Migrating BW Administrative Users to BI

Hi Gurus,
Iam almost done migrating Reporting Users so my next task will be migrating Administrative users.
What stratergy can i follow to migrate the Administrative users like what are the main new objects(BI) other than DTP,Transformations to be added to the BW roles.
Any tips or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks
Padmaja.

HI Padmaja,
If you have migrated the Admin roles the same way you migrated the Reporting roles, then there should be no other thing left to do. (hopefully

  • HT4889 Question - administrator user name and password

    I have recently acquired an Imac to replace my elderly G4 and wish to transfer the G4 content to the Imac using Migration assistant.  The authentication box has opened on the G4 asking for my administrator user name and password but in a senior moment I find I cannot remember where they are.  Can anyone help me?

    Hello, peterandmo.
    Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
    Here are the steps that will walk you through changing an admin account password using another admin account.
    Resetting a user's password using an administrator account
    Important: Passwords for administrator accounts should not be blank.
    Log in with an administrator account. Tip: If you don't know the password of any administrator accounts, see "Resetting the original administrator account password" below.
    From the Apple menu choose System Preferences.
    From the View menu choose Users & Groups.
    Click the lock button if it appears locked; enter the administrator password.
    Select the name of the user whose password you want to change.
    Click the Reset Password button or the Change Password button.
    Enter a new password in both the New Password and Verify fields, and add a Password Hint if desired.
    Click the Reset Password button or the Change Password button.

  • Deleting administrator user account

    I used Migration Assistant to set up my new MacBook Pro with OSX 6.5. But, somehow in the process I set up a second administrator user account. I've now transferred everything to the proper administrator user account, but I can't figure out how to delete the now unneeded administrator user account.

    Welcome to Apple's discussion groups.
    Do you mean "OS X 10.6.4"?
    I can't figure out how to delete the now unneeded administrator user account.
    Launch System Preferences and open the Accounts panel. If the lock at the bottom is closed, click on it to authenticate. Select the account you want to delete. Click on the minus sign at the bottom of the column.

    the message at the log on screen about "The task you are trying to do can't be completed because Remote Desktop Services is currently busy. Please try again in a few minutes. Other users should still be able to log on."
    Now, nobody can't remote with administrator user into this server. I have check the application log. I found the error message like this.

    Hi,
    The cause of unable to remote back to the server seems to be services hung, please try to reset session as the article below guides to see if it works:

    If the issue can always be re-produced, then I would suggest you fully patch the system.

  • How can I migrate from one user to another within the same computer?

    My main user account in my desktop is becoming buggy after to many migrations from different computers and long time usage. I would like to migrate from one user to another user within the same computer to see if this improves my current problems.
    How can I do it in a reasonably safe and quick way?
    Thank you very much, cheers, Rui
    iMAC, OS 10.6.8... and yes, I love Snow Leopard light and handy... and all my programs work on it...

    Move small groups of files to the /Users/Shared/ folder or another location and see if the problems disappear. Moving everything to a new user account will in all probability transfer the problems.

  • WebLogic 10.3.0 WLI Domain - Microsoft AD administrator user access issue.

    Hi SOA Experts,
    We are facing issue of getting noaccess exception on console (below) when doing datasource testing using Microsoft AD administrator user. The same works fine when testing using WLS embedded LDAP administrator user in WLI domain. In plain WLS 10.3.0 domain (without WLI) with same Microsoft AD configuration they do not see this issue, they are able to successfully test data source using both embedded WLS administrator and Microsoft AD administrator user.
    I enabled security ATN and ATZ debug flags and below is my observation.
    In plain WLS 10.3.0 domain I see that default weblogic administrator user in embedded LDAP is part of administrators group. Microsoft AD administrator user is part of Administrators group from MS AD.
    Whereas in WLI domain I see that default weblogic administrator user is part of Administrators & IntegrationAdministrators groups. In WLI domain Administrators group is again part of IntegrationAdministrators group (below is debug logs).
    Below is Plain WLS Domain Debug log
    ####<Dec 6, 2010 5:20:14 PM EST> <Debug> <SecurityAtz> <slsol10> <AdminServer> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)
    '> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1291674014123> <BEA-000000> < Subject: 2
    Principal = weblogic.security.principal.WLSUserImpl("weblogic")
    Principal = weblogic.security.principal.WLSGroupImpl("Administrators")
    Below is WLI Domain Debug Log
    <> <1291669863989> <BEA-000000> <XACML Authorization isAccessAllowed(): input arguments:>
    ####<Dec 6, 2010 4:11:03 PM EST> <Debug> <SecurityAtz> <slsol10> <AdminServer> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '5' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <>

    Principal = weblogic.security.principal.WLSUserImpl("weblogic")
    Principal = weblogic.security.principal.WLSGroupImpl("Administrators")
    Principal = weblogic.security.principal.WLSGroupImpl("IntegrationAdministrators")
    The issue of Microsoft AD administrator user not able to test datasource in WLI domain seems to be happening because of IntegrationAdministrators group which comes by default with WLI domain (in plain WLS domain we do not have this group). Looks like the datasource which is being created in WLI domain seems to be being treated as WLI resource and user accessing it is being checked if it part of IntegrationAdministrators group. In this case weblogic default administrator user is part of IntegrationAdministrators, for which we do not see issue where as Microsoft AD administrator user which is not part of IntegrationAdministrators seems to be having problem.
    Below is snipper of Microsoft AD administrator user in Debug logs
    ####<Dec 6, 2010 4:13:31 PM EST> <Debug> <SecurityAtz> <slsol10> <AdminServer> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '4' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <>

    <> <1291670011687> <BEA-000000> < Subject: 2
    Principal = weblogic.security.principal.WLSUserImpl("MSADAdminUser")
    Principal = weblogic.security.principal.WLSGroupImpl("Administrators")
    Also one more observation about datasource which is created is in plain WLS & WLI domain created datasource resource type is shown as “jdbc” which is expected, but in addition in WLI domain I observe that created datasource resource type is marked as JMX and DS is being considered as application (below), not sure if this has something to do with the issue.
    Below is WLS domain debug log, below you can see that datasource is being treated as JDBC resource which is expected.
    ####<Dec 6, 2010 5:21:03 PM EST> <Debug> <SecurityAtz> <slsol10> <AdminServer> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '0' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1291674063776> <BEA-000000> <com.bea.common.security.internal.service.AccessDecisionServiceImpl.isAccessAllowed Resource=type=<jdbc>, application=, module=, resourceType=ConnectionPool, resource=testDS, action=reserve>
    Below is WLI domain debug log, below you can see that datasource is being treated as application and it says resource type as JMX
    ####<Dec 6, 2010 4:12:17 PM EST> <Debug> <SecurityAtz> <slsol10> <AdminServer> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '4' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <> <1291669937755> <BEA-000000> < Resource: type=<jmx>, operation=get, application=testDS, mbeanType=weblogic.j2ee.descriptor.wl.JDBCDataSourceBean, target=Name>
    I created user in embedded LDAP in WLI domain with same name as MS AD administrator user and assigned it to Administrators group, that obviously works but is not acceptable solution.
    Below is exception thrown on console when testing datasource using Microsoft AD administrator user.
    weblogic.management.NoAccessRuntimeException: Access not allowed for subject: principals=[MSADAdminUser, Administrators], on Resource weblogic.management.runtime.JDBCDataSourceRuntimeMBean Operation: invoke , Target: testPool at weblogic.rmi.internal.ServerRequest.sendReceive(ServerRequest.java:205) at weblogic.rmi.internal.BasicRemoteRef.invoke(BasicRemoteRef.java:222) at javax.management.remote.rmi.RMIConnectionImpl_1030_WLStub.invoke(Unknown Source) at javax.management.remote.rmi.RMIConnector$RemoteMBeanServerConnection.invoke(RMIConnector.java:978) at weblogic.management.jmx.MBeanServerInvocationHandler.doInvoke(MBeanServerInvocationHandler.java:544) at weblogic.management.jmx.MBeanServerInvocationHandler.invoke(MBeanServerInvocationHandler.java:380) at $Proxy92.testPool(Unknown Source) at com.bea.console.actions.jdbc.datasources.testjdbcdatasource.TestJDBCDataSource.begin(TestJDBCDataSource.java:114) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:39) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:25) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:597) at org.apache.beehive.netui.pageflow.FlowController.invokeActionMethod(FlowController.java:870) at org.apache.beehive.netui.pageflow.FlowController.getActionMethodForward(FlowController.java:809) at org.apache.beehive.netui.pageflow.FlowController.internalExecute(FlowController.java:478) at org.apache.beehive.netui.pageflow.PageFlowController.internalExecute(PageFlowController.java:306) at

    This issue has been resolved.
    The problem of Microsoft active directory administrator user not able to test the datasource in WLI domain is caused because of IntegrationAdministrators group & IntegrationAdmin role which comes in WLI domain. Assigning the Microsoft Administrator group to IntegrationAdmin role from WebLogic console has resolved the issue.
    Below are steps for assigning the MS AD administrator group to IntegrationAdmin role from console in WLI domain.
    ======================================================
    - Login to console and click on "Security Realms" and "myrealm"
    - Go to "Roles and Policies" tab and expand "Global Roles" tree and "Roles" tree view under it.
    - Click on "View Role Conditions" link for "IntegrationAdmin" role.
    - Click on "Add Conditions" button select Group (default) for "Predicate List" drop down box and click Next button.
    - Specify MS AD admin group name for "Group Argument Name" text box and hit on Add button.

    It's stays in the "deleting" but I can't cancel it or close the window.
    What can I do?

    Here are two screen shots to show you what I am seeing.  The first screen shot shows it allowing me to select (highlighted in blue) my admin user (which is what I am locced in as).  The second screen shot shows it allowing me to select the "Guest" user (highlighted in blue).  However when I click on the user "Orion" nothing happens.  It will not change to highlight that user.

  • 2012 R2 RBA: Remove / Delete buttons greyed out Administrative users account (sec role/scope) clean up

    I am seeing something odd with one of my RBA settings.  Keep in mind I am seeing this as a 'Full Administrator'.
    I created a new test Security scope, Security Role, created a test Active Directory group and then entered that AD group as a new account name under Security>Administrative users.  I added the new Security Role under the Security Roles tab of the
    Account name (Administrative users) properties and also added the security scope that I created under the Security Scopes tab.  I was able to see all the settings I had created/exported in the RBA viewer and everything with the role worked as desired.
    I am now looking to clean that up but I don't seem to be able to.  I am starting under Administrative Users>Account name and trying to unlink the Security Roles and Security Scopes that listed in those tabs.  However, remove and deletes on this
    stuff are all greyed out.  If I add another role to the Security Role tab I can then remove that, but I cannot remove this 1 particular one.  The result is that I cannot remove the custom Security Scope, Security Role and ultimately the Administrative
    user.
    Does anyone have any idea why I can't remove the security roles and scopes from the Account Name?

    I'm able to "delete" one admin user or group (account name) from Administrative users node (\Administration\Overview\Security\Accounts). I tried with custom security role/scope etc....even the same user was part of \Administration\Overview\Security\Accounts.
    It seems something wrong with your FULL admin account ? Do you've any other FULL Admin account? If so, can you try with that account?

  • App is getting damaged when I replace it as non-administrative user

    Hey people,
    When I want to update e.g. VLC Player, as an administrator, it is simple: I just download the dmg, mount it and drop the new version of the VLC.app into the Applications folder to replace the old VLC.app. Few days ago I created a new admin account and changed my old account  to normal user. If I want to install new software that I did not use before, everything works as expected: when I drop an .app package into the Applications folder, I need to type in the admin login and password to allow this operation, then the package will be copied and I can start the new app.
    My problem:
    If I want to update the software by replacing the app as non-administrative user, the system first will promt me to keep both files, replace an older one or to stop - so far so good. BUT, when I select to replace, the copying process actually begins before the administrator prompt and it results in corrupted file. I also tried to create a new user account. So then I need first to remove the broken app (admin prompt once again) and then to install the new one (3rd admin prompt).
    I attached some screenshots to visualize the issue. I have the same issue on two different macs with different  user/admin names. I hope you have any idea how can it be fixed.
    1. I download the package:
    2. Mount the package:
    3. Drag the VLC app to the Applications folder (selecting >Authenticate in the prompt)
    4. Copy prompt (>Replace):
    5. Authenticate with administrative user
    6. Error message:
    7. Corrupted file:

    Thanks, you helped me. I had gotten hung up on '--user = <vboxuser>' in the ExecStart line, which works for one of my other services, but not this one.

  • MacOSX AIR Permissions for non-administrator user folders

    We're making final changes to our installer for PowerPC Macs, which cannot get the fixes in Adobe AIR 2.7.
    What are the ownership AND permissions expected to be for normal Adobe AIR operation in the following user folders?
    ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AIR
    ~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/www.macromedia.com/
    /Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/Adobe
    We would like to know if it is advisable to apply the permissions fixes to user folders other than those under the administrator user. Neither the AIR Install Repair.zip posted on the forums nor the MacOSX Adobe AIR 2.7 Installer logs show that any user folders other than those under the administrator user are modified.
    Thanks for your advice.

    Hi,
    I don't believe you'll need to make adjustments to these folders.  Here's what mine are set to:
    /Users/chris/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AIR
    755 / owner:chris group:chris
    /Users/chris/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/www.macromedia.com
    755 / owner:chris group:chris
    /Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/Adobe
    755 / owner:chris group:wheel
    Fwiw, the reason we had to fix up permissions was due to beta versions of past Creative Suite installers (the shipping installers were corrected.)  As far as I know, the only folders effected were the ones we corrected in the installer and I addressed in the script.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hi,
    According to the description, I understand that the above error message was thrown out
    when inserting data into 'MSpeer_lsns' table.
    Check if the identity column in the 'MSpeer_lsns' table was configured for NOT FOR REPLICATION. If so, turn it off by using T-SQL statement.
    ALTER TABLE [table_name]
    ALTER COLUMN [column_name]
    DROP NOT For replication

  • Performance Tuning for non Administrator users

    Hi,
    Since i had performance issue on my cube i have followed tutorial:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe_bi/bi_ee_1013/aggpersist/aggpersist.htm
    to obtain best performance using aggregate tables.
    All works, but opening NQSQuery.log i've seen that only Administrator User uses aggregate tables, and not other users. In fact:
    Administrator User:
    WITH
    SAWITH0 AS (select sum(T209.SPESA_PRES0000004A) as c1,
    T202.Sesso00000057 as c2
    from
    SA_Nominat00000090 T202, (Aggregated table)
    ag_Fatti T209 (Aggregated table)
    where ( T202.Nominativo0000005F = T209.Nominativo0000005F )
    group by T202.Sesso00000057)
    select distinct SAWITH0.c2 as c1,
    SAWITH0.c1 as c2
    from
    SAWITH0
    Other user:
    WITH
    SAWITH0 AS (select sum(T32.SPESA_PRESCRITTA) as c1,
    T32.ASSISTITO__SESSO_LVLDSC as c2,
    T32.TEMPO_DIM_ANNO_LVLDSC as c3
    from
    STORDO_CUBE_CUBEVIEW T32
    where ( T32.TEMPO_DIM_LEVEL = 'ANNO' and T32.ASSISTITO__LEVEL = 'SESSO' )
    group by T32.TEMPO_DIM_ANNO_LVLDSC, T32.ASSISTITO__SESSO_LVLDSC)
    select distinct SAWITH0.c2 as c1,
    SAWITH0.c3 as c2,
    SAWITH0.c1 as c3
    from
    SAWITH0
    How can I do to obtain a query similar even for a non Administrator User?
    However, in your opinion, to have a TOTAL level for all dimensions, can me help to improve performances?
    p.s. In addition, aggregate measure value is wrong. It's 900, but it must be 300, infact the total of all rows in fact table is 300 and not 900. In this way, even the report result is wrong!!! Why?
    Thanks

    Hi daqstudent,
    What versions of Windows (with service packs), LabVIEW, and the DAQmx
    drivers do you have?  It looks like this issue should have been
    fixed in DAQmx version 7.4.  As a work-around, you should be able
    to use the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) to create
    DAQmx Global Channels, and then use those saved Global Channels in LabVIEW. The
    configuration for DAQmx Global Channels in MAX is the same as that of
    the DAQ Assistant in LabVIEW. The only experience lost is seeing the
    actual DAQ Assistant icon in LabVIEW.

  • Administrative user can't access other accounts or delete remote login

    I have the administrative user account on my iMac at home. My daughter can't remember the new password I assigned her and needs me to change it. When I log into system preferences/accounts, it shows that I am the administrative user. However, when I try to access her account or the Guest account on the computer they are gray and I can't select them. I can't add any new accounts or delete any existing ones either.
    I also noticed that remote login SSH is turned on. I tried to uncheck that box multiple times but my iMac just freezes. I have to force quit system preferences.
    Any ideas on how I fix this?

    I enabled the root user. While now I can access the elements that were greyed out before, when I attempt to change something my Mac will freeze and just show the color wheel when I attempt to do something with the mouse. If I go up to the menu and pick Force Quit, the list shows System Preferences (the ap has stopped responding). I've shut system preferences with a force quit, rebooted several times and tried again but the same thing happens every time.
    I also can't get it to read a disc so I can't even reboot from my Mac OS system disc to do an archive and reinstall. Does it sound like my system, hardware or both? Is it something that I bundle off my iMac to a Mac Genius to fix?
    If this was a PC, I would swear that I had a virus.

    The role has  S_RS_COMP and S_RS_COMP1 are Reporting Users. Moreover, the role has Reporting Users S_RS_ADMIWB, S_RS_IOBJ, S_RS_ISOUR, S_RS_ISRCM and S_RS_MRPO
    Thank for your help,
    Luis

    se16-->AGR_HIER
    AGR_* will be tables for Roles. Tables SMEN_* are for user favorites.
    You can find the information you want in table AGR_HIER.
    In this table you can select the role,
    In the field REPORT, select RRMX ,this will show you all roles with their workbooks.
    AGR_NAME = ROLE (technical name)
    REPORT= RRMX
    Hope it Helps
