To configure Business System,
This will help you
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/3e/60653f0c9fa075e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
After creating a new Technical system in SLD. you have to configured a Business system for it. But sometime you will not be able to see the newly created business system. If that so Just try refreshing the SLD cache by clicking on Environment-->Clear SLD Data Cache.

  • SAP R/3 HW migration steps

    Dear all,
We are purchasing new servers for our SAP R/3 environment, because current one's are almost five years old.
    SAP R/3 4.6C on Oracle 9.2.0.5 on HP-UX 11.00
I was wondering about this procedure for SAP application and DB copy to the new server.
What do you think about the following steps on the new server:
    1. HP-UX 11i v2 installed,
    2. File systems for /oracle/SID...., /usr/sap/SID..., /sapmnt/SID... created.
    3. users sidadm and orasid environment variables - copy the same from the source
    4. Install Oracle 9.2.0 with the patchset 9.2.0.5 like the source databases,
    5. /etc/passwd, /etc/services, /etc/group copy the corresponding lines from this files
    6. rcp from current server to the new one the file systems:
       a. /oracle/SID
       b. /oracle/SID/sapdata*
       c. /oracle/SID/mirrlog*
       d. /oracle/SID/orriglog*
       e. /oracle/SID/sapreorg
       f. /oracle/SID/saparch
       g. /usr/sap/SID
       h. /sapmnt/SID
    7. Change hostname on the SAP profiles, sidadm profile files, .profile, .login, .dbenv, .sapenv , orasid user profile files .dbenv_<host>.sh and .dbenv_<host>.csh in the home directory of ora<dbsid>.
    8. /home/sidadm startsap_... stopsap_... scripts change the hostname for the new server
    9. listener.ora and tnsnames.ora change
    10. SAP license installation of temporary license, until the successful migration
Can I do the SAP system copy from one server to another like the above procedure?
    Thank you all.
    Many regards,
    Ruzica

    Dear all,
Can You PLS look at my planned steps for TMS reconfiguration?
    Is this ok?
    For QTS and DEV.
    1. Logon to the target system as user " SAP* " in client 000.
    - Run transaction SE06 and select the radio button "Database Copy" and
    click on the "execute" pushbutton.
    - source system of database copy = (the same SID)
    - Answer "yes" to everything
    - Change all objects from <sid> to <sid>
Ans "yes" for "Delete TMS configuration" & "Delete TMS transport route
    NB.
Should I delete (with SE06) the TMS configuration for PRD also (the transport domain)?
    2. STMS from DEV and QTS and delete all systems.
    3. STMS from PROD (client 000) if I was deleted the TMS config now I should create three system landscape with ProdQTSDevelopment and create the transport routes manualy
I have saved the transport route config
    4. From DEV and QTS client 000, STMS -> other config -> Include system in domain
    5. From PROD STMS->Overview systems -> select DEV -> SAP System -> Approve
and also select QTS -> SAP System -> Approve
    6. Should I delete the RFC connections
[email protected]_PROD [email protected]_PROD before deleting the TMS config in PROD?
    THANK YOU in advace again
    Regards to all,
    Ruzica

  • Looking for Deployment/Migration Steps for personalized OA page

    Hi,
I have personalized a Standard page thru Functional Administrator responsbility. I have done this in the Development Instance. Now I need to migrate the personalization changes from Development instance to Testing Instance. I have gone thru steps specified in Chapter 4 of OA Framework Personalization Guide. When I exported my personalized page from Development Instance using "oracle.jrad.tools.xml.exporter.XMLExporter", in the export XML (MDS) file I am not seeing the personalized column details. Does the export page will not have any personalized item details? If not then how it will be migrated to next instance if we use this export file for the migration?
For example, I have added an LOVmessage for the existing Standard page thru personalization at site level using the Functional Administrator responsbility. After this I export the standard page. In the export XML file I didn't find the details of the new LOV that I have addded to the page thru Personalization.
Please let me know steps to migrate a OA page after doing personalization.
    Thanks
    Balamohan

I have used below command to export the file.
    /opt/java1.3/bin/java oracle.jrad.tools.xml.exporter.XMLExporter
    /oracle/apps/icx/por/req/webui/CheckoutSummaryPG
    -rootdir /home/nkathi01/iproc_cust/personalized
    -username apps
    -password $PSWD
    -dbconnection "(DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(Host = m0765pl2.cust.aops-eds.com)(Port = 1521)))(CONNECT_DATA = (SID = ofd2)))" -mmddir /home/nkathi01/iproc_cust/personalized -jdk13
this exported the file to /home/nkathi01/iproc_cust/personalized/oracle/apps/icx/por/req/webui/CheckoutSummaryPG.xml
When I opened the "CheckoutSummaryPG.xml" I not seeing any personalized items in the xml, I searched for the item-id which I added to the page thru personalization. So I am doubting how this personalization will be migrated into the next instance.
    Please clear my doubt.
    Thanks
    Balamohan

  • Migration steps to an Intel mSATA unit

    Hello All:
In a July thread in this Forum harrisb reported his experiences installing an "OEM" mSATA (Intel 310 80Gig unit. I never became clear to me whether forarmed with the Intel Migration Assistant software I would need to clone my current state of C:/.
I have had the W520 for a couple of weeks and installed much of what will go on the system, but not yet the Adobe creative programs. Planning that soon... but perhaps I should wait until the little solid state energizer bunny is in there and settled in.
    1. Can I download and use the Intel Migration sw even if I have the OEM drive? (I figured I could but have to know for sure...)
    2. Will that software clone the necessary OS files without trying to stuff my data in the SSD? Do I just tell the sw which folders hold only data? Could it be that easy?
    3. Does this all happen with the drives installed inside the W520 case or do I have to get an external enclosure/HD connector? (suspect the sw can do this without taking machine apart...)
    4. Is Intel able to align the sectors of the bits that get moved with their SDD hardware without a second step to do so?
NewEgg selling the Intel 310 80Gig for $192. As a commercial photographer planning to use this for photo/multimedia editing and tethered shooting I hope for gains in speed. I might put a small scratch disk on the SSD during editing sessions. (If there's room!)
    Thoughts, suggestions?
    Thanks, in advance,
    jonathan 7007
4276-37U -- W520. Still have an X61t. First laptop in my house was an Osborne! Now that was a cool computer. (...for its time!)

I understand that Windows 7 natively supports the TRIM functionality, but in an Intel forum, it was suggested that the SSD toolbox optimizer also be run every week. It certainly doesn't hurt anything and the driver performance has stayed the same since installation 5 months ago, From the Intel website:
"....Intel recommends running the Intel Optimizer once a day. Since the total execution time for running the Intel SSD Optimizer runs in a matter of seconds and there is no known risk of harm to the SSD due to continuous repeated use, Intel recommends scheduling the Intel SSD Optimizer to run on a daily basis. Overuse does not cause problems with the SSD but wastes system resources to run the optimizer more than is recommended...."

  • Discoverer code migration steps help needed !

    Hi,
I have created few new reports in Discoverer 10g. Now I have to write detail steps to migrate that code from DEV instance Test and then Prod. Could you please provide me the main steps or any brief document that explain this for DBA?
    Thanks in advance.

Use the export and import utility in Discoverer. Go to File -> Export or Import.
The options that you choose during import are pretty self explanatory. Take a look at this link. It talks about EULs but you will get an idea about the process to be followed as it is the same for reports too.

  • Migration steps for World A7.3 to E900

    Hi,
We are planning for migration from World A7.3 to E900, I want to know what are all major steps I need to do and how to migrate the world existing user to E900. We want to have same user security on E900 also what we had it on World A7.3. Let me know if anyone has idea?

I think your best bet is to contact World support for assistance. What you are trying to do is something that very few people are doing. Most World customers are staying in World, moving to A9.1. They are not moving to One World/Enterprise One. So the chances of finding someone who has done what you are planning to do is farily low. JDE support should be able to assist you on any questions with this kind of move (after all they support both A7.3 and the Enterprise One software. They should have a path mapped out for you on what steps you need to follow. If you don't have a support contract, you really need to get one if you are going to do this kind of migration.
