Migrating WinHelp 4 project to HTMLHelp
Hi Everyone,
Using RoboHelp for Word (2003) X5.0.1, I have a Winhelp 4
project which works perfectly. Now I need to migrate to CHM file
instead of HLP. For this, I changed the primary layout to
"Microsoft HTML Help" then generated the project. Now on every
first topic of each .doc file a list of font names is displayed
before the first line like this :
Arial;Courier New;Symbol;Wingdings;Times New Roman CE;Times
New Roman Cyr;Times New Roman Greek;Times New Roman Tur;Times New
Roman (Hebrew);Times New Roman (Arabic);Times New Roman
Baltic;Times New Roman (Vietnamese);Arial CE;Arial Cyr;Arial
Greek;Arial Tur;Arial (Hebrew);Arial (Arabic);Arial Baltic;Arial
(Vietnamese);Courier New CE;Courier New Cyr;Courier New
Greek;Courier New Tur;Courier New (Hebrew);Courier New
(Arabic);Courier New Baltic;Courier New (Vietnamese);
Any suggestions or tips to remove this ?
Thanks in advance and Best Regards to all !

What is the recommended way to migrate a RH8 project to another PC?
I am hoping to get advice on the recommended way to migrate a RH8 project to another PC – the project has been upgraded from earlier version of RH and other users and appears to be carrying a lot of baggage (strange and exotic files). I looked for an “export” function but failed to see any guidance on this in the forums. Hope you can help.
Zip the folder on PC1. Copy the zip to PC2. Unzip it.
Any tidying up has to be done manually. See Reports > Unused Files.

Migrating a Eclipse Project to JDeveloper and use it as a web service
Hi Guys,
I have a problem with migrating a Eclipse Project (EP) to JDeveloper. I know there are several threads about the problem out there but none of these fit my needs.
So, here is the problem:
I didn't had any problems migrating EPs to JDev in the past but this project is neither a .jar/.lib nor could I change it to one of those types. The project hase some additional filesto work. These files areare libs and owl-mappings for Jena/Pellet ( [http://jena.sourceforge.net/|http://jena.sourceforge.net/] ).
My porblem is that I don't know who to migrate the project to JDev and then use it as a web service, while the file structure stays the same plus everything is uploaded to Oracle as a web service. Meaning everything has to be included in one java package. Or am i wrong?
The file structure looks like this (from the EP):
src\*.java
owl\*.owl
lib\*.lib
location-mapping.n3
expdt.props
The Libraries aren't a problem. They are all .jar-files but could be easily included in the project (JDev) but I don't know how to handle the other files. Especially the much needed owl files :(
Maybe I'm doing it all wrong. My Goal is to use the EP as a web servies for a business process to enforce rulings and obligations. I'm kinda stumped...
Greetings,
SebastianThank you very much, Shay. It helped regaining overview of the project files. Before all additional files were in the AppFolder.
I got to a point where I (hopefully) only got a problem with the directory matching (which is needed by jena).
Tanks again.

Can I migrate an iMovie project to final cut pro and keep the edits intact?
can I migrate an iMovie project to final cut pro and keep the edits intact? It may be a solution to my apparently corrupted iMovie
The manual tells ..
http://help.apple.com/finalcutpro/mac/10.1/?lang=en#ver41812c7c
keep in mind: just the 'plain cuts', not the eye-candy iMovie offers, wil be transfered.
unfortunately it says ...:
You initiate the process from within iMovie. The project file and the media used in the project are copied to your Final Cut Pro library.
For more information, see iMovie Help.
so, if your iM doesn't work anymore, you can not transfer.
plus, my personal opinion!, I would start from scratch in FCPx...
What issues in iM do you expect FCPX to solve,...? -
Migrating Biztalk 2006R2 projects to Biztalk 2013
We have to migrate Biztalk 2006R2 projects built using Visual studio 2005(and .net framework 2.0)
to Biztalk 2013 project in visual studio 2012.
When we rebuild these projects, is it a best choice to target to use .netframework 4.5 and rebuild them? Will we face any problems in doing so??
Biztalk application uses some Windows class libraries as well which are built using .net framework 2.0, can we rebuilt them using 4.5 as well?
As far as Biztalk adapters are concerned we use ->HTTP adapter, MSMQ adapter, FILE adapter and Scheduled Task adapter.
Is there any change that we need to make as far as adapters are concerned?
Greatly appreciate any inputs.. thanks!!Also read the following:

I have followed tutorials...instructions on the web...all I get are unsolvable errors.
I have a large Air application that compiles fine and works in Flash. However I would like to take advantage of the as3xls api which does not work in Flash Professional (for no reason in particular the internet just tells me it won't work because Flash Professional cannot access some part of the Flex framework).
So I want to make my project work in Flash Builder. However, when I attempt to reference my document class, flash builder gives me an error telling me the package path com.andrewbefus.ModelMapper no longer works. It does this no matter how I select the folder to reference my document class. If I change the path to nothing...Flash Builder is happy with my document class and unhappy with every other class I have made.
Then I decided to make a new Flash Builder ActionScript file and simply replace the ModelMapper.as document class that Flash Builder created with my completed ModelMapper.as. After some messing around with paths and directories, I got Flash Builder to be happy with my program structure but then all hell broke loose on almost every single Class outside the Flash Builder framework. One by one I attempted to tell Flash Builder where to go to get my components, fl.motion classes, and my custom classes but Flash Builder refused to recognise them unless I reference the folder containing the files, and then proceeded to tell me that the project path of every single class needed to be changed. I imagine if I spend the rest of my day mucking around with this something else will come up.
I went looking for a tutorial explaining how to migrate a Flash Professional project over to Flash Builder. The closest thing I could come up with told me to just select my fla. file by going Project<Flash Professional<Create project using Fla file... which worked great except refused to compile my project as a desktop application for no sane reason - giving no option to select my project when I attempted to create a new Run Configuration.
One frustration after another....I've also followed all the instructions here:
http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html
Still no luck...

Hi all,
I am having problems migrating my Toplink Workbench project from 9.0.4.5 to 10.1.3.1.0! I used the Toplink Workbench to open and convert the existing project. The conversion succeeded, but when I tried to export the mappings I got this:

9.3.1 Migration Utility gives "Project does not exists" error in log
In preparation for using Hyperion Reporting and Analysis 9.3.1, I have installed the following on a Linux test server:
--Oracle App Server 10.1.3
--Oracle Database 10g XE
--Hyperion shared services 9.3.1
--Hyperion UI Services 9.3.1
--Hyperion SQR Production Reporting 9.3.1
--Hyperion Reporting and Analysis, Financial Reporting 9.3.1
Everything is up and running and I created a new user account in Shared Services to administer the system, and attempted to give it full access by provisioning it with all the available roles. I received an error message stating
"+OracleJSP: An error occurred. Consult your application/system administrator for support. Programmers should consider setting the init-param debug_mode to "true" to see the complete exception message.+"
I'm investigating that now, but the roles seemed to be assigned to the user anyway.
When attempting to migrate from HPSu 8.5.2 to Reporting and Analysis 9.3.1 using the 9.3.1 Linux x86 Migration Utility (V11333-01 from edelivery.oracle.com), I get the following error message in a test migration:
The migration process has been failed on 'User Defined Roles' migration step*
I set the log level to debug and looked it over and here are the error details:

We've only one user-defined role in the source system that I don't think is giving us this issue, it is inactivated and "User Roles" was not one of the selected objects to migrate.
I would like to try taking the role completely out of the source system if possible, preferably through SQL applied to the V8 tables or through the SDK.
The error looks like it lies in the migration task following the user role provisioning, doAssignDefaultGroup* and is caused by getProjectNameByID*
The steps I have taken (for sanity sake) so far are:
--I've removed all associations with this user defined role in the source system (users, groups, and roles) using the administrative interface on the web.
--I've unchecked 'User Defined Roles' on the list objects to migrate from the source to target systems in the Migration Utility, but I still get the error.
It looks like it is trying to provision a user defined role in the target system, but it is not finding a default project by the id in the error message.
Are there any Shared Services steps in the target system that need to be taken besides creating a manager type user to use as a log in for the Migration Tool?I turned on the jsp debug init-param for the system for more information about the error. I get the following:
Request URI:/interop/jsp/css/CSSTemplate.jsp
Exception:
OracleJSP:oracle.jsp.parse.JspParseException: /jsp/css/provisionSummary.jsp: Line # 119, <bean:define id="appId" name="appName" property="key"/>

When I attempt to provision the user I created for administrative purposes, Ialso see the following:
--from the file SharedServices_Metadata.log I see the error:

Is there a way to migrate an Oracle ADF project, specifically a Model using ADF Business Components from JDev 10.1.2.2.0 to JDev 10.1.3.1.0?
Is there a way to create a clone of a Model using ADF Business Components from one application to be used in another application, w.o.w. to re-use a Model from one application in another application?
Thank you in advance.For some reason my example code was erased from the message.
I based my general method on following one:
see:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/howtos/10g/jcmultiform/index.html
int count = 0;
private DCBindingContainer createDetailBinding()
String detailBCName = "DetailFormUIModel"+count;
if (panelBinding.getBindingContext().get(detailBCName) == null)
DCBindingContainerDef bcdef = DCBindingContainerDef.findDefObject("sample.DetailFormUIModel");
DCBindingContainer bc = bcdef.createBindingContainer(panelBinding.getBindingContext());
bc.setName(detailBCName);
panelBinding.getBindingContext().put(detailBCName, bc);
++count; //make sure the next name is unused thus far.
return bc;
return null;
My method:
========
private DCBindingContainer createBindingContainer(String packageName, String panelModelName)
StringBuffer sb = new StringBuffer(packageName);
sb.append(ViewConstants.STRING_DOT);
sb.append(panelModelName);
DCBindingContainerDef bcdef = DCBindingContainerDef.findDefObject(sb.toString()); //NOTE THE NAME.
if (bcdef == null)
throw new JboException("System error, "+getClass().getName()+".createBindingContainer, DCBindingContainerDef: "+sb.toString()+" not found");
DCBindingContainer bc = bcdef.createBindingContainer(panelBinding.getBindingContext());
bc.setName(panelModelName);
panelBinding.getBindingContext().put(panelModelName, bc);
return bc;
Any suggestion for replacing createBindingContainer with the 10.1.3 adequate method?
Thanks

Migrating Solution Manager Project ?
Hello .. has anyone had success in migrating a Solution Manager project from one server to another ? If so, can you share the details. I am aware it can be done via template, but havent tried as of yet...
weinuxMy worry is not migration process.
That´s why you must have a certified migration consultant on-site to do the migration. If you do it on your own and you have problems after the migration you will loose support.
But after migration will solution manager configuration remain intact?
Yes - it will be identical.
Will configuration done in SOLMAN before migration, affect due to migration.Any pros and cons?
No - apart from a different OS and database configuration that must be taken care of during the migration.
Also Can you please suggest rough ( approx ) estimate for migration? Solution manager version 7.0 , Solaris 5.9 , oracle 10g.
It´s impossible to tell that.
It depends on lots of factors (processor number/speed, speed of I/O subsystem, database configuration...). A migration is usually done three times at least to get the optimal number of R3load processes and database configuration during the migration process.

Troubles while migrate Eclipse Luna projects from 32 bit to 64 bit
Hello friends, could you help me to fix a problem?
I worked on Eclipse Luna until recently and all my e4 projects worked well under Linux x86 (JDK7 and Eclipse were by 32 arch too). Now I migrate to a newer computer with Linux 64 bit. I install both JDK7 either Eclipse Luna 64 bit. But I can't run my RCP application. Got many errors like this:
Quote:!ENTRY org.eclipse.e4.ui.workbench 4 0 2015-07-26 15:22:26.571 !MESSAGE Event Admin service is not available, unable to publish event org.osgi.service.event.Event [topic=org/eclipse/e4/ui/model/ui/Context/context/SET].

and so on...
What does it mean and how to fix it? I created my projects on 4.x Eclipse version.
What I tried:
- to put projects to a fresh workspace
- to clear and remake Eclipse product dependences
But I got the same errors. Please suggest...It looks like org.eclipse.equinox.event is not started or missing in
your launch config

How to migrate a weblogic project files into oracle 9i JDeveloper?
Hi,
I have a simple customer registration website (on top of 8.1.7 DB using oracle jdbc thin driver) as follow:
It is all under c:\weblogic\myserver\public_html\jsp\
(Which is the document root)
12 html files under c:\weblogic\myserver\public_html\jsp\
40 JSP files under c:\weblogic\myserver\public_html\jsp\cut
10 image files under c:\weblogic\myserver\public_html\jsp\images
1 java package under
c:\weblogic\myserver\public_html\servletclasses
The following is from the properties file under weblogic directory. What do I need to configure in oc4j as a web logic
weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool.examples-dataSource-demoPool=\
url=jdbc:oracle:thin:@mymachine:1521:db03,\
driver=oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver,\
loginDelaySecs=1,\
initialCapacity=2,\
maxCapacity=4,\
capacityIncrement=2,\
allowShrinking=true,\
shrinkPeriodMins=15,\
refreshMinutes=10,\
testTable=dual,\
props=user=cut1;password=cut1
weblogic.allow.reserve.weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool.examples-dataSource-demoPool=everyone
weblogic.allow.reset.weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool.examples-dataSource-demoPool=everyone
weblogic.allow.shrink.weblogic.jdbc.connectionPool.examples-dataSource-demoPool=everyone
weblogic.jdbc.TXDataSource.examples-dataSource-demoPool=examples-dataSource-demoPool
weblogic.jdbc.DataSource.examples-dataSource-demoPool=examples-dataSource-demoPool
It there any how to steps to import it and be working- into Jdeveloper and deploy it against oc4j that I downloaded as a web server. I searched and contacted friends even at oracle and reached dead end.
Is there a migration from bea to oracle 9i that exist and that is tried and found to be working?
If so what are the details that makes it successfull all the way?
Can all those files be maintained in JDeveloper 3.2.3 or 9 keeping -your recommended- directory sturcture?
What are steps to setup the web server?
So that we may better diagnose DOWNLOAD problems, please provide the following information.
- Server name
- Filename
- Date/Time
- Browser + Version I.E 5.5
- O/S + Version Windows 200 Proffessional SP2
*** Because of JDeveloper ***
*** However please recommend any web server on HP or Sun ***
- Error Msg N/A
- Oracle 8.1.7 with thin JDBC driverThere are two ways of doing this:
a) You do a system copy using R3load
This will give you a "free" reoganization because the tables will be loaded into the database as if you were doing a new installation. The disadvantage is, that it takes more time and good planning.
b) you do a system copy using backup/restore together with the database upgrade
This is a fast way to get your system upgraded and if something goes wrong you can still use the old system. Check
Note 932722 - Upgrade to Oracle 10.2 during a database copy
this is a note for Windows but you can adapt it to be used on Unix/HP-UX too.
And just as a remark:
The "free" support for Oracle 10g is ending next year in June (see Note 1339724 - Oracle 10.2 Extended Support free until July 31, 2011) - after that you have to buy additional support if you want to continue to run 10g. If you run now a migration/upgrade project, why not upgrade directly to 11g?

Migrate Web Dynpro Project to NWDI through DC
Hi All,
I have a requirement which i need to migrate the local Web Dynpro projects to NWDI to make it in central location.
I have developed the Web Dynpro project which is local to my system (includes model creation - deprecated type).
I need to integrate/migrate these Web Dynpro projects into NWDI.
As i did copy & paste of src folder and did creating new model after deleting the existing model.
After these I am able to build the project however I am getting the below error message while deploying it to Sandbox system.

Migrating from MS Project to Oracle 9i
Hello all,
Is there anyway to migrate data from MS Project file to Oracle 9i database other than through MS Access as it is not the part of Client's standards.
Thanx in advance
SanjayIm afraid the OMWB does not perform MS Project migrations to Oracle.
