[Migration Accelerator] Process Server not recognized in CX.

Team,
I have configured CX, MT and PS. When I navigate to Monitor -> Agent Heartbeat; I see "Unknown" value under Machine and Agent Role tab. Looks like I am missing something? Please advice. Many thanks!

Hi Avihai,<o:p></o:p>
Problem 1: Machine & Agent role shown Unknown.<o:p></o:p>
This is normal behavior. This kind of status will be
shown for Configuration server (CS) & Process server (PS) only.<o:p></o:p>
You will see the time stamp under "Process Server
(PS)" only if an server is installed with that role.<o:p></o:p>
Problem 2:
Could you please check the 'amethyst.conf'  file in the following location "C:\home\svsystems\etc"
is provided with the right Configuration server IP (CS).<o:p></o:p>
PS_CS_IP = "CS_IP"<o:p></o:p>
PS_CS_PORT = "HTTP/HTTPS_port number"<o:p></o:p>
Also please check which method of communication is
selected while installing CS.<o:p></o:p>

  • Migration Accelerator - Process Server not showing up in CX Configuration

    For the part of the documentation where you establish what the process server is in the CX agent settings. I went to do that setting, but the Process Server never shows up. I have given it a few days and it still doesn't fill in the box.

    Hi Joe,
    This happens when process server is not registered with CS server.  please check below:
    On the Process Server, open
    c:\home\svsystems\etc\AMETHYST.CONF. Search for 'PS_CS_IP' and port.
    please validate above information is correct and PS_CS_IP should be public ip address of CS in Azure and same case for port (it should be public address of CS in Azure). In some cases your public address will change for CS in azure if you shutdown and start
    the VM. This is due to no reserved IP address configured for this VM.
    if that is the case, you will have to follow below steps to reset the things:
    #1 Reconfigure Source Machine and MT to point to CS
    on the Source Machines and Master Target (in your Azure subscription) you can change it from HOSTCONFIGWXCOMMON.EXE found under <program files>\InMage Systems
    #2 Reconfigure PS to point to CS
    on the Process Server, open c:\home\svsystems\etc\AMETHYST.CONF. Search for 'PS_CS_IP' and change the IP address to point to your new public CS IP address.
    After making changes to your AMETHYST.CONF you need to restart TMANSVC service (go to RUN > services.msc > scroll down to tmansvc & restart it.)
    #3 Reconfigure CS with MA Portal
    Unregister CS from MA from
    From CS Portal > menu Settings > Rx Settings > click ‘Unregister RX’
     Run post deployment script on CS with new public IP as described in HELP, under the section ‘Installation and Configuration’ > ‘Create and Install components’ > ‘Install CS on Windows’ > ‘Run Postdeployconfig script’
    Register CS with MA
    From CS Portal > menu Settings > Rx Settings > click ‘Unregister RX’
    Thx-Gopi

  • Microsoft Migration accelerator - Process Server NAT?

    For the MS MA process server (on premises server), one of the requirements is a NAT setup to an external IP.   Do we have any control over what port the server will be using?  The reason I ask is 80 and 443 on this specific IP are already
    consumed and being used for other servers, so I cant NAT those ports to the PS box.
    Any insight here would be excellent.  Thanks!

    PS server polls to CS server on port 443 for registration and sync the data for reports.
    MT server in azure pulls the replication data from process server through ports 9080 and 9443 (If secure options enabled on replications).  MT server will connect to PS server through NAT IP and required ports to be enabled are 9080 and 9443.

  • ISP server not recognizing mail password

    This has been going on for a couple of weeks. I get a warning that my ISP server isn't recognizing my mail password. The password hasn't changed, so I re-enter the password, check the box about remembering password in keychains. This may happen several times in one day & then it goes away for a few days ,but starts up again. It has started up again this morning x3 & I 'm at a loss as to what to do to fix it since I've only been on the Mac since last October. Thanks for any suggestions!

    Hi Debbie,
    Ernie's almost certainly right about this being an ISP-side issue. For what it's worth, I occasionally get a similar message from Entourage about 'password not recognized, do I want to try to enter it again' during the periodic (5 minutes) check of the mail server on my work Mac. If the network goes out briefly or the servers bog down (both of which our IT department swears never, ever, well hardly ever happens), the business of sending the account password to the ISP's server and getting back an acknowledgement break down. Like you, I've found that when this starts happening, I just keep trying to reconnect until it works again, after which it will typically run OK for several weeks (until the next network upgrade).

  • Javax.annotation.processing.Processor not recognized

    Hi,
    I'm currently experimenting with the javax.annotation.processing API. Thus I created a simple Annotation and a related simple processor.
    Another sample program uses the annotation. When compiling this program everything works fine as long as I specify the processor class
    on the command line. But when I try to simply use a javax.annotation.processing.Processor file, the compiler doesn't seem to find the processor.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Here come the details:
    I use Java6 and the sun java compiler javac.
    The annotation and processor class are packed into a JAR file together with the javax...Processor file. The JAR looks like this:
         hello/HelloProcessor.class
         hello/annotations/Hello.class
         META-INF/services/javax.annotation.processing.Processor
         META-INF/MANIFEST.MF     The javax.annotation.processing.Processor file is UTF-8 encoded and contains a single line:
         hello.HelloProcessorwithout the leading spaces.
    My processor looks like this:
         @SupportedAnnotationTypes (value = {"hello.annotations.Hello"})
         public class HelloProcessor extends AbstractProcessor {
             private int mCounter = 0;
             /* (non-Javadoc)
              * @see javax.annotation.processing.AbstractProcessor#process(java.util.Set, javax.annotation.processing.RoundEnvironment)
             @Override
             public boolean process(Set<? extends TypeElement> aAnnotations, RoundEnvironment aRoundEnv) {
              Messager vMessager = processingEnv.getMessager();
              vMessager.printMessage(Kind.NOTE, "Runde " + ++mCounter);
              vMessager.printMessage(Kind.NOTE, "Hello World!");
              return false;
         }The following call works...
         javac -processor hello.HelloProcessor -d bin -sourcepath src -cp lib/helloap.jar src/hello/examples/SimpleClass.javaand leads to the following output:
         warning: No SupportedSourceVersion annotation found on hello.HelloProcessor, returning RELEASE_6.
         Note: Runde 1
         Note: Hello World!
         Note: Runde 2
         Note: Hello World!          And this call does not seem to work:
         javac -d bin -sourcepath src -cp lib/helloap.jar src/hello/examples/SimpleClass.javaas it does not produce any output.
    And when I try to configure the processor in eclipse, the processor simply is not found, when I define the helloap.jar on the factory path.
    I'd be happy about every hint.
    Greetings
    yawah

    It sounds like your META-INF/services information is bad.
    Outside of javac, I suggest trying to find your processor from its jar file using java.util.ServiceLoader.
    I'd also try making sure your META-INF/services file ends with a newline character rather than just ends.

  • Server not recognizing access privileges

    I have created new student accounts, set their privileges to read & write and copied those privileges to all enclosed folders, but my students still cannot gain access to their respective folders. I tried deleting a student account and recreating, but this didn't solve the problem. Also tried restarting server, but again, not a solution.
    Any suggestions? Somewhat desperate here.
    Thanks in advance!

    I had to reset permissions for each account, but was able to solve the problem that way.

  • DPR 1260 Wireless Print Server not recognized on Macbook Pro

    Please help. I am a first time Mac user. I have a D-link wireless print server that is connected to a HP Office Jet 6200 all in one. For some reason I cannot set up the wireless print server. A couple questions: I enter the IP address when I set up a new printer. Still nothing. Do I need to select IP printing when setting up a new printer? Is D-link wireless printing supported by Leopard? When I plug in direct via USB - Mac prints no problem. Tech support really couldn't help - neither could D-link. Does anyone know step by step how to set up? Explain it to me like I'm 4 years old. Thanks.

    You have two issues going at once.
    Driver - There are two kinds of print driver on OS X (not like Windows) - Carbon and CUPS. CUPS drivers are required to use the standard network print protocols provided in OS X by the CUPS system - IP printing and Windows printing. But HP doesn't provide CUPS drivers for non-postscript printers. They provide Carbon drivers where they have limited the driver to USB only. To get a CUPS driver for your model, install the 3 part hpijs:
    http://www.linux-foundation.org/en/OpenPrinting/macosx
    Print & Fax prefs setup -
    I call your attention to page 19 of the print server manual. Dlink simply has "no clue" about OS X. The easiest comm protocol for you is HP Jetdirect, which equals TCP/IP raw port 9100. That is for USB port 1 -- for the other USB ports you will need to use advanced setup in Print & Fax.
    So, plug the printer into USB port 1 and set up using IP printer > HP Jetdirect protocol, selecting your new hpijs driver.
    Good luck.

  • Outgoing mail server not recognized

    Hi there
    After a week of having Snow Leopard my outgoing mail address is now suddenly rejected by the server. I have tried to delete my mail box but that doesn't work.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks Ian

    I looked this up:
    Account information
    account type POP
    Email adress : (your address)
    File name : (your name)
    Incoming server:pop.prodigy.net.mx
    username:(your name)
    password:(your password)
    outgoing server: (depends what you have configured) see further down.
    tick the box use only this server
    Under Advanced select advance on top of your menu.
    Enable this account: tick this box
    Include when auto....etc:click this box
    leave copy etc : do not tick box
    Now still to configure outgoing server for that use connection doctor.
    You find this in the drop down menu just beside left off the help drop down menu.
    Click the doctor.The doctor goes scanning and find the incoming server a green indicator is lighted.
    I t does not find out going server and a red light appears.
    Double click on the message beside the red light
    A menu appears for out going server.
    In the top square empty all info that is there by clicking - (= the minus sign) under this top square
    When empty click + to enter the details for outgoing server.
    A light gray double click appears.
    do that and fill in your details: smtp.prodigy.net .mx
    give a name to this server:that name is the one I mentioned above depends etc
    click apply.
    Close the window and you will be asked to save if it is not saved already.
    Remember my first advise above when you still can not get connected the reason may be that your provider use a dynamic DNS address the changes every tim you log in for this change the DNS address as in my previous advise.
    Please let me know if it works for you.Connection Doctor is the only way I could reach quick access to outgoing server.
    Alternatively delete all the accounts and just follow the procedure for adding account.
    Wait until the server is found take quite some time but you may still have patience after this.
    I have spend 3 days to get it all right! and 3 hours phone my provider and 3 hour Apple

  • Why is my OS X Server not recognizing an ethernet option for network

    I recently ran a brand new install of MAC OS X Server on my mac mini.  It now does not give me an option to set up an ethernet connection.  Could this be because the ethernet card is bad?  Or are the settings that I have missed during the new install?
    Thank you,
    Gary

    When you go into network from the system prefferences what do you see on the left hand side?
    If for some reason you do not see ethernet click on the plus button below and then see if you can pick ethernet from the interface pull down. If not you may just have a hardware problem.

  • Server not recognizing a valid connection

    Hi,
    After reading about Java NIO for some time I have built a server and very simple client. The server
    accepts connection requests and stores them as non blocking socket channels in a selector.
    The selector executes the select() method every second. ie)selector.select(1000).
    Below is the the client code I use to connect to the server.
                    int sleepCount = 0;
              int written = 0;
              InetSocketAddress ins = new InetSocketAddress("192.168.2.102", 7777);
              SocketChannel sock = SocketChannel.open(ins);
              try{
                   sock.finishConnect();
              }catch (IOException ioe){
                   ioe.printStackTrace();
              String msg = new String("[Client Message]");
              byte bmsg = msg.getBytes();
                    ByteBuffer buffer = ByteBuffer.wrap(bmsg);
              while(sleepCount < 2){
                   written = sock.write(buffer[0]);
                   System.out.println("Message printed = " + written);
                   buffer[0].rewind();
                   try {
                              long numMillisecondsToSleep = 1000; // 1 second
                        Thread.sleep(numMillisecondsToSleep);
                          } catch (InterruptedException e) {
                   sleepCount++;
                   written = 0;
              sock.close();
         This is just basic code to connect to the server and send some text every second.
    The server detects the connection by this program. The server also successfully reads in the message and outputs it to screen(btw, I am running the server in one linux terminal and the client in another seperate terminal).
    When the client is finished it closes the connection. The server notices this because the next read it does returns -1. So the socket channel on the server end is closed as well with the close() method.
    Now when the server is still running and I execute the above client code again for a second time the server doesn't notify me that a connection has been accepted like it did last time. The client program connects successfully without any exceptions. It then proceeds to send the text message to the server again, once per second.
    However the server doesn't do anything. The select() method returns 0 keys that are ready for IO.
    How is this possible? The server is saying nothing is connecting to it, however the client connects fine and proceeds to send the server data.
    Thanks,
    Nick

    baah!
    I saw the problem 15 minutes after I posted to the forum.
    It was this line in my server
    key.interestOps(key.interestOps() & ~readyOps);
    It removes the interest from the key. I used it from an example I saw that "Deactivates" a keys interest when it is working with that key. So in my case when a key was isAcceptable it would "deactivate" OP_ACCEPT flag for that key representing the ServerSocketChannel.
    When I was finished accepting an incoming connection I forgot to "re-activate" the channels interest in OP_ACCEPT again. Hence why the client would only connect once. After one connection the server wasn't interested in incoming connections anymore.

  • Mail 2.1.3 outgoing mail server not recognized

    I am running Mail 2.1.3 (OS 10.4.11) on an old power book. I use the outgoing mail server "smtp.me.com:name" . Each time Mail is restarted, sending an email results in the error message "Cannot verify SSL server...". Hitting Continue  lets the message be sent. Using the prescribed solution: ((1) show certificate (2) move certificate to desk top (3) double click and choose X509anchor) has no effect.  Changing the Port number e.g. from 25 to 587, also has no effect. Is there a solution to this problem, or is there something wrong with "smtp.me.com"?

    I did the suggested set-up, but no joy. The result was as before:
    There is no option "SMTP Authentification required" What I see is
    Hitting Continue still works, but clearly there is still something wrong. Do you have any other suggestions?
