Hello,
There are two ways of doing this:
1. '''Firefox Sync''' - if you want to continue using both Windows and Mac versions of Firefox then you can use Firefox Sync to keep your bookmarks and other settings synchronised between the devices. See here for set up instructions: [[How do I set up Firefox Sync?]]
2. '''Export as html and import''' - if you want to move permanently from Windows to Mac then I think the cleanest thing would be to export the bookmarks from Windows to HTML. Follow these instructions: [[Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks]] then transfer the HTML file to your mac and import them into Firefox there. Follow these instructions for the import: [[Import Bookmarks from a HTML file]]
I hope that helps. Let me know if not.

How do I migrate bookmarks from one HD to another?
Windows XP became corrupted (?). It was cheaper to install another hard drive, and install windows on the new drive (backing up the original HD would cost more than the new HD did....) The old drive is easily accessed. How do I migrate Firefox bookmarks from the old HD to the new one?
This should explain how to grab one of the backup bookmarks file on the old drive.

How do I migrate bookmarks from Foxfire/PC to an iMac
I need to migrate all my bookmarks from my current PC to the new iMac I purchased.
Hey steveftw,
I'd suggest you use Firefox sync. This will allow you to syncronize all of your books across all of your different instances of Firefox. [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/what-firefox-sync?s=sync&r=0&as=s This article] will give you all the information you need to get it up and running.
You could also look at [[Exporting bookmarks to an HTML file]]. This would allow you to export the files on one computer and import then on another.
Hopefully this helps! -
I've followed the on-site directions for this migration ("migrate from another browser") but my only options via that route are Safari and Chrome.
Export bookmarks from camino using the instructions at http://caminobrowser.org/documentation/bookmarks/#export .
Then import the html file into firefox using the instructions in the [[Import Bookmarks from a HTML file]] article.
Does that fix the problem? -
Help needed to recover migrated bookmarks
Hi Everyone,
I am a new Safari user (formerly a PC person).
I accidentally deleted the bookmarks that I migrated from my old Dell PC. Unfortunately I did not back up my bookmarks. Is there a way to recover them?
Thank you.If the pictures on the iPad are in the camera roll and your mom has not imported them to her computer, or if she has not backed up the iPad with iCloud or iTunes, when you restore the iPad they will be erased and there is no way to save them.
If these are photos that she synced to the iPad from iTunes, she doesn't have to worry about losing the photos because they would still have to be on her computer somewhere - since that is where she would have synced them from.
So you need to find out if she backs up her iPad or if she did import them to the computer.
If she has no backup and the photos are not on the computer - her choices are restore the iPad and have a working device again and lose the photos - or keep the photos on an iPad that she can't use anyway and will not be able to get the photos no matter what she does.
Really seems like an easy choice if you think about it that way. -

How do I migrate bookmarks and passwords from Ubuntu to OS X.
My Ubuntu computer still boots but its hard disk may be dying. I want to migrate my profile settings from Ubuntu to OS X on my Mac. I copied my Ubuntu profile folder onto a thumb drive. Everything seemed to copy fine except for one symbolic link. I tried to copy the contents over the contents of the Apple Mac's profile folder, but it seems to have had no effect.
When you run Firefox on your Mac, a Firefox profile folder is created with default data and settings. You have to remove the '''contents''' of the new Firefox profile folder on your Mac (e.g., the bookmarkbackups folder, places.sqlite , cookies.sqlite, etc.) and then copy over the '''contents''' of your old Firefox [[Profiles|profile folder]] to the Mac profile folder. You should do this selectively, just copying important files (like places.sqlite for bookmarks and browsing history). [[Recovering important data from an old profile]] lists important files and explains how to transfer the data to the new profile on your Mac. [[Backing up your information]] explains where the old profile data is stored and how to save a copy.

Migrate bookmarks from old hard drive
My old iMac died. The OS was 10.5.8. I removed the internal HD and it needs to transfer to the new system under 10.8.4. I have been trying to locate my old bookmarks from the HD that was taken out from the old iMac but not successful. Please show me step-by-step procedure to locate the bookmarks and transfer them to the current FireFox that has been installed in new iMac, running 10.8.4.
MacOS X places your Firefox settings folder (your profile folder) in a hidden folder. For assistance in locating it, check out this thread: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/959332 How can I import my bookmarks from an old version of firefox].
Can you unhide the folder and find your bookmarkbackups folder?
Once you have that folder, check out this article: [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]]. -

Hi gurus,
I have implemented COPA but the data source in version 3.x. What would be the best way to migrate this into BI 7 version
Any way to migrate the transfer and update rule into transformation ?
Please advice
Thank youHi Sarvana,
Migration of COPA is not different then others.,
you need to follow below steps,
If the Dataflow is from Data source to DSO and DSO to Cube
1) Select DSO to Cube update rule and right click on
update rule > additional function > create transformation
This will copy and map all the objects with routine if exist and do
the syntax check once before activation
2)Then select the transfer rule from Data source to
DSO to do the same thing as above.
3) Then migrate the Data source , in this always select the u2018with exportu2019 option which will enable to revert back to 3.x version .. If needed
4)If from one data source many targets are getting updated then use infosource
5) Create DTP for all

Tried to migrate account to new phone w/o success
I set up Sync on my new phone using the old one. New phone still does not have bookmarks, etc. Tried removing the sync info and going through set up a new device a couple of times, but that did not work either.
Migrating bookmarks with sync with two android devices can be done with the steps below:
# Go to Settings > Sync > + add account
# Select Firefox Sync account
# Once verified, tap "Sync Now"
# or if its a new account add the deprecated firefox account and choose advanced setup. [[How do I add a device to Firefox Sync?]]
In order to manage what to sync in about:accounts in the newer version of sync, however this is not available for the old sync. [[How to update to the new Firefox Sync]]
