Migration manager forgets to import custom IAC channel settings

it looks after "migrating settings" from 10.5.8 to 10.6 that the Migration manager forgets to import custom IAC channel settings.
cananybody tell me where they are stored and which files i would have to manually copy or do i have to re-create those IAC channels by hand?

The value of the Channel Strip volume etc is not stored within the C Strip setting, as you have discovered.
If you really wanted, you could add a Gain plug to the strip, with it set to give the correct output level with the Fader set to 0
(Or just set the fader manually in MS)

Importing Custom folder/item class gives warning

When i trying to import custom folder in admin it gives me warning indicating that imported successfully but not in Business areas. now it shows in folder list but not in associated BA. so i have to manually assigned it to BA by selecting manage folders. Same thing happened with item class. it imported successfully but selected item was missing and it shows LOV in item class but when i select edit item class and i saw that selected item was empty.
Is it bug?

I really do understand and again I sympathize. Let me state the correct approach and you will see how your organozation is deviating from what other companies do.
Most organizations that I work with have a single production environment. Under that they have a pre-production or QA environment, with further environments for development, test and training. They would never attempt to migrate to production without going through QA first, knowing also that QA was a copy of production that was refreshed not so long ago.
There would also be only one development environment and one test environment. It is not a good idea to have developers working on their own private EUL as this WILL cause issues during migration.
There's nothing to stop two developers working inside the same development EUL providing they are in different business areas. Its not wise to attempt multiple edits to the same business area at the same time as this makes for extremely difficult user testing.
Now, if you do decide to continue using multiple development EULs you must not migrate from these straight into production. You must migrate into the QA area first where you can test and make sure that no upset has occurred. Whenever something goes to production from QA it is imperative that those same changes be propogated to all of the other EUL instances otherwise you are asking for trouble.

Session Replication doesn't work when using a custom Unicast Channel

After configure a WLS Cluster for an WebApp with session replication support enabled I faced some issues with cluster configuration.
My LAB env used for this configurations is:
One Solaris 10 SPARC box.

---- server-2In that setup I noticed if I define a custom network channel for servers ( server>protocols>channels ) in the cluster and set Cluster Messaging Mode as Unicast* in the Cluster config ( Cluster>Configuration>Messaging>Messaging Mode ), so the session state replication does not work.
When I enable the cluster replication debug for managed servers the following messages appears:

Migration manager with Adobe CS2 and Microsoft Office 2004

I had already downloaded my academic copy of office 2008 as soon as I opened the computer. To my total aggravation, it too had the stupid ribbon format that office 2007 has on the pc version. Then to my total surprise when I used the migration manager, it moved all my old programs over from my macbook running 10.4.11. This included office 2004. It seems to operate just fine, but am worried about when I end up opening documents from an email or something that it will end up opening in 2008 instead. Also, when it moved my Adobe CS2 it said some type of error message about color matching. That seems to be the case in the color sliders at least, the colors don't look right, but the images seem fine when they open. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks!

Find a document you would normally open with Office 2004, and use the menu in the Finder to 'Get Info'.
In that window, you have an option to dictate which program to always open that file type with, and to apply that choice to all similar files.
Make the change and close that window.

Custom Delivery Channel - How to register under BI Pub Enterprise, oc4j

I'm trying to register my custom delivery channel in BI Publisher Enterprise with the .
I copied my custom jar "customchannel.jar" file under :
D:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\xmlpserver\xmlpserver\WEB-INF\lib
I modified the file xdodelivery.cfg by adding :
customdeliverychannel.FileDeliveryRequestFactory
This file is located under
D:\OracleBI\xmlp\XMLP\Admin\Delivery
I also copied it under D:\OracleBI\oc4j_bi\j2ee\home\applications\xmlpserver\xmlpserver\resource
When I burst a report, I have the message :"Unknown delivery Channel"...meaning my custom channel is not registered, I assume...
My bursting request is to me ok.
Do you have an idea to solve my issue?

I'm looking at the bursting documentation and it appears as though you can reference the out of the box delivery channels in the config, but is it possible to reference a custom delivery channel in the bursting config? I tried a sample and I'm getting an "unknown delivery channel error"...

How can I determine what sites are being referenced within Central Admin Upgrade and Migration Manage Databases Upgrade Status?

When I go to Central Admin > Upgrade and Migration > Manage Databases Upgrade Status, I have 2 content databases which have the status:
Database is up to date, but some sites are not completely upgraded.
How can I determine which sites are not completely upgraded?

Manage Databases Upgrade Status will provide you all active and offline DB details, you can get same result
using below PowerShell cmdlet.
Get-SPDatabase and Get-SPContentDatabase will provide all active database/Content DB in Farm which include Service application db, central admin DB.
Get-SPDatabase | Format-Table Name, ID
Coming back to your question, if you find that there are some site are not completely upgraded then run below command and understand the cause if issue on specific DB.
Test-SPContentDatabase WSS_ContentDB_Name
If you find any missing file issue in DB then resolve these issue to upgrade content database.
(verify all customizations referenced within the content database are also installed in the web application. This cmdlet can be issued
against a content database currently attached to the farm, or a content database that is not connected to the farm )
Use the Upgrade-SPContentDatabase cmdlet
to resume a failed database upgrade or begin a build-to-build database upgrade against a SharePoint content database

Load or import custom style mapping in link options – is that possible somehow?

I'm working with Instructions for Use and Technical Manual documents in InDesign. I'm constantly fine-tuning our templates, and now I have to refresh them again, because of a brand refresh. I'm using the Custom Style Mapping in the Link Options panel a lot, because it helps us to copy the text from older documents to the new ones with the right formatting, with less effort. The only thing I miss is the “Load/Import Custom Style Mapping” option from this panel.
Do you know if there’s any options to export/import/load these mappings somehow from one document to another? Is it possible to write a script for that? I find this part of InDesign quite unattached, it seems to me (based on my search) that no other people are using it. I feel lonely, help me here!
(I have created many new mappings in an older document, and I’d like to be able to use them in the new templates as well, but I can only do that if I map the styles again. And it’s quite time consuming. Maybe I'm just using too many paragraph styles, I have no idea – this could be another question: what is too much when it comes to styles...)

There is problem in version. Current version is 7.0.14.1 but my version is having 7.11.3.2.0.
Is there are possibilities to change the version.

I am developing a oracle pl/sql procedure to call java program. The java program will be created as procedure and will be published.

Problem is that, I have 6 jar files that are needed to be included in the main java program. And, there are more than 50+ classes, propertiers in those 6 jar files.
It might be not good idea to have all those 50+ classes in the production database.
Is there anyway that I keep all those 6 jar files in unix box (our's is oracle erp installation with oracle being installed on unix box) and just refer them in the main java program. I mean database will be loaded with main java program and it should able to refer other 6 jar files from unix.
if we create a directory and keep all jar files in there and include that directory in classpath variable, does this works? or what is other method?

There is no problem passing an internal table to a smarforms, smartforms have the same interface as a function module ([Defining the Form Interface|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/1c/f40c5bddf311d3b574006094192fe3/frameset.htm] in [Smart Forms|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/a5/de6838abce021ae10000009b38f842/frameset.htm]) so could you elaborate a little more on your requirement (is it a standard a custom forms, etc.)

Migration manager connection issues

I just bought a new iMac from BestBuy. When I fired up the new iMac it gave me the option to migrate files from my old iMac. Unfortunately, neither iMac is able to find eachother.
What I've done so far:
1. Ensured I was running Mac OSX 10.4.11 and installed the latest version of Migration Manager from this link according to Apple's instructions on how to use migration manager.
Migration and DVD and CD Sharing Update. Once download and installation were complete I rebooted the old iMac.
Result: Both machines spin trying to find other computers. The new iMac says that the Migration Manager needs to be updated on my old mac.
2. Connect both machines via an ethernet wire and set up a machine-to-machine network.
Result: Both machines spin trying to find other computers. The new iMac says that the Migration Manager needs to be updated on my old mac.
3. Ensured that both machines had file-sharing enabled and firewalls were down.
Result: Both machines spin trying to find other computers. The new iMac says that the Migration Manager needs to be updated on my old mac.
4. Looked for system updates on the old machine to see if a newer version of Migration Manager could be found.
Result: The only update found was for Safari.
5. Installed new system updates on the new iMac. Rebooted.
Result: Both machines spin trying to find other computers. The new iMac says that the Migration Manager needs to be updated on my old mac.
Is there anything else I can try? I'm not sure why the new iMac still says that the old iMac needs to update its version of Migration Manager.
Last resort will be to use an external harddrive to move everything over.

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3174 has the details. However, I recommend starting over. Wipe the new machine by booting with the Recovery HD (restart holding down CMD), erasing the iMac HD, and restating Lion, but not restarting. Put the old machine into target disk mode, hook it up to the iMac with a 400-800 FW adapter cable, startup the iMac, and it should see the old machine. Details in Pondini's Setup New Mac guide

Migration manager Can't find Mac

I have a new iMac i7 with 10.8.2 and I can't get Migration Manager to see my old G4-733 Power Mac (bought new in 2001).
The old Mac has 10.4.11 and I've installed the CD/DVD update.
I had them connected (wired) to an Airport Extreme and they don't find each other.
I then tried the FireWire Target Disc mode. The PowerMac shows up on the new iMac desktop, but Migration Manager still can't find it.
Normally, I would just copy the Library and Prefs but this is too different.
Help!

You must use a FireWire cable for Tiger. Here is the procedure for your reference:
Migration from Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger to OS X Lion
Migration from Mac OS X v10.4 computers to OS X Lion over your Wi-Fi or a wired network is not supported. However, if both Macs are equipped with a FireWire port, you can use Target Disk Mode to transfer your data:
Verify that both Macs are equipped with a FireWire port. Note that different model Macs may have different FireWire connectors, which will require an appropriate cable, such as FireWire 400 to FireWire 800.
On the Mac you want to transfer data from, Restart, and immediately hold the T key.
Wait for the FireWire logo to appear on the screen. If it does not, restart and try again.
Connect both Macs via the FireWire cable.
On the Mac you want to transfer data to, Open the Migration Assistant application.
Select the option "From another Mac, PC, Time Machine backup, or other disk" and click Continue.
Select the option "From a Time Machine backup or other disk" and click Continue.
Select your other Mac's volume, such as "Macintosh HD", from the list, and click Continue
I have yet to confirm this will work with Mountain Lion though. I have to go to a couple other systems to verify whether it does or not and I will let you know. Give me a few minutes.

thanks for the information .The normal standard idocs we import by searching the idoc eg- for importing matmas we type mat and we search it, since it is a standard idoc it will be available in the list (after selecting the chek box "Import of idoc or rfc interfaces from sap system permitted").
But my question is how we import custom idoc as they wont be present in the list?
