Migration from HTMLDB version 1.4 to 1.6

I would like to find out if its possible to upgrade HTMLDB version 1.4 to 1.6.
Can you send me more information about this please and my email address is [email protected]
thanks Peter

Peter,
You should export your workspace, applications, images, css, etc., from your 1.4 installation to files. Then install 1.6 and the 1.6.1 patch. Then import/install the workspace, all applications, images, css, etc., from the files you saved into the new HTML DB instance.

  • Migration from Progress (version 8.36 - 9.1) to Oracle 8i or 9i

Hi all, I am trying to migrate data from Progress version 8.36 above to Oracle 8i and possibly 9i in the future. Has any of you implemented this before or know where I can get valuable hands on information or link on how to do this, especially the obstacles and issues involving this migration.
    Thanks

    Phil,
There is an informix 7 oracle migration workbench plugin and related documentation for informix 7 to oracle8i and oracle9i. In the oracle workbench download area.

  • Migration from Brio8 version to Hyperion Interactive reporting version11

    Hi,
We are migrating from Brio8 environment to Hyperion Interactive Reporting version 11 environment. I am referring hs_migration.pdf version 11. I am using migration utility tool to do migration.
my question is if I am migrating artifacts from Brio 8 repository to Hyperion 11 reposotory. Will it migrate all the old UUIDS of all the reports to the new repository or will it create new UUIDS  for the reports. If that is the case reports which were saved offline referring to webbased queries will work?

    Hi.
We are just now attempting an upgrade from Brio 6.5 and the On-Demand Server to Hyperion 9.3. Are any of you able and willing to address questions as they come up? I understand the set up and security of the Brio product thoroughly .. and create reports and EIS sections. BUT ... the terminology change from Brio to Hyp 9 is daunting and I'm needing to know how to begin to construct what in Brio I think of as the "Catalog". I'm interested in keeping our initial Hyp9 implementation simple ... and not take advantage of all the options in Hyp 9 which are not part of Brio.
    Thank you!

  • Migrating from OWB Version 9.0.2 to OWB 10g R2

    Hi
I have successfully exported some objects such as Dimensions and facts from Version 9.0.2 to OWB 10gR2.
While importing these objetcs into 10gR2 I got the warning :
The language locale id <en_US> in the MDL file is different from the repository language locale id <en_GB> Do you want to continue with the import ?
I clicked on Yes and the imports were successful
However, when I tried the same process for importing a Mapping I got the following error
CNV0002-0037(ERROR): Target language American English with ISO id en_US is already used in this repository by source language American English with ISO id en_US.
Can anybody provided any suggestions on how to overcome this.
    Appreciate any help
    Thanks,
    Sushant

    Hi,
i think that there´re different Character Sets between the old an the new Server , you migrated to.
It´s funny that the import of your Project ended successfully, i´m surprised :-)
Hm, maybe you can made this with a hole Project, but not with only a Mapping,
or still only one Metadata Object?
However, if i stands in your Shoes, i would try to create the Mapping by Hand in the new environment.
`Cause changing a Character Set is quit harder ;-)

  • Migrating from htmldb 1.5 to apex 2.2.1

    Hi All,
We are in the process to migrate our environments (a total of 8) to the latest version of Apex (htmldb).
In order to do that we are looking for the following documentation:
    1) Bugs solved for version 1.5 in the new releases.
    2) New features available that we have to be aware in order to evaluate/use them.
    3) Differences in the way we have to work in v2.2.1 comparing it to v1.5. We have to train around 25 developers in the new version in order to not lose productivity.
We also are planning to migrate to the Oracle Modern Look and Feel. Is this theme included in any of the new versions of Apex?
Any suggestion to do our migration smoothly will be appreciate.
    Regards
    Harvey

    Harvey,
As a start, you should gather and read the Release Notes and Installation documentation for version 1.6, version 2.0, and version 2.2.
You're not going to find a comprehensive bug list that goes back to 1.5.

Can I go from 8 to 11? ( I am thinking that you have to go to 9 first)
No you cannot directly upgrade from 8i to 11gr2 - you can if you use export/import. Pl identify how big your database is and how much downtime you can afford.
Other issue is the 8i is using xp and will soon get upgraded to windows 7 which I know is not compatibly?
So should I place the 11g on window 7 OS and than migrate the data?
One option is to install 11gR2 on Win 7 (you will need Profressional or higher), then export from 8i and import into 11gr2

  • Help on Migration from DB2 version 8.1 to Oracle 10g

    Hi All
We have one requirement of migrating one Mainframe database to Oracle 10g. the DB version is DB2 8.1 on Z OS. We are thinking of using Oracle Migration workbench. Can someome help me know if this is supported by OMWB tool or not. I checked in oracle site, they have mentioned some details about V4R5. Could not conclude. Please confirm this. Also let me know if there is any tool that we can use or we have to go manually. Any pointrs would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Prashant

OMWB nor its follow up product SQL Developer Migration workbench support DB2 z/OS migrations. You have to do them "manually".
For a manual migration you might use an Oracle Gateway which allows you to use an Oracle database link to the Db database and you can then use the gateway to copy the data from Db2 to Oracle. Another alternative would be to unload the DB2 data into an ascii file and to load it into the Oracle database using SQL*Loader. You might also use Golden Gate which is commonly used to replicate data between Oracle and DB2 - but it allows you also to use it as a migration utility.
There are also Oracle partners that can assist you with the migration - please have a look at:

  • Migrating from 2004 version to 2005

    Hi all
i'm going to instal sb1 2005 version on my computer. i've been working up until now with 2004 version and i wonder if i can maintain the work.
especially when it comes to the data base which is sql server 2000 data base.
my question is can it still be run on 2005 same for the code or do i have to write the program again?

    Yechiel,
SAP Business One 2005A SP01 can use MS SQL Server 2000 and 2005 as the Db ... so you should not have any issues as far as the upgrade from 2004A to 2005A although you will want to read the Install and Upgrade Guides as well as the Release Notes that come with 2005A as well as backup your databases prior to upgrade!
With respect to your add-on program that you have written to integrate with SAP Business One 2004A, you will want to read the Compatibility documentation for SAP Business One 2005A SP01 as this will list the changes between the versions.  You will want to then adjust your add-on accordingly (if need be) and test.  The link to the Compatibility documentation is listed here:

  • Migration to ECC 6.0 from Older versions

    Hi
We want to migrate from two versions namely 3.1i and 4.6c (both of them in separate instances) to a unified ECC 6.0 in a different server.
Scenario 1: We are not planning any new functionalities but just to replicate the old functionalities as well as Old org structure in ECC 6.0.
Scenario 2: Alternatively assuming we have two Op Concerns and 3 Controlling areas in both the versions. We merge the Op Concern into one and have 2 or 1 Controlling area(s) in ECC 6.0, what could be the potential issues.
What is the best practice and what could be the potential issues, especially this migration happens in the middle of the fiscal year.
Any inputs in this regard will be highly appreciated.

  • Migrating from SBS 2011 to Windows Server 2012R2 Standard with 365

Im looking to move SBS 2011 to Server 2012R2 standard and with a 365 migration as well.
    Im thinking
    BPA for AD (health check)
Add the Server2012R2 as a DC
    Ensure replication
    Move DHCP
    Change DNS
Now this is where I get lost, now Im lost to use either dirsync or add essentials service, I have gone for standard and 30 cals with the option  as I have 28 users and the essentials service would make everything quite nice for remote access and backups
etc....  however I don't know whether to just use dirsync with password replication instead ?
Currently Im aiming towards getting the dc up and running then enabling essentials on the dc but I dont know how it will effect SBS and having essentials on the same network and sync'ing people to the cloud ? So Should I use DirSync on a different server
instead to sync up to azure ?
Finally with 365 I have only ever done a migration involving an export of pst's from an exchange box and then on a new domain with new pc's and reimport the pst's on the user accounts in outlook.
However I have read when migrating to 365 was using exchange 2010 there was a application
to move everything across however you needed an ssl cert iirc ? so I dont know how it works now since the nice new dashboard upgrade (assuming the tool has been updated like dirsync)
along with the above how does AD now know where exahcnge if you use the migration app with an ssl cert and is it a case of still running the 365 config tool to configure each user to look at their mail in the
cloud ? Also is it a good idea to enable essentials from the start of the 2012r2 dc for replication top 365 or to use dirsync ?
then finally when replications is all good start transferring the FSMO roles over to the new DC and demote and remove the SBS server
I have seen (below) but i dont think it covers this scenario and I cant be the only person in this situation =\ ?

I’m a little confused with the description. Did you mean that set up DC (Windows Server 2012 Standard) and
then install the Windows Server Essentials Experience role? If so, when you migrate, please refer to the article:
Migrate from Previous Versions to Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials or Windows Server Essentials Experience

  • Cash Management after migration from 10.7 to 11i

    Hi All,
We migrated from 10.7 to 11.5.5.
In 10.7 we used to clear Payments using AP. We are not using accounting for clearing.
The status of the Payment after clearing will be 'Cleared But Unaccounted'.
In 11i, we setup the Cash Management. We are planning to use 'Reconciliation'.
Now, in 11i, I don't want the old data to be shown as 'Available for Reconciliation',
since, they are already cleared in 10.7.
Can any one suggest me on this.
In the same way, the old JVs in GL also should not appear as Available
    for reconciliation.
    Appreciate your help in this.

  • Migrating from 1.x on NT

How do I migrate from an earlier version on NT?
    <P>
Migrating from a Calendar Server 1.0x Windows NT installation
    <P>
NOTE: Because Calendar Server 1.0x used an internal or non-LDAP
directory, migrating from this version requires steps to import the
directory information from this internal directory into an LDAP
directory. In addition, configuration and database information from
the common /users/unison directory will be backed up and than restored
    in the,steps below.
1.Stop and backup all Calendar Servers.
2.Install the Directory Server (if not already installed).
3.On the Calendar Server that is to be migrated:
1.Run migrate.exe to install migration tools in the
         \users\unison directory.
2.Edit the \users\unison\misc\ctdb2ldif.ini file to include the
required values for the Directory Server host, port, basedn,
binddn, and bindpw. See the documentation below for ctdb2ldif
         for more details.
    3.Start the Calendar Server
4.Run \users\unison\bin\ctdb2ldif.exe from the command prompt
to create LDIF files. Repeat this procedure for each node on
         server.
NOTE: The LDIF files created must be edited to include a unique
"uid" attribute for each calendar user. Also, the "dn" attribute
for each object should be checked and if needed, changed to
    reflect your Directory Server organization.
4.Copy all LDIF files from \users\unison\tmp to another directory as
the \users\unison will be deleted during the upgrade to Calendar
    Server 3.5.
    5.Stop the Calendar Server.
6.Backup the Calendar Server (make sure the Calendar Server is
    stopped):
Use the Windows NT backup or another third party backup tool
to perform a full backup of the \users\unison directory and
put the backup file(s) outside of the \users\unison directory.
7.Install Calendar Server with the directions in the Calendar Server
3.5 ReadMe (see installation instruction) and caveats:
When prompted to remove the \users\unison directory, answer
         "yes".
When prompted for a Node-ID, enter a Calendar Server 1.0x
         Node-ID.
    8.Stop the Calendar Server.
9.Using the backup file(s) from above:
    Overwrite the \users\unison\db directory.
    Overwrite the \users\unison\misc\user.ini file.
    Overwite the \users\unison\misc\resource.ini file.
Merge changed values for matching parameters from the
\users\unison\misc\unison.ini file. For the initial node
section, make sure the current "name" matches
the backup "name", e.g., the default for Calendar Server
3.5 is "N0" whereas the default value for Calendar Server
1.0x was "N1". Also, copy the additional node sections for
the other Calendar Server 1.0x nodes.
10.Use ldapmodify and import each LDIF file created in the previous
steps. Add the -c parameter to continue processing even if errors
are found. Refer to your Directory
Server Administrator's Guide for information on how to use this
    LDAP tool.
11.Make sure the coexisting directions in the Release Notes (with
    earlier version) are followed.
    12.Start the Calendar Server.
Your Calendar Server 1.0x has now been migrated.

changed to srchName.boundsInParent.width, result the same; also all other width related methods (i.e. boundsInLocal)

  • Migrating from 10.1.3.1 to JHS10.1.3.2 gives 500 Internal Server Error

    Hi all,
I am busy migrating from Jheadstart version 10.1.3.1 to 10.1.3.2, but now I am stuck with some binding issue.
I can generate my application without no errors, but when I try to access a none default tab I get a 500 error. An example incl. stacktrace is added at the end of this post.
The default 1st tab contains a Table-Form which I can use with no problem and I even can drilldown to the edit page and save some changes.
But when I navigate to an alternative tab I get the error shown below.
When I access the URL which the system should navigate to originally the page is shown normally and I can even save changes normally. Navigating back to the first tab gives then also the rangeBinding error.
Using debugging and from the log I know that no rangeBinding is handed in during the prepareRender phase of the lifecycle when I get the error,
when the app runs normally the rangeBinding handed in is not null.
I have the assumption that some thing is wrong within the filter-mapping ordering but I am using the standard generated one from JHeadstart.
To be precise I will include it:
    <filter-mapping>
    <filter-name>adfFaces</filter-name>
    <servlet-name>*.jsp</servlet-name>
    <dispatcher>FORWARD</dispatcher>
    <dispatcher>REQUEST</dispatcher>

    <filter-mapping>
    <filter-name>adfBindings</filter-name>
    <url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
    </filter-mapping>

    <url-pattern>*.jspx</url-pattern>

    </filter-mapping>
    <filter-mapping>
    <filter-name>adfBindings</filter-name>
    <servlet-name>ordDeliverMedia</servlet-name>
    </filter-mapping>
Does somebody have a clue what's wrong within my configuration?

    Michel,
Usually, such problems come from a custom 10.1.3.1 template that is still used in 10.1.3.2, which has not been merged with the new 10.1.3.2 default template. Could you check if your application definition contains any custom templates, and if so, test the application with only the default templates?
To see if custom templates are used, you could check the xml source of the application definition and check for the occurrence of a <Templates> tag as opposed to an empty <Templates/> tag.
    Hope this helps,

  • Possible cause for Faces failures (migration from an older version)

I've had no luck with Faces recognizing faces in images.
I think that the issue is with how the images got to iPhoto.
I imported 2000+ images from my iBook (iPhoto 04). Of those, Faces failed in ~>95% of the images. Today, I took two junky photos with Photobooth, including a dark and distant shot. Faces recognized that there was a face in the image, although it hadn't learned the face, yet (I know, that takes time).
I believe the issue might have to do with the fact that I imported images from a distant version (i.e. coming from iPhoto 4 instead of iPhoto 07 or 08, or whatever).
Or, possibly that I migrated from another machine as opposed to upgrading iPhoto on the same machine?
Hopefully this line of reasoning will isolate the problem's cause.
Please reply if you are having success or not, as well how your photos got into iPhoto '09 (i.e. Migration from another computer and type, prior iPhoto version, etc.)
    I'll start...
I migrated my images from iPhoto 4 from an iBook (PPC) and have had very little, if any, success with Faces recognizing faces in images.
    Thanks!

I just imported (from my Treo) three images that were exactly the same as the three successes from Photobooth.
Being from different sources they cannot be the same. Maybe the face in the photo was the same but the rest of the file, i.e. the metadata is different. Some image sources write metadata differently and that can cause issue. It's probable that iPhoto is expecting the metadata to adhere strictly to the EXIF/ITPC standards and some of the sources don't in writing the metadata to the file.
Report the problem to iPhoto via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html and give the details of the photos as you've done here. That will help them better understand the issue and get a fix out.
