Migrating from standalone ITS to internal ITS u0096 copy existing templates

Dear Sirs,
I am in the process of migrating from Standalone ITS to the internal one. I have found several documents on the issue and the help section for the migration, http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/cd/8a424089ff2571e10000000a155106/content.htm
Currently I am using a standalone ITS server, 6.20 PL13, to access/run IAC components on ERP2004 server ZXY. In the new setup I wan to run the internal ITS on server ZXY instead.
I have however a question regarding the process. Step one in the process is to Copy the existing templates.
If I enter the transaction SE80, I am not able to see all of the IAC component names which are referenced in my portal iViews.  I therefore assume that the ones which does not show up, has not been converted properly.
I therefore go into transaction SIAC1 to look for them there (as described in ITS – New storage structures as of Web SAP AS 6.40, 678904), but I am however unable to find them there either.
Do I have to go the current ITS server and somehow copy the files/IAC manually (save on disk), and then upload then with SIAC_UPLOAD (from se38) onto the R/3 system. Or do they exist already on my R/3 system just that they aren’t shown?
Could a solution be that the name of the IAC component in the portal iview, differs from the name actually used in the R/3 system.
Any pointers or hints on this issue are appreciated.
Best regards,
Jørgen

Deepak Sharma,
Thank you for your reply. But I have already published the services internally and actually have used the 'webgui' service successfully.  What I am trying to do now is to copy the custom services (there are only 2) to the integrated ITS from my standalone ITS server.

we have migrated our Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2 UR1 installatin from a standalone machine to a clustered version.

    - installed vmm into cluster and pointed to existing database.

    Hi,
    nope, we solved it.
It seems that this behavior occurs only under special circumstances.
    Scenario is:
    1. RDP Gateway connection to our Hyper-V Hosts (We need it for our Windows Azure Pack installation). A certificate is needed to encrypt the connection between RDPGW and Hyper-V host. This certificate is distributed by the VMM to the Hyper-V Hosts with the
    private key.
    2. Migrating from standalone installation to High Availability therefore migrating from DPAPI to DKM
It looks like that the key or the password to unencrypt the private key, which is stored in the database, is itself stored in the DPAI/DKM.
So when you try to get the migrated Service online the error report in my first post is generated.
What we did was fiddeling around in the database. Make sure you have a backup !!
    You need two tables:
    tbl_ADHC_Host
    tbl_VMM_CertificateStore
    1. Go to the table "tbl_ADHC_Host" and edit the key fk_ADHC_Host_VMM_CertificateStore and set "Enfore Foreign Key Constraint" to "No".
    2. get the value "VMConnectCertficateID" from the table "tbl_ADHC_Host"
    3. Go to the table "tbl_VMM_CertificateStore" and delete the Certficate with the value which equals the "VMConnectCertificateID". Note: Corresponding Certificate in the CErtificatestore table should have something in the column "PrivatekeyPassword"
    and an ObjectType of 6.
    4. The service should now start and you can reconfigure the certificate used for the encryption between your RDPGW and Hyper-V Hosts, like you did before.
    5.  Go to the table "tbl_ADHC_Host" and edit the key fk_ADHC_Host_VMM_CertificateStore and set "Enfore Foreign Key Constraint" back to "Yes".
    Hope that helps. ;)

    Marcus

  • Migrating from standalone server to Open LDAP

We have 10.4.10 server that serves DNS, MAIL and WEB only. It is set up as a standalone server and we would like to migrate (convert) it to a an LDAP server, master, I would assume.
Is there a best practices guide step by step for doing this?
Or any caveats from others that have made this conversion?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

As far as what LDAP gives me, we need the directory to provide users to a spam appliance. From there, we're implementing Kerberos for the organization to unify access and passwords.
I did somewhat successfully change the server from standalone to OD. I say somewhat because this is a test machine and the DNS was a little off. Once I corrected the issues, though, and did a bit of reading, I changed it to a standalone back to a OD again, it works well.
However: and this has to do with the user import and export, I understand that exporting from the localNode will not preserve passwords: fine. I can re-enter the passwords. But when I re-import them to the LDAP directory node, choosing to OVERWRITE the existing users, it does not delete them from the localNode. This may be because the overwrite applies to the current node (though they still have the same ID).
So then, I assume I can delete the localNode users since they are no longer needed and will screw up the search tree (localNode, then LDAP,...). But doing that deletes any mail they had. No matter if you turn off the mail for that user, turn off the mail services, the mail gets deleted when the user gets deleted.
Obviously this is a problem since the same user is using the mail store fomr the same user account now in the LDAP node.
So how do I get the users' mail to stay there once the user is in the LDAP directory node? I am experimenting with backing up and restoring the mail to the directory, but I have 35G of it. And cyrus gets a little funky when it's databases are out of synch...
    Thanks...

  • Migrating from G4 with multiple internal drives

i'm trying to migrate from my old G4 to my new Mac Pro. I have only 1 monitor so I can only 'see' the new computer. I have connected both machines and restart holding down the 'T' key. Since I can't 'see' the old machine to tell when the firewire logo disappears i hold down the key till I see the start up disk appear on the desktop. Up till this point everything seems fine but none of the other drives appear and migration assistant will not let me go to the next step. Any ideas what's happening?

I ended up doing most of the transfer manually (via external USB drive).
That way, I made sure everything was copied, and I had a backup at the same time
Alternately, you should be able to network the machines via ethernet cable, and move files that way.

  • Migration from Standalone Servers to Clusters Under VirutalBox

    Hi,
I am working with a clients who has many WL standalone servers running Oracle Linux, Oracle 11g RDBMS, and WL 10.3.5. I want to migrate the standalone servers to managed clusters on VM images. I want to replicate the re-build process as well. Is there any easy way to do this with minimal configuration?
    Please advise.
    Thanks.

Create a new domain for OIM in a Cluster following the installation steps. When you install OIM, point it to the existing database. It will tell you to copy the .xldatabasekey to your instance. You'll need to apply any patches to your installation to make it the same version as your existing. Also, copy all the additional jar files and other files you've added to your XL_HOME directory for connectors. You should be able to run the config_cluster script in the XL_HOME/setup directory to setup the jms queue for the server you are on. I have never done this, but it should work. Make sure you've cleared out all JMS and Recon messages prior to doing this.

  • Migration from 10g to 11i using sapinst - system copy

    Hi ,
We are planning to migrate from our current platform to new platform.
    Current Platform :  windows 2003,oracle 10g , ecc6.0
    Target :  Windows 2008 R2 , oracle 11g , ecc6.0
The process we are going to follow is system copy (Import/Export)
what are the Prerequisites for the for the same.
Do we have to need Sap netwever 7.0 sr3 atleast to carry out import / export.
What about the kernel and Export ?
Is it compatible to move from 10g to 11g using sapinst system copy.
    Thanks,
    Neel

    Hello,
    >> what are the Prerequisites for the for the same.
    Read the system copy guide
    >> Do we have to need Sap netwever 7.0 sr3 atleast to carry out import / export.
No, all versions are valid. Read the system copy guide according to your NW version.
    >> Is it compatible to move from 10g to 11g using sapinst system copy.
Yes, absolutely. On target system you install 11g software.
    Thanks

  • Migration from Standalone 10.2 with ASM to RAC 11.2

    Hi,
    I have the following situation:
+ My 10.2 Standalone Database "DB" + ASM (Version 11.2) runs on RH 5.4/64 (Node 1),
+ My 11.2 RAC-DB "RAC" run also on Node 1.
Now I want to migrate the 10.2 Standalone Database "DB" on the RAC-Environment to a 11.2 RAC-Database "DB".
Can anyone tell me the optimal Upgrade/Migration Path ?

    Hi,
Normally, if you have a single database in a version and you want it to be converted to be RAC in another version, you will make the following:
    1. Backup the database.
    2. Install binaries of new version in single database
-- install 11gR2 as stand-alone (ASM already there, you just create RDBMS binaries home)
    3. Upgrade stand-alond database from old version to new version.
    -- upgrade from 10.2 to 11.2
check Note 251.1 for more details about upgrade path and checklist
    4. After upgrade, convert from single to RAC using following link:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e10813/cvrt2rac.htm (for Linux)
-- of course check your platform link
Then you will have your database upgraded to RAC in new version.
Hope this give you good guidance. Good Luck.

  • Migrating Services From External ITS to Internal ITS

    Hi All,
We are migrating from External ITS 2.0 (SAP R/3 4.6B) to Internal ITS 6.0 (SAP ECC 6). Can anyone tell me on how to migrate services which are there in External ITS to Internal ITS, so that the same External ITS services are visible in SICF or SE80 Transaction.
    Thanks and Regards In Advance,
    Sidhartha Chatterjee

    Hi Sidhartha,
As Klaus recommend, you should start with help.sap.com.
I would also suggest doing a search in this forum, for similar threads like your. There are many of them, with good links and tips.
I think a very good practical start to understanding the internal ITS is to read Durairaj Raja's excellent webblog, "Running your first ITS WebGUI application in SAP Netweaver 04 ABAP Edition", /people/durairaj.athavanraja/blog/2005/08/21/running-your-first-its-webgui-application-in-sap-netweaver-04-abap-edition--nsp

  • System Copy/ Oracle Backup/Restore as part of migrating from 32 to 64-bit

    Source system (I386): R3E47 Ext Set 2.00 SAP_BASIS 620 Kernel 640 Windows 2000, Oracle 10.2.0.4, non-unicode
    Target system (x86-64/AMD64): R3E47 Ext Set 2.00 SAP_BASIS 620 Kernel 640 Windows 2000 Oracle 10.2.0.4, non-unicode
Am using method System Copy/ Oracle Backup/Restore to migrate from 32 to 64 bit (HOM System Copy).
    Actions on source system:
    a) Upgrade from 9.2.0.7 to Oracle 10.2.0.4
    b) Used ora_br_copy.bat to generate CONTROL.SQL and init<sid>.ora
    c) Switched logfiles
    d) Performed offline backup
    Actions on target system:
    a) Installed Oracle 10.2.0.1 and patched it to 10.2.0.4
    b) Used CD 51033746 "6.20/6.40 based products Installation Master (Edition May 2008)" to install the CI
    c) Started installation of the DB instance selecting System Copy/ Oracle Backup/Restore (same <SID> for source and target systems)
    Relevant input parameters used:
    Database schema: SAPR3
    Database character set: US7ASCII
    d) When SAPINST stopped to allow for restoring of datafiles, logs and init<sid.ora>:
    - copied datafiles and logs to the usual place
    - copied CONTROL.SQL (edited to include utilrp.sql and utlrp.sql for the migration from 32 to 64) to the DB-instance intallation . directory.
    - copied generated init<SID>.ora to the <ORACLE_HOME>\database
    e) Resumed SAPINST.
David Byrne in a previous post suggested: "check your oracle alert file in case there are errors there you may need to update the word size for the 64bit install. Errors like this in the oracle alert file would suggest that.,
    ORA-12012
    ORA-06544: PL/SQL: internal error, arguments: [ORA-06544: PL/SQL: internal error, arguments: 56319], [, ], [, ], [, ], [
    ORA-06553"
Well, I am getting ORA-06553: PLS-801: internal error [56319] but then my edited CONTROL.SQL (which is mainly a CREATE CONTROLFILE as it would be obtained with a ...BACKUP CONTROLFILE TO TRACE) includes at the end this:
    shutdown immediate
    startup upgrade
    spool utlirp.log
    @?/rdbms/admin/utlirp.sql
    spool off
    Shutdown immediate
    Startup
    Spool utlrp.log
    @?/rdbms/admin/utlrp.sql
    Spool off
    exit
which is supposed to do just that... (I think)
    Help, anyone?

    > Trying to cheer me up, are you?
    No
    > It is NOT free that reorganization! Quite expensive, actually, paid for in time! But you're right... the database needed a reorg anyway :-\
True, not "free" - it takes time but the data will be nicely aligned then
    > And why would I have to reconfigure all those 10.2 features? Everything's either in the database or init<sid>.ora, ain't it? And my database is a pretty 10.2.0.4 with all those nice features already activated...
No - not really auotmatically if you upgraded from 9.2 And "init<SID>.ora" is past, you nowadays use "spfile" If, of course, e. g. Automatic Undo was activated in 9.2 then it's there of course in 10.2 too.
    > One sticky point... I haven't really read the r3load procedure yet and I will before I import, but... I would say I don't have to do anything about the 32->64 bit, right? I mean, it should behave properly while reloading on 64-bit...
The exported content is about 10 % of the size of the system, it's database and OS independent so yes, you can import it nicely on 32bit. Another tip: make sure you don't just use the default configurations for R3load, it will take a HUGE amount of time. Use the package splitter (builtin-in in sapinst) so you get a much higher parallelism when importing.

  • Move iTunes library from external disk to internal disk

    Hello,
I am currently using a Mac Mini with an external disk to store my iTunes library as well as all the media files, apps, etc. The library is managed (consolidated) by iTunes and is also organized by iTunes.
I am about to buy the new Macbook Pro and with a 1 TB drive, I wanted to move the iTunes stuff (library, media, playlists, play counts, ratings, everything) to the internal drive of the new MBP.
    My questions are:
Can I do this migration (from external disk to internal disk of new Mac) as part of the Migration Assistant?
In case I can't do the above, what is the best way to do this after the new Mac has been set up?
How do I ensure that play counts, playlists, ratings, album art are preserved as I have spent considerable time setting those up?
I have 3-4 IOS devices syncing to this library. How do I ensure that when I sync them to the new computer/library, they will continue to work?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    1. See if this support answers your query http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4889 and  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
    3. Make sure complete intune folder is copied over. The Itunes Library.itl file contains all meta data.
    4. Maybe someone else can make a definitive comment on this. I used migration assistant and was able to sync my ipad and ipod classic without doing anything special.  I presume that it worked because both were syncing to the same library albeit on a different computer.

  • EA2 - MacOSX - Settings not migrated from 1.5

When I downloaded and launched 2.1, it did not migrate my settings (connections, snippets, etc.) from 1.5.1. I can't find a way to import them manually. Suggestions greatly appreciated!

K., your suggestion did bring up the migration dialog but it did not show any available SQL Developer installations to migrate from.
To work around this, I copied the contents of the old preferences location into the new:
    cp -r ~/Library/Application Support/SQL Developer/* ~/.sqldeveloper
Then relaunching v2.1 allowed me select the old version to import. There is definitely an issue here that needs to be addressed. Why was the preferences location moved for this version?
Thanks for all the suggestions and quick replies, and especially for developing SQL Developer and keeping it free.

  • Migrating from 6.2 ITS to 6.4 ITS Integrated should convert Zservices

    Hi All,
I listed all my services in my old 6.2 ITS sever using transaction SIAC1 in EBP server.
The list contained all SAP standard services and some Zsevices. Following are my questions.
    1. Should i need to convert only Zservices by running the SIAC_CONVERT_FORM_4X ( Where to run this transction) OR also convert all SAP services also,
    2. Should i need to do the following steps for EACH Zservices also in ITS 6.4 as defined by SAP
a.Create the ICF service name ? (In ITS 6.4)
    b.Create ICF/ITS handlers ?
    ICF/ITS handler is a class (CL_HTTP_EXT_ITS)
    c.Activate the ICF Services ?
    d. Maintain ITS service parameter ?
e.Change the HTML Templates (What changes are required e.g ??)
    f. Publish the ITS services files
you have to publish the Integrated ITS services files to site INTERNAL.
    3. Since this Integegrated ITS does not support Flow Logic and WebRFC application, what will be impact for our Zservices.
    Thanks,
    Gopal

just to precise some point :
e.Change the HTML Templates (What changes are required e.g ??)
this is required only if you were using URL generation in your templates.
in fact, integrated ITS does not use the same URL generation as the standalone ITS
    from SAP :
The syntax of an ICF-based URL differs from the present form. This means that for all locations
in the HTML template, in which the URL generation is used, you must adapt it to the new syntax.
    Procedure
    1.     Adapting the URL Generation in the HTML Templates parameters
    1.1.     ~session, ~client, ~login, ~language, ~password need to be replaced by session
    name or parameters sap-client, sap-user, sap-language, sap-password respectively
    1.2.     Remove system-related coding (~messageserver, ~appserver)
    2.     ICF Session ID Handling
The ICF session is included in the ICF URL. URLs, in which no session ID is specified,
    always start a new session.
Function wgateURL() generates a URL with ICF session ID, while the ~urlwgate parameter contains a URL without ICF session ID.

1.Will Operating System running on VM be changed? 2. Will BIOS and Boot Loader information be changed?
Thanks Looking forward for your response.

Just to make sure we're talking about the same thing. We're talking about "live-migration" not VM conversion from one hypervisor to another, like a VM from VMWare or XenServer to a VM on Hyper-V, right?
As mentioned above, when a VM is
live-migrated from one Hyper-V host to another, nothing changes. Bios does not change. A
Gen1 VM with traditional BIOS firmware will not turn into a Gen2 machine with UEFI firmware for example.
Boot loader will not change when a VM is live-migrated from one Hyper-V host to another.
MAC address on VM NICs will change when a VM is live-migrated from one Hyper-V host to another, unless the VM NIC is configured with a static MAC address. A Changed MAC address will be interpreted by the VM as a new NIC, which will lose its old IP settings.
Stopping and restarting a VM on the same Hyper-V host changes nothing about the VM synthetic hardware such as NICs, BIOS firmware, or its internal startup files like boot loader.
Stopping a VM, and restarting it on another Hyper-V host changes nothing except the VM NIC's MAC address if it is configured to have a dynamic MAC address as described above.

How do I migrate from my old iMac that lost its display to my new iMac?

That can depend on what model iMac is the old one. With some models it's relatively easy to remove the hard drive. once out, you can use a device like this:
Newer Technology Universal Drive Adapter USB 3.0 - connects any 2.5", 3.5" or 5.25" drive
to connect the old drive to the new Mac. It will show up exactly as if you had an external hard drive in an enclosure. Them you can access the drive.
Can you give us an idea of what iMac variant the old one represents? The are four broad families: G3; G5: G5, and Intel. You can usually find the processor information the same tag that has the serial number.
I believe that, if you enter its serial number in tis Apple web page:
    https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do
it will give you a description of the computer with the pertinent information.
