Migration of Marketing Attributes from other system

Hi,
We want to migrate the Marketing Attributes from non-SAP CRM system into SAP CRM system.
But the concern is if some of the customers have visited our website and changed some attributes, like hobbies or job position, the new attributes will be there in CRM system.
The problem is in that case if we migrate the attributes from non SAP system, then will these migrated attributes overwrite the exisitng CRM attributes for the same BPs? If yes, what is the way out so that we don't lose the new attributes of the BPs and also migrate the attributes from another system into CRM.

Can't you use Legacy System Migration Workbench(LSMW) for your requirement?

CRMD_MKT_TOOLS works fine to move the Marketing Set/Attributes form one box to another box (eg: dev -> qty), as part of data migration - my ABAPer wrote the ABAP function to default the Marketing Attributes in dev. based on SAP number(s) generated in dev. (eg: S0000000129) but these number are not the same in another box (qty) as they are system generated. When we moved his code to qty. data migration is failed. My question is - what is the best approach or logic to deal with such situations

Problem with BAPI BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA when calling from other system

Hi All,
I able create new material using the BAPI BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA in development system.
but when i am calling this BAPI from other systems by passing the same values that i used in the development system . system is giving me an error ( in the return statement) saying that material number doesn't exists .
Can any one have some pointers towards this ?

this FM BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA
is used to extend a material to another plant
for that you need to read the original data via BAPI_MATERIAL_GET_DETAIL and then select additional data from MKVE and save it via BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA with table parameter SALESDATA

No, we cannot make the query from other system as a source in APD.
The APD allows you to create analysis processes from the data which resides in your BI system.

I want to pull an *.excel/ *.csv file through ABAP code.The target file that I want to access in my ABAP code is stored into another PC in the same Local area network under some directory say 'c:\temp\credit.csv'.
I have the logon information of the target file's PC.
Please help me with code if anyone of you having.

Displaying sales order from other system

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement of displaying sales order from other system. I will be fetching sales orders through a RFC call and displaying it in an ALV. on clicking of the sales order displayed from the ALV, I need to display it from the other system.
How can I go about this?

- displaying SO from other system through RFC:
create a remote enabled function in that target system. call this FM from your current system. (for RFC calls check this: [RFC help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/22/0425f2488911d189490000e829fbbd/content.htm]
displaying SO by double clicking in ALV:
--ALV's comes with a event USER_COMMAND. in this event you can pass your subroutine and in your subroutine you can do your coding... take help from sdn searches like :About FM ALV user_command Event

Migrating Open Sales Order From Legacy System (SAP) To SAP System

Hi Experts,
             I've to Migrate all Open Sales Orders From Legacy System (SAP) To SAP System using Business Objects with a new SALES ORDER DOCUMENT NUMBER referencing the older one.
           I'll get all the required data with field in an excel file.
             Does any standard transaction exist for it ? Or how to go ahead with it ?

   there are lot of ways of doing it depending on data upload volume it will be decided .
1) thru abap bdc program which directly uses XL sheet data and creates SO using bapi/FMs.
2) using scat.functional consultant should be good enough to use this.
3)lsmw-laborious procedure but achievable.

Migration of Work Items from one system to another

Dear Experts,
We are migrating an application from one system to other and it involves BI, Webdynpro, BSP and workflow. This is mainly a portal application which involves BI as the backend. While migrating the application with the existing data we also require to migrate the open Work items of the Users.
Can anyone help us in migrating the Work Items or the possibilities of doing the same.

Am opening this thread again.
Using Transaction SWW_SARA I have Archived the Completed and Cancelled workitems in one Production system(For Ref, P1) and it got stored as a File in the Application Server.
But while I tried to view the archived workitems via the same Transaction I can see only the header of the Workitem and not the detailed information of the same.
Is this the only method to view the archived Workitem or any other way is available to view the detailed Information. Also is it possible to transfer the archived file to another Production system and view the workitems?
Please help me in finding the solution for above scenario.

Updating marketing attributes from BW

Hi anyone!
We're using the Analysis Process Designer in BW for updating marketing attributes in CRM. We face two problems:
1. When updating an attribute with several values (have set the multiple value indicator in the transaction maintain attributes) BW only updates one attribute value. The second value overwrites the first one.
2. When using currency as data type for the attribute value we get an error in BW when we start the process of updating the marketing attributes.
Have any of you faced the same issue???

How to migrate 11gr2 standby database from file system to ASM

Hi,
I have 11gR2 data guard setup of 2 node RAC primary and stand alone standby database.
Primary RAC uses ASM, and stand alone standby DB uses normal file system for data files and archive logs. I want to migrate the stand alone standby DB from file system to ASM.

Sales order to be created from Invoice from other system.

Hi All,
We have a unusual requirement and would like to take your guidance in this.
The requirement is as follows:-
Non SAPsystem team will extract the Invoice information details from their system and put a Excel file on File system
SAP team will fetch the data from file system
Conversion from Excel to Idoc format will be a part of SAP system ( IDOC is one indication we can use BAPI etc also )
SAP system will post the converted data and create a sales order in SAP database
In short they want to send invoice related data in excel sheet and want us to :-
Create an Invoice (Invoice print)
Consume a material u2013 (consume stock including shipping although not actually shipping out)
Booking the cost on Expenses and Labor u2013 (cost posting expenses and time)
IMP - Itu2019s not a real time integration
Now we want guidance as to how and what way should we accomodate this in sap. Should we use idoc or BAPI to create sales order or should we use service orders, etc.

How to publish definitions to agentry server from other system having Agentry editor?

   Now I want to publish the definitions from the editor to the server. i.e, the server is maintained centrally in one host, editor definitions from different systems should published to the server hosted centrally.

Hi Swaroopa,
          When the agentry server is running in one system and the editor in another system, both the systems should be connected in network and the Agentry Server folder should be shared to a group of users who want to access your server.
When the application developing in editor is completed,while publishing click browse button ,then network connections,and select the system in which the agentry server is running,then in server folder select agentry.ini file.
     Now your application is published to another system agentry server .Check the application in ATE.
