Hello,
I have the brandnew Miix 3 10.
One thing, really upsets me:
The System ist really quick, when doint thins in Windows.
BUT, while internet using its lagging all the time.
For example: Open a bigger site, not such with just text, like theverge.
If you scroll down, the page loads the backround again and again. So the page always seems to be not fully loaded.
Do you have same issues?
I thinks it a WLAN or a GPU driver problem.

I have Miix 3 10" for about 1 week now.
I also have problems with lagging when use any kind of browser (ie, crome...).
It laggs on youtube if you listen music, every 2 minutes music stop for 1-2 second and then goes further.
Yesterday I watch internet TV and after 1 minute the tablet start stoping sound and picture. I checked sistem and the disk usage was jumping from 10 to 100% percent, and the sound and picture was interuped all the time so I can not watch the internet TV anymore.
What could be wrong? I think that is the major problem all of Miix 3 tablet. Any options to resolve that?
I already want to install BIOS update (http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/tablets/miix-series/miix-3-1030-tablet-lenovo/downloads/DS1... but no success. I just got the error message and tablet restarts itself.

Office 2013 product key for Miix 2 and other SST devices

With the 8" "SST" tablets, Microsoft has included a free version of Office 2013 Home and Student edition. I have a Miix 2 and want to reinstall a clean version Windows and install a clean version of Office.
How do I obtain the license key from Lenovo? I did not have a key in the box when I purchased the device.
This reference article is not relevant since the "SST" devices include a free license and it is only available through Lenovo. I've already reached out to Microsoft and Amazon.com (the reseller in my case) and neither can provide the key.
I'm currently not able to restore from the recovery partition.

Miix 10 - Graphics, sound and general performance problems after Windows 8.1 upgrade

I upgraded to Windows 8.1 from 8 (tablet Lenovo Miix 10) and I encountered the following problems:
1. It wasn't possible to install an update of Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver through Windows Update. This update was "available" until I downloaded the new chipset drivers from Lenovo support.
2. Some times after returning from standby, It displays the message that the graphics card had crashed.
3. I have encountered several problems in these applications:
a) Twitter: When I scroll up and down my timeline the flow is not smooth. When I stop the scrolling to see a tweet the display does not stop, but it does a small "jump" in the direction that I was scolling before It returns to the point that I had stopped scrolling.

the other issues ive not experienced!
i felt my tablet was very stable and fast, bar the GFx problem, (bearing in mind its a Atom)
id advise removing any apps you dont require,
doing a C Drive Clean up, (right click C drive,properties, disk clean up, then system disk clean up.)
then also doing a Defrag button in tools (it wont Defrag as its SSD, but it will TRIM the disk, (its done weekly by default anyway..)

Miix 2 8 - Blue Screen of Death when accessing webcam(s)

I have a Miix 2 8". When I open one of the camera apps, the device can lock up and bluescreen, with the BAD_POOL_HEADER error. This happens once in a while. I have the automatic mini memory dump (C:\Windows\minidump) when it happened, I can provide this if you contact me on my e-mail I registered with (or you can give me ways to contact you directly).
The Dell Venue 8 Pro also had this problem but they allegedly patched it with a recent BIOS update. No BIOS updates are available for the Miix 2 8" at this time.

1 Go into the Control Panel by long-pressing the Windows button in the down left corner of the Desktop.
2 Select SYSTEM and then DEVICE MANAGER.
3 In the Device Manager expand the Imaging Devices and double tap the Intel Imaging Signal Processor to open the properties for the device. Then go to the Driver tab.
4 If the driver date isn't October 2013 tap the ROLL BACK DRIVER button and follow the instructions.

Lenovo Miix 2 10: Sleep and shut down causes restart

I fairly recently ran into a problem with the Miix 2 10. It works perfectly fine otherwise, apart from two issues:
1. I can't put the computer to sleep. Hitting the power button, or selecting sleep from the power menu, or waiting long enough for sleep to engage via power options causes the screen to turn black, the computer won't wake by pressing the power button, and after a bit (under a minute?) the Lenovo boot up screen shows and the computer boots up "normally". This happens no matter how sleep mode is engaged. Basically the same behavior also happens when I select Shut down from the power menu, the computer shuts down normally and then after a little bit (under a minute again) the computer boots up again. The only way to shut down the computer so that it'll stay down is to hold the power button down so long the computer shuts down forcibly. Or wait for the battery to run out...
2. Almost no Windows updates will install. All of them fail with the following message: Code 80073712 Windows Update ran into a problem. I've searched high and low for a solution to the Windows Update problem, tried everything MS had to offer (short of factory reset or reinstall) and nothing has worked.
Truth be told I'm mostly worried about the first problem, not so much the Windows Update one. The sleep issue essentially stops me from using my Miix 2 10 as a tablet at all, I have to treat it like an always on laptop, and I have to even run screensavers to prevent possible screen issues because it's always on ("turn off screen" seems to also shut down the computer). Our local Lenovo only supports corporate computers, servers and professional laptops, and as far as I can see I can't contact Lenovo US in any way other than phoning them, so I'm more than a bit stuck with this.
As far as I can tell this is related to either BIOS or the CPU driver package. I installed the latest updates some time ago and afterwards this behavior came in, making it almost impossible to really use the unit. Should have known better than to update any drivers when everything was working fine...
If anyone has any ideas that could help, I'm all ears. I've heard there are some BIOS settings related to power management that could cause this, but you can adjust absolutely nothing of any use whatsoever in the Miix 2's BIOS. It's completely useless when it comes to that. I'd really want to try and roll back the BIOS drivers, but that's not possible since they aren't available anywhere, so I think I'll just have to return the unit.
EDIT: Just in case it matters, if I look into the Device Manager I can see that many if not most of the stuff running on the Intel driver package (the Baytrail processor driver package includes a lot of stuff like the camera drivers) seems to be saying something about the power states that may or may not be relevant: Power states D0 (full power) and D3 (Sleep) are listed as supported, and the power states are mapped as follows:
S0 -> D0
S1 -> Unspecified
S2 -> Unspecified
S3 -> Unspecified
S4 -> D3
S5 -> D3
A couple of them, for example ACPI X86-based PC, say D3 to S1-3 as well.

Lenovo Miix 2 8 Control panel freezes

Santa recently brought me a fresh Lenovo Miix 2 8 (64 GB). It's been just fine until I realized I can't execute windows update at all. When I go to control panel and try to access windows update, it changes the topic in the control panel window, but doesn't open any windows update settings. The control panel window then freezes and cannot be closed in any way, can't be moved either. The same thing happens when I try to access language settings in control panel. So basically I can't update windows nor tweak language settings, because the window freezes if I try to do so. When I try to access windows update via the new win 8 UI, it won't freeze or crash as far as I remember, but just won't load anything.
Help me out please! I'm not sure if it's lenovo or windows that's to blame but I don't think I'm keeping the device if this can't be fixed. Couldn't find others having similar problems either. This problem occurred basically straight out of the box, which is strange.

I had the same error.
After i deinstall the latest drivers (comes with Windows-Update) of 'Intel(R) Imaging Signal Processor 2400' the camera works fine.
You can deinstall the latest drivers in the DeviceManager under ImagingDevice (known so in english?), then properties for driver and 'install previous driver'.
Please tell us when it works again.

Miix 2 11 Sd Card reader wird nicht mehr erkannt

mein Problem besteht darin das mein SD Card reader vom Miix 2 11 von einen auf den anderen Tag nicht mehr funktioniert. Ich habe das Tablet schon komplett zurückgesetzt, doch leider hat das nichts genützt.
Könntet ihr mir bei dem Problem helfen?!?!?!

Sorry falls ich jetzt evtl ein wenig dramatisiere, ABER.. eigentlich ist das schon ein ganz schön dicker Hund: - Ihr rollt ein Updatepaket aus, das ihr vorher offensichtlich NICHT als Ganzes gestestet habt. Sonst wäre euch der Fehler ja aufgefallen. - Während des Entpackvorgangs, wird man mehrere Male darauf hingewiesen, dass dieses Update für einen anderen Computer (Lenovo Rhythm) geschrieben wurde und dass man es auf gar keinen Fall woanders installieren soll (Ich habe übrigens nochmal nachgeschaut: "Lenovo Rhythm" steht nicht nur noch an einzelnen Stellen, wie von dir behauptet, sondern überall!) - Du sagts mir dann, dass die Update datei schon die richtige ist (bei der Vorgeschichte wäre ich mir da gar nicht mehr so sicher!) und dass ich einfach die "WinFlash64.bat" umschreiben soll. Aber: alles auf eigene Gefahr! Was soll ich jetzt bitte deiner Meinung nach tun? - WinFlash64.bat umschreiben und damit evtl. meinen Rechner schrotten, falls die Update Datei doch die falsche ist- Rechner zurückgeben, da offensichtlich nicht alle Komponenten (Cardreader) ordnungsgemäß funktionieren SebastianLenovo schrieb:

Miix 8 touchscreen issue

Lenovo hasn't done anything or made any specific updates for this device since its release, looking at the dates on its website:

GPS in Miix 10''

I have the 3G/GPS model of Lenovo Miix running on Windows 8.1 but it seems the Windows location utility does not work with the gps hardware (HUAWEI GNSS Sensor) at all and determines the location just based on the wifi/cellular basis. Is that so (I found this page: http://msdn.microsoft.com/cs-cz/library/windows/apps/hh464919.aspx but it seems a bit unclear to me)? How can I use the GPS offline then? The HUAWEI driver seems to be up to date and functioning, installed in November with whole OS but according to its log the last data were received end of December, although I tried to use the offline maps (local Czech Smartmaps app) later as well. What are your experiences with offline gps in miix?

Hi! I have the same problem too with Miix2. No GPS signal available allthough all setups seems to be ok. Who can help?

Miix 2 10 keyboard dock dead

miix keyboard is not recognised as connected and appears tobe dead
the keyboard that it came with had the wrong keys for uk so it was swapted out
the new one arrived after I dropped my corp 8.1 image on it
i have reinstalled all the drivers from the support site
there are no ? in devise manager
any ideas what i missed could it be the bios
how do i get to the bios from the rablet without the dock keyboard..

I had a very similar prolem, after a couple of weeks my keyboard and touchpad suddenly stopped working.
Lucky I had a BT mouse connected so the following steps were a bit easier to accomplish.
Having a look at the device manager I saw that there was a device called "IC2 HID Device" with a yellow exclamation mark in the "Human Interface Devices" section.
I took the tablet out of the dock first, then removed this device by right-clicking on it and then chose "Uninstall".
On top of that I also removed ALL of the "HID Keyboard Device" entries in the "Keyboards" section of device manager (also by right-clicking and "Uninstall").
After that I immediately shut down WIndows (not just restart), waited until it was totally switched off and then switched it on again. After that I logged on to windows and then put the tablet back into the dock.
After the restart my dock keyboard and touchpad worked again.
One more strange thing that I've noticed: Before the operation I had two "HID Keyborad Device" entries in device manager and after that there were four of them. Anyway this worked for me, you might want to try it (at your own risk).

1. There are no student discount prices on iPads or any other iOS devices. Only on some Macs and their peripheral devices.
2. Your student friend is not allowed to abuse their student discount in this manner. To do so and to get caught being dishonest is grounds for your friend to loose the privilege of having a student discount.
3. The 3G versionof the iPad from any country should work in any other country with 3G cellular service. You would need to buy a microSIM card for the country where you wish to use the iPad to get the best network pricing. Roaming with 3G from one country in another country can be a very expensive venture.
To but an iPad directly from Apple you will need to do so from the Romanian Apple website with a Romanian bank card. The iPad is currently not available from the Romanian Apple website;

Lenovo Miix 10 Built-In Case Keyboard is not working

I am having problem with my case keyboard which is not working. I bought my Lenovo Miix 10 3 days ago but the Keyboard (the built-in Case Keyboard) has never worked. Does anyone have a solution on how to turn it on/fix it?

Problem mit Miix 2 Bildschirm schwarz

ich habe mir vor kurzem ein Lenovo Miix 2 gekauft. Ein tolles Gerät bis heute Abend. Ich wollte gerade meinen Krimi weiterlesen und musste feststellen das der Bildschirm schwarz bleibt. Ich habe als das Gerät an den Stromkreis angeschlossen da ich dachte das vielleicht der Akku leer ist. Allerdings passierte dann beim drücken des an und aus Knopfes nichts, der Bildschirm blieb schwarz. Allerdings habe ich festgestellt das beim berühren des Windowsbutton das Gerät vibriert.
Ich weiß das dass hier vermutlich völlig falsch ist aber ich hoffe doch das mir jemand helfen kann.

Miix 3, Screen stays lit when with closed lid, how di o fix ?

I Have a miix 3 10" wint folio cover.
I noticed the screen is stil lit up inside, whe the lid is closed.
This off cpurdsedrains the battery for no reason at all.
How do i make it turn off the screen enediately when its closed?
I dont want it to go into stsndby or simular, just tirn off te screen when its not used.
Also:

Its the most broken, comvoluted POS garbage i have ever seen.
It tok MAN& tries to get this far, and i dont expect being able to ansver this without creating a new account AGAIN.

USB Lenovo Miix 2 8

The USB port works fine for charging - but I can't seem to use it for any other USB devices.
If i plug in any USB device nothing happens

I am using the Miix 2 8 as a desktop. I got this idea from "King of Tweaks" so all the credit goes to him
check out his blog. I'm typing this from my Miix 2 8 with an HP PS-2 keyboard using a ps2 to usb adapter
I started out using a powered hub without the power adapter but have found a nice non-powered usb3.0 hub.
In that I plug in the Miix2 8 power adapter with a male to mail usb3 cable
and a powered usb2 hub and daisy chain all the pieces from there.
Not all OTG's are created equal. You need a really good thick wired one to get the charging to stay at 100 %
I had one that was 'under performing' and replaced it with one that is working nice now.
And that goes for a lot of things. I tried all my phone USB power adapters as a 'backup' for the Lenovo one and
found only the Samsung power adapter for my Galaxy to work (figures since it also demands a good power adapter)
The usb3.0 unpowered hub also has better (thick) wiring for signalling.
When I struck upon this combo I achieved a setup that doesn't run the battery down at all. YEAH!
If you do a setup like this and it doesn't maintain 100% then you need to replace the OTG or the cable
coming from the power adapter.
I don't know if this helps but in place of the male to mail cable that pushes the power thru the unpowered hub
to the Miix I use a Y-cable, kinda like the kind you get with an external DVD drive, that's connected to two
usb power hubs and that ups the amps while still maintaing 5 volts.
