Migrating SLA Custom Source

I was wondering if Oracle provides a standard way of migrating SLA Custom Source definition from one instance to another. For e.g. Ldt etc

The standard concurrent program 'Export Application Accounting Definition' does not export the SLA sources. It only exports the AADs for a given subledger.
To export the SLA sources you may use the xlaemseed.lct to get the data for xla_sources_<b/tl> and other tables.
I have not tested it for the customer sources but it works correctly for the seeded sources (to test).

We are trying to create a custom source to get some values from the Attribute field, we tried to use the to_char function as a pl/sql function name to return the attribute that is passed to the custom source.
But it is giving an error during validation. This the text that we specify in the pl/sql function name - TO_CHAR(TRX_LINE_ATTR1)

SLA Custom source for Receivable Tax line

Hi All,
I defined a custom source with a cutstom funtion. I have taken paramter as 'Distribution Line Identifier' and did some logic to extract a value
I have NOT entered any values to Segment, Lookup and Valueset.
Next I developed custom Account derivation rule, selecting Value set into the 'Output type' (I have taken same value set as the line of business valueset)
Into the priorities I have taken the above custom source
Now in Journal Line Definitions for my required definition and required line type
i tried to assign the above custom rule to line of business segment
Here I could not find my custom rule at all.
I did same way for Payables, it is working fine. Not sure where I did the worng.
If I have to select 'Segment' options in custom source. I could not find line of business option in lov.
Please let me know what I have to do with this.

From the window help of JLD / JLT / ADR assignment screen:The list of values includes the following:All account derivation rules associated with the application for which the journal lines definition is created
Sources that belong to the event class for which the line assignment is created and which meet the conditions described in the table below.Check all the sources used in custom source and ADR are related to the event class of the JLD, to which you are assigning the ADR.By

**** Migration of Custom Objects in R12 ****

Hello All,
We have to migrate our custom objects from 11i to 12.
I have no idea or document on this.
Please answer on
a) is it possible to migrate our custom objects from 11i to 12 ???
b) since R12 is java based, do we need to create custom objects from scratch ???
Example 11i is using a rdf report, so how this will be migrated ??? or we need to create some jaba based report in R12 ????
c) ALso about forms - are they JSP pages in R12???

Anand,
Your work demands much more analysis. Migration will depend on a lot many factors like the kind of objects you have used, whether the customization done on a page/form has changed or not, any functionality/seeded code/database object changes which might directly affect your customizations.
One thing for sure is that mod pl/sql is not supported by oracle in R12.
rdf reports should be fine. some forms have been converted to OAF pages.
You will have to go through the readme of technology patches and product patches for a complete analysis.

I want to migrate my custom new doc sizes from cs6 to cc/cc2014 where can i find that file to copy to new versions of Photoshop?

Yes it look like Adobe migrate presets misses your new document size presets. I was able to copy my "New Doc Sizes.psp" preference file from CC preferences to CC 2014 preferences a manual migrate at best.

Persistent store migration failed, missing source managed object model.

I downloaded the new Desktop Manager and all seemed to go well (I did a backup), until I tried to sync the address book with my new 8120. I then got an error message 'Persistent store migration failed, missing source managed object model', followed by a failed to sync message. Having had my calendar corrupted by the leaked version I didn't want to risk that.
I don't want to be too negative, but after many years of being a Palm user my Blackberry experience so far has been a nightmare.
Anybody else having problems?

You had the leaked version installed? Did you still have it installed when you installed the official version? If you removed it, what steps did you take to remove it?

Error while Migrating the custom routines in Transformations

Dear All,
I am in the process of migrating BW 3.5 to BI 7.0.I migrated the Standard cubes and DSO's from BW3.5 to BI 7.0 flow successfully.
But while migrating the transformations which are having the custom routines,I am facing the below errors.
The data object "COMM_STRUCTURE" does not have a component called BIC/ZGROSSPRI".But the routine contains BIC/ZGROSSPRI.
I tried to change the BW 3.5 terminology to BI 7.0 terminology.(Like COMM_STRUCTURE replaced by SOURCE_FIELDS).But unable to solve.There are nearly 20 custome routines written in all transformations.
Can any one guide me who faced the same tyepe of problem?

Migrating a custom built BusinessObjects 6.5 Java application to XI 3.1

Hi,
We have a Business Objects 6.5 system which needs to be migrated to XI 3.1.
In the present Business Objects 6.5 system, we have a custom built Java application deployed on WebLogic. Its got a single sign on also configured from the Java web page into InfoView. A fair deal of SDK customization has been done to achieve this.
My question is, if we need to set up the same portal to function similarly in Business Objects XI 3.1, what are the steps to be followed? Should the code be re-written to adhere to the XI 3.1 SDK and then re-deployed on the new server? Kindly correct me if I'm wrong.
I found this document: u201CMigrating Business Objects 6 Customized Applications to BusinessObjects Enterprise XI R2u201D which provides info on this. But, Iu2019m not yet able to figure out where to begin.
I do not have great exposure to writing code and deploying web applications. So Iu2019ll be very grateful for any help and pointers on this.

More than likely it will need to be a complete rewrite.

Text Migration for Customer Master ?

Hi all,
I am involved in the migration of the customer master and so have to migrate text sitting on the customer master.
Can somebody please provide me some help on this?
As a start off point I have a SAP Sandbox system from where I can see what all text is being maintained at the customer master level which i should be bringing on to the Production system. What tables can I look into to see all the text maintained for the customer master.
Help will be really appreciated.
We intend to use the standad idoc for migration.

Hi,
Jason is correct that you will need the READ_TEXT function if you want to either spot check some texts (use SE37 and READ_TEXT to view a sample of customers) or if you want to extract the data.
However, if for example during an extract or during an upload you merely wanted to check whether a customer had texts, you can check on table STXH. Each customer text (of one or multiple lines) will have one header record in table STXH. STXH does not allow you to see the data as Jason pointed out, but it does show whether it exists or not.
An easy way when dealing with long texts to fnd out the object, id and name of any text is to go into the text record intself in the display transaction (eg, XD03 for customer master) and in the menu path click Goto>Header. That will give you the header information for the text and allow you to see what you need to code into your ABAP program or LSMW.

Migrating SSRS custom security from 2008 R2 to SQL Server 2012

We have built custom security in SSRS 2008 R2 and now we are migrating it to SSRS 2012. We are facing an issue, it always throws Security exception below and when we are changing
web.config file to below line we are getting "500 Internal server error". Tried everything, no luck... can someone please assist here whether we need to rewrite entire custom security code and then migrate it to SSRS 2012 custom
security. Any help here much appreciated

In your case, please running the following command to check the current URL reservations on http.sys.
netsh http show urlacl
Then, please delete the URL reservation by executing the following command try to resolve the issue.
netsh http delete urlacl <url>

Migration tool Usage - Source & target portal versions

Central note for portal migration specifies that the source portal should be in SP2 Patch 5. However the note is not clear about target portal version. The situation is that we have our current portal in EP6SP2 Patch 4 and we are evaluting Netweaver portal features like collaboration with Stack 11 since Stack 9 (SR1) and Stack10 are having few problems.We obviously want to migrate portal contents in to Stack 11 to avoid upgrade down time.
1.Can we use the migration tool to migrate portal contents from SP2 Patch 5 to Stack 11 portal?.
2. Why the source EP6Sp2 portal should be in Patch level 5. Is migration tool using any specific features of Patch 5?. ( Since we are in EP6SP2 Patch 4, we need resources to upgrade to Patch 5, test the contents after patch 5 and live with "known issues" of patch 5 for some time before migrating).
I am sure that i am not the only persion in this situation ( Upgrade to Patch 5 -> Migrate Contents to SR1 -> Upgrade to Stack 11) . is anybody having any shortcuts to reduce the complexity of upgrading the portal to Netweaver environment?.

Hi,
Currently the flow you have descibed in the bottom of your post is correct. the source system must be at least EP6 SP2 Patch5.
The target system should be NW04 SR1 (no additional patches and no additional SPs). To this version you can run the migration. After the migration is done, one should upgarde to SP11.
Unfortunately, currently there is no shortcut...

Migrate Inplace Custom Timer Job to Online

Hi All,
I am pretty new in SharePoint Online, we have planned to migrate all SharePoint 2010 In-place contents to SharePoint Online. We have few timer jobs deployed in our farm and do not have access to Online servers to migrate custom timer jobs.
Hence what should be the best strategy to migrate these?

Timer jobs cannot be migrated or created in Office 365. You do not have the access to run those things.
You'll have to re-design your solution.

Customizing Sourcing Stylesheet PON_SOURCING_XSLFO.xsl

Can you please point me to an appropriate userguide/document that will help me understand how to go about customizing PON_SOURCING_XSLFO.xsl document to updte the stylesheet with our company logo ? Most other documentation says that download the xsl from XML Publisher responsibility > Sourcing Stylesheet, then modify using text editor and then upload it back. There is no documentation anywhere as to how to go about adding an image etc. The only thing that i found helpful was bug db bug 13006586. But couldn't find the release info of patch 8771921 mentioned in it.

Bug 13006586 may hold an answer, but i can't find patch 8771921 mentioned in it. If you can help, it would be great.

You should be fine if you decouple it retroactively. Also, please go through the SAP help on [Decoupling|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/EN/43/a503b963161bbfe10000000a1553f7/content.htm] Infotypes, just in case, you haven't already done it.
