(+) = EUL4_ACCESS_PRIVS.AP_EU_ID )
where doc_created_by='UserA'
where,
Disco_Home is the Location or Discoverer 4 Home.
4. SQL> spool off
5. SQL> set feedback on
6. Now run the batch command file (exp.bat)

Migrating EBS from 32-bit to 64-bit
Hi,
I have a R12 Instance(12.1.3) with 11.1.0.7 database on 32-bit Linux. Now we are planning to do a clone of the existing R12 Instance to a newly created 64-bit Linux server. So i would like to know the steps involved in migrating the E-Business Suite from 32-bit to 64-bit.
Regards,
Vineel.CI had gone through the Metalink Note[471566.1] which you had sent me. It was useful but internally it had referred to another Note:762669.1 which says in Migrate from Linux 32-bit to Linux 64-bit
h.Upgrade the database from 32-bit to 64-bit (recompile pl/sql modules and change the word size) by running $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/utlrp.sql. Refer to the usage and notes sections in the script for instructions on how to run it.
But in general utlrp.sql is used for compiling Invalid objects.
Can you elaborate on this.Because of the word size change (from 32-bit to 64-bit), the database objects will be invalidated and you need to run utlrp.sql script to compile them.
Difference between UTLRP.SQL - UTLIRP.SQL - UTLIP.SQL? [ID 272322.1]
Changing between 32-bit and 64-bit Word Sizes [ID 62290.1] -- Step 16. Run utlirp.sql

Migrating from Linux Mail to Exchange 2013
Is there any official documents of the Best Practices of migrating Linux Mail (Exim) to Exchange 2013?
I appreciate any help that I can receive. Thanks in advance.
My best regards.Hi,
Basic on my research, I’m afraid that there is no tool for this kind of migration, we may need to start from PST file.
We can use Microsoft Exchange PST Capture to search for PST files on computers in your organization and then import those files to mailboxes in your organization, for your reference:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh781036(v=exchg.141).aspx
Besides, I find an similar thread about Migrate Exim to Exchange:

Thanks

I used migration assistant and my ethernet cable to move data and apps from my 5-yr old Intel-based iMac to my brand new Intel-based iMac running OS Lion. The old machine was running OS 10.5.8. Not all my files transferred (or I can't find them). I've seen recommendations to select the old computer in System Preferences, but that didn't work. Help. Thanks!
IMO, wrong choice. Start over, using a FireWire cable and following the steps in Pondini's Setup New Mac guide.

Migrate DB from linux box to unix box
any specific metalink document available for doing the migration of DB from linux to unix..
thanks
regardsYou can use the Transport tablespace concept. But it is important for you to be on a 10g database, otherwise the only way you can perform this migration is by using the traditional export/import.

Migrating EBS from Solaris to Linux
Hi DBAs,
I need to migrate the EBS (11.5.10.2) on 4 middle tier servers with single node database (10.2.0.4) running on Solaris 10 to Redhat 5.4 platform. The DB on redhat will be Cluster database with 4 nodes and PCP enabled. As it is a cross platform migration so I am thinking to use export/import of database.
But for application tier, I need help how to clone the environment from Solaris 10 to Redhat 5.4. Do I need to install the Application Software from scratch, if so then how to move the configuration and custom structure across the plateform. Can I perfrom or Use Rapid Clone from Solaris to Redhat. What all option available for cross-platform migration of EBS ?
Please suggest , any doc refer , white paper or step by step instruction would be great.
Thanks
-Samar-Samar,

Pls advise .
EBS - 11.5.10.2
Apps servers Linux 5
Database 11gR2 Aix 6.1We are hosting multiple business suite 11i on server and and it's shared Appltop.
I have installed JDK 1.6 on /do1/java directory and future will be shared by all ebs apps. I have not installed jdk under comm top because it is shared appltop
if I use comm top I will ended up instaling l jdk only on one server. But another issue is If i have to upgrade jdk infuture ,that mean I need to failover all services.
Do you have such env where multiple business running on one server and how you handled jdk setup ?If you do not want to have one JDK installed and shared between the instances, then your option would be installing multiple versions of JDK (one for each instance). These directories can be on any mount point (which is not shared with any of the instances). Each instance will be having its own JDK60_TOP (or JDK_TOP) which denotes the top-level directory where the JDK is to be installed.
Please see (Using J2SE Version 6 with Oracle E-Business Suite 11i [ID 401561.1]) for details.
