  • Min-Max Planning Generating Purchase Requisitions

We have been using min-max planning for a while and scheduling the min-max planning report (planning level: organization) to run every evening to generate a purchase requisition. Of late we have some items that are showing a reorder quantity but not generating a purchase requisition. We have verified the set up of those items against items that are generating a requisition and can't see a difference. What are the possible causes of items not generating a requisition when using min-max planning?
    Thank you!

Make sure Item Settup has the "List price" Given.
Source is set to " Supplier"
When you are running the Min-Max Report, it should have the Parameter "ReStock" to "Yes".
Since the records has to come from the Inventory to the Purchasing Module there is possibility that Records might be there in Interface tables. Run the "requisition Import" program and see if it address your issue.
    Thanks and regards,

  • How to define what operation a tabular model do on subtotals and totals pivot to avg, min, max, not to the default sum

When i make a pivot in Excel 2010 i can change the cell to give me AVG, MAX, MIN, not only SUM, but when i créate a pivot from a tabular model, these options are disabled,   i have posted a image, with a "tabla dinámica" or dynamic table
in this case, i can see the functions that i want but when i use the tabular model as a source, the options average (promedio), is disabled.
How i can enable this functions, or are a way to créate a formula for totals and subtotals, and other formula for detail in dax?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi juliomrs,
SSAS Tabular model doesn't let us to modify the aggregate function from the Client side. In this case, you need to create a new measure and use the function what you want inside the SSAS Tabular model.

  • Updating Price and Supplier at Requisition interface table after Min/Max

    Hello,
We have requirement of updatig requisition data at interface table once Min/Max planning is completed.
We need input here like what would be the behaviour of Standard Requisition import program if we update price and supplier details at interface table after Min.Max planning and before running the Requisiton import.
Quick reponse will help us to move forward on this requirement.
    Thanks
    Devaraj.K

    Hi,
Yes, we are using sourcing rules, so whenever i update the interface table with Price and Supplier detials after Min/Max then the Req.Import should not consider the Sourcing rules, it should create requisiton based on the values (Price and Supplier)provided at interface tanle.
Quick reponse would helpful us to move further on this,
    Thanks in advance,

  • MRP Purchase requisition not generating to Max stock

    Hello Gurus,
We have implemented consumption based planning. Purhcase requisitions are automatically created based on the stock reaching reorder point.
    MRP type used is VB
    Lot Size   used is  HB
    Min lot size       is  1
    Max lot size     is   11
    Rounding value  is 1
MRP is run using program RMMRP000 setup as a batch job.
But the problem is purchase requisition is generated only for 1 quantity. There is no stock available in the plant and there are no open purchase requisitions or purchase orders for the item.
So please let me know what is missing that the lot size HB is not generating PR for max stock.
    Thanks,
    Narayan

Yesterday you wrote  Max lot size     is   11 today  Max lot size is        0
    What shall I believe now?

    Hi,
One more thing you have to verify for IR-ISO  at Item level.
Verify 'Internal Ordeded' attribute is checked in Order Management tab or not.

  • How to change the Charge Account in Requsitions Generated by Min-Max

    Hi
I want to change the default account coming in all requsitions which are generated in result of a min-max report.
    please help.
    thanks
    Malik Asif Joyia

    What is your costing method?
If it is average, the account comes from the organization and not from subinventory and you cannot change the account if the destination is inventory.
If it is standard, you can have the account from subinventory, but again you cannot change it if the destination is inventory.
Why do you want to change account if you are receiving into inventory?
And Min-Max Planning is to replenish the inventory hence I would assume it is not expense destination.
    Thanks

We use min max planning to order all recurring purchases and flow schedules for production planning.
Min max planning report does NOT see flow schedules as a source of demand. Is this correct or are we missing a setup somewhere?

  • Pur req not generated for MRP element Planned order in stock reqmnts list

    Hi SAP Gurus,
I have a problem where in MD04, pur req is not generated for the MRP element Planned order for a future date (about two months from now). Is there a specific reason? why is it not being generated? The MRP type is PD. The procurement type is F - external procurement. Can anybody please help me on this?
    Thanks
    Anusha

    Anusha,
??  Not sure I understand the question.  Are you saying MRP is creating planned orders instead of  purchase reqs?  Or, are you saying that no proposals at all are being created outside of two months?  Or, are you saying that the system is creating purchase reqs inside of two months, and planned orders outside of two months?
Regardless, these problems are probably related to your MRP settings.  Try the following settings:
    NEUPL   Regenerative planning
    1       Purchase requisitions
    3       Schedule lines
    1       MRP list
3       Delete and recreate planning data
2       Lead time scheduling and capacity planning
    on your MDBT screen.

  • Min / Max / Exit   controls on the top-right not showing up

I just noticed this ... I have two installs of LRv1 ... and what is strange is on one copy the Min / Max / Exit controls on the top-right is not showing up. On the other it is.
The one that the Min / Max / Exit is "there" is a clean install in WinXP ... but is a older computer.
The one that does not have it ... is the one I ran the beta on. But, I did uninstall the beta4 "first" before I installed v1.
    * I don't use those controls on the top-right ... so it does not bother me ... but, it would be nice to know the fix.

    Sean,
    YOU are the MAN!
It worked like a charm ... made me feel dumb.
    * It does seem so easy ... when someone tells you "exactly' what to do ... LOL
I am going to be soo glad when my LR book arrives :)
It kinda fooled me because ... normally I don't have the menu bar up.
    Thank you,

  • POR generated from Min-Max Planning

    Dear Members:
Is there any way, I can distinguish Requisition# generated from Min-Max planning ? I mean technically in po_requisition_headers_all, with help of any flag (column) ?
    Thanks.
    Atanu

The requisition header has interface_source_code. For min-max requisitions, it is set to INV.
    Hope this answers your question,

  • Reorder Planning vs Min Max planning

    Hi,
In what business scenarios should we use:
    Reorder planning (ROP)
    Min Max Planning?
We are implementing INV/PO for a bank where mostly expense items should be used. Also no manufacturing modules are used.
So which planning will be recommended and why?
Also, if re-order planning is suggested, share the set ups (with screen shots), as to how to set up & get the Requisition qty.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Reorder planning is like two bin system. When one bin is empty, the demand is fulfilled from the second bin while the replenishment order is generated for the first one. Reorder Planning uses Oracle Inventory forecasting information to calculate average demand.
In min max planning, we maintain 2 levels, minimum and maximum. When the stock goes below the minimum level, the Requisition is created for the Qty =Max level - Qty already in PO/Req - On Hand.
However, option is available while running min-max to include or not include Qty alrady in PO/Req.
In min-max, the min-max levels have to be maintained manually and the demand forecast is not taken into account.
    Hope this answers the question.

  • Can we use MRP to plan for FERT in-house produced  with PIR's & has Min/Max

    Hi SAP Guru's
I have a very critical issue from the client who wants to use MIN/ MAX stock values for planning its finished products (in-house produced)
<b>here is the details of the scenario</b>
Client recieves 2 Excel files every week from customer
<b>1st</b> file contains the Weekly Demand Forecast of FERT material for next 1 year and they upload it in MD61 as PIR's <u><b>BUT</b></u> this value is also <u><b>Inclusive</b></u> of Safety stock value (<b>ex: if weekly demand entered in MD61 as PIR is 50 and if safety stock value is 10, then actual demand is only 40)</b>
<b>2nd</b> file send contains only <b>safety stock values</b> (for ex in this case let it = <b>10</b>) to be maintained for the FERT materials
the client wants MRP to plan and trigger based on this PIR's in MD61 and Safety stock level fand plan for FERT, HALB and also ROH materials as defined in the BOM also taking into consideration the current WIP levels (Work in progress for any existing production orders currently being processed) based on the production Lead times values maintained
so what the client wants is they want to maintain 2 stock values, that is one least stock value and other higher value which if stock falls below this point, will trigger production based on the lead time and considering any WIP levels also
<b>(for ex in this case if PIR = 50 and safety stock is 10, MRP run result client wants is = 30 and NOT =40)</b>
    so here are my questions
    1. is this scenario feasible? use safety stock and min/max level for in-house produced finished which has demand PIRs in MD61 at the same time?
    2. Also due to SOX complaince regulations, the client does not want to change the forecast values in MD61, so is it possible to make some settings so that forecast is corrected by WIThOUT including the safety stock value in it? ( for ex: in this case as = 40 only and NOt as 50)
    3. which all settings should i maintain like for MRP type or lot size or stock qty levels or anyother customizations if any required so that when we run MRP, can it ignore the safety stock value and generate the client desired output?
thank u verymuch for your time & expert advice in advance

    Hi Chakri,
This is not possible as per standard functionality. MRP always creates proposals for the shortage quantity of the safety stock. We have used the user exit in the plant level MRP run to exclude both plant and safety stock in the net requirements calculation.
You have to write logic to convert the safety stock into plant stock in the user exit so there will be no additional procurement proposals...you can create custom indicatar in materail master or linked any existing indicator like MRP group to the user exits so the MRP will checks this and will not create proposals for the selected parts.
If you have any questions then please inform.

  • Planning File Entry not generated for items releveant to PM

MRP procedure used for material is reorder based planning , in April -09 the stock for this material is consumed and becomes
zero (reorder point is 8 ,Maximum Stock Level is 8 ) and after that in MRP run the requirement is not generated .
But as per the setting of reorder point PR should be initiated.
When checked the MD21 , material is not flagged ,
I want to know the specific reason why only  this material is not flagged for MRP run.
What all settings i can check ?
    MATERIAL TYPE : YMRO   OP Maint/ Repair/OperSup
Lot size : Repl. to max. stock level after cov. req
    Procurement type   :  F

    Hi,
Run the reports MDRE & MDAB to ensure the planning file entries are correct.
About your query what might have caused a entry not to be in planning file, well it could be many. So run the above reports & then run MRP & check the results.

    Vivek
