Migrated my CS6 to a new computer without deactivating

I screwed up. I migrated my purchased CS6 from my old Mac Pro 1.1 to my newer Mac Pro 4.1 without deactivating it. The old computer is gone.
I noticed that I am now getting notices about a trial period of Creative Cloud? I think it's because it now detects that I'm using more than 2 computers ( my laptop, my old Mac Pro, and my new Mac Pro.)
Can I go back on deactivate my CS6 on my old Mac Pro online?

You might be having a problem due to migration.  Adobe software needs to be installed, transferring doesn't work.
As far as deactivation goes, you will have to contact Adobe support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations.

  • Activate photoshop in new computer without deactivating in the old one?

    Hello,
My old computer is dead and I need to activate photoshop in my new computer without having deactivated in the old one. Do anybody know how to do it?

You are allowed to have two activated installations, so if you only ever had the one then there is nothing to keep you from activating a new installation.  If you would like to free up the inaccessible activation then you need to contact Adobe Support thru chat and ask them to reset your activations.

I have a store bought student version of CS6, which I have had on my old computer for the last 2 years. • How can synchronized local imap folders be migrated to a new computer, without new download from imap server, so that everything is working as before?

How can synchronized local imap folders be migrated to a new computer, without new download from imap server, so that everything is working as before?
I only managed to import synchronized folders (from old computer) to local folders in thunderbird at the new computer. Then I tried to move the messages to the folder of the imap account at the new computer where I temporarily limited the synchronization to one month. When I remove this limit the thunderbird program starts to redownload all the messages again nonetheless.
Since I have a dual boot system (Windows/Linux, thunderbird is installed twice) and have to pay for every megabyte, this is very annoying.

Have you considered using a shared profile folder for the dual boot? so the two remain in sync?v It will require a drive both operating systems can access, but most people who dual boot have such. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Moving_your_profile_folder_-_Thunderbird
otherwise copy the entire profile, not parts of it.

Hi Jenna,     You can download the trial versions from this below URL and use your serial number to activate it..    http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here. html Read the instructions before starting the download.
However, I'm afraid if CS3 is compatible on your new iMac. Adobe has not tested CS3 on New iMac. If it doesn't you can upgrade to CS6 within 31st of December, 2012. Regards,Jairaj

  • How do i sync my iphone to a new computer without it deleting everything off of my phone?

how can i sync my iphone to a new computer without it deleting eveything off of my phone?

Migrate the iTunes library the phone is sync-ed to, to the new computer.
Wouldn't you have done that anyway?

  • Syncing to new computer without loosing data

My dell computer has recently crashed, so I purchased a Mac mini hoping it would last. Now my problem is that I have to sync my iPad to my new computer, without loosing any data that I have made I have spent over a year using my iPad and would not be a happy camper if I lost my app data and music. So how would you sync it to do that? I know you can do it I have done it before I just forgot how to do it though.

You won't lose any apps or iTunes purchases since they are both linked to your Apple ID. As long as they are still available, you can simply download everything again.
If you had music on your iPad that was not purchased from Apple, then the only place it exists now is on your iPad. Copying it to your Mini requires third party software.
Read the following two links that address each one of these questions:
iTunes: How to move your music to a new computer (read the "transferring purchases" section):
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
Syncing to a new computer, crashed hard disk, no backup (this is for retaining your non-Apple music):
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141
If your Dell is "fried" its hard disk might still be readable. Buy an external enclosure for the drive and connect it to your Mac. There is a chance you might be able to transfer its iTunes Library to your new Mini using Migration Assistant.
If its hard disk crashed that might not be an option.

Can't get my Music off of my iPhone 4...
My computer died & had to get a new one, so now I cannot sync my iPhone 4 with the new computer, without losing all of my Music, because the only Music I have is on the iPhone 4 only, not on the computer. No Backup anywhere : (
If I choose to sync it tells me all of the Content that does not match the iTunes library on the computer will be erased, do you want to proceed & I have to say no.
How do I replace the music library on my Computer with the Music on the iPhone?
I got my pictures off because you can access them when you connect the iPhone using Windows 7 but you cannot see any of the music so you cannot access it when using windows so don't know what to do...
    Help...

The music sync is one way - computer to iphone.  The only exception is itunes purchases.  File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.  Use your backup copy to move everything to your new computer.

  • How do I switch my ipod to a new computer without losing all of my songs?

My computer just crashed and I bought a new one downloaded iTunes then plugged in my iPod to sync all of my content to my new comp. and it won't let me do it without erasing all of my content which I neglected to back up. How do I get my iPod's content onto my new computer without it being backed up?

Connect your iPod to your computer. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
The transfer of content from sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

TuneJack Windows Only (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only

iGadget Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
TouchCopy Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • How can I use a new computer without deleting everything on iPod?

    Hey Guys
I need a bit of help.
My old computer died, it was running Windows XP. I've got myself a new computer running Windows 7.
I have a copy of my iTunes folders from my old computer (taken 2 days before it died)
How can I use a new computer without deleting everything on iPod touch?
I've imported all the folders (music, apps etc) into the new computer's iTunes, but when I sync my iPod
I receive a window asking if i want to sync i need to erase and replace with the iTunes library on the computer.
I particularly don't want to do this.
My wife also uses my iTunes for her iPhone.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Make a backup of the iPod by connecting the iPod to the computer and right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and selecting Backup. Then restore the iPod from that backup and sync as necessary.

  • Is there a way to use ipod with new computer without erasing entire library

I'm not really tech-savvy, but I'm tossing my old computer and getting a new one - is there a way to use my ipod on my new computer without erasing my existing library? It won't let me make changes to my ipod and wants me to erase everything that is on there right now - HELP!

Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod.
