Hi Friends,
I have a task where i need to replicate/migrate objects under specific InfoArea/s from one BW system to another BW system. Please suggest me the ways this can be done. Thanks in advance for all the help.

Hi
to transfer the data is easy, use flat files or you can export the DS in the source sys and then load it in the target sys (the easiest way).
to transfer structores look at these:

Migrate PY and TM cluster data from One SAP System to another
Hi Experts,
Could you please suggest me some options to migrate PY and TM cluster data from One SAP System to another? My requirement is to move all the cluster data (Active and Inactive ees).
I see that PU12 is an option. Anybody used that to migrate between SAP systems. Please provide some details
Points guaranteed
I see that using PU12 you can export only PCL2 Clutsers. Are there any ways to move the other clusters like PCL4 ?Hi,
As far as data transfer, If have all normal configuration settings in your targeted system you can use LSMW (Use T.code AS91 in LSMW for recording) to transfer your data in your both cases.
Hope it resolves your both the issues.

Tool to transfer data from one CRM system to another
Hi,
We are merging one CRM system into another and need to transfer master data and transactions from one CRM system into the another. What are the options/tools that are available for data migration in CRM 7.0?
Please share experiences/thoughts if you have moved data into SAP CRM from legacy/other SAP CRM systems.
Regards
DanHi Dan,
Looking at your post - I decipher that you would be doing download from a lower version of SAP CRM system to SAP CRM 7 if this is the scenario then you have an advantage as you could employ standard SAP CRM middleware which is a powerful application to download master data from older version to new version, or else you could ALE the master data. Now this being the simple part we move on to the harder part of the migration which is transactional data - namely elements such as Number ranges, document flow, relationships, condition data tables .....etc if you are migrating this from lower SAP CRM version here you would have to understand the interlinking with R/3 or ECC6 in any case you would have to do a fresh implementations but on the whole there are some way outs for examples ; But still let me know how you intend to migrate and what are systems we are talking about.

Push data from one BW system to another BW system
Hi:
I am aware of the process using export datasources to pull data from one BW (source) system into another BW (receiving) system. But is there a way/process where by the source BW system can push the data to the receiving BW system? ThxHi:
If you don't get any better replies, think about Triggering Events from SOurce BW and these events will start the Pull from Target BW.
E.g., Create P-Chains or ABAP Programs in Source BW. Here, whenever data needs to be pushed, an Event will be triggered in Target BW.
In target BW, that raised Event will kickoff Process Chains, ec.
Let me know if you want to ivestigate this option.

Improving performance on migrating data from one Oracle database to another
We are using hibernate to migrate complete tables from one database to the other. This takes hours to days to transfer a couple of tables, all having relationships between each other. The only difference is that the new tables have an extra column which stores the primary key of the source table as an alias key in the destination table and the destination table has only one extra column which is its own primary key. Another small difference is that the name of the columns is a little different.
Isn't there a simple way to use Oracle database's in built tools to migrate data if provided the source and destination tables and column names for mapping purposes? Please provide some suggestions for this Oracle newbie. Any other suggestions on improving the migration performance will be greatly appreciated.
Suggestions please!!!Hello Justin,
Thanks for your prompt reply. Ours is a small company so we take up all kinda roles. In this particular scenario, I was asked to migrate all the tables from one database to another. Both of the databases are present on two different machines but on the same network. There are about 100,000 records in some of the tables and there are about 50 tables to migrate. As I said, both the tables have different columns to be mapped and then transferred and the new table has only one extra column which is a primary key in the new table. Under these constraints, Hibernate is taking way too much time.
I always felt that there must be a simpler and efficient way to do this. I would appreciate if you could you explain me the procedures in detail please.
Thanks in advance. -
Is there a way to migrate data from one user account to another simply?
Recently one of our employees has left the company. This user had pertinent images saved to their profile and we are needing to migrate those images to a new profile (Kiosk) so users can access the needed files. In InDesign I'm told it pulls file paths in order to pull up different images and documents. Is there a way to transfer these files without breaking InDesign? Or is there a simple way to recreate the file paths in InDesign so that we may move the user's information to a new account and recreate the file paths as soon as possible.
I was referred here from - http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1397569It would be through scripting. If no one else answers here, try using the InDesign Scripting forum:

Data transfer from one BW system to another
As there are, at least theoretically, a myriad of ways to push data from one BW system to another, I was wondering if anyone had some key thoughts or experiences to share. I see that OpenHub/InfoSpoke and the Data Mart Interface / Export DataSources seem to be the main methods of choice.
What are the differences, and what are the key points to consider between these two or other recommended ways (for BW3.5)?
Thanks in advance,
ThomasHi,
In the all the data transfer between SAP systems RFC is the best option.
Just create a source system for the new BW system and it will work.
Thanks

Migration of Planned Orders from one SAP system to another one
Hi,
A quick help needed.
We are migrating SAP data from one SAP system to other due to business split. Regarding PP data, can Planned orders be migrated as it is from one SAP System to another? What is the impact if we do so?
Appreciate your response.
Kind Regards,
tanujihi ,
As suggested , you can propose to migrate only Firmed Planned orders from SAP to SAP system .
How to acheive it ?
You can use below BAPI to extract details of planned order from Table PLAF and upload in TARGET SYSTEM
BAPI_PLANNEDORDER_CREATE
Please note newly created Planned order in Target system would not have BOM EXPLOSION and Scheduling .
If need , Make a BDC recording as a add on step to explode Bom and Schedule by clicking those icons in Planned order .
Technical Team can do this . -
Migrate Closed Sales Data from one SAP system to Other
Hi,
We have a requirement to migrate Closed Sales Order data from one SAP System to the New SAP system.
Please share your thoughts on the considerations / DOs and Donts for such cases.
Appreciate your response.
Kind Regards,
TanujiHi,
If you want to migrate closed SOs..then first consider why? and from what date i.e how long back?
Following are the considerations:
1) You can't get the creation date same as your previous system dates--this might lead to incorrect reporting. So you'll have to check if its really worth?
2) You might want to have a reference no somewhere in the new transactions from the previous system.
3) If you want to migrate the deliveries, invoices then you've to consider also GL migration as well as payments.

Using FDM to transfer data from one HFM app to another
We are facing a project in which we need to load data from one HFM app to another. There're some mapping going so it was advised that FDM be used.
However, the HFM extract files contain all data on the rows. While for the FDM multiload, the data from different periods need to be layed out on the columns. Also, we have multiple scenarios/years of data to handle. What would be the best approach? Has anyone had similar experience to load data from one HFM app to another using FDM? Thanks! It appears that this is some kind of migration project due to the scope of the data contained in the single file? If so whatever you do is like ly to be trow away once the migration of data is completed.
You have a couple of options:
1) Get the data extracted from HFM in multiple files instead of one bulk file, broken down by scanario, year & period
2) Take the single data dump file produced by FDM and manipulate it yourself to get the data in a more usuable format for processing through FDM.
Option 2 could be achieved via any ETL tool or a custom file parsing script. What may be more attractive to you and allow you to fully leverage your investment in FDM is that you could use the PULL adapter that ships as part of the FDM adapter suite to perform this transformation exercise. The PULL adapter takes a flat file input and allows you to use all the in built functionality of FDM to transform it and output a modified flat file (or series of flat files). You could use it to produce multioload files or a series of files broken down by scenario, year, period.
Whatever you do I would suggest that break the single data file down into smaller chunks as this will help with the iterative debugging process you will inevitably have to undetake whislt migrating the data to the new application. -
Fetching data from one BI server to another
Hi All,
We have BCS environment on top of BI. We have a request from Client to refresh the BCS data in our quality box (copy of BCS production data). Data wasn't refreshed to our Quality system regularly from SAP Quality and hence we thought of complete BI Production copy to our Quality box.
Since the above strategy is time consuming,we have been contemplating on other options and have stumbled upon SAP blog http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/21489. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
The blog talks about pulling data from one BI server to another. As BCS is such a fragile environment, wanted to take an opinion on whether you all see any concerns with the approach.
Regards,
Vivek Das GuptaHi,
W have done the system copy from production to QA system and only faced authorization issues and also we follwed the same blog and as mentioned in the blog dont forget below points before going ahead for the system copy.
switch the source Real Time Infocube (in MBP) if you want to copy all latest productive data, that is to say including those which were contained in the open request.
For data consistency reasons and to avoid any risk of error, the loading process is executed in Full.
If you planning to copy only a part of the source data records, set filters in the infopackages.
Hope it going help you

Redirect EDI PO's from one SAP system to another
Hi Guys,
I have a requirement wherein we have to redirect EDI PO's from one SAP system to another. What should my approach be? Since both the systems have the PO's setup, how can I differentiate the logic in such a way that latest system where we're migrating the code behaves in a same way as it is currently doing in two systems. I hope I didn't confuse you
PrineetI might be not the only one unable to understand the question - what are you asking exactly? To my knowledge, it's not possible in SAP to simply route the IDocs from one system to another - you'd need to map your EDI middleware to the correct system. But migrating the code is something completely different. So what is the question?

Transferring Development from One SAP system to another?
I was wondering if it was possible to transfer an entire Package or a Transport with its development contents from one SAP system to another?
It would be preferred if the method doesn't require connectivity, like for example to be able to export everything in a package to an XML-file that could be imported into an empty package on another system.
It would need to handle all development parts, such as Reports, Function Modules, Classes, Special Classes (such as Exception Classes), Shared Objects and Persistent Objects (Yes, I like objects ), Unit Tests, Data Dictionary definitions for tables, table types, structures, data elements and so forth.
It this in any way possible?Hi
I believe u can only create a request containing all abap object of the package: u can do it by SE80.
After releasing the request u need to pick up the data file and the cofile and past these files to the target system.
So u can add and then import the your request in the queue of the development of the target system by trx STMS.
Probably u need to ask a little help to your basis in order to copy and past the files from and to SAP server (I don't know if you've the authorizations).
The name of datafile is like D<request number>.<system id>
and the path
/usr/sap/trans/<SYSTEM ID>/data
the cofile name is K<request number>.<system id>
and the path
/usr/sap/trans/<SYSTEM ID>/cofile
