  • How to create paragraph format in smartforms

    Hi All,
Let me know how to create paragraph format in smartforms?
    Thanks&Regards
    Mahesh

    Hi
    When we create a smartform we can see in <b>global settings</b> , <b>form attributes</b>.
In <b>form attributes</b> we set the over all style of the smartform. Goto <b>form attributes</b> and open the tab <b>output options</b>. Here you can see the <b>Style box</b>. In this style box we enter the smartstyle created in transaction code <b>smartstyles</b>.
    Open transaction <b>smartstyles</b>.
    Create a new style.
Upon creating a new style you will see 3 folder structures under style name.
    1. Header data
    2. Paragraph format
    3. Character format
To create paragraph format right click on the paragraph format node and click Create Node. Give it name. Now you will get a screen with 4 tabs.
    Indents and spacing
    Fonts
    Tabs
    Numbering and outline
Here you can provide the look you want.
Now add this smartstyle in your smartform's form attribute.
You can also provide individual smartstyles to each text element you create by giving the name of smartstyle in its output options tab. Each text element has a individual output option tab here you can give any smartstyle.
Click on the general attribute tab of any text element and give the paragraph format directly or by going to SAPScript editor mode.
Any more questions you can ask me directly mailing me.

  • Sapscript - Paragraph Format - Tab space Issue

    Hello Experts,
I'm facing issue with the Tab Space Alignment in the Paragraph Format.
I'm giving these values for a Paragraph Format Tabs:
    Tab  Position:
    1: 0,10 CH
    2 :3,50CH
    3: 6,50CH
    12: 76,00CH
Inspite of reducing the TAB position for 5th Tab; it is still aligning a bit far.
And whenever the Description (Field 3) is longer; all the Values are pushing towards right.
Alignment is not getting adjusted. How can I make this as Fixed?
    Here's the screenshot:
    Please advise.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sowmya

    Hi,
For Standard Text, Paragraph format will be applicable from Standard Styles which will be creating in Transaction code SE72 and apply that Paragraph Format to Text in Standard Text transaction code SO10 then the Paragraph format will be applicable. And transport the Created Style in SE72 to Quality and Production Systems.
Apply the Created Paragraph format created in SE72 to text by below steps:
So10>Provide text>Click on CHANGE>Click on MENU FORMAT>Change Style->Double click on STYLE created in SE72-->Apply the newly created Paragraph Format to text in So10

  • What table stores the SAPscript paragraph formats for a form.

Does anyone know where the paragraph formats are stored for a SAPscript form.  I can view them using SE71, but what I am looking for is the table where all this information is stored.
    Thanks.

    Hi Bill,
    Check table "DOKHL" .
    ID = 'DE' (Paragraph ID)
    LANGU = SY-LANGU
    OBJECT = 'TDPARAGRAPH'.
    TYP = 'E'.
    *------Sample code -
          SELECT SINGLE *
            FROM  DOKHL
            WHERE LANGU      = LANGU
AND   ID         = ID    "Paragraph ID"
AND   OBJECT     = OBJECT      "value :TDPARAGRAPH"

  • SAPscript paragraph format question

I have a paragraph format called 'ZX' in first sapscript. I am able to enter into graphical PC editor in this sapscript. I am using this paragraph format while defining a address in one window.
I also have the same paragraph format 'ZX' in a second sapscript and using it for defining a address. When I tried entering into graphical PC editor for this second sapscript, it says 'Unknown paragraph format ZX' !
Is there any place where we have to assign paragraph format to the sapscripts? I am confused why this error is coming for the second sapscript.
Thanks in advance for your input,
    Krishen

I Guess You have to define the paragraph format for the second script in the second script only..I dont think you can use the pragraph format of one script in the other.

  • Convert FrameMaker paragraph formats to RoboHelp styles

This question was posted in response to the following article: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/robohelp/robohtml/WS12199CA1-968E-4a9b-9927-ED490DF6B87E.html

Thank you Jeff for a specific reply.
First, let me respond to, "Nobody else seems to be having any issue with this."
In the TechComm Central blog post, "Troubleshooting FrameMaker Content Conversion in RoboHelp Part 1," Mayank Agrawal, the author, says, "Many times, I hear from users that it appears as if Robohelp is not applying FrameMaker conversion settings or eating up the imported .isf settings."  So, what we are seeing is not unique to us.  However, we follow Mayank's steps, and the FrameMaker paragraph styles are still getting lost somewhere.
Second, we have the standard FrameMaker paragraph styles.  For example, this is the content we see in WebHelp that has been published from RoboHelp, along with the FrameMaker paragraph style enclosed in square brackets. (Nothing is indented in WebHelp, but everyone looks fine in FrameMaker.)
    1. This is the first step. [FM: List Number 1]
This is an indent that is not indented. [FM: Indent]
    2. This is the second step. [FM: List Number +]
o This is a bullet that is supposed to be indented a bit. [FM: Bullet 1]
o This is another bullet that is supposed to be indented. [FM: Bullet 1]
    3. This is the third step. [FM: List Number +]
    a) This is an alpha list that is supposed to be indented. [FM: List Alpha 1]
    b) This is another alpha list that is supposed to be indented. [FM: List Alpha +]
o This is supposed to be a bullet 2 indented even more. [FM: Bullet 2]
o This is another bullet 2 that is supposed to be indented,
and the text wrap for all styles in this example comes to the left margin. [FM: Bullet 2]
This is supposed to be a 3rd level indent. [FM: Indent 3]
Again, everything looks great in FrameMaker.  However, FrameMaker does not appear to be automatically handing off ANY paragraph style formatting information to RoboHelp.  And when we attempt to manually set the styles in the ISF file, the WebHelp generated from RoboHelp does not appear to retain the manually-set formats.

  • TABS in paragraph format

    Hi experts,
I am working on script.I have to display the output in below format
    LABEL
       FIELD1
       FIELD2
I have created one window and assigned it to one paragraph format but my out put is not coming in desired format.please clarify how to use TAB in a paragraph, what is the meaning of ,,
    Thanks in advance

    Hi abhishek,
    USE of Tabs:
The use of Tabs in Paragraph format is to separate the two texts. Suppose see for paragraph format P1, the tab space u have assigned is say suppose 5cms.
In the script, consider in any of the window you have given like
    P1     Text1,,Text2
    In the Form Output,
the Space between text1 and text2 will be 5cms like given below:
    Text1                Text2.
So here ,, will take the value 5cms which comes from the paragraph format p1. Suppose u didnt give any paragraph format and given tab as given below:
        Text1,,Text2
Here ,, will take the normal tab space value.
    Solution for your Question:
To print in the below format:
    Label1
    Field1
    Field2
give the code in the se71 as given below:
      Label1
      &wa_f1&
      &wa_f2&
Please if you got any more douts, reply back.
    Please Reward Points if useful.

  • Smartform Style paragraph formats - Number Chaining not working

    Hi
I have created two paragraph formats L1 (level 1) and L2 (level 2). L1 is the top outline paragraph and L2 is its child. They both have a list numbering type of 1, 2, 3, ...  I have tried ticking the Number Chaining radio button on L1 & L2, and on just L2, but can't get the L2 to output with L1's number.
    I.e.
    Should be:
    1  TESTL1
    1.1 TESTL2
    Outputs as:
    1  TESTL1
    .1 TESTL2
Also after an L2 occurs the numbering is restarted, for example.
    Should be:
    1  TESTL1
    1.1 TESTL2
    1.2 TESTL2
    2. TESTL1
    2.1 TESTL2
    Outputs as:
    1  TESTL1
    .1 TESTL2
    .2 TESTL2
    1 TESTL1
Any ideas, I have tried various ways but no success.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Daniel

    Hi
Solved. The problem is just a visual one. When you look at the output in the Text tab of the Text Module the output is incorrect. When you output through print preview etc, it is output correctly.
    Bug for SAP to fix.

  • Migration of SAPscripts to smartforms and its advantages

    Hi Folks,
Can we convert a SAPscript into PDF and send it in mail as an attachment like what we do using smartform. Folks could you please provide me some knowledge which will help me preparing a document for the client to convience them how using smartforms is always better than using a sapscript and they should migrate all the SAPscript to the smartform.
    Thanks & reagrds,

    Advantages of smartforms,
SAP Smart Forms have the following advantages:
    1. The adaption of forms is supported to a large extent by graphic tools for layout and logic, so that no programming knowledge is necessary (at least 90% of all adjustments). Therefore, power user forms can also make configurations for your business processes with data from an SAP system. Consultants are only required in special cases.
    2. Displaying table structures (dynamic framing of texts)
    3. Output of background graphics, for form design in particular the use of templates which were scanned.
    4. Colored output of texts
    5. User-friendly and integrated Form Painter for the graphical design of forms
    6. Graphical Table Painter for drawing tables
    7. Reusing Font and paragraph formats in forms (Smart Styles)
    8. Data interface in XML format (XML for Smart Forms, in short XSF)
    9. Form translation is supported by standard translation tools
    10. Flexible reuse of text modules
    11. HTML output of forms (Basis release 6.10)
    12. Interactive Web forms with input fields, pushbuttons, radio buttons, etc. (Basis-Release 6.10)

  • Converting SAPSCRIPT Styles to SMARTFORM Styles?

    Three questions:
    1) How do I find the SAPSCRIPT STYLE that was used for an older original SAPSCRIPT that I converted to a SMARTFORM?
    2) Once I run SMARTSTYLES conversion will all the text output in the new converted SMARTFORM be automatically formatted correctly?
3)Should I have converted the style before converting the form?
It seems too easy, but I am having trouble finding the style of the original SAPSCRIPT form to convert to SMARTFORMS. Of course a lot of my output is misaligned.
        Thank-You.

Hello Amit and Thank-You. I am beggining to believe that converting SAPSCRIPT to SMARTFORM may not always be worth the effort. We have many old SAPSCRIPT programs, that are full of unstyled character and paragraph formats, that would all need to be checked. because it looks like the formats do not always migrate, because they are not defined i the new SMARTFORM?
    Would you agree?

  • Smartforms - Paragraph format keeps resetting itself

    Hi,
I've set the styles sheet to be one of own on the smartform but when I go into a text element, highlight the text (in new word-style editor) and select the paragraph setting (I see the text change to the new font, size etc), press save and then look again at the text element, the setting has reverted to the *Default Paragraph.
I've tried setting the style sheet directly on the text element but it doesn't work.  I've also tried changing the editor to be the old sapscript one so I can enter the 2 digit paragraph format in myself but I get the message "Style xxxx not available" where xxx if the name of my style sheet.
    Any ideas?
    Gill

    Hi,
Mention the style name in the Form Attributes in the top in its Output Options.
Then delete the text node and create again.

  • For SAPscript INCLUDE TEXT, how to align as Paragraph format

    Hi experts and ABAP colleagues!
Need your help on this sapscript problem:
How to align texts taken from "INCLUDE TEXT" in SAPscript, according to tab defined in Paragraph Format?
For example, I defined BG to have tabstop at the 2nd column (or equivalent to 1st tab position) where I need to print the text, and then declared it in SE71 like below:
However the text prints at the leftmost instead of at the 2nd col position - (8th char tab defined in par. format BG).  Hence it is not aligned to its proper heading.  Line Number instead of Description - which is not okay for client view that needs these Thai texts.
The technical details I included below.  Kindly examine:
1.)  Window >Main > Text Element > Include Text command
    /E   ITEM_TEXT
    BG   ,,&TTXIT-TDTEXT&
    /:   INCLUDE &T166P-TXNAM& OBJECT &T166P-TDOBJECT& ID &T166P-TDID&
    /:   NEW-PARAGRAPH BG
Note:  I used command "NEW-PARAGRAPH" and had exactly the above code in se71.  Anything missed here?  Pls. help.  Thanks.
    #2.) Paragraph Format > Tab
    No. -
      Tab Position -
    Alignment
    1            8,00 CH            LEFT
    2            28,00 CH          CENTER
    etc.
Note:   and then i put in  ",,&TTXIT-TDTEXT&" (see above) with the 2 comma's beforehand to say that its on the 1st tab or at the 8th character where it should be printed, but does not give intended result... pls help.
#3.) Paragraph Formats > Standard Attributes
    Left Margin - 0 cm
    Alignment - Left
no blank lines checkbox - ticked
Note:  Is there any more attribute i can manipulate from here to force display at the right position?
Thank you so much in advance for all your help.  Our project team will really appreciate it.  May the Lord bless you as we go through our SAP work!
    Sincerely,
    Celeste

Here's a thought, instead of using tabs, try writing a method that takes a string that is the starting string, a pad character, and a length and returns a string padded to that length with the specified character.
public String padR(String src, String padChar, int len)
// ... You get to fill in the rest suggestion try to do it without a loop
    }Have fun,
    PS.

  • Problem in creating new/changing paragraph format in sapscript

    hi,
i am developing new sapscript form
    based on standard sapscript : SD_PICK_SINGLE .
The problem is that I neither can't create new paragraph format in se71
for this form nor change an exist paragrapf format .
does anyone encountered such a problem
and can help me solve it ?
    ami

    Hi,
You have copied the Standard Sapscript, but i think you have not converted the Original Language "DE", as the standard one will be in "DE", so it is not allowing you to create new paragraph format or any changes.
Open the copied Zform in DE language, Click on Menu> Utilities> Convert original language,
          Give From = DE
                  To    = EN
Save and Open the Same Zform in EN language and do any modification.

  • Style : paragraph format

In Smartforms,  I am using two text of different font and size. I make a style ,where we define a paragraph format which is p1 and p2 .  the two paragraph format is used in Smartforms text.
But the exact problem is the p2 option is not generated.  Only p1 works in smartforms text.
    may this problem solve it.
    please help me .

    Hello,
You must create both the paragraph format in one smartstyle, say for example, ZSTYLE1. Now open your smartform. Go to 'Output Options' tab and include the smartstyle name.
    Hope it helps.

    Saba

  • Change VL70 to Smartform (from SapScript)

I need to change the form output on VL70 from SapScript to SmartForm.  I converted the SAPscript to a SmartForm but I can't figure out where the SAPscript is being called from to call the new SmartForm.  If anybody could give me some assistance I would be grateful.
    Regards,
    Davis

    Hi,
Sap script will have a Driver program, and this both Driver program and Script will be configured in the NACE transaction, so for this smartform you need a Driver program to call the Smartform(Generate the function module and call the function module) ..
