Migration Issue - package not running
Hi,
I have migrated to a new environment and the interfaces, procedures are running put the package does not. This is the error I get, "SnpLSchema.getLSchemaByName : SnpLschema does not exist". Any pointers on how to resolve this.
Hi Sankash,
Take a look if you associated all Logical Schemas previously created in the new environment.

Okay ... so it's not one of the cases of bodged up ACLs on the Apple folder in Common Files. (That's been underlying a few of the recalcitrant E7W5s.
Just in case, let's try the fixit from the following document:

AppLocker service issue: AppIDSvc not running, but enforcement working.
I have a strange problem with AppLocker. I configured the service (AppIDSvc) and some policies using group policy and deployed it to some computers in my domain. I logged onto one of the systems and verified that AppIDSvc was running, and that
enforcement and logging were working correctly.
Later, I decided to expand that policy to more computers. I reorganized the policies somewhat, but the RSOP is the same. I logged onto one of the new machines that I applied the policy to, and noticed that the service was not running and nothing
audited in the AppLocker logs. When I try to start the service, I get "System error 31 has occurred. A device attached to the system is not functioning."
This is strange, but what is more strange is that on the first set of systems I deployed AppLocker to, I am seeing the same behavior from the service: not starting, and attempts to start result in the same error. However, AppLocker is still working!
It is still enforcing the original policies I created, and is still logging events.
I did a little more investigation, and I see that the AppID service (which AppIDSvc depends on) is running, and must be the service doing the heavy lifting behind the scenes. When I prevent the AppID service from starting (by removing it from [HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services]),
and restart the system; the enforcement/logging stops. When I put it back, it restarts. But, I cannot get it to start on systems other than the original test group, and obviously something is wrong that the AppIDSvc won't start.
It's as if the enforcement mechanism (provided by AppId.sys?) cannot be called by the AppIDSvc, or AppIDSvc cannot access the resources in use by AppID; or something to that effect. I have tried auditing the behavior of the system using procmon, but
haven't made much headway yet.
Any insight into this issue, or how to better troubleshoot it would be greatly appreciated.Despite hours of troubleshooting, just minutes after resorting to posting about this problem I solved it!
The issue ended up being that when I updated my group policy to ensure that the AppIDSvc was enabled, in my due diligence to ensure that everything was set correctly, I selected the radio button for "Log on as: Local System account." In fact, this
service must run under the "NT Authority\Local Service" account, not the Local System account. Once the account settings were corrected, the service started no problem.
I have updated my group policy to fix the issue and all seems to be well. -
I have a service account SQL Server 2008 R2. The package runs when credentials are entered and run manually. The next time it's run manually the credentials aren't saved. How do you save the credentials?

HT4796 migration assistant does not run on windows 8 pro
Migration Assistant did install without any error on my Vaio laptop running Windows 8 pro (Dutch version).
Howerver when started it says there's an (unspecified) error. What am I doing wrong? (Apple NOOB)You didn't state how old you Win PC was, only that it was running Win 8. From talks with people I know that use Windows they would never upgrade a 4 year old PC to Win 8. Especially if it was already running Win 7.
So I, wrongly, Assumed you had a newer notebook that came with Win 8.
Right Content and Data (Like your PERSONAL files which is what I stated above) is the only thing that can be used on Mac from a Windows PC. No programs or settings can be carried over from a Windows PC to a Mac running OS X.
Good luck and all the best to you.

Well, thanks for your reply LowLuster. Although it wasn't helpful, it sure was interesting to hear that you know what content and data resided on my 'new' Sony Vaio. BTW: In my opinion a 4 year old laptop hardly is to be considered 'new'. -

Setup Windows and ConfigMgr step is pointing to the
Configuration Manager Client Package rather than to an old package reference to the SCCM 2007 client?
You might also make sure the applications are installing in OS mode rather than PE mode, but I doubt that is the case.
You might try manually setting a management point in the Configuration Manager install portion. Example: SMSMP=ManagementPoint.contoso.com (yes, use the full FQDN). If I recall that fixed an issue I was having with a client due to the device
trying to reach the test server because they did not isolate it on a separate network. -
IDOC Monitoring issue - job BPM_DATA_COLLECTION* not running.
Hi all,
We are facing an issue with BPM "IDOC Monitoring" (under application monitoring), which we have setup to monitor Inbound and Outbound Idocs in 2 separate R/3 systems.
In one system it works fine, and measured values are returned each time the monitor is set to run according to the specified schedule.
However, for another R/3 system, the monitor has never run, even though the settings are identical in the monitoring setup.
From reading the Interfaces Monitoring Setup guide, I found that this monitor depends on a job called BPM_DATA_COLLECTION* which runs in the monitored system. In the system where monitoring is functioning correctly, I can see this job is completing successfully at the time the monitor is set to run. All I find is completed jobs - no scheduled or released jobs present.
However, for the system where the monitoring is not functioning, I found that this job is not running, but that the job is sitting in scheduled status instead.
When I tested manually running the job in this system, it ran successfully, and in Solution Manager the monitor brought back the measured value, so the monitor only ran successfully when I manually ran the job in the monitored system.
I read notes 1321015 & 1339657 relating to IDOC monitoring. 1321015 appears to be more relevant, yet it does not exactly describe my issue - it mentions the job BPM_DATA_COLLECTION* failing rather than just remaining in scheduled status which is what I see.
Anyone else see this issue before?
On a more general point - the standard BPM Setup guide doesn't really go into much detail on IDOC Monitoring, and makes no mention of what is happening in the background, i.e. the job BPM_DATA_COLLECTION* being created and run as per schedule. This info is found in a separate document "Interface Monitoring Setup Guide".
Is there any single document which describes fully what happens both in the Solution Manager and the Monitored systems when BPM is activated? For example, to describe which monitors require jobs to be run, which monitors require additional setup in monitored system, etc? A document such as this which describes exactly the process flow for each monitor would be very useful in troubleshooting issues going forward.
Thanks,
JohnHello John,
most probably the user assigned to the corresponding RFC READ connection that connects SolMan with the backend system doesn't have proper authorization to release a job. That's why it is only created/scheduled but not released. Verify if the RFC user on the backend has the latest CSMREG profile assigned according to SAP note 455356.
You can also check if the latest ST-PI support package is installed on your backend system as the ST-PI usualy contain the latest definition of CSMREG.
Best Regards

SCOM 2012 Issue The Data Access service is either not running or not yet initialized
Hello All,
My SCOM 2012 console all of sudden stopped working when I changed the size of the SQL database for the SCOM server.
The setup is all on a virtual machine running windows 2012, with SQL 2012 running SCOM 2012 SP1. Everything was working until I made the SQL server database size change.
Now I am getting an error when I try to open the SCOM 2012 console. It just says Failed to connect to server servername.internaldomain.com The Data Access service is either not running or not yet initialized. Check the event log for more information.
here is the logs from the console app (the application logs are below this)

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time? -
Exchange 2013 Migration issues
I have three issues and decided to list them here. Please pick and choose to assist. Thanks in advance.
Environment:
Mixed 2007 SP3 R12 and 2013 CU3. 2007 Environment was webmail.domain.com. I installed new Exchange 2013 (1 CAS, 1 Mailbox) according to:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff805032(v=exchg.150).aspx. Exchange 2007 is now legacy.domain.com and Exchange 2013 CAS is webmail.domain.com.
Machine 1: Windows 8.1, not domain joined, using Outlook Anywhere external. Outlook 2013
Machine 2: Windows 7, domain joined, using Outlook Anywhere internal. Outlook 2010 SP2
I have migrated 1 user so far to Exchange 2013. This user was a Domain Admin. I have removed that membership. I checked the box to inherit permissions of the security of the object and reset the AdminCount attribute in ADSIedit to 0 and verified this replicated
to all domain controllers. ( I originally thought this to be the issue with it prompting for the password. )

ISSUE 1
Issue: On Machine 1 (reference above) Windows Security prompt that says "Connecting to
[email protected]". Almost always prompts when Outlook is first opened. Afterwards (if it goes away) seemingly random on when it asks for it. I put in the credentials (absolutely correct) and it fails and prompts again.
I always check the box for it to save the password. To get rid of it, I click the Cancel button at which Outlook reports "NEED PASSWORD", but still acts fine sending and receiving emails. Eventually the "NEED PASSWORD" sometimes changes
to say "CONNECTED", but it works regardless.
No issues on Machine 2 so I don't know where the problem might be as there are a lot of variables in play here.
ISSUE 2
Migrated user is unable to open Public folders from Exchange 2007.
Cannot expan the folder. Microsoft Exchange is not available. Either there are network problems or the Exchange server is down for maintenance. (/o=...).
This error occurs on Machine 1, Machine 2 and from OWA, same error each time.
ISSUE 3
Apps. Installed by default are 4 apps (Bing Maps, Suggested Meetings, Unsubscribe, Action Items). I have made sure the apps are enabled in OWA and they show up in mail items on both Machine 1 (Outlook 2013) and OWA. They do not show up in Machine 2 (Outlook
2010). I'm assuming that isn't supported.
In OWA, when I go to the installed apps listing it shows all of the apps but has a broken link on the image describing the app.
When I click the app in either Outlook 2013 or in OWA, I get "APP ERROR, Sorry we can't load the app. Please make sure you have network and/or internet connectivity. Click "Retry" once you're back online.
Current workaround is just disabling them through OWA.Hello,
In order to avoid confusion, we troubleshoot a issue per thread usually.
For your first isue, I agree with Ed's suggestion to check if your certificate name is correct.
Besides, I recommend you change ExternalClientAuthenticationMethod from Basic authentication to Negotiate authentication to check the result.
For the second issue and third issue, please create a new post.

Jar not running is sarge and apache-ant shows error of package not found
Hello,
First of all I am not a java programmer. I work in C/C++/C#.
Currently I am dealing a game written in java (1.5) using netbeans 5.5.0 under windows xp. My target is to compile in my development machine and run in the clients machine. everything works fine in windows xp. I open the netbeans ide, load the necessary class libraries, build the project and run it. it runs without any problem.
The problem begins when I run the same project from linux (fedora). it doest not run. It shows some error.
<error platform="fedora 7">

Some of these error were resolved when I set the DISPLAY variable (export DISPLAY="127.0.0.1:0") but the other errors were still there.
But when I open this same project in netbeans and resolve the dependencies with class libraries it works ok after compiling.
I can run it from console (java -jar ...)
And again the same source tree shows the following error when I am in windows !!! (by java -jar ... command)

I see that netbeans uses ant to compile project in the background.
then I tried using ant to compile.
doing only `#ant compile` where build.xml resides does the compilation.
after that I try to run it (by java -jar ...). again the above error shows up.
What would I do?
If I compile it with netbeans in machine A then it runs well in A but not in machine B.
If I compile it with ANT in machine A then it doesn't run in A, no chance for machine B.
the contents of my build xml is here

<import file="nbproject/build-impl.xml"/>

<target name="-post-jar">
<jar update="true" destfile="${dist.jar}">
<zipfileset src="${libs.swing-layout.classpath}"/>
<zipfileset src="${libs.addMoney.classpath}"/>
<zipfileset src="${libs.NormalWindow.classpath}"/>
</jar>
</target>
</project>

my directory contents is here. note. I have 2 packages "cgwindow2" and "NormalWindow" for class libraries and my main application is "CherryGame". The game is "game.jar" in the CherryGame folder.

About my thread subject, my clients machine is a debian sarge 3.0 and when I compiled it there with ANT It says, "normalwindow" package not found. other 2 errors were due to "normalwindow".

Hello,
I am trying to run my annotation processor using ant.
I already built the processor, the javax.annotation.processor.Processor file is in the correct place with the correct content.
The jar with the processor is in the classpath (i can see it in ant -v), but it does not process my classes. in fact, i get the warning:
warning: Annotation processing without compilation requested but no processors were found.Do i have to specify -processor or -processorpath or can i just leave it to the default classpath scanning?When -processor is not given, a service loader is used to find the annotation processors (if any). In addition to the class files of the process, to allow your processor to be found as a service, make sure you've also provided the needed META-INF data in the jar file. The general service file format is described in
http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/api/java/util/ServiceLoader.html
That said, I'd recommend setting an explicit processor path separate from your general classpath. -
When building an app for the x86 platform, speech APIs fail when the x86 package is run on the desktop of an x64 system. You may see an error with the message "mod not found".
Use the Visual Studio Configuration Manager to retarget the app to x64 when running on an x64 system.

Hi All
I am starting in discussion to deep root on Software Distribution & Patching model in large environments from SCCM 2007 migrating to SCCM 2012.
Below are certain assertions i am putting forward for your expert views or you may in a similar situation
1- I have migrated the packages from SCCM 2007 to SCCM 2012 as conventional methods, now i am deploying them [ not migrated the advertisements and collections ], so while deploying i am facing a peculiar situation that the deployment when created is of the
name "<<Package name>>(program)". I am not able to rename the deployment for the conventional packages. is there a way out to that??
2- Will the collection queries work the same in SCCM 2012 as was in SCCM 2007??
3- In SCCM 2012 Primary site there is default role called Site System role in that there is tab for proxy settings. I have observed that if do not check the proxy tab there and punch in proxy IP and port then after some time in the WSUS server the update
source and proxy server tab the proxy option gets unchecked and hence the sync in software update point status appears failed. Is that anyone else also has observed !!!!!

Mail will not run after MBP migration to MBP Retina
I did a migration from a late 2009 MacBook Pro to a new Retina MacBook Pro and everything seems to have transfered over EXCEPT for Mail. I can't get the app to behave properly.
When I first launched Mail I was prompted to add a mail account. If I hit the Cancel button, the app crashes. If I go through the steps of adding any accounts (icloud, gmail, exchange have each been tested) nothing happens. If I go into Internet Accounts after I've tried to add, Mail is unchecked. Checking it has no effect. If I try to add an account there in Internet Accounts I get the error "The was a problem setting up the Mail account. An unknown error has occured." After I try to add an account I can't get CMND Q to work, nor quit from the menu, I have to force quit the application.
I've done the pulling of the V2 folder, no fix
I've deleted all the accounts in the Internet Accounts panel, no fix
I've shut off iCloud, no fix
I've had iCloud on with Documents and Data turned off, no fix
I've done the terminal defaults delete com.apple.mail ColorQuoterColorList thing, no fix
I've deleted the folder from the ~Library/Containers/com.apple.mail, no fix
I've deleted the com.apple.internetaccounts.plist preference file, no fix
I've zapped the PRAM, no fix
I've fixed permissions, no fix
I've even done an reinstall on Maverick from Recovery start,.....no fix
The only thing I've gotten to do anything has been creating a new user and was able to set up my gmail to work for that user so something corrupt or blocking me from getting Mail to work in my Admin/main account user.
Could REALLY use some help getting my Mail running!!
THANK!!I had migration problems transferring data from old Mac Book Pro running Mavericks (10.9) to new MBP Running Mavericks (10.9).
The only solution that worked for me and have everything run correctly was to migrate from my Time Machine Time Capsule.
Here is what I did To Fix Migrate Problems From Old Mac To New Mac -
But Email Did Not Run Correctly after migration:
A. Process To Correct Migration Problems from old Mac Book to New Mac Book:
Set up computer and after it is set up then do steps 1 - 5:
1. Set Apple Preferences > Energy Saver > Put Computer to Sleep Never, Do Not Put Hard Drive To Sleep.
2. Use Disk Utility to verify and correct the source: Disk and Disk Permissions
3. Reset Pram: Restart Computer and Immediately hold down the Command, Option, P, R Keys simultaneously until computer chimes ring twice
http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14222
4. Reset SCM (System Management Control): Shut down computer, then: Simultaneously hold down Shift, Control, Option, Power Button - for MacBooks Late 2009 and later
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964
5. Run Migration Assistant (in Utilities Folder which is inside the Applications folder)
B. Email Problems After Migration - GRRR!
After Migration I had Email Problems with my email Sub Folders not being visible, all emails not viewable and could not access my iCloud Email Account.
I tried re-indexing mail by removing Envelop files from the Mail Data folder (path: Go menu, hold down option key, Library > Mail > V2 folder > Mail Data folder > 3 Envelope files (move to desk top).
Nothing worked.
C. Solution: I migrated data from Time Machine Time Capsule to my new Mac Book Pro. All worked correctly - Rejoice!
To Migrate from Time Capsule to new Mac:
Get an Ethernet to Lightning Adapter to connect Time Capsule to New Mac
You can use the Ethernet to USB adapter but Lightning adapter has much faster throughput.
1. Back up your old Mac using Time Machine
2. Connect your new computer to Time Capsule with ethernet to Lightning or USB adapter
3. Verify the Sparsebundle (backup data file) on Time Capsule using Disk Utilitiy
Path to Sparsebundle:
A. Using the Mac connect to Time Capsule go to Finder > Go Menu > Network > select Time Capsule, log into Time Capsule > select User > you will see Sparsebundle file
B. Run Disk Utility to Verify / Fix data
Time to back up data from New Computer to Time Capsule.
I am now running a new backup from new computer to Time Capsule via Ethernet to USB connector (would recommed using Ethernet to Lightning connection).
Backing up 126 GB. So far it has taken 6 hours to back up 7.8 GB. Estimated time to complete is 4 days.
Very slow. When I get my ethernet to Lightning adapter I will replace the USB wth Lightning adapter and would expect a much faster through put - UB2 maxes out at 42 MB per sec and Lightning is at least 5 times faster. -
