Militar scammer

Be carefull with this scammer: gendavid.p1<br>He says he is Gen.David Petraeus and he is in Afghanistan in a special mission. He needs to transfer me some funds from a bank of Ghana before his divorce. Then this bank sent me an email asking me for 500€ to make the tranfer!! Of course, I have never payed<br><br>I have just reported to [email protected]

99% of the things that these so-called Generals will says are lies. Ignore, Delete, Block, then Report.

Contact request: Is this a scammer?

Hi,
I received a contact request yesterday with the (in my language) default invitation message from a Skype account I don't know. Said person has a picture of a heart with 2 puppet-like figures looking at it.
Even though I've never had random contact-invite issues before, I'm smart enough to guess this might be a scammer and I should not accept this person.
However, The only information shown on the profile of said person says that this person is from the same city as me.. Which is what kinda confuses me.
So my questions are,
do scammers fake being from the same city on their profile?
Could it do any harm for me to accept said person and ask who they are? (I have no added phone number on my Skype profile, so that's secure). Or is there a different way of finding out who they are/where they are from?

possible, scammers might employ such tactics to entice their targets to accept their contact request. Generally, it is not advisable to suspicious contact requests. I think if that user is indeed someone who knows you, they may have attached a short message in their contact request to introduce themselve.

Just warning about a new guy in the scammer activity who have been contacting ladies through the dating site called AYI - are you interested. He uses a nickname MATT. He DECEIVES you when he starts saying he is a US undercover Military currently in service in Afghanistan. He has been working there for over 20 years and he is thinking to quit the army as soon as he can. He intends to start a new life with you or if possible to get marry. Never married, age 46 or 47, birthday according to him is may16th. He is a SCAMMER. Be very careful when someone whose name BEN007WALLS contacts you. I would be able to see him(shortly) through the cam and he is quite young, black hair, in a good shape, bronw eyes, tall 6ft2, good looking guy. Report to FBI site or to the local police.
Suddenly start saying that his birthday is coming and he would love to get an APPLE IPAD as gift.....
I havent sent anything. Just warning everybody, specially ladies around 40's recently divorced, single, or who are looking for some fun and love.

ANOTHER SCAMMER ASKING FOR INFO screen name "Get Immediate Help"

Scammer contacted me after posting for help with my adobe product.
Screen name "Get Immediate Help"
Asked to talked to me via skype and then asked for Adobe ID and password

Looks like he was deactivated.

There is a scammer that just tried to scam me. "her" skype id is jack.lee97
What "she" will do is to show a pre-recorded naked dance video and get your to do likewise and then blackmail you for money.
There are other unfortunate victims found a website, since i am unable to post the link here, just google for jacky.lee97 and you will see a singapore-scam blogspot to warn others about this danger with proof.
Please ban that account and ip to prevent future victims from falling into this trap

Beware of Scammer!!!

I have been getting persistent Skype calls from a Notification Urgent Alert thing. It tells me to go to a website, and when I do, it's an obvious malware site. It tells me that my computer isn't protected from viruses, and shows me a list of supposedly fatal viruses that my computer has. I know for a fact that my computer is clean because I have Norton Antivirus and Antispyware installed and running constantly. I have blocked this person several times and they persist in calling.
I hadn't set my privacy settings earlier because I was trying to rebuild my contacts list. (I had been offline for a year and seemed to have lost my original Skype account, so I started a new one.) I wanted to warn everyone to this scammer. The name on the account is Teresa Gracia (maytegracia) and in the titlebar of the call it always says "URGENT NOTIFICATION ALERT." I am warning everyone because I know there are older folks here and something like that would make them think that Skype is trying to contact them for something. Is anyone else receiving calls from this person?

One suggestion for Nokia, which they should have done it from day 1 for all smart phones.
Please implement ONE SWITCH to disable 3G DATA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your customers do not want to go over each application settings to turn off 3G data. You already know some apps support default destination, some dont (ie must specify the access pt).
Current workaround is to go offline and allow WiFi, but it cut's off SMS and voice!!!!!!!!!!!!

A scammer

Hi guys, I would like for you's to keep an eye out for someone called General Carter nick who is a scammer, this person gives a story about he cared for me and loved me and wanted me to help him with his bank transactions with his bank, according to his story he had £500,000 in his bank but couldn't transfer it out because the bank he was with ( Metro Bank in Ghana ) won't allow him unless someone had a british bank account and had to pay £750 for a certificate which was invalid.
He will ask for your email address to try and hack into your bank or PayPal account using your email address, he also states he's an America soldier who is in Afganistan as to why he personaly can't get his funds out of his account.
So be aware for him or watch out for the sob story these guys give.

hmmn, you can try to report them to [email protected], and possibly if Skype find cases of misuse or abuse of Skype services, they might do the appropriate actions against their account. just provide as much relevant information possible when you report this user.

I have just paid to receive a live show and did not receive it this person is a scammer and I am furious skype name or scammer is [Removed for privacy] and email of her is [e-mail removed for privacy and security] please abuse her

ignore and block him, the you can report them to [email protected] If you think applicable in your case, you can also set your privacy settings to allow calls/IMs from your contacts only, so such strangers would not be able to reach you.

Reporting a scammer user who tried to blackmail me

The user sweet.angel3156 is a scammer and tried to blackmail me.He is using a fake photo and fake name.Could SKYPE lock and delete this user?I am serious, although I did not pay him, it is for the other members' sake. I will report to INTERPOL soon. Thanks!

Hi someone tryed to blackmail me too her name is martine.bonnet , i met her on a dating app lovoo, was chatting to her she asked to chat on skype so i added her on my phone . i hardly use skype really but thought may aswell try the app .thought it seemed abit iffy the broken language. i would never click on a person sending a cam link or anything or cam with strangers but thought skype would be safe , i was on cam about a minuet total , then i thought thought it was suspect so hung up.afterwards she sent a video of me me title had my name and said that i was showing my self to a minor. she said that if i didnt pay money , she would send it to all my friends and family on facebook and skype , then she posted the names of my family and friends. all so fast ,i tryed to talk her down , i dont know why they are obviously used to doing this ,but i was panicking ... i said that i dont have means to pay etc , .... then she warned me if i didnt she would post if up everywhere then after i delayed to respond she sent me a link of that she uploaded on youtube , i went there flagged it and got it removed and set up google alerts etc , like most people have wrote on posts here she will probably just move on to the next victim but makes you sick to your stomach ,that it may appear ,, what has the world come too , im pretty cautious of stuff like this normally , i feel like a idiot .ive deleted the app i met her on , my facebook is deactivated and highest privacy setting and i changed my skype , i kept screenshots ect . any other things i should do ?? just thought i would let people know this persons name and to beware of heralthough skype says region is belgium the app said she was in tyne-on-ware martine.bonnet604 female french 29 5/11/1985 charleroi belgium

i also want to report a scammer... yesterday this preson LINDA JOHN (linda.john.1) from ghana claimed to work in a bank there where a customer had died of cancer, and wanted to make me the benificiary of a $800,000.00 account for a 60%/40% split of the money. (YA RIGHT!!! LOL) i immediately told her/him that i saw this scam on television and see ya!!
when i saw the request, i thought it was one of my online poker community since at that time i didn't know anyone could see my info and had only given it to this group. duh me a lil niave right... :/ i have removed her/him and clicked (report abuse) but wanted to report the whole story as well.

Reporting a scammer [video evidence]

I belong to a community known as "Sythe" - online trading of mostly video game related things. Anyways, i'll make this short.

This is a link to the thread where the person who was scammed filed the report against them and he was later banned from our site. There's a spoiler with the video evidence, it includes his username as well as the trade that was going on.
User in question in kushl9ve (same as his Sythe username) - the trade that took place was he was supposed to give XXX amount of currency after the person gave him XXX amount of currency. He took the currency and cancelled the trade. Everything you really need to know is in the thread.
I talked with the Skype live-chat... but they're kinda... idk.
Anyways, enjoy, and I hope his account gets banned.

Skype Scammer Awareness

This is a message I recieved from a random stranger, and it is clearly a scam if you process the text given. This scammer was also reported in another forum on community.skype.com, and has made its appearance once again. I don't know how many victims he/she has scammed and I'm trying to raise awareness.

Obviously you can see that there are grammar and punctuation errors in the scammer's message which leads to me the idea that this is definetly not a "bank manager" as it implicates and states in the message. Watch out for Mr. Rezwan Mirza Richard E, and be cautious if he makes another appearance in another name.

A possible romance scammer...?

Hello everyone i was contacted by one girl on skype she claimed to be from greece and town was selenik, however she said she had no friends and she said she looks forn serious partner.
Her skype id is ainur85, Now why i think she is scammer is that her number. She has as a workplace number is italian i have googled the number. But she is unemployed!

vand anyone know what is SIM she is talking about is it maybe "I am" form?
can't udnerstand her if she is really a woman
Her parents both died (Mother died to cancer and her father in car crash, Might be)and she lives with stepfather. her english is not very good and some question are not answered until i repeat the question, she can understand my question quite good still.
Is she a possible romance scammer or fake person who is from is don't know where
Since i don't know how to trace the ip of skype user i cannot determine it myself...
Lookign forwards some information about this id. So i could warn other users of possible romance scam...
