Migration of downpayment amount

Hi Friends,
We are currently working in a project which involves change in the functional currency of the company code, wherein we are setting up a new company code similar to the existing one, with the changed currency. Under the same we need to migrate certain partially delivered sales orders with billing plans for which a down payment has been received from the customer vide a down payment request. However, invoices cannot be generated for those till the entire quantity is delivered. Moreover, there has to be a single consolidated invoice alongwith a tax invoice. The invoice will then set off the downpayment amount.
If now we migrate to the new company code, how should we generate a consolidated invoice, because the partially delivered sales order is created in the old company code as also the downpayment request. Even if we create a new sales order in the new company code with the balance quantities, we would not be able to create a consolidated invoice to take care of the downpayment.
Is there any way we can generate a consolidated invoice in the new company code after all the open sales orders items are delivered and which will finally set off the downpayment amount.
Company Code A with Functional currency USD
Sales order 123
ItemA-2-delivered
ItemB-3- 1 delivered
ItemC-2-1 delivered
Downpayment request already created. Invoice cannot be generated before the cut off date as Items are not delivered completely
Company Code B with functional currency IDR
Sales order456(Newly created replica of 123)
ItemB-2
ItemC-1
Delivery
Requrement: Fresh Invoice and tax invoice for the entire quantity present in the original sales order 123 to set off the DP amount.
Please suggest.
Thanks
Raj

Hi Friends,
Any thoughts on the above please.
Thanks

  • AP Credit Memo on AP Invoice with a downpayment amount linked

    Hi all.
I would like to know the y is it not possible to create a A/P Credit Memo on an A/P Invoice which is adjusted with A/P Downpayment amount.
If the above posting is made in the system, its not possible to Copy to AP Credit Memo, the AP Invoice document that has downpayment amount adjusted, an error occurs stating the Credit memo cannot be prepared for an invoice with downpayment as the feature is not supported currently.

Void the incoming payment related to the Down-payment Invoice and then re-entering it as a payment on account. This will free-up the Down-payment invoice to read in to an AR Credit.

  • TDS - not reversed during downpayment clearing - in MIRO

    Hello Experts
In my example, I am using EHP4 functionality for downpayment. Hence I have down following steps:
    1. Mentioned downpayment amount in Purchase Order.
    2. Made payment in F-48 (with reference to Purchase Order) and TDS Deducted
    3. Done GRN (MIGO)
    4. Invoice verification (MIRO). While I am doing MIRO, I have selected downpayment. Now when i select downpayment, it should reverse the TDS deducted on advance (like F-54). But SAP has not deducted
However, it is working in F-54. Please help me.
    Meena

    Hi Mukhtar,
With new EHP4 functionality, downpayment clearing can be done in MIRO. When i do this clearing, there is not further amount available for downpayment clearing in F-54.

  • Pop up message during MIRO when Downpayment exist for the Vendor

A Vendor is already having Downpayment of some amount, while doing Invoice Verification (MIRO) for this vendor one Pop up message is coming "X Currency Name of Company Vendor Account Group Exist".
In this case when the downpayment amount is Rs. 100, Currency is EUR, Description of Vendor Account Group is Third Party Vendor & Company name XY, the pop up message is coming as "100 EUR XY Third Party Vendor Exist".
While Checking the message through SE91, the message(F5096), the  description is written as "&&& exist".
Why the message is not coming like this, "100 EUR Downpayment exist".

    for example:
            JOptionPane optPane = new JOptionPane("This is my message");
// here FooFrame is the enclosing JFrame.  This needs to be changed

  • Customer Downpayment

    Hi,
The billing document contains two items: The first item invoices the customer for certain per cent of the total order value. The second item displays the down payment amount that has to be off-set
but in my process downpayment amount is not reflecting in invoice.
    Thanks

    Hi,
There is no any provision to reflect that amount on Invoice, you can work arround to reflect this.
When you take down payment (F-29) from customer you speciefy Special G/L Indicator & order number,
    Go to FBL5N >>> Select Special G/L >>> Execute,
Now you will get downpayment recieved by customer >>> Duble click on document number, you will come to know the sales document number against which we recieved this payment.
Try to link this to your invoice, and make some enhancement to reflect the amount on invoice.

  • Migrating Not fully paid  and Onhold invoices

    Hi All,
we are reimplementing R12 from 11i and the requirement like need to migrate the "NOT FULLY PAID INVOICES" and "INVOICES ON HOLD". Can any one suggest me the process to do it. Please provide me the process or any PL/SQL packages available to do it or any reusable scripts to acheive this. The requirement is these type of invoices should migrated to new instance as it is.
    Edited by: 901928 on Dec 28, 2011 4:30 AM

    Hi,
In case of a re-implementation, the process to be followed for any data migration is similar to that of a Go Live Cut-over from legacy system. However, in this case legacy is the R11 instance. The general process that is followed for migration of partly paid invoices is to migrate the unpaid amount only. The original invoice amount may be put in either description or any other narration/DFF. We had followed this approach for a customer and it was well accepted.
We analyzed the option of bringing original invoice amount and found out that it would require bringing the associated payments and associated credit/debit notes. this meant bringing in a whole lot of data that was closed before.

  • Downpayment for Excisable Items

    Hi all,
How to Create Downpayment Invoice for the Excisable Items basing on Purchase order or GRPO?  When I tried to do, I am getting Unbalanced Transaction Error. Pls revert me with solution ASAP
    Thanks

    Hi,
In Purchase A/P --> A/P Down Payment Request or A/P Down Payment Invoice.
In A/P Down Payment Request :
Based on Purchase order or GRPO you will create A/P Down Payment Request. In this document, you will see DPM field. In this field enter the Amount you pay for the supplier. Based on this A/P Down Payment Request you can pay the amount using Banking --> Outgoing Payments and pay the amount.
When you prepare A/P Invoice, You should prepare the invoice for the full amount(ie., without reducing the advance amount). While payment is made thru Outgoing payment it will show the Advance paid thru A/P Down Payment Request and A/P Invoice Amount. Select both the rows and make the payment. Automatically, the downpayment amount will be reduced and balance will be paid to supplier.
In A/P Down Payment Invoice :
Based on Purchase order or GRPO you will be creating the A/P Down Payment Invoice. In this document, you will entering the Advance amount in DPM field. Based on this payment will be made as explained above.
When you prepare the A/P Invoice, you will include the advance amount in the A/P Invoice in DOwn Payment Field. When you include the Down payment  in A/P Invoice, the total amount will be reduced from the advance amount and the invoice will be prepared for balance amount.
Note. : In both the Down Payment Request or Invoice you should use "Tax Exempt" as Tax Code. (ie., Tax should be exempted.)

  • Downpayment doubts

    Hello Professionals,
I just need some help to clarify the following:
    1. Can downpayment or its partial/full  invoice be made with a Periodic billing plan or can only be with Milestone billing plan?
    2. when downpayment is received in FI department, a downpayment request is created to settle it but will not yet clear it until the printing of the 1st partial invoice? If so, can i know the rationale?
    3. is it that downpayment can be made a 2nd time to increase or decrease the downpayment amount paid in total and if there is still outstanding downpayment, this sum can be cleared together with the final invoice?
So, when downpayment is not yet fully cleared, the partial invoice and final invoice and be processed also?
    4. If  downpayment can be made 2nd time, how many times can downpayment be processed or made? Not fixed rule right?
    best regards
    Pascal

    1. Can downpayment or its partial/full invoice be made with a Periodic billing plan or can only be with Milestone billing plan?
    - Normally with milestone billing
    2. when downpayment is received in FI department, a downpayment request is created to settle it but will not yet clear it until the printing of the 1st partial invoice? If so, can i know the rationale?
    - First the downpayment request is printed and sent to customer (billing document type FAZ). Against this document only, customer will make payments.
    3. is it that downpayment can be made a 2nd time to increase or decrease the downpayment amount paid in total and if there is still outstanding downpayment, this sum can be cleared together with the final invoice?
So, when downpayment is not yet fully cleared, the partial invoice and final invoice and be processed also?
Per SAP documentation (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/14/c8af5ad21411d2acc70000e8a5bd28/frameset.htm under payments made) if partial payment only made for downpayment, still it is considered as cleared. This means for the balance payment, user needs to manually enter as further downpayment request at the line item level.
    4. If downpayment can be made 2nd time, how many times can downpayment be processed or made? Not fixed rule right?
    - Again point 3 answers this question. By the way, if the business makes a contract with the customer for downpayment and milestone billing plans, then it is NOT normal that there are many partial payments for down payments.

  • Backup not visible in Time Capsule using Migration Assistant

I have just bought a new MacBook Air and would like to migrate a large amount of data to it sourced from my iMac. The simplest way appears to be (or should be) to use the Time Capsule. However, Migration Assistant cannot see the backup of my iMac (which runs Mavericks). It can see the backup of my wife's MacBook (running Snow Leopard).
When I first started, Migration Assistant did briefly display the backup of my iMac but would not let me access it, saying (something like) it was in use by another computer. Since then I have tried all sort of tricks, including switching time machine off on the iMac, disconnecting from the Time Capsule and so on. I have also run Disk Utility and repaired the volume. None of this has made a difference to the problem with Migration Assistant, but I have also been in & out of Time Machine (the 'Star Wars view') on the iMac in the process, and noticed that it is erratic in terms of whether or not it displays my previous backups.
An obvious solution to setting up the MBA will be to get hold of an appropriate cable to migrate files directly from the iMac. However I am now a bit concerned about the erratic behaviour of Time Machine on the iMac and it feels as though I ought to solve that problem as well rather than ignore it.
I have spent a bit of time looking at other discussions here and have not found any answers, although I think I can rule out this explanation: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5125969?tstart=0 - as I have checked and TM does indeed seem to be backing up my Library etc.
I'd be grateful for any advice.
    Thanks

It is sadly what we find.. that Mavericks just doesn't do Time Machine as reliably as it should.. but the issue could be network.
How were you backing up the iMac before you got the TC? If you had a USB drive plugged in and used that, then plug that USB drive into the MBA and that will probably work a lot better.. it eliminates the network part of the issue at least.
TM does work better to local drives.
Otherwise then I have a few steps for you to try and get access to the iMac backup on the TC.
    Mostly you won't like them.
    1. Full factory reset. This will not mess with your backups.. ie nothing is deleted but you will have to reset TM to point it to the right place.
    The Factory Reset universal
Unplug your TC/AE. Hold in reset. and power the TC/AE back on..  all without releasing reset and keep holding in for about 10sec. The time is not important.. it is the front LED rapid flashing that indicates you are in factory mode.
    Release reset.
If it doesn’t flash rapidly you have released reset at some point and try again.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel..  add no more pressure after that.
TC/AE will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility.
    2. When you redo the setup of the TC, use only names that are short, no spaces and pure alphanumeric. For everything.
Even the computers really should have share names that also met that.
    3. Manually mount the TC in the MBA,
In Finder use the top menu Go, and Connect to Server.
    by typing,
AFP://TCname.local (where TCname is your new short name. local is the default domain)
You can use AFP://TCIPaddress (where TCIPaddress is the actual IP of the TC. eg by default in router mode, 10.0.1.1 you would type AFP://10.0.1.1)
The computer will ask for the password when it finds the network resources of the TC. type that in, public by default but the utility forces you to change it now.
Don't forget to save this password in your keychain.
With the TC now correctly mounted, attempt again to migrate the data. When you migrate do not use the same user name as you used on the iMac.. that will cause a mess.. it is better to have a different name.. that you are logged in under. See the info in pondini.
    http://pondini.org/OSX/MigrateLion.html
Follow all his instructions.. although the guy who wrote it died before Mavericks was widely available, most of what he wrote here should apply.
Just one more thing I forgot.. ipv6 must be set correctly to link-local .. do not leave it on automatic.
So for example in wireless on the computer.
If you use ethernet on the iMac also set it on ethernet advanced settings.

  • Error while doing GR/IR clearing in MR11

    Hi friends,
We have a schedule ageeement created in 2004 but got some GR/IR differences and need to do clearing in MR11. I can able to see the purchase order history of it so it conforms that the document is not archived. Only issue is I cannot phisically able to display the material/accounting document because we have recently migrated to different system and therefore the po history was not migrated because of amount of data.

  • Macbook pro automatically wakes itself up from sleep on its own!

I'm a pretty experienced user, but I can't figure out for the life of me why this is happening. I run my mbp in clamshell mode connected to an external monitor, and every night I sleep it. I've had no problems with this setup for the last two years. However, in the last few weeks, every time I sleep my mac, it will wake up by itself again after about 10 minutes of sleeping. If I try to make it sleep again after the first time it wakes up by itself, it stays asleep for the rest of the night until I wake it up again in the morning. Totally strange. I've restarted, repaired permissions, etc, but it still does it. I don't think I've installed any new software that would cause this to happen. I think I just installed 1password recently and that's it. Also, to make sure it wasn't network or bluetooth activity doing this, I disabled "wake for network actiivity" in energy saver and I disabled my bluetooth. But, it still does it. Could it be a peripheral that's doing this? I haven't added any recently. I'm trying to figure out if the console log can help me, but I don't see anything that indicated what made the mac wake from sleep by itself. Below I've pasted the log for when the time just before I slept the mac and the time after it woke itself up last night. Maybe one of you can tell what app/process is doing this. Or maybe you can direct me to another system log that might give me more info?

  • Header Billing Plan - credit memo and debit memo

    Folks,
I have the following scenario here.
I have a billing plan order (BP) - with header billing plan.
I have three lines in the billing plan
    1) $5000 ...FAZ (Billing Request)
    2) $10000...L2 (Debit Memo)
    3) $3000...G2 (Credit Memo).
    Once i go to VF04,
I have all three billing due. However, only billing type FAZ has the header conditions (PR00, AZWR, TAXES) populated and net value $5000. (Populated against AZWR)
Both L2 and G2 have no header conditions populated and the net value is 0.
The copy control is set up the same for all and all have same document pricing procedure (A).
Is it something basic I'm missing or is there anything else I have to do?
Or pls let me know the process for debit memo / credit memo with a billing plan.
Pls respond ASAP as we have the Proof of Concept scheduled sooner.
Helpful answers will be rewarded promptly!
    Thank You,

    Hello,
I think that basys of this process is not correct: the purpose of billing plan is to define different invoicing schedules, typically for businesses working with projects, and on top of that, billing plan is the only standard way to manage advance payment and automatically determine the settlement of the advance payments on final invoices.
For this, in my opinion it's not correct entering in the billing plan items with Credit Memo or Debit Memo request. You should have only andvance payment items and invoice items (document category = M).
In a common invoicing process, you can have the following steps:
    - Down payment request (FAZ);
    - Invoice (F1) reduced by the downpayment amount (if that is the case);
Then you can create a Credit Memo request, against the Invoice, if for some-reason you have to revert back something to the customer; or you can create a Debit Memo request if you have recharge the customer with reference to a document already invoiced. I think that invoice type G2 and D2 should not be "planned" steps in an invoicing process. On top of that, it's not advisable creating Credit Memo requests with reference to an invoice containing downpayment clearing item, as it would lead to incorrect postings into accounting.
    Hope to be useful.
    Best regards,
    Andrea

  • Down payment for PO

    Hello,
There is one downpayment booked for vendor and cleared the same amount last month . But now my client wants to book that downpayment amount for PO .
Please guide us how to correct this downpayment posting for currnet requirement (PO ).
    Thanks

    Dear:
To do so you will have to reverse certain documents , please process as under, open previous month period though OB52
1...Reverse the clearing document generated while clearing the vendor payment against it invoice through FBRA (Reset and reverse)
2.... In case you have executed Ban reconciliation statement , reverse the that statement clearing document ( which can be taken from the main account as has been maintained in FI12 for the House bank and Bank ID)
3... Now post the down payment with reference to PO in previous month date..
    4..Book the invoice through MIRO
    5...Make payment through F-53
6...Execute that statement in FEBAN and post the statement in previous month date.
I assumed that you use FF67 for BRS and F-53 ( not F110 ) for payment.
