hi, whenever i attempt to watch videos on metacafe this message appears: The page “Why Arsenal Loves Him Video on Metacafe” has content of MIME type “application/x-mplayer2”. Because you don’t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type, this content can’t be displayed.
how do i get the appropriate plug-ins?

I copied the files to the correct folders, but I don't know how to use the plug-in. How do I bring the interface up? What do I have to do?

Well, I'll hazard a guess and hope I don't get some sardonic reply. Apparently Igby downloaded some plug-ins and followed instructions to install them in the correct folder for their use in Garageband.

Select the track to which you want to apply the plug-in, click on the "i" icon and the track info window will pop up. If you click on the little arrow on the bottom left of the window it will expand it to show the details. In there there are effect boxes where a list the available plug-ins will appear in a drop down menu. Click on the one you want and it will apply that plug-in.

i updated from PS CC to PS CC 2014 and now my plug-ins are no longer available to use. how do I get them back? I can no longer navigate to the NIK collection, my Topaz plug-ins, etc. They still are accessible on LR, but they don't seem to now be accessible on PS CC 2014

For Topaz, cop the shortcuts from Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photshop CC\plug-ins to the same folder in Photoshop CC 2014

My apologies. Your post jogged my little grey cells to the point that I did a few experiments. In essence, you are right. My plug-ins do not work with 8-bit greyscale images. I like to deliberately shoot B&W and have a Wratten #12 minus-blue filter on the lens--as I used to do with film cameras.
The raw files ( Fujifilm's .RAF) were converted in Adobe CR by checking off "Convert to Grayscale" under the fourth tab. In the future, I will do the B&W conversion in Photoshop with either Nik or Topaz plug-ins.

Connect your phone, right-click on the name of your phone when it appears on the left sidebar in iTunes
Select Restore from backup, choosing your most recent backup to restore from
Disconnect your phone and confirm that your photos are back
Go back to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and re-enable automatic syncing.

First, is your iTunes account on your computer, the account you set up your iPad with and the one you sync regularly with? If yes, just reconnect your iPad to your computer, via USB and open iTunes. After your iPad syncs, and you see the message that it's OK to disconnect, don't disconnect. Click once on the iPad from the left side of your iTunes screen. This will open your iPad in iTunes. You would then click on Videos and you'll see the TV shows you downloaded. You can choose individual shows, or choose to sync all videos to your iPad. After you've moved what you wanted back, click apply, then sync again and you should be fine.

Did you create these notes in the iPad notes App ... I assume?
This support article will explain how you can restore from a backup - which is what you have to do in order to have any chance of recovering your note.

But you have to remember, that you will lose any of the notes that you have taken since the date of the last backup. If you synced your iPad last week, then you will lose a whole week of current notes - or whatever notes you have created since your last backup. When you restore from a backup - you restore everything in that backup onto the iPad - that was on the iPad on the time and date of the backup.
If you backup every day, then all of your notes should be recoverable from the backup - except for any notes that you took since you last backed up. There is no foolproof way to recover everything once you start taking more notes or creating new documents or whatever that you do in an app unless you are syncing those notes with iCloud and backing up all of the time or unless the app is set to sync with iCloud as you work on the files - like in Pages, Numbers or Keynote - Apple's iWorks apps.
If you decide to restore from an iTunes backup you should turn off at sync before you try restoring because iTunes will want to backup your iPad right away when you plug it in and you will lose your old or last backup.

Yeah, unless she backs up the iphone to the itunes on her original computer before syncing again. Backing up will create a backup of the camera roll, so this shouldn't be a problem.

The photos imported by her Mom's computer were deleted from the Camera Roll after the import process was completed. If she updates her iPhone's backup now, it will be updated with a blank Camera Roll on the iPhone.
The question was how to get the photos back onto the phone. What I said would have worked.
And what you provided would have transferred these photos back to her iPhone in the Photo Library preventing her from importing the photos with her computer. And if there are any photos on her iPhone that were transferred from her computer or regardless, the photos transferred from her Mom's computer to her iPhone via the iTunes sync process will be deleted from her iPhone's Photo Library as the first step when selecting to transfer any photos from her computer to her iPhone.

Hi. A few days ago I was reorganizing some of my third party audio unit plug ins and although they are all still quite clearly on my computer, when I open up Garageband, they simply don't show up. Is it possible that I have deleted important folders? My plugins seem to be where they always were (I think) : library-audio-plugins-AU-components but I still get an error message for each plugin used/saved in my song when starting up garageband. How can I get them back/make them visible again? Any help or suggestions much appreciated.

I seem to remember deleting some AU plugins that were not working in Garageband and also getting rid of some copies of (empty) AU folders. For some reason there seemed to be lots of folders (mainly marked AU) within folders, for no apparent reason. I was just trying to simplify things to make it as easy to add plugins on my mac mini as it is on my laptop.
